Amazon Canada: Huntington 61-Key Electronic Keyboard Piano Only $58 & Free Shipping

Electronic keyboards are never cheap, yet they are the most cost effective way to get your hands on a piano. Amazon Canada has the Huntington KB61 61-Key Portable Electronic Keyboard on sale for $58.04 with free shipping.

Now, Amazon Canada does not list the original price of this keyboard so I had to conduct a bunch of research. The keyboard originally retailed for $95 on Amazon and peaked around $125. The current price is the lowest price I have ever seen this keyboard on Amazon Canada.

I could not find the keyboard elsewhere in Canada. In the USA this keyboard retails for, on average, $103.22 CA. I do not even want to mention the shipping charges! The cheapest US price in the United States was more expensive than Amazon Canada's price for this keyboard - and that is before currency conversion, which adds on approximately 20%.

Alternatively, I compared the keyboard to the cheapest 61-key electronic keyboards at London Drugs. The Casio 61 Key Keyboard - Black - CTK2400 costs $119.99. There was also a Casio on sale for $60 at Best Buy Canada, but that sold out very quickly. In fact, the 54-key piano (same model) at Amazon currently costs $87.99.

This keyboard has the 61 standard piano keys and comes with 100 rhythms, 100 voices, and 16 volume levels. If you do not know how to play, then this keyboard can teach you. There are eight stero demo songs, 32 tempo settings, as well as A and B guides. Other features include:

  • 8 panel drum presets, 8 rhythm cord volume levels, LED display
  • Single Chord function, Finger Chord function, Transposition function
  • Start/Stop with Sync, Fill In function, Sustain and Vibrato, 1/4-inch output jack, stereo RCA output jacks

This keyboard has more features than many of the other keyboards I looked at when price comparing. It is a deluxe little musical unit all in one. If you are downsizing from a full size piano to an electronic keyboard, then know they are different. Electronic keyboards have a much smaller sound and do not fill a room like a large piano. However, you can practice without annoying your family by plugging in a headset to the headphone jack. They are also major space savers while still allowing you to practice playing.
