While summer may seem far away, it is never too early to snag a great deal on an outdoor toy for the kids. Right now Toys R Us Canada has the Step2 Crabbie Sandbox on for a great price. You can save 50% off and get this adorable sand box for $49.98. Plus, ToysRUs.ca offers free shipping on orders over $49. If you don't qualify for free shipping, this item is available for free in-store pickup as well. UPDATE - it's now out of stock online, so you may only be able to order for store collection.

The Step 2 Crabbie Sandbox is an adorable way to set up a sandy play area in your yard for the little ones. These sandboxes would normally run around $100 but lucky for you, you can get it for just half the price while supplies last. This sandbox is best suited for children over the age of 12 months. I imagine that is because children any younger would want to eat the sand. My son is three and sometimes he still tries to eat or throw the sand.

I did a quick price comparison on this Step 2 Crabbie Sandbox and this Toys R Us Canada price is definitely the lowest around. Just take a look at what other Canadian retailers have this item listed for:

  • $171 @ Amazon.ca
  • $100 @ CanadianTire.ca
  • $72 @ Sears.ca

The Step 2 Crabbie Sandbox is an inviting way to get your kiddo to use their imagination with building sandcastles and such. I know my kiddo can spend hours in the sandbox, which is how I get all my gardening done. I do suggest you supervise your child of course, just to make sure no sand ends up in their eyes or mouth. If you have a little boy, then I suggest you find some toy construction vehicles to go along with this sandbox. I have heard that they even sell coloured sand at stores like Home Depot. That sounds fun, doesn't it?

ToysRUs.ca offers free shipping on orders over $49, but unfortunately that seems to vary depending on your location. For example, I actually don't qualify for free shipping but I live just outside the GTA. Luckily though, this item is available for free in-store pickup as well.
