On Dell Canada's website, they are currently running a Home Theatre sales event, with discounts of up to 30% on certain home theatre items, such as TVs, speakers, remotes, blu-ray players, media players, etc.

For some monster-sized real estate, this Sharp 52" Aquos LC52LE700UN LCD HDTV is priced at $1899, which is a $400 discount on the regular price of $2299. It's huge! I only have a 42" TV, any bigger and it would look like the monolith from 2001 A Space Odyssey!
For only $189, Dell is selling this Philips BDP5012 Blu-Ray Disc Player. It's normally $299 and has been reduced by $110. I just watched a blu-ray on my PS3 for the first time ever a few days ago - I watched 2012, the movie. The movie itself was pretty awful, but it was great to see all the action scenes in such high definition.
I don't have a universal remote yet, but I heard these Logitech ones can be very good. Dell is offering the Harmony 700 for $149. It seems like a lot of money for a remote, but I am considering getting it! Every day, I am always hunting for the TV remote, the DVD player remote, the stereo remote, the cable remote... the sofa seems to love eating them!
