8GB and 32GB SanDisk Cruzer Edge USB Flash Drive up to 50% off at Staples

4 June 2012

Store your stuff on the cheap! Some nice prices on USB drives at Staples Canada.

A ton of cool things have been created around the computer. Some of them take off (WiFi) some burn out and go away (HD-DVD). USB Flash Memory is one of the ones that worked out. I love these things. I have three of them in my bedside table. As they have become more popular, the prices have dropped steadily. It used to be that an 8GB thumb drive was cost prohibitive. Now, with this deal, they are less than $10.

These aren't crappy, unknown brand drives either. These are SanDisk Cruzers. SanDisk has been donig memory for a long, long time and they know what they are doing. To be honest, 9 times out of 10 the cruddy, unknown brand flash drives work fine but it's that one time you plug it in to get a presentation or a school project off of it and it doesn't work, that will make you buy the good brand names.

It's similar to the Playstation memory cards. Some of these non-Sony branded memory cards were so bad that you could drop them on the floor or toss them against a wall to erase them. It was funny if you didn't have anything important but devastating if you lost a 111 hour Final Fantasy save file.

Good deal. I need to get a high capacity one of these. I think the biggest I have is a 4 GB
