Curves Canada Discount: 30 Day Free Trial

Curves Canada emailed me today to tell me that they're extending a special discount offer on their free trial - you can get a 30 day free trial of their fitness and health clubs.

Curves usually only give out 7 day free trials, so a 30 free trials gives you a few extra weeks to try out their service (not usually coupons). They're celebrating National Curves Day on the 17th May 2012.

I did a search for locations and there are 417 Curves locations across Canada, so I hope you can find one near you.

Terms:

Limit of one 30 day free membership per person. Not valid with any other offer, no cash value. New members only. Valid only at participating locations in US & Canada.

Have you ever been a Curves member? Are you a member now? What do you think of it?

(Expires 20th May 2012)

I tried Curves earlier this year as part of a WagJag deal. Everyone was really nice but that's it. It is really more for the over 50 crowd. I found it to be rather boring and monotonous, just going around in a circle (their "circuit") using the same machines day after day. Sure, it's an easy workout at just 1/2 hour each time you go, but it can hardly be called a workout. I didn't even break a sweat. I needed very specific toning/sculpting of my lower body and this just didn't cut it for me. I think it's ideal for older people wanting to get their heartrate up and do some gentle cardiovascular exercises but not for the younger set really wanting to sculpt their body. Also the price of $49/month - for what? For going around in a circle using the same machines, in a boring old room? For that price you can probably go to a full-service gym with a lot more variety, amenities, and pleasing atmosphere. But if your grandma doesn't mind monotony then by all means recommend it to her.

This may not be sent to the correct person. Please reply to let me know if there is any chance the curves in Port Elgin will reopen in the near future? Gwen Morris
