SugarSync: Free 30-Day Trial of up to 500GB of Cloud Storage

26 September 2012

Free just makes everything better. SugarSync wants to make their cloud storage solution better, so they are giving it to you for free for a month. It's just better that way.

You may remember SugarSync from part of an article that the inimitable Clare Yeh wrote on this very site! I'm here today to hook you up with the free-ness. There are four options for home users (business is a whole other thing) to choose from.

  • 5GB Storage - FREE
  • 30GB Storage - $4.99/month or $49.99/year - FREE for 30 days
  • 60GB Storage - $9.99/month or $99.99/year - FREE for 30 days
  • 100GB Storage - $14.99/month or $149.99/year - FREE for 30 days
  • 250GB Storage - $24.99/month or $349.99/year (Introductory price) - FREE for 30 days
  • 500GB Storage - $39.99/month or $399.99/year (Introductory price) - FREE for 30 days

Okay, so a couple of things to note here: the prices on the two biggest plans say that they are introductory prices. That means that they will change. I don't know how much they go up, to but if you're gonna pay $40/month for storage, you probably aren't overly concerned about the cost. The other thing is that if you do end up purchasing the storage, you should strongly consider getting a yearly plan. You end up saving almost two months worth of costs that way.

Clare had a good little synopsis of SugarSync in her article so I'll use her great work for my own devices. Quoth the Clare Yeh,

SugarSync is fast becoming a popular Cloud storage system because of its flexibility. For example, it can be used on Kindle Fire (whereas the other Cloud storage devices may not be able to) and you can upload or sync via email. It’s recommended by the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg as a great online backup system.

So there you have it, 30 days of free storage compliments of BargainMoose and SugarSync!

(Expires: Unknown, probably won't unless SugarSync folds.)
