These are soft soled boots that can be worn over shoes or with the warm liners sold separately for 19$. It sounds like a big investment, but this is my 2 year old's second winter wearing them (size L). The best part about them is that they don't fall off. They are really great for just having to take your kid in and out of the car. If your family is outdoorsy, the liners add warmth and the Stonz won't fall off while you're skiing, hiking, etc.. with your kid in a backpack!
