It's safe to say that Nintendo's Capcom is a game company that pleases both veteran and younger gamers. With a diverse range of titles in their library, such as Street Fighter, Resident Evil, and Phoenix Wright, many gamers clamour to hear about Capcom's latest releases. Fortunately, Capcom has temporarily slashed the prices on some of their titles that are on the Nintendo eShop for both the Wii U and 3DS video game systems, allowing gamers to save up to 60% on both classic and newer titles. Remember, this sale will only be around until September the 4th at noon.

There are many great games included in this sale that I paid full price for, such as the excellent Ducktales: Remastered for the Wii U ($7.49, was $14.99) and Super Street Fighter IV: 3D Edition for the 3DS ($9.99, was $19.99). Though some of these games have been out for a while now, these are still some great deals. The retail copy of Ducktales: Remastered is getting tougher to find, and the Wii U version typically retails for $19.99 (it's in stock on Amazon and costs $21.49). Some of these games can't even be found in retail, since they're download-only titles. For example, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies for the 3DS can only be downloaded on Nintendo's eShop, and it's on sale this week for $17.99 (regular price is $29.99).

There are even some virtual console classics, like Street Fighter 2 ($4.99, was $7.99) that you can enjoy on your Wii U system. I was always a huge fan of Capcom's games - especially the Street Fighter series. I still remember that fateful day when my father surprised me with it when I was only six years old, and the fact that I was actually allowed to stay home from school and play it just made me one overjoyed youngster! However, the most outrageous part of this story is the fact that Street Fighter 2 for the Super Nintendo used to cost $99.99 plus tax at Toys R Us back in 1993! That's a spicy meatball!

Here's a brief review of Ducktales: Remastered from a satisfied customer on Amazon:

Clever dialogue, great voice casting and nice music in the background. Lots of fun! My son and I love to play this game.

Here's to a great long weekend filled with plenty of video gaming, Bargainmoosers!

(Expiry Date: September 4th)
