Gap is Closing 230 Stores Over the Next Two Years

I'm afraid I have more sad news, folks. Gap will close 230 underperforming stores over the next two years, due to declining sales.

We still don't know how many of those 230 stores will be in Canada, but reports say most of the locations slated for closure are in North America. What we can say is that most of these stores will close by the end of 2019.

And that's not the only change coming to Gap Inc. The company is also splitting Old Navy from the rest of their brands.

We can't say for sure yet what this means in terms of online shopping, but there's a chance you won't be able to buy items from Gap, Old Navy and Banana Republic all in the same order anymore.

Bookmark this page and stay tuned, because we'll let you know right here if and when Gap announces which stores they plan to close, as well as any updates on the Old Navy situation.
