Admit it. You sneak in some of those Halloween treats while your kids are sleeping. I am guilty of it, and I know we all are. We eat the candies or chips they don't like, and sometimes we will even barter with them so they will hand over the good stuff. But have you ever thought to combine those delicious treats with a glass of wine?! This Ultimate Guide to Pairing Wine With Halloween Candy has got me on the verge of heading out to pick up Halloween candy on clearance sale now that Halloween is over. Especially now that I know every wine has a perfect candy partner. There happens to be this magical chart to tell you which wine goes best with what candy. I am totally printing this and laminating it!

So here's a look at The Ultimate Guide To Paring Wine with Halloween Candy:

So basically the chart tells you which wine will go best with popular Halloween treats like Nerds, Starburst, Skittles, Brachs, Mounds, KitKat, Tootsie Roll, Butterfinger, Twix, Snickers, Reese's, Heath, M&M's, Hershey's and more. The selection of wine is quite vast, but fortunately each candy (except Nerds) seem so have a few different wine options. The wine types included are Dessert, Bold Red, Medium Red, Light Red, Sparkling, Rich White, Sweet White, and Dry White.

My favourite candy out of this bunch as to be Snickers. It looks like the chocolate choices go best with the red type wines. For instance, Snickers goes well with Medium Red, Bold Red and Dessert Wine. I happen to really enjoy Ruby Port Dessert Wine, so I look forward to trying out that combination. My local liquor store is going to think I am crazy when I bring this chart in, that's for sure. Oh well! A woman has to do what a woman has to do.

We could consider this the Halloween Survival Guide For Adults - right?
