Mandarin Canada: Free Buffet On Canada Day

Mandarin Canada: Free Buffet On Canada Day

free meal

Tomorrow, head on in to any Mandarin location and get yourself a free buffet dinner to celebrate Canada's birthday!

To get your free meal, you must be a citizen of Canada and be able to provide proof with your birth certificate, passport or citizenship card. If your immediate family member works there, you are also out of luck, as these people are not eligible. You are going to have to wait in line to get in, as there are no reservations and from what I've seen in previous years, the line gets long. Everyone who is in your party must wait in the line, so this includes your rangy kids and your elderly grandmother. I'd suggest bringing fold-up chairs and electronic devices for the wait.

You can't go in and fill up a take-out box either, you have to sit and eat there, which is totally cool, as you'll get full-service including all non-alcoholic drinks free. Tips are not included so since you are getting this free and you know your server will be driven mad that day, leave them a nice big tip to thank them for working on such a nice day on our Canadian holiday.

I actually do like Mandarin although I have never taken my kids there except when one was in my belly at nine months pregnant and I absolutely had to have Chinese buffet. My kids love buffets with all their choices and this is a family-friendly restaurant.

Bargainmoosers, let me know in the comments below if you are going to brave the line-ups to get some free meals. Have you ever been to their Canada Day free buffet before and do you have any tips for others?
