Welcome to Fall Moosers! What does Fall mean for you? For me, it means endless crying because summer is now over. Besides that, it means gorgeous trees changing colours, cozy sweaters and soup! Last week when the weather was cool, everyone and their mother, including me, was buying up the chicken stock at my local grocery store. We all had the same idea in mind. Over the years I've come to realize that I don't have the proper tools for making those creamy and delicious soups, as I realized, you can't just put that in the blender (watch out walls!!!). True story. You need a hand blender (otherwise known as an immersion blender). I decided to look for one from my favourite and most reliable brand - KitchenAid and found a great deal at Shop.ca. Regularly $149.99, it is on sale for 20% off, now $119.99. You can then use our exclusive coupon codeMOOSE40OFF100SEPT to get another $40 off, bringing that total right down to $79.99! Shop.ca always offers free shipping as well.

You can use this blender to blend right in the pot you are cooking in, which makes making soup amazingly simple. You could also use it to blend drinks in a pitcher, because there is not much better than a mixed drink and some soup with a good book and a blanket on your deck.

This is also no ordinary immersion blender - it has fun attachments too. It has a whisk, which will be very handy for making gravy this Thanksgiving. It has an S blade and a multi-purpose blade. It also has a frother, which will be put to fantastic use making the whipped cream for your Irish coffee and desserts. Along with that is a 2.5 cup chopper and a 1 litre BPA free pitcher. I really like how the chopper can do an easy job of making salsa or chopping onions inside the jar. This is quite a bit of value for only $80.

Checking around the web, this is definitely the best price for this hand blender. Here it is at Hudson's Bay selling for $119.99 and at Sears for $159.99. The only other spot that I thought could beat the price would be Amazon, but I only see it selling for $150 with shipping included from a secondary seller.
