Get a FREE $75 Gift Card with a New MBNA Platinum Plus Mastercard

Want a FREE $75 gift certificate to one of your favourite stores just for getting a new credit card? Me too! But don't wait, because there isn't too much time left to score this deal.

All you need to do is sign up for an MBNA Platinum Plus Mastercard through Buytopia in the next few days. If you're approved, you'll get to choose between a $75 gift card or a $100 Buytopia credit!

You can choose between gift cards from Esso, Starbucks, Walmart, The Bay, Best Buy and Amazon – you know, places you're definitely going to shop at anyway! Just select whichever one you want at checkout. You'll need to wait about three to five weeks after approval to receive your free gift, but then it's all yours to spend!

The only catch is that you need to be a new MBNA Platinum Plus Mastercard cardholder. The offer doesn't apply to existing cardholders – sorry!

We checked it out, and there is no minimum household income required to apply. There are also no fees for signing up or cancelling the card. You do, however, need to be a Canadian citizen and of the age of majority in your province or territory.

So why choose a MBNA Platinum Plus MasterCard (you know, besides this awesome perk)? Just check out all the benefits of the card here!

You only have until March 31, 2018 to send in your application to MBNA, so don't wait!

Keeping in mind that every time you apply for credit it will effect your credit score...

Signing up for another high interest rate credit card just so you can get a free gift card is a bad idea, and credit card companies know you'll be sucked into it.

Don't forget - everytime you apply for some credit, it will affect your credit score ( decreases it ). So do not apply if you only want the free $75 gift card |

It only hurts your credit score if you apply for several credit cards within a short time frame - otherwise it only knocks it down a few points but will go away after a few months. It is a pretty common myth that it greatly affects your credit score but if you are smart about it then in the end it doesn't really hurt it at all. Just don't apply for quite a few at a time.

It should take anywhere from three to five weeks after approval for you to get your gift card. If you still don't have it, you can try calling 1-855-442-2220.
