Okay, there are always going to be people who love Halloween and others who can't wait to put up the Christmas tree as soon as the trick-or-treaters have gone home to bed. Well, I might have just found the perfect compromise for people who want to celebrate both seasons for as long as they can. And no, it's not anything to do with the Nightmare Before Christmas. They're actually ornaments I found on Etsy.
British Columbia-based seller Build an Ornament makes all kinds of tree decorations, including some custom ones we've mentioned before. But the last time I checked out their stock, I found something pretty incredible: these Horror Movie Killers Ornaments! They start at $24.99, and they're completely customizable.
You can choose up to five terrifying characters from their list of 25 feature creatures, including Jigsaw, Freddy Krueger, Pinhead, the Joker, Hannibal Lecter, Annabelle and Dracula. Just check out the images on the product listing and then enter which the corresponding numbers when you order.
You also have the option to choose a different quote or phrase for the front of the ornament, and if you want to shell out an extra $3, you can add a message to the back of your ornament. Either way, shipping is free!
I'm much more spoopy than scary, and I'll admit that while I recognize (almost) all of the characters you can choose from for these ornaments, I've probably only seen a handful of their movies. Luckily, there's something else for people like me. The same seller also makes a Hocus Pocus Christmas Ornament!
It features everybody's favourite witches, the Sanderson sisters, all decked out in boughs of holly – and reindeer antlers and Santa hats. These ornaments also start at $24.99 shipped and read "Oh look! Another glorious Christmas. Makes me sick!" ... unless you choose to change the text to something else.
