eBay Canada is having a promotion where you can list your items at a fixed price, instead of auction style, for free. Usually this costs 50 cents per listing to do. If you are an eBay seller, this is a golden opportunity for you. If you are just a regular eBayer needing to purge the ol' closet, take advantage!
I like this promo because it encourages me to list things that I have had sitting in my shelves for ages... that are in mint, or near mint condition. Just last night I took a 1/2 hr and listed some Puma Sergio Rossi high heel lace ups I have had sitting in their dust bag in my closet for a while. I love the shoes to death, but cannot walk in a 4.5" heel to save my life.
Though the fixed price insertion fee is usually only 50 cents, if you are listing multiple items, which can add up. Also, if you are going to sell items on eBay, here are a few tips:
- Provide good pictures, and an accurate descriptions
- Make sure to price out shipping before deciding on a shipping cost
- Ensure your return policies are clear
- I highly suggest working tracking and insurance into your shipping price, to cover yourself and the buyer
The free Fixed Price excludes 30-day and GTC listings. I went for a 10-day listing myself.
Expiry: 18th, August 2012
