Britax Affinity Stroller & Bassinet Set: Buy 1 Get 1 Half Price @ Toys R Us Canada!

This little deal is for the expectant parents out there. Over at Toys R Us Canada, there is a multi-buy deal on the Britax Affinity stroller, which comes with the black frame and bassinet. The price of this item is down from $799.99 to $599.98, PLUS they are on a buy 1 get 1 half price offer! If a few of you need a new stroller, then it would be a fantastic idea to get together and buy this deal!

So as you can see from the image above, you get the bassinet part which is suitable for a newborn baby, up to 20lbs. Then, the stroller part is suitable from age 6 months up to 55lbs in weight for the child. You also get a “color pack” in this deal, which consists of the canopy, shoulder and buckle pads, basket liner and padded seat liner. You’d get a good few years usage out of this stroller set – I used my stroller for my little one until she was over 3 years old.

Shipping is a bit of a bummer though – you cannot collect this item in-store. Shipping will depend on where you live, but there is a $10 shipping discount on each item. On a test order to Ontario, shipping was an extra ~$41 roughly.

Let’s price compare and give you an idea of the saving here. Including shipping and the cost of the Britax stroller, you’re paying a total of $471 for each stroller set. Over on Amazon.ca, you can buy the base stroller for $350 on its own, the colour pack for an extra $50 (but only in blue), and the bassinet for $100. That totals $500+, so you can see there’s already a saving involved here. The stroller and color pack is $600 on Crocodile Baby and that’s without the bassinet.

Some of you reading this may think to yourselves, how many pregnant people know other pregnant people and would actually pair up for this deal? Well, in my experience, quite a few! When I was pregnant last time, so were two of my sisters-in-law. We were all due within a few months of each other, and this type of deal would definitely have been considered.

When I had my first baby, the cost of the stroller was the biggest initial outlay for me. Yes there were lots of other small purchases and accessories such as bouncers, walkers and changing tables, but the stroller was the biggie. Some of you also may be asking… why not just get a cheap stroller for a hundred bucks – there are huge differences. I spent extra on a great stroller something like this one, and it has lasted for five and a half years, through two babies (so far). It was an investment and has been a pleasure to use over the years.

If you’re going to get together with someone to take advantage of this deal, you’re saving a couple hundred bucks – can’t be a bad thing!
