Sony 60" 1080p LED Smart TV Was $1500 Now $1100 @ Canada Computers! (EXPIRED)

6 June 2015

If there’s a 60” gap on your living room wall, then I know just what you could put in it! This Sony KDL60W630B 60" 1080p LED Smart TV! It’s a pretty great price just now – the regular price is $1499 but when you add it to your cart at Canada Computers, the price drops to only $1099.

There are quite a few details about the specifications and features of this TV on the above page on Canada Computers, so if you are considering buying it, make sure to have a good read there. Here is a quick list of a few of the features:

  • Built-in Wi-Fi
  • Sony Entertainment Network
  • USB input (x2)
  • HDMI input (x4)
  • X-Reality PRO
  • Motionflow XR 240

I had no idea what the last two in the list were. Apparently, X-Reality PRO is a special engine which shows more colour, detail and clarity on your picture. And Motionflow XR 240 is to do with the refresh rates; with the feature being that it smoothes out the picture, making fast-moving scenes appear more natural. There you go!

TV Reviews

This Sony TV has a lot of reviews on the interwebs, you can google for more details if you wish. But to take a bit of snapshot, there are 28 ratings here on, with the TV scoring 4.5/5. Nearly all of the ratings are five stars, with most customers stating that it’s an incredible TV for the price range.

Shipping Costs

If you live in the GTA, you can get this item shipped to you for FREE. However, for those of you not in GTA, there is a small shipping fee which depends on where you live. I did a few test carts and the shipping was between $13 and $19, which is very reasonable for an item, this size.

Price Comparison

While most other online tech stores in Canada have this TV priced around the $1500 mark, a few stores have it slightly cheaper. The next best (in stock) price I can find is $1200 @ Walmart, followed by $1300 @ The Source. You can see that this Sony KDL60W630B is also $1099 on NCIX, but it’s on backorder and when you add it to your cart, it comes up at $1500 anyway, so it’s no cheaper there. Even when you take into account the possible small shipping fee, the price at Canada Computers is great compared to the competitors.

I couldn’t fit a 60” TV in my room, it would just be too big. How about you? Would you have the space for this TV?
