My family has always had a tradition of getting together, usually Christmas Eve, and watching our favorite Christmas movies. It’s a time we all enjoy very much. There is always a buffet full of the favorite homemade snacks, like chicken wings, beef wrap ups, spinach dip, cheese spreads and of course many desserts. I’m not sure if it’s the movie’s snacks or the fact that everyone is allowed to open one present that makes it exciting, or a combination of everything, but it certainly is a time we all enjoy.
Our most favorite movie is probably National Lampoons Christmas Vacation that was $19.99 and is now $11.99. No one can beat Chevy Chase and his light decorations, using more electricity than the entire town combined. Or how about when cousin Eddy shows up with his family and adorable dog. This move never gets old, we laugh our butts off every year.
If you have any children (of all ages) in your home, you have to watch Dr. Seuss’s How The Grinch Stole Christmas that was $24.95 and is now only $14.96 for the bilingual deluxe edition. This has been a must-see as far back as I can remember, and now my grandchildren are also enjoying it.
You can’t forget the hilarious Home Alone collection that was $25.99 and is on sale for $10.49. These movies are great, but hard to imagine, losing your child more than once. I’m not sure if my favorite is the first or second movie, although I do love the bumbling idiot bad guys when they fall into all the traps set by a child. I especially like the part when the bad guys gets hit in the head with a brick (4 times).
