I've just seen on the new Sears Canada website that it is customer appreciation day today, Wednesday the 4th of November 2009. They have a special offer for the online shoppers…

If you make an online purchase of $200 or more @ Sears Canada, they will send you a free e-cash card worth $30!

So you make your purchase today, and then you will receive the e-cash card on the 30th of November 2009. You can then use it towards your next purchase. As far as I can see from the terms and conditions, the $30 cash card won't have a minimum spend, it can just be used as cash, as the name suggests. Not too shabby!

Dealing with Sears customer services is frustrating to say the least. When I called customer services about a month delay in fixing a new dishwasher they simply said there is "nothing we can do". When I sent an e-mail, I received a reply that they would reply"within 24 hours". That was 30 hours ago and no reply. I can only imagine that their "customer appreciation" is just another example of things gone wrong.
