This lawn mower mulches, bags, or side discharges clippings. I like the idea of mulching, that way you can use your grass clippings to help your freshly clipped grass grow. A lot of people bag their grass clippings, and I know that makes for a nicer looking lawn, but this really is not a beauty contest! At least use the grass clippings for compost or something rather than bagging and sending to the garbage.
It is hard to price compare this lawn mower because it is Sears' own brand. However, I looked at another brand that had a 21" unit with a similarly powered engine to check out the price. This Ariens 190cc 21" lawn mowerat Home Depot sells for $379. As both lawn mowers had nearly the exact same starting price, I think the Craftsman deal is pretty good because it is now $130 off that price.
