For those of you who live out West or near a Safeway store, there’s a great printable coupon this week that can potentially save you a lot of money at Canadian Tire. Basically, the printable coupon enables you to buy a $50 Canadian Tire Gift card for only $45, in-store @ Safeway.
The coupon is towards the bottom of the page… you can print it out on its own, or you can choose to print out all the rest of the coupons on the page too. There are a few others for various discounts on groceries… but the Canadian Tire deal is the hottest on the page.
Some thoughts on multiple redemptions
The printable coupon states “one coupon per transaction.” I am taking it to mean that if you want to, you can purchase multiple $50 Canadian Tire vouchers, you’d just have to put them through in individual transactions. If you want to do this all in one visit, it might be worth asking the cashier. Otherwise, just go back on a few visits to redeem a few coupons. It also states that the coupon is valid at participating Safeway stores only, so you may need to ask the cashier before you buy.
Canadian Tire Gasbar
So... say you stock up on some of the above Canadian Tire gift cards – did you know that you can use them at the gas bar for buying gas? This actually means you can score a really great price on your gas, so I’d consider buying many gift cards and then using them in the future for your gas purchases. You'd also get Canadian Tire money back on your purchases too.
Safeway is not in all provinces so this deal won’t be good for everyone. E.g. I don’t believe they are in Ontario.
