Dell Canada's 12 Days of Deals begin today with sales on laptops, desktops, monitors, televisions, and electronics. Each set of deals lasts for 24 hours (5AM ET to 5AM ET). To get the best selection, always shop this sale early in the morning.

Here you can pick up a desktop computer, the Inspiron 3000 Small Desktop, for as low as $269.99 (was $299.99). This is a compact little desktop computer that gives you all the basics you need for computing with a 500GB hard drive, 4GB of memory and an Intel Celeron Processor (Dual Core). It should handle Facebook, Twitter, Word, and Excel programs just fine.
The electronics section has many more deals that are promising. Download a copy of McAfee Total Protection 1 PC 2014 for just $5, originally $59.99. I cannot say I have been entirely pleased with McAfee myself, but my computer has never had a virus *knock on wood* so it has been effective.
If you absolutely must have a mouse on the cheap, pick up a Logitech Optical Mouse for just $9.99. It is 33% off the regular price of $14.99. This is a corded mouse, so if you can spring an extra $5 I would recommend the Bestbuy wireless mouse deal that I mentioned yesterday.
If you are purchasing a desktop computer like the one above, then you will need a good monitor to go with it. Most desktops are bundled with a mouse and a keyboard so the only thing missing is a way to view all the content you will want to enjoy. The Dell 23 Monitor - S2340L is a beautiful full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 max) screen in a 16:9 widescreen format. The monitor regularly retails for $219.99, but is now on sale for $139.99. If this monitor is a bit too pricy still, you might be able to find a cheaper monitor during the 12 Days of Deals. However, if you combine the price of the desktop and the monitor, you are only spending $410 for an entire desktop computer – not bad.
