While this television is a refurbished model, it still comes with a three-month warranty to ensure that you do not have a lemon. However, all the kinks should be worked out already as it has been refurbished.
This television has a 48" LED screen with 1080p resolution: that is FULL HD (not 720p). The Haier television has a 60Hz refresh rate with a 5ms response time. On the television, expect three HDMI ports, one USB port, and a PC input as well. The television is also MHL enabled to connect to compatible smart devices as well as the Roku Streaming Stick. I am not familiar with MHL technology, but it sounds like it should come standard on every television out there.
Now, I price compared this television. This is an older model, thus it was out of stock most places I looked. I found the non-refurbished Haier 48D3500 48" LED HDTV for $549.99 at Sears Canada and for $428.99 at Shop.ca (both out of stock). Of course, we want to compare apples to apples. According to one reviewer, this television tends to have a quite sound. For busy households with lots of children, a furnace, fans, and pets; this may not be the best television. However, for your average household it should be just fine. If you do fine the sound a bit low for your liking, try hooking up an external speaker or soundbar.
