HP Days are here! Instant Rebates up to $450 + Other Savings on PC's and More @ HP Canada

HP Days Instant Rebates up to $450

Well, HP Days are here and of course just in time for back to school!

Do you remember your first PC? Mine was an HP desktop. It lasted so long I only got a new one just to keep up with the times. And let me tell you, Windows 3.1 would not have panned out in today's times, nor would the 500 MB hard drive. The entire hard drive held less data than a CD-Rom blank disc. (We didn't have DVD-Roms then, either.) Those were the days when games ran directly off of the CD-Rom. The computer was $2,500 in 1991.

  • With up to $450 in instant rebates on HP Notebooks, and up to $250 in instant rebates on Desktop PC's. Find anything to perfectly suit your needs during the HP Days sale, with whatever form factor you're looking for! The rebates will automatically be applied in your cart.
  • Another great offer is this: Save $75 off select regularly-priced HP Notebooks for Home that are priced at $699 and up, when you use promo code HPDYSNB75 during checkout. This offer excludes bundles. My rule of thumb is to punch in the code anyway, just to be sure you're not missing out on a super good deal.

In the case of the laptop below, this promotional code doesn't qualify. It has it's own built-in savings, though!

I don't think there's much point in working with a laptop that isn't speedy so the one that I'm interested in that I think is suitable for so many students is this HP Envy 15-as010ca laptop.

It's on sale for $1000 down from $1160. You're saving $160 which is always helpful for a student. Or for anyone for that matter! It's a savings of almost 15% off and you get a free wireless mouse in this bundle package as well.

Here are the specs. on this touch screen laptop:

  • Windows 10 Home 64
  • Intel® Core™ i5-6200U (2.3 GHz, up to 2.8 GHz, 3 MB cache, 2 cores)
  • 15.6" diagonal FHD IPS UWVA WLED-backlit multitouch-enabled edge-to-edge glass (1920 x 1080)
  • 8 GB DDR4-1866 SDRAM (1 x 8 GB)
  • 1 TB 5400 rpm SATA

The one thing it is lacking is an SSD drive for faster startups but really, with an i5 6th gen processor, once it boots it will be fast enough for any school or home pc related usage, except for gaming. The video card in this one is an Intel® HD Graphics 520 (up to 4.07 GB), Yes, you can play some games at lower settings; you'll want to play around with in-game settings.

Just a heads up here, there is no optical drive with this model as seems to be the norm now. Currently HP is out of stock of their fabulous external USB CD-Rom/DVD-Rom drives. I would keep checking back from time to time, to see when they re-stock this product. It retails for around $55 and is well worth it for the times you need to 'insert a disc!'

With 8GB of RAM you shouldn't need to upgrade RAM that is definitely enough RAM for most user's needs.

It weighs 4.28 lbs, which is lightweight enough to take everywhere with you. The touch screen factor can be an excellent feature as well. The screen has a high enough resolution (1920 x 1080) for sharp viewing of your work or leisure activities such as movies.

Shipping is always free at HP and they offer a true peace of mind guarantee:

As a valued customer, HP wants you to feel secure in the knowledge that your online purchase is protected. If you are not 100% satisfied, you can simply return the product within 30 days of the purchase date for a full refund. Some conditions apply.

If Canada Post mail service is disrupted, HP will have other procedures (couriers) in place to get your new computer to you!
