The Toronto Zoo has an amazing deal on right now. Kids 12 and under will get in free to the Toronto Zoo on weekends and school holidays. Kids over two normally cost $18 each to get in, so if you have many kids, this is a substantial savings.
I despise going to the zoo in the summer. The animals are always asleep, there are too many people and all of the walking gets tiring and hot in the humid weather. We always go in the spring, but had I known there was a deal like this, I would have postponed our yearly zoo trip until the fall.
The children, of course, must be accompanied by an adult, and admission for adults is $28 (seniors are $23). I would tell Dad to take the kids for a day trip and let Mom rest at home, so you pay $28 total for your entire day. Bring your lunch because food can be pricey at the zoo, plus many of the restaurants are not open in the off season. I’m not sure if you know what its like to walk half way across Africa and realize there is no food. True story.
