Fantastic ultrabook. Fantastic price. Stupid name for a sale. It’s Black Friday II.
The laptop was $619.99 but with the $220 discount, you only pay $599.99. This laptop is a great mid-range ultrabook, sporting a 3rd Gen Core i5 processor at 1.7GHz, 6GB DDR3 RAM, 750GB HDD, 24GB SSD and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce 610M Video Card. A very respectable system for only $600.
Another thing this computer has that some people might not like, is Windows 8. I recently got a computer with Windows 8 and I was not looking forward to it. I actually had my Windows 7 disk ready to go when I got the laptop. But I turned it on just to give Windows 8 a try. After all, I am a big nerd and as such I should know all the technology I can. So I poked around a bit and, much to my surprise, I really like Windows 8. Go figure, eh? I think the reason I like it is because I am no longer practicing at being 133t. I’ve become boring in my old age. Soft and doughy. Now I play Angry Birds and look at “eCards” on Facebook. I don’t need much else than that so the Windows 8 interface works fine for me. If you are “the 133t HaxXxorZ” then you might not be a fan of the new interface but if you are truly 133t, you’ll find a way around it.
This sale is part of the painfully named Black Friday II sale. If you’re interested, here is the link to get the other deals. There are some great items here.
