I am always on the lookout for some fun free family events around our city to take the kids to. Home Depot has a great family event one Saturday a month that is worth checking out. Head into your local Home Depot for a free kids workshop for one Saturday each month and join in on the fun.
These free kids workshops are held on the second Saturday of every month making the next one on March 8th 2014. They are absolutely free and are for both boys and girls typically aged 4-12 years old. All children must be accompanied by an adult and there is no need to bring anything to them as everything needed will be supplied for you.
These workshops do have a lot of spots but they can fill up quickly. The best thing to do is actually register for free online to reserve your spot.
At these workshops, kids will be building a variety of things that make great Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and birthday gifts. Or, they can just decided they like what they built too much and keep it for themselves! It helps build problem solving skills, helps with fine motor skills, and build confidence. This is a great free activity for all kids.
