Zinio Canada: 2-Yr Magazine Subscription For The Price Of 1-Yr (Cosmopolitan, O, PC World & More!)

Posted by on February 3, 2015 at 3:00 PM

Zinio Canada: 2 Yr Magazine Subscription For The Price Of 1 Yr (Cosmopolitan, O, PC World & More!)

Here’s a Valentine’s Day gift idea that keep on giving: get a 2-year subscription to select magazines at Zinio for the price of 1 year!

With a total of 78 different magazines to choose from, here are just some of the ones that stood out to me:

  • Cosmopolitan
  • Harper’s Bazaar
  • Food Network Magazine
  • Macworld
  • O: The Oprah Magazine
  • Good Housekeeping
  • Elle
  • Photography Week
  • Women’s Health
  • Cooking Light
  • Men’s Health
  • Parenting

There are also a couple of travel, geeky, commercial, home and other magazines that I would say are more niche-specific. For instance, Scootering is in there, covering all things related to scooters but this one definitely wouldn’t apply to everyone.

Prices vary per magazine but to give you an idea, Cosmopolitan is $22.92 for a two-year subscription with 26 issues, which comes down to just $0.88 per issue. These are digital copies, of course, but considering a print edition of this popular magazine typically runs for close to $6, then paying less a dollar is definitely a steal of a deal.

If you are unfamiliar with how to read the magazines, it’s super easy. You can either browse the magazine from an iOS or Android device (this includes both smart phones and tablets) or you can use the desktop reader to view it from the comfort of your desktop or laptop.

This is definitely a great Valentine’s Day gift idea, especially since the subscription will be good for two years and your loved one won’t have to worry about resubscribing for a while. Plus, there are plenty of diverse magazines to choose from to cater to most interests.

Another magazine that I didn’t mention above but that could be an interesting choice is Geek. It covers a wide array of trending topics pertaining to lifestyle, film, music, comic books and more. To give you an idea, the current May-June 2015 cover is that of Guardians of the Galaxy. It’s priced at $16.29 for 12 issues.

There is absolutely no mention as to when this promotion might expire, so if I were you, I wouldn’t wait to take advantage of it if there is a magazine that you particularly want to subscribe to.

Zinio Canada: 5 Issues Of Amateur Photographer For $7.45

Zinio Canada: 5 Issues Of Amateur Photographer For $7.45

Amateur Photographer is a specialist magazine containing photography news, events, tips & techniques, darkroom advice, equipment tests, and more. And just now, there’s a special offer on a digital subscription, via the magazine service, Zinio.com. You can subscribe to five issues of this magazine for only $7.45 – that’s $1.49 per issue.

If you are buying one issue alone through Zinio, the cover price is $5.95, so $7.45 for 5 issues is really excellent. It’s hard for me to properly price compare this deal as I am not out at the store looking at a newsstand right now. But I had a look online and I can see that on the iTunes app store, each issue of this magazine would be $2.99 to buy, standalone. And Margarita found a site online showing that the magazine is £3.75 in the UK to buy in-store, which translates to about $6.80 per issue!

If you’re not sure what the technical specification of your device needs to be, or what devices you can use Zinio on, please have a read of their help pages. We want to make sure that you don’t buy something you cannot use. But you should be able to use this Zinio subscription on various iPads and Android tablets.

If anyone got a new digital SLR camera for Christmas, this magazine would be a great read. I got my first DSLR about 3 years ago, for a Christmas gift. I will admit that I did not know much about photography at all… basically I just pointed and clicked. Shortly after, I subscribed to a photography magazine… it wasn’t Amateur Photographer, but I cannot remember exactly which one it was.

Anyway, I found that much of the magazine’s content was quite technical and a little out of my potentiality. But, I did find that the magazine taught me quite a lot of basic photography principles which I still use to this very day. For example: the rule of thirds. I hadn’t heard of that before. When composing a photograph (particularly in landscape photography), it’s a guideline about breaking up your photo with the horizon, so your landscape shows in thirds. I’ve used this rule many times in taking excellent landscape shots.

I’ve picked up many more tips from the subscription that I had… I recommend you do the same. Zinio Canada: 5 Issues Of Amateur Photographer For $7.45

Zinio.com: STAR Electronic Magazine Subscription 25% off!

Posted by on August 6, 2014 at 11:30 AM

Zinio.com: STAR Electronic Magazine Subscription 25% off!

Is there anything better than curling up under a tree, watching the kids play, with a nice magazine?  How about if you don’t even have to carry a magazine around, and can access it on your favourite electronic device?  Here’s a deal to help you kick back and relax: Get STAR magazine at 25% off as part of Zinio.com’s sale of over 150 titles at up to 50% off!

Is there anything better than a weekly dose of celebrity gossip?  It is the perfect diversion for me while the kids are running around the yard or the park.  I find magazines really nice because as much as I love a good book, they are hard to put down and pick up over and over.  Magazines offer such short articles that I can drop it in an instant to join the kids in the sandbox and pick it up no problem again afterwards.  I really enjoy the world of electronic magazines, meaning I don’t actually have to remember to bring the magazine with me while I’m rushing out of the house.  Just download the free app on your Apple, Android, or WIN8 device and you’re ready to read.  Another HUGE benefit for me is that there is no physical magazine to discard when I’m done reading.  I tend to be a bit of a magazine hoarder and that gets out of control pretty quickly.  Thank goodness to Zinio for saving me from myself.

STAR was my top pick from this sale because it comes weekly meaning I am less likely to run out of reading material, and covers all aspects of entertainment.  Zinio is currently offering 52 issues of STAR for $16.40 (reg. $21.87), which works out to only $0.32 per issue!  That is a totally unbeatable price.

Just for comparison’s sake, to get a paper copy of this magazine delivered to you through onestopsubscriptions.com you’re looking at $90.49 for the year.  Subscribing directly through Starmagazine.com will cost you $34.84.

Zinio offers continuous service so you will never miss an issue, and will be notified and billed automatically at the end of your subscription, although you can cancel the continuous service at any time.

Some other great titles available at up to 50% off from Zinio right now are OK! Magazine, O, The Oprah Magazine, and Cosmopolitan.

This deal is on until the end of the month.  Happy reading!

Last Minute Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Posted by on June 13, 2014 at 4:00 PM

Last Minute Fathers Day Gift Ideas

Even though Father’s Day is on Sunday, you do still have time to shop online for Dad. We’ve got a number of great ideas for you, so take a look.

My first and favourite idea as a gift for anyone is always WaySpa gift vouchers. Everyone can use some pampering every now and then, especially a parent, and if you were a teenager like I was, your Dad deserves it! Take a look at our exclusive coupon code that will get you 22% off any voucher, starting from $25, so you can choose what you spend. Dad can choose from a massage, a pedicure and a bunch of other treatments he would be sure to love.

My Dad or my husband would love a magazine subscription, which for me, would be the gift that keeps on giving. There are a number of men’s magazines on sale right now at Zinio with up to 50% off, including Maxim, Men’s Fitness, Automobile and more.

If you live in the Toronto area, how much would Dad love this WagJag for an exotic car experience from Toronto Motorsports? A $249 value for only $109, you know he deserves it!

Chapters Indigo now offers electronic gift cards, so give Dad the gift of reading and let him choose what book he’d love to read, rather than you hoping for the best and failing. Don’t let Dad down, c’mon!

Sending Dad on a vacation wouldn’t be all that extravagant (don’t forget that night you dented the bumper on his prize car), and if he always wanted to go to Dublin like my Dad, he can go from as low as $759 from Travel Zoo.

Take Dad out for a nice meal at East Side Mario’s and save $10 off your $30 purchase this weekend with this printable coupon.

So, Bargainmoosers, what are you going to get Dad this Father’s Day? Remember what your sister surprised him with last year? You’ll want to top that one for sure!

There’s a large selection of magazines to choose from such as Esquire, Rolling Stone, Cleaning Eating, Cosmopolitan, and many more. Zinio Canada: 2 Years For the Price of 1 On Bestselling Magazines

Zinio Canada: 2 Years For the Price of 1 On Bestselling Magazines

If your Mom likes to read, a super Mother’s Day gift for her would be a new magazine subscription. Get two years of some top magazines for the price of one year. Also, Zinio is offering $5 magazine subscriptions just for moms.

One of my favourite indulgences is sitting on my porch and reading a magazine from cover to cover. I love getting magazines right into my mailbox and get giddy on the days they come. I have a number of subscriptions, but there are more that I’d love to get. I love that I can get two years for the price of one as it saves me the trouble of renewing next year.

Saveur is one of my most favourite magazines with delicious recipes and stories of food from all around the world. Reading this magazine my mouth actually salivates and makes me want to cook or travel. It is so well-written too that it makes me wish I was a food writer. You’ll get two years (18 issues) for only $22.10, which is pretty amazing as the newsstand price is about $6 an issue.

If you are looking for some great ideas for mom and don’t have a lot to spend, how about spending $5.53 for 10 issues of More, which is a magazine for women 40+. I actually get this magazine even though I’m in my 30s and I find it very informative. 12 issues of Today’s Parent for $5.53 is also quite the steal! This Canadian magazine has all the information you need to be a Canadian parent including advice, craft ideas and uniquely Canadian events.

Shipping is always included in your subscription price.

Zinio Canada Coupon Code: 40% Off Any Magazine Subscription

Get 40% off any magazine subscription at Zinio with promo code for only 48 hours!

  • Coupon Code: NOFOOLING
  • Discount: 40% off
  • Expiry: 2nd April 2014

Zinio has a wide selection of magazines available, so there really is something for everyone. I used to get about 10 subscriptions a month, but was finding no time to read them all, so I basically didn’t renew any of my subscriptions. Now, I have nothing to read and I really would love a new subscription to something. There is just something about sitting back on the couch and devouring a magazine from cover to cover. That is probably one of my favourite me time activities.

This offer can’t be used with PayPal orders or combined with any other offer either. One frustrating aspect about this site is that you can’t see how much your actual subscription will be until you’ve entered in your credit card information. That is very off-putting for me.

One magazine I’d love to start getting is Shape magazine. I love reading the articles about weight loss and discovering new exercises. It is $19.87 for 12 issues, but with the promo code, it would be $11.92.

I absolutely love Clean Eating magazine and I’m actually following their meal plan right now, which is great because it gives you simple ideas for snacks and you want to follow it simply because it is so easy. It is normally $27.63 for 8 issues, but you’ll pay only $16.58! That’s only $2 an issue. I usually buy in-store because I haven’t gotten around to getting a subscription and pay about $7 an issue I think.

Shipping is included. Don’t forget to check out Zinio in the Bargainmoose forum and find more coupons as they pop up.

Zinio Canada: 2 Yr Magazine Subscription For The Price Of 1

Don’t miss your chance to get a 2 year subscription to select popular magazines at Zinio for the price of just one year!

Honesty is the best policy, right? When it comes to books, magazines and reading in general, I much prefer doing so in paper format. Whether it’s the smell of the books or the feel of flipping those plastic-like magazine pages, there is just something about it that I love. But this is the year 2014 and in this day and age, everything has become digitized and rightfully so too.

With this being said, when I’m on the go, then my eReader comes with me everywhere I go. It’s just so much easier than trying to bring a million and one books in my already overstuffed purse but when it comes to magazines, then I like to use my iPhone to catch up on the latest scoop, discover new recipes and get new romance ideas with the help of Zinio’s app.

With an ever expanding library of magazines, their newsstand, as they call it, features plenty of the most popular magazine and in fact, with the 2-for-1 special, here are just some of the ones that you can use this promotion on:

And those are all the ones that I would personally like to subscribe to as well! What about you? Which ones are your top picks?

Zinio Canada Coupon: 30% Off All Subscriptions

Posted by on February 22, 2014 at 7:30 PM

Zinio Canada Coupon: 30% Off All SubscriptionsAlready as it is, I bet that most of you read books on eReaders but why not magazines as well? Subscribe to just about any magazine digitally with Zinio and during a couple of days only, you can save 30% off with the code below!

Click here to digitally subscribe to a magazine @ Zinio.com now

  • Coupon Code: Get30off
  • Discount: 30% off
  • Expiry: 28th February 2014

The great part about Zinio is that you can read all your favorite magazines on just about any device, whether a: smart phone, tablet, laptop or even desktop computer. Plus, it’s also available for both iOS, Android and Windows platforms. While I have to admit that I haven’t fully subscribed to any magazines yet, I have, however, tried one out for free on my iPhone and it was pretty great. The system is intuitive and you can easily swipe between pages.

For those of you who face long commutes every day to and from work or school, this is also a much better alternative to carrying all the magazines you have subscribed to in physical form. Same goes for if you’re travelling or anything else. I’m one who enjoys reading actual paper formats of books and magazines but would much prefer to bring my tablet or eReader if I’m on the go.

Zinio’s selection of digital magazines is also pretty impressive with all of the most popular ones available (i.e. National Geographic, GQ, Esquire, Cosmopolitan, Men’s Health etc.) along with lesser known ones (i.e. T3, Peppermint, Crave etc.)

Although discounts off their entire selection of magazines aren’t made available frequently, you can find and share all Zinio coupons on our forums.

Zinio: 5 Issues For $5

Zinio: 5 Issues For $5

Get five issues of your favourite magazine (or try a new one) for only $5.57 ($5 U.S.) at Zinio.

The selection for this deal is quite limited, but I was able to get a magazine that I love for only $5, which is just $1 an issue. You can order all of the magazines in the selection list, if you like, for $5 for five issues.

I got the Food Network magazine because I love to cook, am somewhat addicted to the Food Network and am a little obsessed with food magazines.

Other choices include:

  • Car & Driver
  • Cosmopolitan
  • Country Living
  • Elle
  • Elle Decor
  • Esquire
  • Good Housekeeping
  • Bazaar
  • HGTV magazine – maybe I’ll order this one too
  • House Beautiful
  • Marie Claire
  • Oprah – I already got this one through a Wag Jag recently or it would have been my #1 choice
  • Popular Mechanics
  • Redbook
  • Road & Track
  • Seventeen
  • Town & Country
  • Woman’s Day

As you can see, there is a great selection of magazines, although no Canadian ones. This deal is great if you are thinking of trying out a magazine and want to see what it is like before getting a full subscription. The cost of this deal is probably the same price as you’d pay for one magazine on the newstand so you really can’t lose.

The shipping costs are built right on so the only additional costs are taxes.

Zinio Canada: Up to 50% off Holiday Digital Magazine Sale

Zinio Magazines is offering up to 50% off digital magazine subscriptions during their Holiday Best Annual Sale.

Digital magazine subscriptions are all the rage right now and I can understand why. Stick the application on your tablet, computer, or phone and they are with you wherever you go.

National Geographic Interactive is now 25% off so you can get twelve issues for only $15.92. I love the entire BBC nature series and have long been considering getting the National Geographic. My Dad probably has boxes of them still in his basement from when he was younger – I use to look at the pictures when I was a kid!

Nylon Magazine is only $5.29 for ten issues! That is 50% off the regular subscription price. Of course you are saving huge amounts off the individual issue price (which for Nylon is $4.24). I like the look of this magazine as it is young, fresh, and combines fashion, music, cosmetics, and more.

Star magazine is also on sale for 50% off. You can get a whopping 52 issues for just $18.50. Just think, individually these magazines cost $2.12. That is over $100 worth of magazines for less than $20. Huge deal!

Something that everyone, and I mean everyone, needs is underwear. If personalized and custom gifts are your thing, check out Vistaprint, which has a wide range of customizable gifts for friends, family, co-workers and employees. We have a coupon right now for up to $100 off your order.

Of course, the gift I think is the most perfect is WaySpa gift cards, which are printable, so you can get them even on Christmas Day for those last minute gifts. Check out the Bargainmoose forum for coupons for up to 22% off those gift cards.

There are a number of great deals at XSCargo, and Christmas is no exception. Everything from loom bands to blenders to tablets are on sale.

Zinio Canadian Freebie: 1 Year Subscription To Shape Magazine

Zinio Canadian Freebie: 1 Year Subscription To Shape Magazine

We love freebies! Who doesn’t? Right now, you can get this sweet one year (twelve issues) digital subscription to Shape Magazine for free! One whole year of tips on how to trim up, stay in shape, eat better, and live a healthier life!

No credit card info is required – just enter your name, email address, and physical address, and check that little box at the bottom saying you want to subscribe.

Now, a lot of girls and guys are magazine readers. Except for an occasional gander at National Geographic or Mac Life, I am generally not one of those. However, I also know how hard it is to get in shape without a personal trainer or a basement full of gym equipment. So, Shape Magazine could be a really good resource on tips, tricks, and hints on how to get fit faster and easier. Little things we have never even thought of, like squeeze half a lemon into warm water and drink that each morning, a tip I recently learned, but have been horrible at keeping up.

Best of all, it is free. Absolutely, totally, twelve months of free.

Zinio Canada: 50% Off Canadian Magazine Subscriptions

Posted by on July 12, 2013 at 6:30 PM

Zinio Canada: 50% Off Canadian Magazine Subscriptions

Zinio is having a deal on select Canadian magazine subscriptions, now at 50% off.

As you well know, I love magazines. I’m always looking for the latest and greatest ones to read, but they have to be at good prices. Because I subscribe to so many, I can’t afford to pay over $50 a year for just one subscription. I also support Canadian magazines first, especially because I know the products shown in the magazines will be available in Canada.

I price compared all of the available subscriptions to Rogers, which is where I get the majority of my Canadian magazines. Rogers offers magazines at a monthly rate, which is added on to your current Rogers bill, so it is also very convenient. I’m going to assume you can pay for it in other ways. Some Zinio deals were much better deals, some, not so much.

Zinio is offering Style At Home, which is an amazing resource for decorating your home and finding out all the new trends in home decor. Zinio has it for $23.95, and Rogers price is comparable. Canadian Living is $23.98, but Rogers is quite a bit cheaper for this magazine.

Where you’ll save is on Elle Canada, which is only $12 for the year, compared to Rogers, which is $1.25 a month, and on Hockey News, which Zinio offers for $39.99 a year for 30 issues, and Rogers offers for $56.04 a year.

Shipping is included in these prices.
