Game Access Canada: The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct For The Xbox 360 (Used) | Was $50 Now $8 (EXPIRED)

Game Access Canada: The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct For The Xbox 360 (Used) | Was $50 Now $8 (EXPIRED)

Good morning! Today’s deal at Game Access Canada is an enticing one for Walking Dead fans and Xbox 360 owners – you can now get a used copy of The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct for the Xbox 360 for just $7.72 (plus $3 shipping). You can’t go wrong for that price, especially when the game normally retails for $49.99!

If you’ve ever wanted to dive into a virtual Walking Dead world, then this is your chance. The publisher behind The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct is Activision, who is behind the original Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games for the PS1 and N64 (remember how awesome they were before they released like 20 versions of the game, people). Activision has actually been around since the Atari 2600 was released, and is also known for their runaway hit, Pitfall!

This would be a great gift for Walking Dead fans. Even if the game may not be the best in the world, it’s always fun for fans to enjoy a video game based on movies or TV shows that they enjoy (unless it’s Beetlejuice for the original Nintendo… that game was just brutally hard). With a plot involving zombies, what could be more fun?

If you were to purchase The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct for the Xbox 360 at Amazon, it would cost you $28.19. I’ve included a snippet of a review of this Walking Dead game that was posted on Metacritic below:

The first person combat is fun, the storytelling is decent at best and the game has a somewhat unique art style to it. Visually it isn’t really all that impressive but it captures the atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic, zombie ridden world quite well and, well it has that ”Walking Dead” feel overall. All in all it’s a great package.

If you love The Walking Dead, then you should consider checking out this game. Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

Game Access Canada: Thief For The Xbox One (Used) | Was $50 Now $20 (EXPIRED)

Game Access Canada: Thief For The Xbox One (Used) | Was $50 Now $20 (EXPIRED)

Hey there, Bargainmoosers! Xbox One owners may find today’s deal particularly enticing – you can order a used copy of Thief for the Xbox One from Game Access for just $19.72 (plus $3 shipping). The regular price of this game is $49.99, and it’s currently on sale at Best Buy and Future Shop for $39.99.

Thief for the Xbox One is a game created by Eidos and Square Enix. It has some mixed reviews online, but I usually tend to take movie and video game based reviews with a grain of salt. After all, the experience that you have with a movie or a video game will typically be different from others. That’s why it’s great that we’re all different – if we all thought the same way about certain things, then planet Earth would be one boring place!

Personally, I know of plenty movies and games that I love that my friends don’t particularly like. For example, the game The Adventures Of Bayou Billy is one of my favourite classic Nintendo games, but most reviewers don’t think very highly of this game. Maybe it’s due to nostalgia, but I still think the game had some awesome graphics and music for its time. Thief for the Xbox One may have some detractors, but there are still people out there who enjoy the game.

I’ve included a brief review of Thief for the Xbox One from a satisfied Best Buy customer:

It is a great game, but it’s not for everyone, more of a niché thing. If you are buying this game, you know what you want and you will not be disappointed.

If you want to check out this game for the Xbox One, all you have to do is take advantage of this deal from Game Access! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Best Buy Canada: Ryse Son Of Rome For The Xbox One | Was $50 Now $30 (EXPIRED)

Best Buy Canada: Ryse Son Of Rome For The Xbox One | Was $50 Now $30 (EXPIRED)

Oh hey there, my fellow deal hunters! Best Buy is currently having a sale on an intriguing Xbox One title today, and you’ll be able to save $20 from the regular price of this video game. You can now get Ryse: Son Of Rome for the Xbox One for just $29.99 – the regular price of this game is $49.99. You’ll also qualify for free shipping!

Ryse: Son Of Rome for the Xbox One is a game with an enticing theme. In this Xbox One game, you get to fight for the glory of the Roman Empire – just lead your army in battle and let the chaos ensue!

When I was a young lad, I remember watching plenty of movies that were about the Roman Empire, since my dad would always be watching them. There were many great classic movies that made me crave for a video game that would allow you to fight with or against the Romans – it just seemed like it would be a lot of fun!

Unfortunately, I didn’t know too many games with that type of theme at the time (besides Warriors Of Rome for the Sega Genesis, but I didn’t even know that existed until earlier this year). Alas, I was happy to play Trojan for the original Nintendo, since you battled some post-apocalyptic Romans near the end of the game (it had a Mad Max-like plot).

If you were to purchase Ryse: Son Of Rome at Buy Electronics Canada, it would cost you $59.99, and it’s currently $49.99 at the Microsoft Store. I’ve included a snippet of a review of this game that’s listed on the Metacritic website below:

I literally can’t wait to get home everyday and play Ryse. I just can’t get it off my mind. It has Unbelievanly addictive multiplayer, stunning graphics, and visuals. And dont even get me started on the campaign. It is the next thing since the last of us that actually touched my heart.

This deal expires tonight, so take advantage of this deal while you still can! I hope you’re all enjoying your Thursday, Bargainmoosers!

Game Access Canada: Titanfall For The Xbox One (Used) | Was $50 Now $20

Posted by on October 15, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Game Access Canada: Titanfall For The Xbox One (Used) | Was $50 Now $20

Good morning, my fellow deal hunters! Today’s deal at Game Access will certainly get some love from Xbox One owners – it’s for a used copy of Titanfall! Normally retailing for $49.99, you can now get this game for just $19.72 (plus $3 shipping). This game was released with plenty of hype earlier this year, and gets rave reviews from both critics and gamers. It even has a total score of 86 on Metacritic, which is no easy task!

This innovative shooter for the Xbox One system is a popular one. Originally released in March, it came about with a great amount of hype – and it lived up to it all! I’ve even seen some people wearing Titanfall t-shirts in public – the only other video game related apparel I usually see people wear are Nintendo brands (Mario and Zelda, mostly), so this just shows how beloved Titanfall is.

I’ve yet to try out this game, but I hope to do so sometime soon! Reviewers are saying some great things about Titanfall for the Xbox One, and I hope to try it out in the near future.

This game currently costs $49.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop. I’ve included a snippet of a review for the Xbox One version of Titanfall from X One Magazine below:

Titanfall is a ridiculous amount of fun. Maybe it’ll be surpassed, but right now it’s the best game on Xbox One and one of the best multiplayer shooters ever.

Vandal Online also had some great things to say about this highly praised Xbox One game:

We feel like this is next-gen gameplay. Titanfall proves that there’s still room for innovation in shooting games, and we’ve had a blast playing it. It could have had next-gen visuals, though, and then it would have been the bomb.

Due to the popularity of this game, it may not be in stock for very long, so take advantage of this deal while it’s still available! I hope you all enjoy your day today, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

Game Access Canada: Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 For The Xbox 360 (Used) | Was $30 Now $8 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on October 13, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Game Access Canada: Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 3 For The Xbox 360 (Used) | Was $30 Now $8 (EXPIRED)

Looking for another Call Of Duty game to sink your teeth into? Today’s deal of the day at Game Access is for a used copy of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for the Xbox 360, which you can purchase for $7.72 (plus $3 shipping). The regular price of Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for the Xbox 360 is $29.99, so this is a pretty sweet deal! Just click on the link below to learn more about this deal.

Online multiplayer is one of the most popular features in Call Of Duty games. These games are incredibly popular nowadays, and they had their roots on the PC and eventually ended up on consoles like the Playstation 2, Xbox, and Gamecube systems more than a decade ago. It’s crazy to think that there are currently 13 instalments in this familiar series of video games.

Finding an affordable Xbox 360 game isn’t too hard to do nowadays, especially when many retail locations are having some great sales on them on a regular basis. After all, the newer generation consoles like the PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Wii U are getting most of the glory nowadays, but gamers still love their PS3 and Xbox 360 systems – especially since the PS4 and Xbox One currently aren’t backwards compatible and won’t play these older games (the Wii U plays original Wii games, thankfully).

This is a pretty great deal! You just can’t go wrong for $7.72 (plus $3 shipping). If you were to purchase Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 for the Xbox 360 at Best Buy or Future Shop, it would cost you $29.99. I’ve included a snippet of a review of this game from a satisfied Best Buy customer below:

I could never put this game down. The campaign was amazing and the special ops gave you something to do once the campaign finished. Special ops has waves of troops in each map with different difficulties and extra side missions. Multiplayer offers you even more as you rank up, giving you prestige modes.

I hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving Monday, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

Game Access Canada: Titanfall For The Xbox One (Used) | Was $50 Now $25 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on September 29, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Game Access Canada: Titanfall For The Xbox One (Used) | Was $50 Now $25 (EXPIRED)

When Titanfall first came out earlier this year, it was a highly anticipated and vastly promoted video game for the Xbox One. It’s also gotten many favourable reviews from video game critics, and it has a score of 86 out of 100 on Metacritic. Thanks to Game Access, you can now purchase a used copy of Titanfall for the Xbox One for just $24.72 (plus $3 shipping). The regular price of this game is $49.99, and that’s the price you’d pay for it if you bought it at Future Shop.

Like many popular games that are out there, Titanfall for the Xbox One is a first-person shooter that also has an incredibly fun online multiplayer mode. This game was also made by one of the co-creators of the Call Of Duty franchise, along with some of the developers behind that popular series of games.

I still remember the very first game that I played online when I was in elementary school – Quake. It was on my old Pentium 1 PC (yes, it was running Windows 95), and it was just so addicting! The gameplay was simplistic enough for first-time gamers to pick up and play, yet it also required some decent strategies during these online skirmishes. Nowadays, you can play Titanfall, which is much more sophisticated in comparison, and has some fantastic graphics as well!

Many gamers say that this game is a lot of fun and needs to be experienced at least once. I’ve included some brief reviews of Titanfall for the Xbox One from some satisfied Future Shop customers below:

This game really shows what the next generation can do. Great graphics and gameplay but what really makes this game stand out is how freaking fun it is.

Excellent game, fast paced first person shooter, incredibly fun. A must play game.

This Deal Of The Day at Game Access will expire on September 30th, so today’s the day to take advantage of this deal. Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

WalMart Canada: South Park The Stick Of Truth For Xbox 360 | Was $40 Now $20

Posted by on September 19, 2014 at 7:30 AM

WalMart Canada: South Park The Stick Of Truth For Xbox 360 | Was $40 Now $20

If you’re a fan of South Park, a show that has surprised everyone (including its creators) by sticking around for the past 17 years, then chances are you’ll get a kick out of this video game. South Park The Stick Of Truth is a hilarious RPG – style adventure that features most of the characters from this long running TV series, and it has gotten heaps of praise since it was initially released earlier this year. For a limited time, you can get a chance to snag South Park The Stick Of Truth for a cheap price for the Xbox 360 system – as a part of WalMart’s anniversary sale, you can get this game for just $19.99 - it’s normally $39.99! Plus, you’ll get free shipping!

Role playing games tend to take more time to complete than your average platform game. In South Park The Stick of Truth, you start off the game by creating your own custom character, and you join Cartman in his quest to battle for the almighty Stick Of Truth. Yeah, the plot isn’t very deep, but all of the dialogue is pretty hilarious, and it feels like you’re actually playing through an episode of South Park – the graphics are spot on!

I played the PC version of this game when it was just released earlier this year, and I had a lot of fun with it. I didn’t find it very challenging (you can also change the difficulty level), but that didn’t really matter to me – I just wanted to see how the story unfolded. It was that intriguing. I wanted to see what easter eggs and little surprises that Ubisoft tucked away in this game. For longtime fans of the show, this game is highly recommended for the jokes and references to older episodes alone.

Currently, South Park The Stick Of Truth for the Xbox 360 costs $39.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop. I’ve included a snippet of a review of the game from a satisfied Best Buy customer below:

If you are a fan of the show you’ll love this game. So many references to events in the show all over the game. Only down side for me is that the fart jokes get stale quick, but the rest is great. The actual gameplay is really fun and the graphics are great in that you feel like you are really in the cartoon.

If you’re a South Park fan and you’re looking to laugh during your video gaming experience, you should try out South Park The Stick Of Truth. If you’re not a fan of the show, perhaps you should pass on this one. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Toys R Us Canada: Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag Limited Edition Set PS3 And Xbox 360 Was $130 Now $60

Toys R Us Canada: Assassins Creed IV Black Flag Limited Edition Set PS3 And Xbox 360 Was $130 Now $60

Good morning, my fellow deal hunters! If you’re a fan of Ubisoft’s Assassins Creed game series, you may find this deal particularly alluring! Toys R Us is currently having a clearance sale on the limited edition box version of Assassin’s Creed IV for both the Sony PS3 and the Xbox 360. They normally retail for $129,99, but you can get it now for just $59.98! This order also qualifies for free shipping.

The limited edition Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag box set is a great package for fans of this series. It comes with some interesting goodies, including an 18″ Edward Kenway figurine, an 80 page art book, a pirate flag with crest, a steelbook case, and of course, the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag game.

This game has developed quite a following over the years. I still remember some of my friends raving about its unique gameplay back when the first game in the series was released for the PS3 and Xbox 360. I tried out the second Assassin’s Creed at a friend’s house, and thought it was pretty fun. Definitely a game that appeals to teenagers and young adults.

This limited edition version of Asassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag for both the Xbox 360 and PS3 typically costs $129.99 at Best Buy, and it’s $129.96 at WalMart. Listed below is a snippet of a review for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag from a satisfied Amazon customer:

So what makes this game amazing. Lets start off with the landscape. It’s brilliant and beautiful…Really majestic. You don’t understand the scope of this game until you start playing. The world is surrounded by several small villages and three large cities. The only way to travese this open terrain with a horse. Fortunately they are about as easy to find as a car in todays society.

This is a great set for collectors. Get them while supplies last! I hope you all enjoy your day, Bargainmoosers – happy hunting!

WalMart Canada: Rocksmith 2014 For The Xbox 360 | Was $70 Now $35

WalMart Canada: Rocksmith 2014 For The Xbox 360 | Was $70 Now $35

Tired of Guitar Hero and Rockband? It’s cool – everyone else is, too. However, a revolutionary game out there that allows you to literally plug in an actual electric guitar into your video game system is Rocksmith. For a limited time, you can pick up Rocksmith 2014 for the Xbox 360 for just $34.96 – the regular price is $70. That’s 50% off! Plus, you’ll get free shipping.

Whether you’re a beginner that wants to try and learn how to play an electric guitar, or an expert that wants to jam to dozens of popular tracks, Rocksmith 2014 will keep you satisfied. This version of the game includes the cord that you need to plug in any electric guitar into your Xbox 360 system.

I’ve never tried any Rocksmith games before. It does sound like a fun game, so I hope to try it out sometime soon. I tried to play the guitar on several occasions when I was younger, but I just couldn’t “cut the mustard” (in other words – no one wanted to be around when I was practicing).

Regardless of my mediocre guitar playing abilities, I think this game is very intriguing. At Best Buy and Future Shop, Rocksmith 2014 retails for $74.95. Listed below is a snippet of a review of the game from a satisfied Best Buy customer:

I know it’s generous to give a 5 out of 5 rating, but in my opinion this game deserves it. The thing I really appreciate is the fact that there’s lessons for those who never played guitar, which really teaches you the basics and much more. Aside from that, the gameplay experience is just great and easy to understand.

I highly recommend getting Rocksmith 2014 for the Xbox 360 before it’s out of stock (like the PS3 version of the game). Good luck, Bargainmoosers!

Microsoft Store: Buy Xbox One & Get a Free Game

Posted by on September 5, 2014 at 3:30 PM

Microsoft Store: Buy Xbox One & Get a Free Game

Buy an Xbox One at the Microsoft Store and you’ll get a free game of your choice! You can choose from the console alone or a bundle and both will get you a free game.

When I added the Xbox One console to my cart for $399, it gave me the choice of 16 games, all with a regular price of $69.99 on average (some higher, some lower) or I could get an Xbox Live 12-month gold card for free, worth $59.99.

Taking a look around at prices elsewhere, most places sell the console and/or the bundle for the prices Microsoft is selling for, but none of them are including a free game.

My kids got the Wii U last year, but I’m considering getting them the Xbox One for Christmas this year. Now is the time to shop and get the best deals and not wait until the last minute at Christmas and hope for something really great. I like to be prepared while the weather is still hot and not wait until it is too cold to go outside.

What I like about Xbox One is the kinect feature, so they can actually get some exercise while they play their vids. I think would get them Kinect Sports Rivals as it looks like a super fun game with a lot of action. Getting it free saves me $60!

On the other hand, the gold membership is worth its weight in, well, gold. It gives you so much access to games, movies and more, plus you can get even more deals with it. I love a deal on top of a deal.

Of course buying a bundle gets you the bundle, plus the free game and right now the complete bundle is on sale for $699.95, with a regular price of $749.95. You’ll basically get three games with it instead of two.

Also, you’ll get free shipping, which is a sweet bonus on top of these deals!

(PS4 & Xbox One) Best Buy Canada: WWE 2k15 Hulkamania Edition Pre-Order – Just $70 + Free Shipping!

Posted by on August 10, 2014 at 11:30 PM

(PS4 & Xbox One) Best Buy Canada: WWE 2k15 Hulkamania Edition Pre Order Just $70 + Free Shipping!

Negativity and Hulkamania: two things that don’t go together! Luckily, you can pre-order WWE 2k15 Hulkamnia edition on PS4 or Xbox One for just $69.99 at Best Buy. It’s set to release on October 28th 2014.

First of all, let me start off by saying that you should not wait to pre-order. Best Buy lists this game at a regular price of $69.99 but everywhere else (i.e. Amazon and EB Games), it’s $109.99, which puts this deal at close to a 40% discount in comparison. It’s even already sold out at Future Shop, where it was available for $69.99 as well!

Plus, the vast majority of PlayStation and Xbox One games tend to retail for $69.99, so the fact that this limited edition is at the same price is definitely pretty awesome, especially since the regular edition of this game is retailing for that same exact price right now, but without all of the following bonus features that the Hulkamania edition has:

  • Collective art card personally autographed by Hulk Hogan
  • Funko “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan vinyl figure
  • Authentic piece of ring canvas from Hulk Hogan’s Monday Night Raw appearance on March 10, 2014 in Memphis, TN
  • Premium packaging

In this edition of the game, players are also granted access to two exclusive characters: Hulk Hogan and “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan. It’s also a game that can either be played alone as singleplayer or in a multiplayer mode as it’s in a professional wresting fighting genre. Even cooler is that this latest instalment will focus on a historical timeline of past WWE rivalries, which die hard WWE fans are sure to enjoy. On the same vein, I’m sure just about anyone could enjoy the storyline as well in order to learn more about the history of the WWE, even though it’s fake! (PS4 & Xbox One) Best Buy Canada: WWE 2k15 Hulkamania Edition Pre Order Just $70 + Free Shipping!

I have to admit that I’m not the biggest Hulk Hogan fan but this is definitely a deal I’ll be taking advantage of as soon as possible before it sells out. I’m certain that my hubby will enjoy playing, especially with the Hulk Hogan character.

Fun fact: did you know that Hulkamnia was started after Hulk Hogan won the 1984 edition of Championship Wrestling? That was 30 years ago! Even crazier is that from 2005 to 2007, Hulk Hogan made a comeback, during which he was in his 50′s!

Dell Canada: Watch Dogs – Now $58 (PS4/ Xbox)

Posted by on June 2, 2014 at 5:30 PM

Dell Canada: Watch Dogs Now $58 (PS4/ Xbox)

*Gasp*! Watch Dogs just came out and yet it’s already on sale at Dell Canada! This is particularly shocking because newly released games can usually only be had at their full regular price of $69.99 and yet you can get this action-adventure Ubisoft game for just $57.99.

Despite the fact that Dell is showing this game as being from $59.99 with a current discount of $2, this is actually the lowest price available right now as all of the other major competitors like Best Buy, Amazon and Future Shop all have it for close to $69.99.

Very similar to Grand Theft Auto, it’s a single-player game play that focuses on the story of a hacker who can manipulate the city by gaining access to surveillance cameras, controlling trains, stealing banking information etc. The player has to walk or drive around the city, performing a variety of missions with the goal of avenging the main character’s niece, which can either be played in antagonism of the law or by following the rules.

Overall, Watch Dogs has already generated a tremendous amount of positive reviews, which have praised the cleverly-designed missions and action graphics. In fact, even GameSpot has given it a rating of 8 out of 10, while IGN rated it 7.5 out of 10. These may not be full ratings of 10 out of 10 but they are still good enough to make me want to try this game. I’m particularly excited about the possibility of hacking the city and going against the law. Plus, Ubisoft also has a really good track record for created enthralling games with notable titles such as Assassin’s Creed, Batman, Far Cry, Just Dance, Prince of Persia, Rayman, Resident Evil 4, and many others. In fact, they have also produced more than 30 Tom Clancy games like Ghost Recon, Rainbow Six and Splinter Cell, with numerous instalments of each.

Father’s Day is coming up quick but it isn’t just a special occasion for your own father as Watch Dogs could make a great gift for a spouse who has just become a new daddy. Dell Canada: Watch Dogs Now $58 (PS4/ Xbox)  But hurry because this awesome deal expires soon and you won’t even have to pay shipping fees as Dell always offers free shipping.

What about you Moosers? Would you pick to play for or against the law?

The Source Canada Promo Code: $10 Off Select Xbox One Games

Just yesterday I wrote about a fantastic deal on iPad cases at The Source and yet, it looks like they’re at it again, having released yet another deal but this time for $10 off select Xbox One games.

Click here to save on select Xbox One games @ TheSource.ca now

  • Coupon Code: TSXBOX
  • Discount: $10 off select Xbox One games
  • Expiry: 30th April 2014

Originally priced at $59.99, below is a list of the Xbox One games you can save $10 on and get for just $49.99:

Personally, I’m particularly excited to try Forza Motorsport 5, a racing game, especially since an update was just released in an effort to address the numerous complaints the game received upon its release. In fact, here’s what Shaun McInnis from GameSpot wrote about this awesome game:

All of this combined makes Forza Motorsport 5 an outstanding improvement to an already excellent racing franchise. It’s far more than just a great racing sim, or a gorgeous showcase for the types of feats the Xbox One hardware is capable of. This is a game built on the romantic thrill of motorsport in all its forms, and that love for its subject matter is all but impossible to resist.

Shipping is at a flat rate of $4.99 per order, so in the spirit of saving money, I definitely suggest opting for the free in-stores pick-up instead. As always, this The Source promo code may also be found on our forum.

There are 138 video games included with this deal so there are a lot to choose from.  Additionally, they have games from all different gaming systems including Xbox, Xbox360, Play Station4, Wii, PS3, Nintendo DS and more.

If you are having trouble getting through all 138 games and find one you want, I suggest using the search on the left hand side.  You can narrow your search by price, age, brand, rating and gender to find the perfect game.

As for the cost of shipping, you will get free shipping on orders of $99.
