Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack for Xbox One Was $75 | Now $39.99 @ Amazon.ca

Some of you Moosers might have an Xbox One sitting under your Christmas tree from Santa, and in that case you won’t want to pass this deal by. The Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack for Xbox One (Standard Edition) is only $39.99 right now, which is marvelous considering it was previously $75.

With this Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack from Amazon Canada, you and your kids will be able to use the Marvel figures to activate play sets in the virtual game. You can take on the role of the Marvel characters in this starter set which include Iron Man, Thor, and Black Widow. There are more than 20 Marvel characters available to purchase and add on to the fun as well. You can purchase these alternative characters to play as Captain America, Hulk, and so many more. This game should be fun for the whole household. Choose to create your own stores or even recreate your favourite comic book stories.

This Disney Infinity Marvel Starter pack also includes: Disney Infinity Marvel Super Heroes 2.0 Edition Video Game, Disney Infinity Base, Two Toy Box game discs, Marvel’s The Avengers play set piece, a Web Code card. This game is rated E for everyone, just make note that there is awesome cartoon violence like smashing trees and throwing cars.

If you have other gaming systems, this Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack is available at a discount for other consoles as well:

To ensure you get the best deal, I put together a little price comparison.

This Disney Infinity 2.0 Marvel Super Heroes Starter Pack will also include the shipping cost from Amazon.ca. If you order now, Amazon Canada also states that your item will arrive before Christmas.

Reviewers on Amazon.ca seemed to love this one, one review states:

My boys can’t get enough of this game. They love superheroes and Infinity 2.0 is way better structured than the first one with helping guide them to missions. Since they are only 4 and 7 years old the concept of spending skill points needed to be explained but all in all a great game.

Which character will you choose to be, The Hulk crashing down trees and throwing cars – or Captain America to save the world?

Shape Up – Xbox One Only $29.96 @ Walmart (Was $60)

Posted by on December 14, 2014 at 2:23 PM

Shape Up Xbox One Only $29.96 @ Walmart (Was $60)

Shape Up for the Xbox One is on sale for only $29.96 at Walmart Canada with free shipping. That is 50% off the regular price of $59.99 so you are saving a good chunk of cash on a brand new game for a new console.

Let us get our price comparisons out of the way first. I will let you know right away that Amazon Canada just dropped their price on Shape Up for the Xbox Up to match Walmart’s price. So if Walmart sells out, you can hop on over to Amazon Canada to purchase the game. Now, while there are two companies with the same price, the game is still a good deal. Every other company I price compared with has the game for substantially higher. Shape Up is $59.99 @ Best buy, $59.99 @ Future Shop, and $59.99 @ EB games (OOS). EB Games even had recycled copies for $54.99, which are also out of stock.

This is a game you are going to want to have in your arsenal come the New Year. When you are stuffed fat full of turkey and ham and Christmas treats, you will need something to get you off your butt and burning all those calories. This game is all about making you forget you are working out by having a load of fun. Via the camera, you can work out with your friends or family. You can also save your workouts and challenge your friends.

Now, a bug taints many of the comments – where the game would just randomly crash. However, there is a simple fix for this:

To fix this issues with this game simply change the Profile Pic to a standard one. It’s a strange fix, but whatever makes it work is alright.

Once you fix the small glitch, people seem to love the game:

Two workouts completed. Keeping the game! Worked up a bit of a sweat. With a nice variety of mini games and a tracker to keep you wanting to do more, this game has just enough to be a strong addition to my stable of workout games. Personally I would price it at 44.99… especially with the season pass already available.

I like how this person suggests a price he would feel comfortable paying for the game. Well, now it is $15 below what even he would pay so I suggest grabbing it ASAP.

Microsoft Canada: Free Game & $50 Off Xbox One Bundles (ACTIVE AGAIN)

Posted by on December 10, 2014 at 9:00 AM

Microsoft Canada: Free Game & $50 Off Xbox One Bundles (ACTIVE AGAIN)

(BUMP – Microsoft have this back in stock for today only in their 12 days of deal!)

Microsoft is offering $50 off and a free game of your choice with Xbox One bundles right now. With your order you will also receive free shipping.

Now, the $50 off bundle price is not much of a deal on its own. Sure, it beats the price of many of the bundles on Walmart.ca right now. However, the $50 off brings these bundles at Microsoft down to the price of the bundles at Amazon Canada. For example, the Xbox One with Kinect Assassin’s Creed Bundle is on sale for $449.99 (was $499.99) at Microsoft and it costs the same at Amazon Canada.
Where the deal actually lies is in the free game. This is an offer none of the other stores has and the games are valued up to $69.99. Choose from:

  • Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare for Xbox One ($39.99)
  • Halo: The Master Chief Collection for Xbox One ($69.99)
  • Sunset Overdrive for Xbox One ($64.99)
  • Forza Horizon 2 Day One for Xbox One ($64.99)
  • Destiny for Xbox One ($69.99)
  • Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare for Xbox One ($69.99)
  • Titanfall for Xbox One ($59.99)
  • Forza Motorsport 5 for Xbox One ($49.99)

You might think these are just the retail prices and that the games are going for much lower by now, but they are not. I checked out Halo: The Master Chief Collection on Amazon – it is still priced at $69. The other big boy, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, currently costs $68.66 on Amazon. If you are trying to maximize your value, then purchase one of those two games.

The free game is what makes this deal superior to other retailers even if they have nearly the same price. You can receive a free game, which you are bound to buy anyway, that is worth $70. That is a pretty sweet bonus and is roughly equivalent to a 15 to 20% bonus value on your bundle depending upon which bundle you purchase.

These bundles are selling out quickly as one just sold out while I was writing this deal up, so buy now. Then tell us which free game you picked!

NCIX Canada: NHL 15 For The Xbox One | Was $70 Now $40

NCIX Canada: NHL 15 For The Xbox One | Was $70 Now $40

Now this is one spicy deal! Today at NCIX you can order NHL 15 for the Xbox One system for just $39.99! You’ll also get free shipping with your order! This is the most popular hockey franchise available, and it’s also the latest addition to the well known EA Sports series. This normally sells for $69.99, so you’re getting one heck of a deal! Quantities of this video game are extremely limited, so get this now while it’s still available!

When you think of hockey video games, you think of EA Sports’ NHL series. This franchise has been around since 1991, when it was originally released on PC computers (for those who remember using the MS-Dos command line to boot up games, I salute you), and on the Sega Genesis video game console. They started to appear on the Super Nintendo when NHLPA Hockey 93 was released, and they eventually made their way on to the next generation of video game consoles several years later (the Sony Playstation, Sega Saturn, and Nintendo 64). Today, we’re still playing the NHL games on our PS4 and Xbox One video game systems!

If a family member, friend, or significant other has been hyped about this next-gen instalment of the NHL series, then they will certainly be ecstatic to receive NHL 15 for the Xbox One during the holidays! Get this while you can, though, because stock is limited, and it won’t be around for very long!

If you wanted to buy this game from Best Buy today, it would cost you $62.99 (it’s on sale today). Listed below is a snippet of a review of NHL 15 for the Xbox One from a satisfied Best Buy customer below:

NHL 15 was rebuilt on a new engine for Xbox One, bringing a new visual feast for our eyes. Realistic jersey movement and crowds really draw you into the game.

Happy hunting, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

NCIX Canada: Destiny For The Xbox One | Was $70 Now $40

NCIX Canada: Destiny For The Xbox One | Was $70 Now $40

If you want to save big on an Xbox One game that’s going to be on many Christmas lists this year, then NCIX Canada is your hookup! At this time, you can now purchase the highly praised Destiny for the Xbox One for only $39.99! This game currently retails for $69.99! If you wanted to buy this game today at Best Buy or The Microsoft Store, it would cost you $69.99. Now this is one hot deal! You’ll also get free shipping with your order, which is always a nice bonus!

Destiny for the Xbox One is a shooter that will please many fans. You can learn more about this popular game by clicking on the link above.

At this time, I’m still on the fence regarding the Xbox One and PS4 console war. I currently have a Wii U, which I thoroughly enjoy, but I know that the Xbox One and the PS4 have plenty of different games that you can’t play on Nintendo’s new console. Destiny is one of those games – it’s only available on the Sony PS4 or Microsoft’s Xbox One. Plus, the graphics for both of these consoles are just mind-blowing! I think I might have to buy one of these systems next year, when even more games are released for them.

I’ve included a brief review of Destiny for the Xbox One from a satisfied Best Buy customer below:

One of the best titles to come out so far for the XBOX One. If you enjoyed Halo then you’ll have a hard time putting this one down.

If you plan to buy Destiny for the Xbox One for a special someone, then you need to take advantage of this deal at NCIX. It’s $30 off the retail price, you’ll get free shipping with your order, so it’s a win-win situation! Quantities are limited, so get this while it’s still available! Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

Shoppers Drug Mart Canada: Game On Sale | Get 20X The Optimum Points On Video Games Today Only (EXPIRED)

Good morning, my fellow deal hunters! Shoppers Drug Mart is currently advertising a cool promotion on their website, and it just might pique your interest. If you pick up any video games tomorrow at a Shoppers Drug Mart location near you, you could get 20 times the Shoppers Optimum Points with your purchase (if you spend $50 or more)! If you don’t have a Shoppers Optimum Card, you could easily apply for one at a Shoppers Drug Mart location near you (and it’s free of charge). This can lead to some big savings, especially if you plan to purchase certain video games or consoles for Christmas, including the Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PS4, Nintendo Wii U, or Nintendo 3DS. You can find out just how much you can save by checking out the Shoppers Optimum Points calculator that’s on their website – click here to see how much you could save!

There are many great video games that you can save on during this one-day sale. It will only be valid today (Saturday November 15th), and it can help you get a huge amount of Shoppers Optimum Points that you could use for future purchases at Shoppers Drug Mart (yes, you could even use these optimum points to get more points once they show up in your account).

In fact, you could even spend $299.99 on a Wii U system today and get 20X the Shoppers Optimum Points for your purchase. This would translate to 60,000 Optimum Points, which equals to about $95 of credit that you could use (once it shows up in your account). So you could come back in a few weeks and use that credit on another video game that hasn’t been released yet, like the highly anticipated Super Smash Bros. U (which should retail for $64.99), which means that you’d still have about $30 in Shoppers Optimum Points to use! Now that’s a sweet deal.

This 20x Optimum Points promotion can also apply to other merchandise in the store (with select exclusions, which you could check out here.) Have fun today, Bargainmoosers – I hope you can all find some sweet video games and consoles at Shoppers Drug Mart today!

If you wanted to buy these games at another retail location this week, you wouldn’t be able to get a 15% or a 20% discount on your purchase, so Toys R Us is the place to be this week! Just be sure to get those games before they’re out of stock! I’ve included a brief review of Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One from a satisfied Future Shop customer below:

Fantastic game!! This is so much fun so far… Very fun game. I recommend it to anyone who likes having a lot of fun blowing things up!!

(Xbox 360) Call Of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition On Final Clearance @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada – Just $30 (HOT!) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on November 11, 2014 at 12:15 PM

(Xbox 360) Call Of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition On Final Clearance @ Best Buy & Future Shop Canada Just $30 (HOT!) (EXPIRED)

Coincidentally with last week’s release of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, both Best Buy and Future Shop now have Call of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition on final clearance for just $29.99.

Originally released exactly one year ago, on November 5th 2013, Call of Duty: Ghosts Prestige Edition includes the popular game of course, but most notably, it also comes with a 1080p HD tactical camera. Just the camera alone is the main reason why a $30 final clearance price tag is a steal of a deal. Mountable, the camera is water-resistant, shockproof, has a 170-degree wide-angle lens and 3 attachments. With a 4GB memory card, it allows you to film, edit and share videos.

It also comes with a paracord strap (a bracelet), a collectible SteelBook with exclusive artwork, a copy of the game’s soundtrack and a season pass, which includes all of the following:

  • 4 DLC map packs
  • Team Leader digital content pack
  • Unique MP character with special gear & character background

On Amazon, the prestige edition is currently on sale for $81 (reg. $199.99). Since neither Best Buy’s, nor Future Shop’s websites have any reviews, here’s one I found on Amazon:

A couple notes on the gameplay I have enjoyed to date. The movement is exquisitely fluid, this is so very polished. Having played back and forth between BF4 and Ghosts the last few weeks, COD took mantling and made it better. The knee slide is just icing. There are notable differences in weapon behavior between this and the previous versions. No longer is the SMB the ultimate weapon. And snipers cannot quick scope the way they used to. That doesn’t mean a truly good sniper won’t take you out, but it means that the glitch that made quick scoping bread and butter is gone.

The PS3 versions of COD Ghosts Prestige Edition are already sold out online at both Best Buy and Future Shop but you could try reserving it at your nearest store for same day pick-up.

Since both Best Buy and Future Shop ship orders over $25 for free, you’re also sure to get free shipping on it.

NCIX Canada: FIFA 2015 For The Xbox One | Was $70 Now $40 (EXPIRED)

NCIX Canada: FIFA 2015 For The Xbox One | Was $70 Now $40 (EXPIRED)

Good morning, my fellow gamers! NCIX currently has an incredible sale on FIFA 2015 for the Microsoft Xbox One system – it typically retails for $69.99, but for one day only you can buy this extremely popular soccer game for only $39.99! That’s a great price for this new game. Plus, you’ll also get free shipping with your order!

FIFA 2015 by EA Sports continues the long line and tradition of the FIFA Soccer video game series. I still remember when the very first FIFA Soccer video game was released – it was FIFA International Soccer, which essentially was FIFA ’94. I played this on my Sega Genesis (it handled sports games wonderfully – that’s why the system had so many of them, since its processor was a little faster than the Super Nintendo’s). The gameplay was fun, exciting, and easy to control, and to this day the FIFA Soccer franchise is still going strong.

Xbox One fans – if you love soccer and enjoy sports games, then you need to take advantage of this deal. Quantities are extremely limited, so once these copies of FIFA 2015 for the Xbox One are sold out, then you won’t be able to reap in the benefits of this bargain. In other words, act quickly and place your order before it’s too late!

If you wanted to buy FIFA 2015 for the Xbox One at Best Buy, it would cost you $69.99, and it’s $69.83 at Amazon. I’ve included a brief review of this game from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

Great game. Takes some getting used to, though. Huge improvement over 14.

This deal won’t be around for long, so act quickly and nab this game before it’s out of stock. Happy gaming, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

Game Access Canada: Murdered Soul Suspect (Used) For The Xbox One | Was $50 Now $15 (EXPIRED)

Game Access Canada: Murdered Soul Suspect (Used) For The Xbox One | Was $50 Now $15 (EXPIRED)

Happy Halloween, my fellow deal hunters! Game Access is currently having an enticing deal on their used copies of Murdered: Soul Suspect for the Xbox One video game system. It normally retails for $49.99, but you can now get it for $14.72 (plus $3 shipping). Getting cheap, affordable Xbox One games can always put a smile on any gamer’s face!

Murdered: Soul Suspect looks like an interesting game. I’ve never seen this on sale at Game Access before, and it currently sells for $38.89 on Amazon, and it’s currently on sale for $34.99 at Best Buy.

What’s interesting about this game is that it was released by Square Enix, a company that’s known for many classic and epic video games. I still have fond memories of playing Final Fantasy II and III on my Super Nintendo and getting sucked into the plot and strategic gameplay.

I also have some hilarious yet embarrassing memories of my 11-year-old self playing Dragon Warrior on my original Nintendo system in my basement during the summer, accompanied by one of my best friends at the time: a club pack of No Name Brand cheesies. I can’t stop laughing picturing that visual! Sad but true – it’ll always make me chuckle, but I really loved that game!

From the reviews I’ve read on this game, it apparently has a great story line. I’ve included a snippet of a review of Murdered: Soul Suspect for the Xbox One from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

I had my eye out on Soul Suspect ever since Square Enix published the story about releasing this game a year or so ago, and boy was I lucky enough to have my expectations met. This game is really an amazing one! Enjoy it.

This deal will expire before midnight. Happy Halloween, my fellow gamers!

Xbox Live Marketplace Canada: Get 50% To 75% Off Select Xbox 360 Games

This is an intriguing deal that Xbox 360 owners can check out. When you log into the Xbox Live Marketplace, you can now save anywhere from 50% to 75% on a handful of great games! You won’t have to worry about paying shipping either, since you’ll be able to download these games on to your Xbox 360 system and play them soon after your purchase! All I can say to that is the following: whooo!

Here are the games that are included in this enticing Xbox Marketplace sale:  Alice: Madness Returns ($4.99 – was $19.99), Dead Space ($5.09 – was $14.99), Dead Island: Riptide ($9.99 – was $19.99), Dead Space 3 ($4.99 – was $19.99), and Mass Effect ($4.99 – was $19.99).

This sale doesn’t seem like something that’s being promoted too much by Microsoft, so click on the individual game links above to check out each deal. Get them quickly, because they just might go back to regular price soon!

These are some very familiar games – they certainly aren’t any discounted indy games! Mass Effect has had quite the following for a while as well, so it’s quite the popular game. If you’re looking for a way to enjoy some great titles on your Xbox 360 for a cheap price, then you should download these games.

If you were to purchase Mass Effect from Best Buy, it would cost you $19.99. These titles might be older, but they’re still great if you haven’t tried them before. I’ve included a brief review of Mass Effect from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

This review is short but sweet. Get Mass Effect now if : you remotely enjoy RPG’s AND/OR are a science fiction aficionado. Enough said.

These games may not be discounted for very long, so if you want them, get them as soon as you can. I hope you’re all enjoying your weekend!

Game Access Canada: Far Cry 3 (Used) For The Xbox 360 | Was $20 Now $8 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on October 25, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Game Access Canada: Far Cry 3 (Used) For The Xbox 360 | Was $20 Now $8 (EXPIRED)

Good afternoon, Bargainmoosers! Game Access currently has a good deal on used copies of Far Cry 3 for the Xbox 360 video game system. Originally $19.99, you can now purchase this game for $7.72 (plus $3 shipping). That’s a pretty sweet deal! This game was also quite popular when it was originally released, so if you’ve never played it before, this may be a good chance to try it out.

Far Cry 3 is a quality first person shooter for the Xbox 360. It gets rave reviews from both critics and gamers alike, and it currently has a score of 91 on Metacritic – that’s no easy feat! It’s a title that continually gets praised to this day.

So I’d like to take this opportunity to share a story that’s related to this game. Early last year, I decided to randomly pick up some Taco Bell at a shopping mall – it had been a long while since I’d bitten into some delicious salty tacos, and I had a particular craving for Fries Supreme. So Taco Bell was running a promotion where you can get the chance to win a PS3 and some other assorted prizes, and when I removed the coupon from the side of my soft drink, I found out that I won Far Cry 3 for the Playstation 3!

This was a very recent release at the time, and I was surprised that I actually won a decent prize from one of those contests! Unfortunately, reality set in – I didn’t have a PS3 system at the time! I just had an Xbox 360. After I eventually received this game in the mail, I ended up selling it on Kijiji for $20 off the retail price at the time – at least someone else was able to enjoy it, and I was able to afford more tacos and Fries Supreme from Taco Bell!

If you were to buy Far Cry 3 for the Xbox 360 at Best Buy, it would cost you $19.99 (plus shipping), and it’s currently $17.88 at Amazon (plus shipping). Listed below is a brief review of Far Cry 3 for the Xbox 360 from a satisfied Game Access customer:

The organic nature of the open world of Far Cry 3 is what won me over. The island simply feels alive, from the animals, weather, people and activities to accomplish, it’s a terrific experience. The story is also a great time, but the world is really the draw here.

This deal will expire before midnight, so if you’re looking for an affordable game to try out for the Xbox 360 system, then you should consider getting Far Cry 3. Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

Best Buy Canada: Pre Order White Xbox One Sunset Overdrive 500GB System Bundle | $465 Value Now $400

Hey there, my fellow gamers! Best Buy currently has pre-orders available for the new White Xbox One Sunset Overdrive system bundle, and until October 30th, you can get it for $399.99! The value of this bundle is $464.99, and Xbox One systems with no games included typically retail for the same price ($399.99). Plus, you’ll also qualify for free shipping! Even though it won’t begin to ship until October 28th (this Tuesday), stock is very limited right now, so this will be your chance to still get this great deal!

This special White Xbox One Sunset Overdrive bundle comes with the system (with 500GB of storage space), a wireless controller, and a digital copy of the new Sunset Overdrive game (you’ll just have to redeem your download voucher online, so no physical copy of the game is included, but you get a full download of the game). It also includes special Day One Edition in-game content for this brand spanking new game, which is already getting major airtime (you may have seen the commercial for the game by now).

Sunset Overdrive is currently getting some major hype, as this fun-looking game has been anticipated for quite a while. Now that it’s going to be released this Tuesday, people that were waiting for the right time to purchase an Xbox One system can finally do so. After all, you’re essentially getting the game for free with the Xbox One console for this price ($399.99).

If you went to WalMart and bought an Xbox One system with no games, it would cost you $399.99, and a copy of Sunset Overdrive would be an extra $64.96. I’ve included a brief review of the Xbox One system from a satisfied Best Buy customer below:

My son has been very happy with the xbox one. He loves the upgrade that allows him to watch TV while playing a game.

Best Buy doesn’t have many of these systems remaining in stock at this time, so check out this deal while it’s still available! I hope you enjoy the rest of your Saturday, my fellow Bargainmoosers!
