    WagJag Canada: 40% Off xBox 360 & Kinect & 2 Games! (Now $199)

With this superfantastic deal from WagJag, there is no reason not to own an xBox 360 anymore!

That intro was a lie. Maybe you just don’t want an xBox 360. I’m okay with that. I understand. Especially if you already have a PS3 or an xBox 360. For those of you who want one, this is a great chance to get one for super cheap. Also, Superfantastic is a word. Look it up. No, don’t. That was also a lie.

This is what the deal includes:

    • 4GB xBox 360
    • Kinect Sensor
    • Two games – Kinect Disneyland Adventures and Kinect Adventures
    • One controller

The games included aren’t the best things out there but they are fun enough to toy around with and to test the Kinect. The retail price of this package is $338 but you get it for only $199. You save $139! This deal is limited so if you’re gonna get one, get one now. Shipping is included in the price.

EB Games Canada: $25 Gift Card w/ Purchase Of Select xBox 360s + 30% Off xBox Accessories

EB Games Canada: $25 Gift Card w/ Purchase Of Select xBox 360s + 30% Off xBox Accessories

Late to the xBox game? Well, now is the time to pick one up! And if you’re picking one up anyways, you might as well get it at EB Games and get a $25 gift card with it!

They have two different xBox 360s sets available. One is the xBox 360 Elite 250GB and one is, from what I can tell, the same console but with two games. I feel like I must be missing something but it is what it is. Shipping will be around the $10 mark for the consoles and $5 for the accessories and games.

It’s hard to do an article about the xBox 360 because I feel like everyone who would buy one already knows about it. The xBox is just a great console with great games. You can’t say much else about it. It has awesome games, a great online experience and it can be used as the center of your living room’s media setup.

The main part of this deal, for me, is the $25 EB gift card. That in itself is enough to make it a good deal, but EB just won’t quit! They are also offering up to 30% off the xBox 360 headset, the xBox 360 controller or a twelve month xBox Live plan. You can even get a deal on Halo 4!

Since I don’t really have much to say about the xBox 360, how about you tell me about the xBox 360? Is this your first xBox 360 or have you had one for a while? Why do you love it? Is it the games? The media stuff? Maybe you just love Kinect! Whatever it is, let me know in the comments below!

The Source Canada: $100 Off Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle

Posted by on March 29, 2013 at 8:00 PM

The Source Canada: $100 Off Xbox 360 Kinect Bundle

The Source Canada is selling the 4GB Xbox 360 Kinect bundle for $100 off, now only $199.96. I price matched elsewhere and couldn’t find a price even close to this for this bundle.

This bundle comes with a black Xbox 360 console, a wireless controller, the Kinect sensor, a one-month subscription to Xbox LIVE and the games Kinect Adventures and Kinect Disneyland Adventures. It has 4GB of internal flash memory and built-in wi-fi for easy connection to Xbox LIVE.

What’s great about Xbox 360 Kinect is that it is a full-body input system, where you are the controller. You need to do the motions with your entire body, rather than just your thumbs, to move the characters in the games.

There are many great controller-free games for Xbox 360, and you can get a lot of them, plus HD movies from Xbox LIVE. You need an internet connection to access this service.

Check out all the awesome reviews for this machine.

Shipping is free to the store, or starts at $4.99.

    WagJag Canada: xBox 360 4GB w/ Kinect + 2 FREE Games Only $200 (Save $100)

    WagJag Canada: xBox 360 4GB w/ Kinect + 2 FREE Games Only $200 (Save $100)

WagJag Canada is bringing the serious gaming love with the great xBox 360 Kinect bundle!

These generally retail for about $299 with only one game. So all said and done you’re probably saving $120. The bundle comes with a 4GB xBox 360, a Kinect, Disneyland Adventures and Kinect Adventure. Not a bad haul for only $200 bucks.

If you are so inclined, you can actually use your Kinect to control other stuff. There are tons of projects out there, some easy DIY stuff, some more complex projects, that allow you to use the Kinect as an interface for other things. This video has some neat Kinect based projects. Even if you aren’t technologically inclined, people have written programs that let you do some neat stuff. You can just install them on your computer like any other program.

This deal is very limited in quantity so if you want one, get it right now!

(Expires: 24th February 2013 but quantities are limited!)

Amazon.ca: $50 Amazon Canada Video Game Store Gift Card w/ xBox 360

Amazon.ca: $50 Amazon Canada Video Game Store Gift Card w/ xBox 360

There are a lot of constants in life. We’re all going to die. The sun always rises in the east. And we always have to shell out another $50 for a game after we get a new console. The only way to get around it is to buy your xBox 360 from Amazon Canada and have them buy your game for you.

I wish that you got this deal every time you bought a console. I understand it’d be hard and expensive to let you pick whatever game you want and get ir for free with every console but maybe the console manufacturer could let you pick a game that they published. Buy an xBox, get a Microsoft game, buy a PS3, get a Sony Game. Buy a Wii U and get a terrible console… I mean a Nintendo game.

Well, that’s just a dream at this point so companies like Amazon Canada have to step in and hook us up. Like I said in the title, the gift card is only valid for video games purchased from Amazon Canada, not for general Amazon purchases. Also, it isn’t an actual card, it’s a virtual one. They email you a coupon code that you can use to save $50 off your game purchase. The xBox is the $199.99 4GB version of the 360.

As per usual, purchases over $25 ship for free from Amazon.

Comixology: Celebrating the Release of Halo 4 with a Halo Comic Sale!

Comixology: Celebrating the Release of Halo 4 with a Halo Comic Sale!

If you’re a Halo fan, why not get some more Halo in your life? Comixology is offering more Halo to you in comic form!

There are four comics here for $6.99 each and they are all bigger than your standard comic, coming in at between 105 and 125 pages. As is usual, Comixology doesn’t include their “before” prices. These are digital comics and you can read them ony our computer, iOS device or Android. I suggest their tablet apps. They are fabu.

I think media properties like this are an odd thing. I’m not a huge fan of Halo (even though I have been known to partake in a Halo LAN party or two) but I’m definitely interested in the comics. I definitely won’t buy Halo 4 (which comes out today) but if I can convince myself that it’s a good idea to buy more comics when I have tons pilingup already, then I will be grabbing these. There are a few things like that. Twilight for instance. I know people (guys) who would rather gag themselved with a knife than read the Twilight books but totally dug the movies. The Walking Dead is another. I think my heart would stop from shock if I ever saw my wife pick up a Walking Dead comic but we watch the latest from the TV series every week. It’s an interesting phenomena.

    Amazon.ca: xBox360 4GB for Only $133.56! (Save $66.43)

Posted by on September 23, 2012 at 10:00 AM

    Amazon.ca: xBox360 4GB for Only $133.56! (Save $66.43)

Whether you don’t have a current Gen console at all, or you have a PS3, or even if you already have an xBox 360, this is a stupid good deal.

This console is normally $199 but you only pay $133.56. That’s a 33% savings.

Do you realise that this makes the xBox 360 LESS than the Nintendo Wii!? That’s a ridiculous price. I often talk about prices being so low on certain products that you can pick up a few just to have them laying around. This is the kind of low price I’m talking about. At this price, you can put one in your living room and your bedroom or one in each of your kid’s rooms.

Like I mentioned above, even if you have a (ahem, superior) PS3 you can still justify getting this just based the handful of xBox exclusives that come out here and there. Even if you have a bunch of friends who do LAN parties with their xBox’s and you are sitting on your throne made of PS3s, you can slum it for a while with an xBox 360.

I’m always impressed at how much they can get in these thin consoles. The cheapest model available at launch was $400 Canadian. That was the core model (later the arcade model) which is the closest to the 4GB slim. It also makes me laugh that the full blown xBox 360 was $500 and it only had a 20GB HDD at launch. You had to pay to upgrade it to a 40GB.

Dell Canada: Buy a Dell, Get a Free Xbox – Student Offer

Posted by on August 12, 2012 at 5:00 PM

Dell Canada: Buy a Dell, Get a Free Xbox Student Offer

Dell Canada is in the business of selling computers. Students are in the business of learning, and often use computer to assist them (or so they say). Dell Canada is offering students who purchase a computer valued at $699 or more a free Xbox.

A standard Xbox 360 4GB console runs $193.82 on Amazon.ca (or $199.99 on Dell)… so for rounding purposes consider this a $200 freebie. Sweet!

You also have the option of spending over $750 on select PCs and getting up to $100 back instantly.

My advice is to get the Xbox, don’t open the box and sell it if you need the money more! $100 back is nothing when you could probably sell a brand new, unopened, in box Xbox for more.

For this deal you will most likely need:

    • School Name (Example: University of Alberta)
    • Department (Example: Business)
    • Student ID (Example: 1694389)

If you have any trouble just talk with Dell Customer Support on their online chat.

Judi mentioned this promo briefly in her last Dell post, but I felt it needed some true consideration. This is a great opportunity for students and parents of students to get a new computer and either a new Xbox, or the opportunity to sell the Xbox for a little extra cash back.

Batman: Arkham City- Game of the Year Edition for $29.99 (Save $20) at Amazon.ca

Posted by on July 9, 2012 at 7:00 PM

Batman: Arkham City Game of the Year Edition for $29.99 (Save $20) at Amazon.ca

It’s the game of the year and it’s Batman! Amazing gaming deals right here on Bargainmoose! Same Moose time! Same Moose channel.

(Even though they now say temporarily out of stock on the above links, you can still place your order and wait for it to arrive)

This is the same game that was released in October but it has a bunch of extras. You get maps, skins, a free movie and a bunch of other stuff. Here is the rundown of the pack-ins from the Amazon.com page:

    • The Game of the Year Edition includes Harley Quinn’s Revenge. Now more dangerous than ever and leading a homicidal gang of her own, she is hell-bent on taking revenge against the Dark Knight.
    • Bonus content includes: Catwoman Pack, Robin Bundle Pack, Nightwing Bundle Pack, Arkham City Skins Pack and Challenge Map Pack
    • Download Batman Year One movie from PSN or XBL
    • Harley Quinn’s Revenge contains over 2 hours of content, new storyline and enemies, play as both Batman and Robin, new environments and new collectables

    And of course free shipping.

At this price point I am picking up a copy as soon as I’m done writing this. I’m a moderate Batman fan and I’ve never played this game but I’m pretty excited to get it. It has a rating of 96 (!!) on metacritic (94 for xBox) so you know it’s gotta be good. If you played the first one and haven’t already gotten all the DLC but you want it, this would actually be worth the $30, I think.
