$40 off Casio Edifice Chronograph Men’s Watch: Now $69.99 & Free Shipping @ Costco.ca

Posted by on October 18, 2014 at 10:00 AM

$40 off Casio Edifice Chronograph Men’s Watch: Now $69.99 & Free Shipping @ Costco.ca

If you or your partner are on the lookout for a new watch, consider this pretty hot deal on the Casio Edifice Chronograph Men’s Watch on special offer at Costco Canada just now. Originally priced at $109.99, they’ve knocked $40 off this price bringing it down to only $69.99. Plus, you will get free shipping and handling too!

The Casio Edifice Chronograph Men’s Watch EFR-529-7A is a grey and green finish as pictured above, so it may not be to everyone’s taste. Personally, I quite like the colour. Regardless of the fact that this is a man’s watch, I’d wear this myself.

The Casio watch has only got 5 reviews on the Costco site, but it scores a total rating of 4.5/5 on those, with comments such as:

Good weight, simple – no unneeded bells and whistles, comfortable band … looks and feels great, fantastic price.

One commenter was irked that the watch didn’t come with any instructions. I don’t think this is a big deal… watches are extremely to operate. And if all else fails, just google for help.

To price compare: while this exact watch isn’t sold at many other retialers, I did spot it for $107 @ PC-Canada, $124 @ FrontierPC and $115 @ DirectDial. The Costco price comes in well below the competition.

Believe it or not, I started my Christmas shopping last week! I know it’s only October, but when you spot great bargains on various items, it’s good to buy them and start putting them away for Christmas. Out of the list of around 14 family members I have to buy for, I’ve already got pressies for four of them. I’m being very well-organised this year! I bring this up because this Casio watch is just the kind of deal which could be good to buy as a Christmas pressie. Getting it now, putting it away until December… it’s a great idea to save money these holidays.

Best Buy Canada: FILA Casual Men’s Watch Was $83 now $30 & Free Shipping (Expired)

Best Buy Canada: FILA Casual Mens Watch Was $83 now $30 & Free Shipping (Expired)

With the influx of cell phones in our society, you may notice that there are not as many people wearing watches nowadays. After all, since you’re able to already “tell time” by pulling your cell phone out of your pocket, I can understand why people may not find it important to wear a watch. However, isn’t that what makes something stylish? You can stand out from the crowd in a positive way by rocking a high quality watch, and today’s deal at Best Buy can help you do just that – while saving some of your hard earned cash! Today’s online deal at Best Buy is for a FILA casual men’s watch (38 – 030 – 002) with a black band and black dial, which you can get for only $29.99 (plus free shipping). What makes this deal monumental is the fact that it’s $53 off of Best Buy’s regular price, and you won’t find it for this cheap anywhere else!

Though this deal is valid until September 2nd, it’s important to remember that quantities are limited, so get this deal while you can. FILA is one of the most reputable brands out there, and this casual men’s watch looks sleek, sophisticated, and expensive.

At $29, you’re saving big – after all, it costs $82.98 at Future Shop. The lowest price I’m able to find this FILA casual men’s watch for is $75 at Shop.ca, which is still $45 more than the price you’d be paying at Best Buy. In fact, this deal is so enticing that I’m going to actually purchase one! I haven’t owned a watch for about 12 years (like many people, I stopped wearing one when I got my cell phone), so I actually look forward to having this FILA watch occupy my wrist. It can also help you look professional at your workplace, which can always be beneficial. Here is a review from a satisfied Future Shop customer:

“For anyone who wants a good basic watch this is a good choice. The band material is a rubbery type substance, may be silicone. During this time of year (late fall) it is not a problem but during the summer it may become sweaty. Knowing what I know now, I would still buy this watch and would consider giving one as a gift. I would also be interested in buying another FILA model sometime.”

Quantities are limited, so get this watch while you still can! Good luck, Bargainmoosers, and enjoy your holiday!

The Source Canada: $120 Off Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit Smartwatch – Now $100

Posted by on August 2, 2014 at 11:00 PM

The Source Canada: $120 Off Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit Smartwatch Now $100

Get with the times and get the Samsung Galaxy Gear Fit smartwatch for a $120 discount at The Source. Instead of its regular price of $219.99, it can be yours for just $99.99!

Features

  • 1.63″ super AMOLED screen
  • Dust & weather resistant
  • Alarm notifications for messages, e-mails, phone calls etc.

It also comes with the required lithium ion battery, which is then rechargeable with the Samsung charger that is included. The watch also comes with a charging cradle, which should be perfect for placing on the night stand or anywhere else in the house.

Even cooler is that you can actually also place and accept calls with the watch. Although my initial reaction was to think that this would be useful for individuals in a work setting, I actually do think it could also be useful for just about anyone, but especially moms and dads who are constantly on the go. There is nothing more challenging than trying to located your phone amongst a pile of dirty laundry or with hands full of groceries.

Gear Fit only alerts you to calls. You must take the call on the phone. Can also reject calls from the Gear Fit. Pretty much just alerts or notifies you, so you don’t need to dig for your phone everytime.

I constantly misplace my phone, so the fact that this watch could alert me when I’m out of range of it is definitely a nice feature to have.

Price Comparison

The only other place I found this watch is at B&H Photo Video for $149.95 along with duties and customs as it would ship from the US.

As for the Samsung Gear 2 smart watch, the next model in the series, the cheapest I have found it anywhere else is at Amazon, where it’s on sale for $164.99 from a regular retail price of $249.99. Both Best Buy and Future Shop also have this smartwatch for $199.95. If you’re wondering which watch to get, then Mike Plant’s “Gear 2 versus Gear Fit – which is the top gear?” should be helpful. Essentially, it really comes down to what you’re looking for. While both watches can be used for fitness, the Gear 2 has additional features like a camera and voice recognition, though personally, I would never see myself using the former as I prefer to use my iPhone’s better camera.

Shipping

Shipping is at a flat rate o $4.99 per order but to avoid this charge, you can have your order shipped to your local The Source store for free instead.

Peoples Jewellers Canada: Men’s Bulova Stainless Steel Watch Now $126 / Was $225

Posted by on July 13, 2014 at 1:30 PM

Peoples Jewellers Canada: Mens Bulova Stainless Steel Watch Now $126 / Was $225

Jewellery and accessories are not just for women, but for men as well.  I know a lot of guys that love a great watch to wear just like a women may love a ring or a beautiful set of earrings.  Right now at Peoples Jewellers, they have clearance items for both men and women that will save you a bundle.  I found this men’s Bulova stainless steel watch that was $225 and is now on clearance for just $126.

The regular price of this watch is $225, but they have it on clearance for just $157.50.  You will save even more money with a deal they have happening for a limited time only. Save an additional 20% on all clearance items once you add them to your cart at the checkout.  Once I added this watch to my cart, it was discounted even further to just $126 which is a pretty spectacular deal.

There is no coupon needed to get the additional 20% off because it will be automatic for a limited time only.  They don’t actually say when it will end, so I suggest shopping sooner rather than later. If you have a Peoples Jewellers credit card and use it to pay at the checkout, you will save an additional 5% saving you a total of 25% instead of the extra 20% off. Either way, you are getting a great deal.

This watch is framed by a stainless steel case and bezel, and it has the subtly textured silver-toned dial, features Arabic numerals and also a calendar function at the six-o’clock position. It has a durable stainless steel band and is fastened by a fold-over clasp with double push-button safety. Additionally, the watch is water resistant up to 30 meters and comes with a two year warranty.

Peoples Jewellers offers free shipping for orders of $199 or more, but they also have a second option.  You can get your items shipped for free to your local store and avoid the shipping costs all together.  Personally, I would go with the second option for a jewellery purchase, because I would like to see the piece of jewellery at the store.

As a nice little bonus, you can get this watch gift wrapped in a beautiful silver box and bow absolutely free. This is perfect for anyone purchasing this watch as a gift for someone special.

Roots Canada: 50% off All Watches

Posted by on November 26, 2013 at 9:30 PM

Roots Canada: 50% off All Watches

What time is it, you ask? Of course you’re asking, you haven’t picked up an awesome Roots watch yet!

I am not a watch guy. Even when I wore watches, they never lasted. I’d take it off for some reason and never put it back on or I’d forget to take it off and it’d get wrecked. Regardless, I do like a good watch. It seems classy to me. I mean, it’s definitely classier than pulling your phone out to check the time but even beyond that there seems to me to be a sophisticated air about a quality timepiece. One of these watches would be a great gift idea for any watch wearer on your list. Or maybe I’m just crazy, I dunno.

And it doesn’t have to be your traditional gold watch or giant, five pound metal clunker around your wrist. You can get a cool leather cuff style watch like the Men’s Landmark Tribe Watch (Was $125 – Save $63.02 – Now $61.98) or a cool retro-looking digital watch like the Ladies Boardwalk White (Was $45 – Save $23.02 – Now $21.98).

There is no warranty and no returns on these watches. Shipping was under $5 for me.

eBay Canada: Discount Watches + Free Shipping @ Watch Vendor

eBay Canada: Discount Watches + Free Shipping @ Watch Vendor

Watch Vendor on eBay Canada is a Canadian seller of authentic designer watches at discount prices. All watches ship from within Canada and have free shipping.

I love watches! I have an ESQ by Movado watch which is my getting dressed up and going out to dinner watch. I also own an Aquaswiss watch with diamond studding that I got at a massive sale. It is actually my daily watch. I love the heft of it! I never have bought a watch at retail price because you can often find awesome deals online.

Watch Vendor has this Bulova Bangle Set White Dial Women’s Watch 96X111 which I am absolutely drooling over. It retailed for $250 and is listed currently at $185 US. You can also make an offer to the seller and see if they will accept a lower price! If I didn’t already own two watches I would be making an offer this second. I just adore it.

This men’s Toy Watch Mesh Stainless Steel Unisex Watch MH02SL reminds me of a sports car… both are pluses for me. It originally retailed for $225 and is on sale for $128 US. Again, you can make an offer to the seller and see if they will accept a lower price. It is a fabulous looking watch and would make a great gift.

The free shipping offer with all these watches really makes this deal sparkle in my eyes. For other free shipping with no minimum deals check out this page.

Best Buy Canada: 75% Off Danish Design Watch $50

Best Buy Canada: 75% Off Danish Design Watch $50

This weekend only get a Danish Design Women’s Casual Analog Watch with a Stainless Steel Band and Black Dial for only $49.99, originally $199.99.

This is an online only deal from Best Buy Canada. You can buy the watch online and pick it up in store if you need a new watch ASAP, but this watch qualifies for free shipping to your home, so there is no reason to go in store for this deal.

There isn’t much information on the watch, but I do know it comes with a one year warranty and it is water resistant up to 30 meters. I always take that water resistance rating with a very large grain of salt (maybe an entire box of salt) and try to keep my watch away from water as much as possible. Unless your watch is specifically a sports watch designed for water sports, there is no reason it should be keeping any frequent appointments with moisture.

The face has a crystal bezel around it for a little extra sparkle. It is a very nice looking watch (as my husband commented over my shoulder) and for this price it is certainly a bargain buy.

Roots Canada: 30% Off Watches & Hats

Posted by on August 8, 2013 at 5:30 PM

Roots Canada: 30% Off Watches & Hats

Roots Canada is offering 30% off watches and 30% off hats for men and women, with free shipping on orders of $75 or more.

The prices of the watches range from $175 all the way down to $45 before the extra discount. After discount, the watches range from $122.50 down to $31.50. Style is always personal.

As for the men’s caps, you have your choice of the trucker, racer, or baseball style. They also have one Sandbanks Bucket Hat that was $30, but after the 30% off it comes down to $21.

Roots Canada: 30% Off Watches & HatsThe women’s watches get much more expensive than their male counterparts. Their watches range in price from $249 down to $35 pre-discount… or $174.30 to $24.50 after discount. Again, style is very personal, so have a look-see if you need a watch.

The women’s hat sale is pretty much just trucker hats and the same bucket hat I mentioned above. The trucker hats are more colourful for the girls, fancy that.

Now for the bad. What I don’t like about the watch sale: as of August 6th, all watches are final sale and do not come with a warranty – which makes me awfully nervous. Why would you not warranty your own product? Even for a month, a week, or the year it is supposed to have, minimum? Have you no faith in your own product anymore? The watches now become buyer’s risk, and I don’t like that. I think that is the most idiotic thing I have seen Roots Canada do – ever.

So, if you are going to buy a watch, I suggest going cheap… really cheap. I’m talking $24 for a women’s and the $32 for the men’s watch, because if the watch (which is not under warranty) doesn’t work in six months, you will be less upset about a cheap watch than one of those $100+ watches.

Now, on the other side of that coin: I have owned two Roots Watches. Except for the occasional dead battery they were both very good watches. In fact I ‘lost’ my Roots watch on my trip to New Zealand a few years ago and found it over a year later in my camera bag still ticking happily away. That is what puzzles me; Roots watches, in my experience, are good – so why pull the warranty? Any thoughts?

Amazon Canada: 86% Off Invicta Watches

Amazon Canada: 86% Off Invicta Watches

Amazon Canada is offering 86% off  three colours of I Force Collection Invicta Watches this week only. There are several to choose from to suit your, or your man’s tastes.

Click here to shop @ Amazon Canada now

The following three watches are 86% off:

If your budget is under $100 for an amazing watch then this sale is just right for you. You can choose from blue/silver, blue/gold, or black/silver colour themes.

These watch faces tend to be fairly large – better for thick wrists. My husband can’t wear these because his wrist is fairly small and the watch is just too large and too heavy. However, my father can wear watches like these as his solid frame (and 6′ height) make the watch look natural. I bought a friend (also 6′) a watch of this size and it fit him well.

Enjoy free shipping on each watch as they cost over the $25 minimum.
