Walmart Canada: Lexar 32GB USB JumpDrive – Just $13

Posted by on September 15, 2014 at 9:00 AM

Walmart Canada: Lexar 32GB USB JumpDrive Just $13Heading back to school or know someone who is? Then the Lexar 32GB USB JumpDrive is definitely sure to come in handy, especially since it’s just $12.94 at Walmart right now. Even better is that you will also get absolutely free shipping on it without having to add any other filler items to your cart!

This Thursday, on September 18th 2014, Walmart will be launching their annual Anniversary Sale and right on cue, they have also recently released a flyer of upcoming deals. The event will only last a week, so I definitely recommend you either have a look at the upcoming deals or you check their site once the deals go live.

Browsing around the flyer, the Lexar 32GB USB JumpDrive definitely stood out to me because although it’s supposed to be $12.94 as part of Walmart’s Anniversary Sale, it looks as though this deal may have gone live sooner than expected as you can get it for this same price right now. Of course, there is a chance that it has been at this price for some time now but then again, this same USB is actually much more expensive everywhere else:

Admittedly, both the ones at Future Shop and Best Buy are actually purple instead of orange but given the colour makes absolutely zero different, especially when it comes to saving money, I included those anyways. Plus, all of the stores mentioned above also have minimum order requirements for free shipping that are anywhere from $20 to $45, thus making Walmart’s deal that much sweeter.

As with any product, there are a couple of unhappy customers that didn’t like this USB but first of all, at just $13, it’s definitely a great deal for its size and second of all, there is also something to be said for the fact that this nifty little USB actually boasts over 60 reviews with a general consensus of 3.7 stars out of 5 with reviews like this one:

The Lexar USB Jumpdrive I ordered has worked great for what I needed it for.Lots of extra storage. The delivery was quick and no hassles. This was my first time ordering online with Walmart and I was really happy with the results.

No matter what you need a USB for, always remember to double and triple back anything important, especially if it’s something for school or any other important document!

WalMart Canada: PS3 500 GB Super Slim System With The Last Of Us | Was $270 Now $219

Posted by on September 15, 2014 at 6:28 AM

WalMart Canada: PS3 500 GB Super Slim System With The Last Of Us | Was $270 Now $219

Have you been waiting for the perfect opportunity to purchase a Sony PS3 system? This may be your lucky day, especially if you love having plenty of hard drive space with your video game systems! At WalMart, you can order a 500 GB The Last Of Us PS3 system bundle for just $219! The regular price of this system is $269.99, and even if you buy the cheaper version of the Playstation 3 for $199.99, it doesn’t come with any games, and the hard drive only has 12 GB of storage space. In other words, if you’re looking to indulge in some PS3 gaming goodness, this is the system you’ll want! You’ll also get free shipping!

This 500 GB PS3 system bundle comes with the highly acclaimed game The Last Of Us, which should please gamers that are looking to finally own a PS3 system. Since you’ll have plenty of storage space with this particular system, you’ll also be able to download plenty of free game demos, videos, and all those other goodies that you can check out once you connect your system to the internet.

I finally bit the figurative bullet and bought a PS3 system earlier this year, and even though I already own an Xbox 360 and a Wii U, I have no regrets! After all, even though there are a high number of games that have been released for both the 360 and the PS3 (*cough the sports games *cough), there are many unique franchises for the PS3 that I enjoy, such as Ratchet & Clank, Little Big Planet, and of course, The Last Of Us.

Another great bonus is the fact that PS3 systems can play blu rays, so if you’re looking to have an extra movie player that also doubles as a video game system, this is it. If you have a 3D TV set, it can also play 3D blu ray movies (and plenty of other multimedia files). Not a bad feature for a video game system!

This system bundle costs $269.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop, so this is a great deal. I’ve included a snippet of a unique review from WalMart about this PS3 system bundle, which you can read below:

This is the first gaming system I have ever bought. I never was into gaming but at 47 years old, I thought I would give it a try… I enjoy my PS3 very much!! It’s got so much more than just gaming, with the free movies, shows, and Netflix as well!. I could see right away why people are into the Sony PS3. It’s a must have for every household. This Sony PS3 system makes me fall in love with my TV again!

This likely won’t remain in stock for very long, so get this system while you can! Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

WalMart Canada: Rocksmith 2014 For The Xbox 360 | Was $70 Now $35

Posted by on September 13, 2014 at 11:56 PM

WalMart Canada: Rocksmith 2014 For The Xbox 360 | Was $70 Now $35

Tired of Guitar Hero and Rockband? It’s cool – everyone else is, too. However, a revolutionary game out there that allows you to literally plug in an actual electric guitar into your video game system is Rocksmith. For a limited time, you can pick up Rocksmith 2014 for the Xbox 360 for just $34.96 – the regular price is $70. That’s 50% off! Plus, you’ll get free shipping.

Whether you’re a beginner that wants to try and learn how to play an electric guitar, or an expert that wants to jam to dozens of popular tracks, Rocksmith 2014 will keep you satisfied. This version of the game includes the cord that you need to plug in any electric guitar into your Xbox 360 system.

I’ve never tried any Rocksmith games before. It does sound like a fun game, so I hope to try it out sometime soon. I tried to play the guitar on several occasions when I was younger, but I just couldn’t “cut the mustard” (in other words – no one wanted to be around when I was practicing).

Regardless of my mediocre guitar playing abilities, I think this game is very intriguing. At Best Buy and Future Shop, Rocksmith 2014 retails for $74.95. Listed below is a snippet of a review of the game from a satisfied Best Buy customer:

I know it’s generous to give a 5 out of 5 rating, but in my opinion this game deserves it. The thing I really appreciate is the fact that there’s lessons for those who never played guitar, which really teaches you the basics and much more. Aside from that, the gameplay experience is just great and easy to understand.

I highly recommend getting Rocksmith 2014 for the Xbox 360 before it’s out of stock (like the PS3 version of the game). Good luck, Bargainmoosers!

WalMart Canada: Gordon Ramsay Everyday 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker | Was $70 Now $39

WalMart Canada: Gordon Ramsay Everyday 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker | Was $70 Now $39

If you don’t want to be yelled at by Gordon Ramsay, you need to purchase his coffee maker! Just kidding, Bargainmoosers – I’m sure he’s a very happy man when cameras aren’t around, especially since he continues to make piles of money from all of his sponsorship deals! Today at WalMart, you can take advantage of a nominal “rollback” – you can get a Gordon Ramsay Everyday 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker for just $39 (the regular price is $69.98). Plus, you’ll get free shipping with this deal! I’m sure Gordon would love this bargain!

This 12-cup coffee maker has some versatility. It has a 24 hour programmable timer, an LCD display, and even a removable brew basket. Thankfully, this coffee maker won’t scold you if you take too long to make your coffee! That’s right – I just had to make another Gordon Ramsay joke.

Within the past year, I’ve grown especially fond of coffee. In fact, I currently own 3 coffee makers! It may be excessive, but when you find great deals for a Tassimo,a Dolce Gusto, and a Keurig machine, it can be too enticing to pass up on any of them. Plus, having a coffee maker can help prevent you from waiting in those long, never-ending Tim Hortons line ups every morning!

The Gordon Ramsay Everyday 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker typically costs $55.95 on Amazon’s American site (I couldn’t find it on the Canadian version of Amazon). I’ve included a brief review from a satisfied WalMart customer below:

I’m so happy I purchased this coffee maker. It works perfectly and fits nicely on the counter without taking up too much space. This machine makes an excellent cup of coffee and is worth every penny!

If you’re looking for a coffee maker with a familiar name, the Gordon Ramsay Everyday 12 Cup Programmable Coffee Maker is a good choice. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

WalMart Canada: Kodiak 15.6″ Laptop Backpack Was $29 | Now $10

Posted by on September 11, 2014 at 12:00 PM

WalMart Canada: Kodiak 15.6 Laptop Backpack Was $29 | Now $10

WalMart has an enticing offer for those that are looking for a comfortable and safe way to travel with their laptop computer. For a limited time, you can get a Kodiak 15.6″ laptop backpack for just $10 – the regular price of this handy laptop backpack is $29 – so you are saving $19! You will also receive free shipping on your order at Walmart. With school back in session, it is the perfect time to take care of your laptop and the perfect time to save some money!

With a reliable laptop backpack, you can safely carry your laptop anywhere you need to go. This is especially useful for students, who tend to be on the go at all times. Whether you are riding on a bus, walking around campus, or heading home after a long day at work, this Kodiak laptop backpack can certainly help you out.

Before having a laptop bag, I used to use a leather sleeve to hold my portable computer. When I would be riding on the subway in Downtown Toronto, it would be a bit of a pain to carry around with me. I essentially looked like I was carrying a giant folder with me, and it wasn’t too comfortable to hold when I had to walk around the city.

I eventually purchased a generic laptop backpack, and it made my laptop that much easier to carry around with me! Best of all, a laptop backpack can provide your portable computer with some much needed cushioning – and you can also fit some other things in there as well!

I couldn’t find any other online locations that were selling the Kodiak laptop backpack, but if you purchase a Swiss Gear 15.6″ laptop backpack at Future Shop, it’ll cost you $39.99 (and it’s on sale, too). Even though no customer reviews are available for the Kodiak 15.6″ laptop backpack, I can say from experience that no matter what the brand is, having a laptop backpack is better than not having one.

Grab one of these laptop backpacks before they are out of stock! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Walmart Canada: LEGO Helicopter Rescue Only $55 (Was $75)

Posted by on September 10, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Walmart Canada: LEGO Helicopter Rescue Only $55 (Was $75)

It looks Walmart is clearing out a huge batch of Lego sets right now and you can take advantage by getting some great sets for clearance prices. One set I found notable was the helicopter rescue, which was $74.86 and now only $55, which is savings of $20. Of course, you’ll also get free shipping.

With Christmas going to pop its little head up soon (hey, it is soon, it has even already snowed!), you might be thinking about Christmas gifts for the kids. Lego is just such a perfect gift for boys and girls, especially ones you don’t know what they like because I think everyone loves Lego.

This set includes a hospital, ambulance, helicopter and minifigures. It is quite the cute set for the child who loves to be the hero. I personally would have loved this set as a kid because I have a fascination with hospitals (and airports). I love the organized chaos that you see in a hospital or airport and would have loved role playing trauma situations. There are many positive reviews on this set, but the only notable downside was that they say it is small for a hospital, but I would assume a larger hospital set would go for about $150-$200.

This hospital was a good set! I love the helicopter and bench. But I felt that the set was not complete with only 2 beds! And the sign that said A-06 meant that was only a part of the hospital which was A-06! still I think it was a good set otherwise! I love this hospital also because the little waiting room and the ambulance! The price was way better than the last hospital! Great (good) Set!

If this isn’t really your child’s thing, there are actually quite a few other sets also on clearance with large discounts.

If your kid is into Ninjago, check out this NinjaCopter, which is now only $40 and was $74.86. That’s a savings of over $35.

When I first did a search for LEGO and found many sets at amazing prices, I didn’t realize how many are already sold out. So, if you want this set or any of the other sets available online, I suggest you don’t wait because it could go out of stock as quickly as I am writing this. I know my kids would have loved the amazing deals on the Star Wars Lego, but I’ve already missed out. I hope no one here misses out on what they want!

WagJag Canada: $35 for a Walmart Portrait Package ($205 Value)

WagJag Canada: $35 for a Walmart Portrait Package ($205 Value)

WagJag Canada has a pretty awesome deal on right now by pairing with Walmart Canada. For a limited time only, you can get a Walmart portrait package for just $35 when the regular price would be $205.

By getting this deal, you will receive a voucher towards this package at Walmart Canada so you will just pay $35 instead of the total value of $205.  That is a savings of 83%. The voucher will be valid until October 31st 2014 so make sure to set up an appointment with your local Walmart once you purchase this deal.

There are no additional charges because this is a voucher.  That means the tax is included and since the voucher is emailed to you, there are no shipping fees.

Here is what you will get this package deal:

  • Four enhanced portrait sheets
  • One 10″x13″ enhanced wall portrait
  • 10 4″x8″ slimline greeting cards
  • Single image hi-res CD
  • Additional 50% discount off regular-priced studio merchandise

There is a limit of two buys per person, but you may buy three more as gifts. The good thing about it is that it is no limited to just one person per portrait like some companies. You can have up to 10 people in your pictures for this deal.

This is perfect timing because you can get a head start on your Christmas gifts.  My family loves to get pictures and photo gifts so thinking ahead and grabbing a deal like this is perfect.  I can get family pictures taken and give them in nice picture frames to all of the grandparents as Christmas gifts this year.  On top of that, I have nice family pictures for my own house!

I love that you also get an additional 50% discount off regular-priced studio merchandise because you can grab some inexpensive picture frames or photo albums to go with all of the pictures you will be getting. I also like that you will get the pictures on a CD as well.  This way you can print off any pictures you would like in the future very quickly.  Those CDs usually cost an arm and a leg because of this reason and it is included, which is awesome.

Walmart Canada: Milano Wall Furniture System with Mount $100 (Save $48)

Posted by on September 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM

Walmart Canada: Milano Wall Furniture System with Mount $100 (Save $48)

Walmart Canada is selling this sleek and compact Milano Wall Furniture System with Integrated Mount for just $100, discounted from $148. In my local stores, this unit actually costs $154 right now.

This is all you could want in an entertainment system.  The shelves are tempered glass and will display your brand new PS4, your old PS3 or Xbox, or whatever system you have along with games, ornaments and more. Evidently, though I cannot find it in the picture, the stand has a side storage compartment that is ideal for DVDs or Blu-Rays. The back of the stand has a deep espresso finish.

Attached to this stand and rising above is a TV mount that can accommodate most 26” to 42” flat panel televisions with a maximum weight of 80 lbs. The TV mount features a tilt mechanism for optimal viewing without straining your neck.

There are so many reasons why this stand is awesome. First off all: it is an all in one stand. You can have your DVD player and gaming consoles on the shelves, store your games and DVDs in the side compartment, and mount your TV on the top. Secondly, this unit gets your TV off a lower stand where it can be bumped into by children, pets, and even adults. It reduces the risk of damage to a very expensive piece of electronic equipment. Third, and this one is very important for renters, the stand appears to (correct me if I am wrong) elevate and mount your television without having to screw the mount into the wall. For anyone renting (I know this feeling all too well), most proprietors are not too happy about many screw holes in their walls – especially any at eye level. This stand eliminates the need to mount your television directly to the wall. It is also great for apartments where your TV wall happens to be concrete and you cannot screw into it.

While writing this I overheard my neighbor complaining that she woke up this morning to find her cat on top of her wall-mounted TV. Therefore, this unit might not be cat friendly if you have an ambitious little furball who loves to climb.

Overall, I think this is a marvelous deal on this kind of stand. You will also receive free shipping on this stand directly to your home. For such a large piece, that is nice.

Walmart Canada: Home Trends Storage Bench $68 (Save $31)

Posted by on September 7, 2014 at 4:30 PM

Walmart Canada: Home Trends Storage Bench $68 (Save $31)

Walmart Canada has a sale on a Home Trends Storage Bench in brown. Originally $99, the Hone Trends bench is on sale for $68 and comes with free shipping.

The bench is covered in brown faux leather and the top features padding for comfort whether you have your feet up on it or are using it as extra seating for guests. I am sure your cat or dog will even appreciate the added padding when they stretch out on their new bed (so they think). The solid wood legs with an espresso finish offer support and a place to find stray toys.

The hinged top gives you easy access to the storage compartment, which is 18” wide by 39.75” deep by 22.25” high. Use the compartment to store toys, games, throws, throw pillows, magazines, or whatever else you do not need at hand’s reach at all times. I have an old steamer trunk that is quite similar, I use it for storing blankets and clothing that is out of season (like sweaters in summer).

Overall, the Home Trends Storage Bench has good reviews by commentators. One reviewer says:

I’m very happy with this ottoman. It’s very stylish, the hinge is very stable and sturdy, and the faux leather is thick and resistant to scratch marks. Overall, great value for money! I highly recommend it!

I like the resistance to scratch marks. With a cat in the house, it is important to invest in furniture that can handle his claws without giving in. Another reviewer said:

Color is very dark. We have black leather couches and it doesn’t stand out. Sturdy.

I am not a big fan of brown (love back); this is a big bonus for me. My husband came with a brown couch and a brown loveseat that were in better condition than my furniture so I currently live with brown. However, if the brown is dark enough it does not stand out against black I might just be fine with it.

There is very little assembly to do. You essentially stick the feet onto the box and you are pretty much done. With such busy houses, these days crammed full of everything you need and then everything you want, this ottoman is a great option for a little extra storage where it is needed.

Receive free shipping on any order at Walmart Canada.

Walmart Canada: 6 Station Swing Set Just $90 (save $44)

Posted by on September 5, 2014 at 11:00 PM

Walmart Canada: 6 Station Swing Set Just $90 (save $44)

Summer is over and most the kids are back in school (unless you live in BC where parents are positively pulling their hair out with the strike). However, that does not mean that outdoor fun needs to end. Pick up this six-station swing set from Walmart Canada for just $90 with free shipping and save yourself $44 off the original price of $134.

This set safely allows six children to play on it at one time granted that each child not weigh over 100 lbs for a cumulative maximum weight of 600 lbs. The swing set includes two swinging seats, one roman glider, one metal trapeze, and one three-piece five-foot long wavy slide in yellow and blue with ladder. There appears to be some flexibility in the configuration (where everything goes) as, between the two pictures shown, not everything is in the same place.

For stability and safety, you really need to anchor down this swing set. Anchors are not included, but creative minds and handy-people should be able to make their own or re-purpose something in their garage to work. If all else fails, you could just cement the feet into large concrete blocks! The frame itself is made of powder coated heavy duty steel.

Enjoy soft touch chain guards for extra safety and added comfort on the hands of kids. I was not raised with chain guards, so more than once I have stuck my finger into a chain-link merely to have it pinched as the chain moved.

This is a good backyard setup at a great price. It is big enough for your children to have a few friends over and it can handle their weight as they grow. Check out this reviewer’s comments:

Delivery of this item was prompt and the packaging is surprisingly smaller than you’d expect. Assembly is a 2 person job for best results and takes a couple hours. We noticed that the plastic caps used to cover screw and bolt heads were pretty cheap and broke apart easily. The slide seems a bit small for any child over 2-3 years old. My 2 year old has lots of fun with it though. The crossbeam allows for toddler seats to be installed [...] Overall pretty sturdy and it looks nice.

Read the rest of this review, and others, on Walmart Canada. This set ships to your home for free.

Walmart Canada: Conair Women’s Twin Head Epilator Was $80 Now $40 (Expired)

Posted by on September 4, 2014 at 11:00 AM

Walmart Canada: Conair Womens Twin Head Epilator Was $80 Now $40 (Expired)

If you’ve been looking for an affordable epilator, now’s your chance to get one that’s manufactured by an established brand. Previously retailing for $80, you can get a Conair women’s twin head epilator for $40 – that’s 50% off! You also get free shipping – not bad, eh? These clearance items on Walmart’s website are moving quickly, so act quickly before it’s gone.

According to the product description, this Conair women’s twin head epilator can help you have quick and pain-free hair removal, thanks to its 30 – tweezer head. It’s technically a 3 in 1 device, since it can be used as an epilator, bikini line trimmer, and shaver. The heads are also removable and water washable.

Normally retailing for $80 at Walmart, this particular epilator can also be found at Novatechgadgets for $120. At $40, Walmart is certainly leading the pack!

Personally, I can’t speak from experience, since I have never used an epilator, but there are many women out there who can, so I’m going to leave you with some customer reviews. These Walmart customers have used this Conair twin head epilator, and would be able to describe their experiences with this product much better than I would be able to.

My very 1st epilator, I am very pleased with this little machine. Yeah, it does hurt a litttle, but it really leaves your skin silky smooth. Its easy to use, and I like the idea of interchangeable epilator and shaving heads (I’m not quite ready for armpits yet). I paid half price in store, which was also an added bonus. Very pleased with my purchase.

I really like this epilator, but it is the first one I have ever owned. My hair did not come back for 3 weeks under my arms and 2 weeks on my legs. It sure beats shaving.

I hope this deal will help out my fellow Bargainmoosers! Happy hunting!

Walmart: Super Mario 3D Land For Nintendo 3DS Was $35 Now $20 (Expired)

Walmart: Super Mario 3D Land For Nintendo 3DS Was $35 Now $20 (Expired)

It’s time to dive into yet another super deal for Mario fans! At Walmart, you can get Mario’s action packed portable adventure, Super Mario 3D Land, for your Nintendo 3DS for just $19.94 – that’s $15 off of the regular price of $35. You’ll also get free shipping! I bought this game when I apprehensively purchased a Nintendo 3DS system several years ago, and it definitely made me a happy owner of the portable system with an intriguing 3 dimensional screen.

Whether you’re looking for a fun game that will help you pass some time when you’re bored, or if you’re a long time Mario fan that just can’t get enough of that virtual Italian plumber in overalls, you’ll definitely have a fun experience with Super Mario 3D Land. It will provide you with plenty of thrills, levels, and secrets to find. If you have a Nintendo 3DS and you don’t own this game yet, do yourself a favour and order it from Walmart at this discounted price while it’s still available.

I first became acquainted with Mario when I played Super Mario Bros. for the original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). From a young age, I loved video games – especially the Mario series. Whether he made appearances in puzzle games like Dr.Mario, sport games like Mario Tennis (I originally had this for the ill fated Virtual Boy system – I still get headaches when I think about that thing), or multiplayer games like Mario Party, this iconic character has millions of fans that span across the globe.

I brought my 3DS with me when I headed for a trip with some friends to Cuba. Mario 3D Land was the game I decided to bring with me, and it easily helped me pass the time while we flew to our vacation destination. Don’t worry, though – I didn’t play any video games while I was in Cuba!

Super Mario 3D Land usually costs $35 at Best Buy and Future Shop, so you’re saving a decent amount by getting it from Walmart. Listed below are two brief reviews of this great game from satisfied Best Buy customers:

This game is so fun, challenging, but not too hard for my 8 year old to play. She doesn’t get super frustrated. She loves it!

This is the second best Mario game I have ever played! First one? Of course Mario 64! Truly recommend!

I recommend that you take advantage of this deal while you can – after all, Mario games are very popular! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers! This game will ship to you for free.

Walmart Canada: Select Hooded Towels Now $8 (Was $15)

Posted by on August 29, 2014 at 8:30 PM

Walmart Canada: Select Hooded Towels Now $8 (Was $15)Walmart Canada has a sweet little clearance sale on children’s hooded towels. Originally $14.97, they are now on sale for just $8 with free shipping.

There are six hooded towels still available online. You may be able to get the others in store if you are shopping at your local Walmart this weekend.

First off, we have the Fairies Purple Hooded towel with Tinkerbell in the middle and plenty of beautiful flowers and butterflies around. These towels are about 13×11″ in size and perfect for younger children. Another purple coloured towel, The Princess Sofia Hooded Towel has the princess, a lovely castle in the background, and a blue bird adorning it. The hood portion also features the shadow of a bird. For any young one smitten with the Disney princesses, the Princess Bridge Hooded Towel is just the thing for them. You get three princesses all at once: Belle from Beauty and The Beast, Cinderella from her own movie, and Rapunzel from Tangled. You also get a carriage pulled by horses, a bridge, and a castle. The hood portion has a cute little crown/tiara on it that says ‘princess’ underneath.

A couple other towels lean a little more towards children interested in fast cars and super heroes. First of all, The Avengers Hulk hooded towel will probably be a favourite because the towel itself is printed like Hulk’s muscles and (of course) the towel is very green. Your child will run around the house doing their imitation of a Hulk smash (which may, or may not be a good idea) with this towel. Next, there is the Cars Chevron hooded towel with Lightning Mcqueen on the back.

While the above are all Disney towels, there is one in the sale that stands as an outlier. The Angry Birds Hooded Towel by Rovio Entertainment is designed after the popular smartphone app. let children play their own angry bird with this red towel that has the angry bird face on the hood.

I loved hooded towels when I was a young one, and I am not sure there is a child that does not. They need to make these for adults because my hubby would enjoy the Angry Birds towel; he played all those games for hours on end. I think the Princess Sofia towel is pretty; it is probably my favourite.

This game normally retails for $44.99 at big box locations like Staples, so this deal will help you save approximately $15.05!

As a nineties/millennial kid (don’t worry, I was able to enjoy a small taste of the eighties as well), it was hard not to hear about the critically acclaimed PC game series known as Diablo. Usually uttered within the same sentence as other PC classics such as Myst, Doom, and Command And Conquer: Red Alert, the Diablo series began back in 1996, when CD-ROM drives in computers were actually considered a luxury. I didn’t end up getting a PC with a CD-ROM drive until 1998, when I was lucky enough to share a Pentium 1 computer with the rest of my family. I mean, listening to music while using your computer at the same time was a novel yet thoroughly enjoyable concept at the time!

Anyway, the Diablo series really exploded by the time its sequel, Diablo II was released in the year 2000. Everyone and their cousin seemed to be addicted to this game, and it was easy to see why – game review magazines and websites raved about it, and it even ended up having a slew of expansion packs released for several years.

Diablo III Reaper Of Souls normally retails for $44.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop, so you’re saving $15.05 in total. Not bad at all! It’s also getting some high praise from reviewers like Metacritic, which has the game ranked at 87 out of 100. Here’s a snippet of a review from Gameblog:

Diablo III: Reaper of Souls is a great experience and an excellent add – on to Diablo III. With the Adventure mode and Nephalem’s Rift, Blizzard erases almost perfectly every inherent problems of Hack’n Slash games. It’s actually quite difficult to find real defects in this add – on.

I always preferred the Diablo series over Blizzard’s other franchises such as World Of Warcraft and Starcraft. However, I still have to say that my favourite game of theirs is The Lost Vikings, an oldie but a goodie for the Super Nintendo. Regardless, this is one heck of a deal for Diablo fans, so grab it while you can!
