ROXX Skullz Game Was $18 Now $5 @ Walmart (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 19, 2014 at 1:02 PM

ROXX Skullz Game Was $18 Now $5 @ Walmart (EXPIRED)

Holiday time means family game nights! ROXX Skullz Game Was $18 Now $5  Shipping is free with no minimum at Walmart.

The first thing to know about this ROXX Skullz game is this is an active game. You are going to want to clear a spot on the floor to play this game. With this ROXX Skullz game 2-6 players are playing head to head. You will enjoy learning new TRIXX while you collect ROXX pieces. There is also an option to play freestyle and practice TRIXX on the cards or come up with your own new TRIXX. The TRIXX goals usually include flipping or sliding your ROXX into a target.
The set comes with:

  • 6 target cups
  • Game mat
  • 6 Roxx
  • 6 Trixx cards
  • Instructions
  • Collectors Checklist to collect all the styles of ROXX

I think the real winning point with this game is the freestyle practice. I can imagine kids having fun challenging each other to flip or slide their pieces a certain way. “No Ben you have to avoid the number 5 and land your ROXX into the red cup only.” Now the rules have changed let’s aim for the green cup now. I like making up the rules to the game as I go along. I also like that it requires a little bit of creativity to come up with new rules once you have gotten the hand of the TRIXX included with the set.

Another great bonus to this game is it does not include any batteries at all. We will be noisy enough in our house as we practice shooting and sliding. Ka-bam! I just landed my ROXX in the red target again. Sometime it is nice to step away from the electronic games for a bit and play a game that everyone gets involved in. I see this game as a huge hit at a sleepover, family game night or even a birthday party.

The ROXX themselves are collectible. Each one comes with its own unique artwork on the piece. If your kid or family really gets into this game, I can see how it would be fun to trade the pieces back and forth. Make sure my set comes with a piece that has a skull with a star on it and I will be sure to win. No the lightening piece does not come with a special power except for my own super flipping powers when I crush you playing this game. You can see the game in action at this video from Time to Play Magazine.

For the same game at Sears you’ll pay $13.49. Amazon must think this game is gold because they want to charge you $34.40 for the same game. Pick this one up at Walmart.

G2 Women’s Cover Up Tank Only $1 @! * HOT! *

Posted by on December 18, 2014 at 9:32 AM

G2 Womens Cover Up Tank Only $1 @! * HOT! *

Tank tops make excellent stocking stuffers. Wrap them in a unique way and put them in a stocking and they will never see what is coming. has a hot offer on tank tops perfect for the occasion. While quantities are available, you can purchase the G2 Womens Cover Up Tank for only $1 from Walmart Canada!

Stock will not last long on this zinger of a deal, so choose your preferred colour and add it to your cart. This G2 Womens Cover Up Tank from Walmart is only $1 and comes in 3 different colours. Choose from black, orange and sky blue. This tank top was previously $5.94 which was already pretty reasonable, but I can’t resist a $1 cover up top! These tops are great to wear with leggings or skinny jeans.

At the time of this post, the black tank top had all sizes except medium available while the orange and blue versions are limited to one or two sizes left (large, medium for blue and extra small, small for orange). Reviews say that this top is longer than usual, but that is to be expected from a cover up tank top in my personal opinion.

This shirt reminds me of summer and I just want to grab a tropical drink and sit by the beach while wearing it. The easy pull over style would even make it convenient to wear over your bikini. always ships for free, which is a great added bonus to this already hot offer. I mean, where else can you get a tank top for only $1 that ships for free?

Here is one of the reviews from

Not understanding why people are complaining that the item is too long. It’s a cover up, ladies. I’m 5’6 and ordered a large so that it would be baggy. It reaches mid thigh, the back of the shirt is longer making it asymetrical. It’s flattering and does what it’s supposed to do. I bought a couple for sleeping in and a couple for lounging around the house/pool in the summer!

Reviews also say that this shirt is made a little big, so I would suggest ordering a size smaller than normal. I am normally a medium and added a couple of the black G2 Cover Up Tank Tops in size small to my cart.

SUPER HOT! Crayola Digital Light Designer Only $10 & Free Shipping @ Walmart! Quick! (EXPIRED)

SUPER HOT! Crayola Digital Light Designer Only $10 & Free Shipping @ Walmart! Quick! (EXPIRED)

While browsing Walmart for new clearance items first thing this morning, I spotted a deal on this Crayola Digital Light Designer. It looked like a mediocre deal, being just half price as marked on the Walmart site. But upon doing a price comparison, I saw that this was a much hotter price than expected – I’ll explain this below. Right now, you can click through to Walmart and pick up one of these for only $10 with free shipping.

As we’ve seen in the last few weeks, hot sale items on clearance at Walmart can sometimes sell out within minutes – if you are interested in this Crayola Digital Light Designer, buy it NOW and think later.

Why I think this is such a hot deal – let’s look at the prices elsewhere.

  • $49.99 @
  • $34.98 @ Toys R Us Canada
  • $39.99 @ Sears
  • $47.95 @ Mastermind Toys
  • $30 @ London Drugs
  • $95 @

See!? The Walmart price is fabulous. If you want to know if it will be at your door in time for Christmas, pop the item in your shopping cart and add your postcode and Walmart shows you the estimated delivery date.

If you want to know a bit more about this Crayola toy, here’s a little video.

It’s cute! I would have loved one of these when I was a young child. I simply adore all things Crayola.

Walmart: Disney Sound Soothers Were $50 | Now $19.97

Posted by on December 17, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Walmart: Disney Sound Soothers Were $50 | Now $19.97

Walmart Canada is selling Disney Sound Soothers by Cloud B for just $19.97 with free shipping, originally $47.97 to $49.97.

Sound soothers are plush toys with a removable sound box in them that runs on batteries. Two AA batteries are included with each toy. Each toy plays three different melodies that will sooth your child and send them off to sleep. You have a choice of three Sound Soother characters:

I just adore the baby Dumbo as I elephants are one of my favourite animals. I only own like five elephant plushies already so this Dumbo would feel right at home. Each sound soother p appears to play

  • Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
  • Spring Showers
  • Gentle Breeze

Walmart is not the only company that has put these on sale. Amazon Canada also has them for the same price, but one was out of stock and they had less than 10 in stock for the others [1 of Pooh, 6 of Dumbo, Simba OOS] so I am blogging this from Walmart instead. In addition, with Walmart you receive free shipping no minimum whereas at Amazon one toy would not qualify for free shipping. This is a significant price drop no matter where you buy the toys, so it was worth blogging.

While there are no reviews on Walmart, reviews on other websites are super positive. This mother said:

my daughter is only 4 months so she doesn’t play with it much yet. But it does put her right to sleep at night especially the last song I am not sure what it is but she goes right to sleep with that song on.

There are many more reviews like that from satisfied parents.

Now, the sound soothers are the best deal but you can also purchase the Star Soothers on sale from $52.97 – $64.97 marked down to only $24.97. Choose from Dumbo The Elephant Stars, Winnie The Pooh Baby Star, or Simba Baby Star Soothers. The best deal is on Dumbo as that set was originally $64.97 and is now $24.97 whereas the other ones were originally $52.97. As the name suggests, starry soothers transform your child’s room into a starry night sky. You can change colours to suit your child’s preference. I think these would make fantastic gifts!

These toys are all on clearance so quantities are limited and they may sell out at any time.

StormTrooper Stool Was $55 | Now Only $28 @ (EXPIRED)

StormTrooper Stool Was $55 | Now Only $28 @ (EXPIRED)

Growing up with three brothers, I can’t even begin to tell you how many times I have heard the expression “May the force be with you”.  Now, you can have that saying in your household with this deal from Walmart Canada! You can purchase this fully licensed StormTrooper Stool for only $28, which was regularly $54.88.

This StormTrooper stool is clearance priced at $28 from Walmart and is already limited in quantity, so if this is a purchase you want to make, do so. This officially licensed stool is about 50% off the regular price. The Darth Vader Stool was also on sale for this price but has already been sold out.

This looks like more of an automotive type stool to me, but it may also be excellent for the man cave, gaming rooms or other areas of the household. It is the standard workbench height so could also be great just as a garage stool. It does not swivel, though. The top is made of a vinyl covering that is thick and designed to result in a comfortable seat. This stool may take some assembly upon arriving at your door, but it should be easy and come with instructions as well.

I couldn’t find this StormTrooper Stool at any other online Canadian retailer, so if you want to purchase this stool in Canada I would get it from Walmart while you still can. I did find it at Home Depot in the US for $45 and Ebay as well. I would complete this purchase now so that you don’t have to order from the states to get it later, as that would be more costly!

There is one five star review for this StormTrooper Stool:

We got this StormTrooper garage stool to go with our Darth Vadar and Boba Fett stools that we purchased. This product arrived very fast and it was cheaper than our other stools. We love it and it looks great. In fact, it is always the first think someone comments on when visiting our home. also has the best shipping option around – always free. This applies to tiny and large products, with no minimum spend. Walmart Canada’s shipping is typically fast too, so you still have the chance to receive this item in time for Christmas.

You can view more stores with free shipping & no minimum spend in our forum.

FREE Portrait Package @ Walmart Canada ($144 Value)

Posted by on December 16, 2014 at 12:47 PM

FREE Portrait Package @ Walmart Canada ($144 Value)

This deal is so hot it is really off the charts! Walmart Canada is offering a free Portrait package worth $144 for you and your family.

You can also print the coupon through the main link. In your free portrait package you will receive:

  • One (1) 11×14″ Wall Portrait
  • One (1) 8×10″ print
  • Two (2) 5×7″ prints
  • Four (4) 3½x5″ prints
  • Ten (10) 4×8″ Greeting Cards
  • Fifteen (15) photo gift tags

You get all of this absolutely for free. I think this is one of my favourite freebies this year because it is just so useful! For your photos, you can choose one pose. There are various enhancements and backgrounds you can choose for your pictures as well.

Now, if you click through the first link above and share the free deal with three of your friends, Walmart will send you a free 16×20″ wall portrait worth $69.99. You will need to fill out your email address as well as the email addresses of three friends and check the box that says:

Yes, I would like you to email me the FREE 16×20 Wall Portrait and other great offers. You can easily unsubscribe at anytime. See our Privacy Policy or contact us below.

It is that simple. That brings your total value up to somewhere around $200 for the free photo package. You can book your appointment via the website so all you need to do is show up with the kids freshly scrubbed and ready. The package is valid for multiple subjects in studio only. You can find Walmart Portrait locations through the store locator here.

This is pretty much the same as the Sears Free portrait package that Margarita mentioned yesterday. Of course, you should get both packs, as they are both free!

The husband and I have not had pictures taken since our wedding, which was 4 and 1/2 years ago. I think this might be a great opportunity to update our photos and send some out to family and friends. I know my mother would be ecstatic to receive fresh photos and she would probably put one up on the piano or the fridge.

Walmart reserves the right to end this promotion at any time.

Hot! Little Tikes Kitchen Was $50 Now $30 & Free Shipping @! (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 16, 2014 at 9:32 AM

Hot! Little Tikes Kitchen Was $50 Now $30 & Free Shipping @! (EXPIRED)

Wow! If you want a play kitchen for your kid, this is a hot deal! Right now Walmart has a Little Tikes Kids Kitchen in neutral colours for only $30 with free shipping.

Looking around the web this is an amazing deal for a small kitchen set for your kid. This kitchen set is in neutral colours. It has over 25 accessories including:

  • Play smart phone
  • Fridge and oven that open
  • Extra storage area cabinet
  • Clicking knobs
  • Pretend sink
  • Multiple plates, silverware, a pot and a few other cooking accessories

It does not include play food but that is easy enough to find on the cheap. Kids also turn everything into pretend food easily. I think every toy my kid has owned has found its way into the toy fridge, oven or stove.

This is not a fancy kid’s kitchen. Here is a secret though- your kid probably does not care how fancy their play kitchen is. They are happy to play kitchen and even happier if they can feed you pretend strawberry cake with salami on top. You can be happy saving a little money in your pocket and eating pretend strawberry cake. Maybe buy them a few pieces of play food to go with it. Unless you are looking for one of the larger monster sized kitchens, this one will do the trick for most kids.

There is not much selection for kitchens in this price. Most of the kitchen play sets easily start at $70 and go up to well over $200. Amazon has a similar kitchen that is a Little Tikes BBQ Grill themed cook set for $54.99 with free shipping. It only comes with 7 little food and plate accessories which isn’t very many for imaginative play.

Sears has a Hello Kitty Classic Kitchen play set for $52.49  that has the moving sink and oven but does not come with accessories. This kitchen is pink from head to toe which often means your living room most likely is now pink from head to toe unless you are lucky enough to have a playroom. It does have the advantage of being wood and ultimately more durable. On the downside, if your kid doesn’t like Hello Kitty, it’s not for you.

No reviews are available on this product and it seems only Walmart sells it. I would take a chance on it for my kid. Most of the kitchen sets that are similarly priced seem to have very specific themes like I featured above. Open-ended play without a theme is a great place to start to see how much it’s played with, then look at the monster size kitchens if your kid is a cooking fanatic.

Hipstreet Titan 2 7″ Google Tablet ONLY $50 Plus Free Shipping @ Walmart Canada

Posted by on December 16, 2014 at 8:23 AM

Hipstreet Titan 2 7 Google Tablet ONLY $50 Plus Free Shipping @ Walmart Canada

The Hipstreet Titan 2 7” Google Certified Tablet is on clearance today from $54 to $49.92 @ Walmart plus free shipping. If you order it today, you should still have time have it in time for the holidays. This one may go quick.

Generally any tablet or electronic with Hipstreet in the title is not going to be the most powerful device you have ever owned. If you are looking for an inexpensive tablet to use the web without many bells and whistles this might be the perfect deal for you. Here is a few of the important specs.

  • 7” Touch Screen
  • 8 GB but expandable to 32 GB if you purchase an extra Micro SD card (not included)
  • Runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
  • Up to 1.2 GHz processor
  • Built in speaker, front facing camera and rechargeable battery
  • Google Play Store option
  • 10GB of free online cloud storage included

It’s not a terribly powerful device but it is expandable with a micro SD. Plus this device is Google certified so you’ll have app, movie and music options from the Google Play store.  If you just want to check e-mail, use Facebook and play a few games this device will do the trick. You can play a few movies on the go also if you do not mind a small screen, though I would recommend buying a SD card if that is what you have in mind.

This is the perfect device to hand to your kid. It’s inexpensive, has some game options and the ability to play a few movies if you expand the memory. While I do not advocate tons of screen time for kids, everything in moderation. Yeah OK, my kid has been potty training playing on a tablet- sometimes bribery works. You may want to make sure you have a good case also to keep that screen intact.

If you were dabbling with the idea of an e-reader but didn’t want to spend much, this is a good option also. You will not have the e-ink like you would in a Kobo or Kindle (which start at $65) but the Kindle and Kobo apps are available on the Google play store. I know some people do not like to read books on devices but for myself I find it extremely handy to have my books close. Especially that library book I was dying to read, it’s due already? (Our library lets us check out e-books, does yours?) I am much more likely to pick up a book for a quick 5 minutes if I always have it with me on my device.

Reviews are mixed on this device. Some people hate it others love it with the caveat of “for an inexpensive tablet.” One user has had one for a year now and it is still going strong for her kid to use.

Bought this for my daughter last year and honestly for the price it is awesome. You can download so many apps from Google play and we have not had any issues with it working. I do have to say the battery takes forever to charge, but small price to pay for such a cheap tablet.

Here is the price breakdown around the web for the same device.

  • $70 @ Future Shop
  • $70 @ Best Buy
  • $80 @ Staples
  • $100 @ The Source- but also includes a case
  • $120-$150 @ Amazon- depending on if you buy it from an outside seller or from Amazon directly

For the money you are paying, I would give this tablet a chance. Do not expect this table to run your small business, but as an entertainment device for really basic use this tablet will do the trick.

Expiry:  Will expire soon!

Spider-Man Dry Erase Table and Chair Set $20 @

Posted by on December 15, 2014 at 3:35 PM

Spider Man Dry Erase Table and Chair Set $20 @

Walmart Canada is selling the Spider-Man Dry Erase Table and Chair Set for just $20 on clearance. While the online price shows the set was $24.88, that price is also a sale price. All my local Walmart stores are selling the table and chair set for $39.97.

This set will sell out quickly as the other dry erase tables have already sold out at this price today.

I tried price comparing this unit but I could not find it at any of the other stores that sell this sort of stuff for kids. Sears, Amazon, and ToysRUs do not stock this table and chair set. However, when I did find anything like this it was priced way above Walmart’s price. A wooden set at Amazon costs like $200 – frightening!

The table and chair set has a folding table and two padded seats with patented Double Safety Locking Mechanisms for your child’s safety. It looks like the chairs fold up so they could stand flat against the wall or be tucked in beside a dresser or such. I am not sure how the table folds, but I assume the legs fold in somehow.

The table and chairs are brightly coloured in the blue and red Marvel Spider-Man theme. Your kid will love the large Spider-Man on the table itself. This table is an excellent purchase for children who still have difficulties colouring inside the lines – or even keeping it on the paper. There will be fewer headaches for Mom and happier children, as they will not get in trouble for scribbling on the table.

The table is recommended for ages three to seven years old. With the set of chairs and table, the set also comes with three dry-erase markers.

Customers are very pleased with the product as you can easily see:

Assembly is super easy. Looks very nice and shiny. Unexpectedly sturdy. Doesn’t look like a $20 item. Not suitable for kids 8 years or older as it is mentioned.

I got this for my 18 month old grandson. And he just loves it. It’s brightly colored, well cushioned and sturdy. I may buy another one to put away for when he wears this one out!!!

All the reviews are four to five stars except for one, where the reviewer said she couldn’t give it a proper review as it was a Christmas gift and still in the box.

Receive free shipping on all Walmart Canada purchases.

*BUMP* Walmart Canada: Hamilton Beach Wave Power Plus Blender Only $29

Posted by on December 15, 2014 at 10:40 AM

*BUMP* Walmart Canada: Hamilton Beach Wave Power Plus Blender Only $29

We wrote this post last summer when Walmart had this blender on for $36.77, with a regular price of $50. Well, its gone even lower down to $29, so we are bumping this in case you missed the first deal and want the even better price!

When I price compared, the regular Walmart price was already cheaper than other Canadian retailers, so this is a great deal.

You know what blenders are great for? Blender drinks! And smoothies I guess. I do make smoothies often, and actually it is a ritual that my two year old and I have. After the gym, I make a smoothie with the works – greens, yogurt, coconut water, chia and flax seeds, protein powder and frozen berries. He drinks it like it is the best treat ever and often ends up with a smoothie mustache, which is pretty cute. But, now that summer is here, blender drinks are also pretty good. I can make the kids non-alcoholic ones. My blender is probably from 1970, so it is on its last legs, and this one from Walmart is too good of a deal to pass up.

For easy blending, pouring and cleaning, the 48 oz. heat resistant glass jar will blend hot and cold foods and liquids with ease. There are two speeds with 700 watts of peak power. The blades are stainless steel Ice Sabre blades, which means they chop ice like a boss. There is a three-year warranty too.

Shipping is free for this item!

Shape Up – Xbox One Only $29.96 @ Walmart (Was $60)

Posted by on December 14, 2014 at 2:23 PM

Shape Up Xbox One Only $29.96 @ Walmart (Was $60)

Shape Up for the Xbox One is on sale for only $29.96 at Walmart Canada with free shipping. That is 50% off the regular price of $59.99 so you are saving a good chunk of cash on a brand new game for a new console.

Let us get our price comparisons out of the way first. I will let you know right away that Amazon Canada just dropped their price on Shape Up for the Xbox Up to match Walmart’s price. So if Walmart sells out, you can hop on over to Amazon Canada to purchase the game. Now, while there are two companies with the same price, the game is still a good deal. Every other company I price compared with has the game for substantially higher. Shape Up is $59.99 @ Best buy, $59.99 @ Future Shop, and $59.99 @ EB games (OOS). EB Games even had recycled copies for $54.99, which are also out of stock.

This is a game you are going to want to have in your arsenal come the New Year. When you are stuffed fat full of turkey and ham and Christmas treats, you will need something to get you off your butt and burning all those calories. This game is all about making you forget you are working out by having a load of fun. Via the camera, you can work out with your friends or family. You can also save your workouts and challenge your friends.

Now, a bug taints many of the comments – where the game would just randomly crash. However, there is a simple fix for this:

To fix this issues with this game simply change the Profile Pic to a standard one. It’s a strange fix, but whatever makes it work is alright.

Once you fix the small glitch, people seem to love the game:

Two workouts completed. Keeping the game! Worked up a bit of a sweat. With a nice variety of mini games and a tracker to keep you wanting to do more, this game has just enough to be a strong addition to my stable of workout games. Personally I would price it at 44.99… especially with the season pass already available.

I like how this person suggests a price he would feel comfortable paying for the game. Well, now it is $15 below what even he would pay so I suggest grabbing it ASAP.

PROSCAN 7″ Tablet (Case & Keyboard) Was $64 Now $48 & Free Shipping @ Walmart! (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 14, 2014 at 9:15 AM

PROSCAN 7 Tablet (Case & Keyboard) Was $64 Now $48 & Free Shipping @ Walmart! (EXPIRED)

If you’ve been on the lookout for a budget tablet that won’t break the bank, you could consider this clearance deal from The PROSCAN 7″ Android 4.1 Tablet with Case & Keyboard (PLT7-K) was previously priced at $64 and it’s now down to only $48 with free shipping.

As you can probably tell from the price point, the PROSCAN 7″ PLT7-K Android 4.1 Tablet is not going to be the most powerful and amazing device in the world. You DO pay for what you get in this type of thing, but if you really only need something basic, this is definitely one to consider.

As for the specification itself, here are a few of the important points:

  • 7” capacitive multi touch display with case and keyboard kit
  • 800 x 480 pixels resolution
  • Up to 1.2GHz processor
  • Android 4.1 Jellybean operating system
  • Camera & rechargeable battery built-in
  • 4GB NAND Flash and expandable up to 32GB via memory card

You can see that it’s not terribly powerful and doesn’t actually come with a lot of in-built memory to start with. But, it is expandable with a memory card, which you can pick up at a low cost these days.

Ideas for things you could use this Proscan tablet for:

  • For young kids to play basic games like Angry Birds / Candy Crush
  • For long car trips, entertaining the kids
  • Cheap multi-media device for using round the home
  • Using for basic social functions, such as emails, Facebook, etc

It’s really not comparable to an iPad Air or anything like that, but it’s just a basic tablet for some basic functions.

One thing you might want to note is that it’s not compatible with Google Play, so you cannot download any apps from there. The choice in apps might be a little limited, as this reviewer stated:

NOT Google Licensed for downloads… You cannot download any aps from Google Play… Your options are very limited.

Take that into account if you’re buying.

To be honest, this would be the type of thing I’d buy for my little 4 year old daughter, but I’d give her a strict time limit on usage of the games, etc. I don’t want her to get screen addiction too young!

Never Land Launcher Only $15 @ Walmart Canada & Free Shipping

Posted by on December 12, 2014 at 4:01 PM

Never Land Launcher Only $15 @ Walmart Canada & Free Shipping

If your child is all about Jake and The Never Land Pirates, then perhaps he or she will like this role play item available at Walmart. Right now you can head on over to and purchase this Never Land Cannon Launcher for only $15.

Your child will be able to hold onto the handle of this Jake and The Never Land Cannon Launcher and fire foam balls at Hook or possible other “pirate enemies” like their siblings or the family pets. This launcher comes complete with 3 foam balls.

Not only is this the best price you will find on this role play toy, but you also get to benefit from free shipping as well. Thanks Walmart! Another great feature about Walmart is that they provide fast shipping. You can definitely expect this item to arrive in time to wrap up and put under your Christmas tree.

To give you a little idea on price comparison, here is the price on this Jake and The Never Land Cannon Launcher elsewhere:

This toy is best suited for children ages 3 – 5 years. The Walmart website says that this launcher comes with 3 foam balls, but the Toys R Us website says that they are plastic balls. If they are foam balls, beware they don’t get eaten. I know my son likes to take little chunks out of foam toys – and so does my dog.

While reading the reviews at both Amazon and Walmart, some consumers have not been very happy with this product. While the manufacturer’s suggested age is 3 – 5, many reviews say that it was next to impossible for their 3 or 4 year old to use. So by the sounds of it, you should be prepared to help your child launch the cannons. As always, if you are not happy with the product – you can always return it at your local Walmart store.

This offer will only be available at for this price while quantities last. If you are aiming to have it for Christmas, order it sooner than later to ensure it arrives in time. You never know when post services might lag!

Crayola Melt’n Mold Factory Only $15 @ Walmart Canada *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 10, 2014 at 11:48 AM

Crayola Meltn Mold Factory Only $15 @ Walmart Canada *HOT* (EXPIRED)

Walmart is hosting a one-day only Christmas toy event with great deals on toys and free shipping as always! In their sale, Walmart has the Crayola Canada Melt’n Mold Factory for just $15!

While Walmart fails to list the original price, I found an old cache of Walmart’s website that showed a price tag of $56.96! I also price compared with a few other places and here is what I found:

  • $50.47 @
  • $53.96 @ Staples Canada
  • $24.95 @ Toys R Us (+ shipping)

As you can see, the closest deal was at Toys R Us but it does not reach their free shipping minimum and it is still $10 higher than Walmart’s price right now. Toys R Us even lists the original price for the factory as $59.99.

This mold is a very cool toy. You melt crayon bits and turn them into multi-coloured swirly crayons or rings of your own creation. The Crayola Canada Melt’n Mold Factory comes with two molds, a mold frame, and 24 crayons to melt down. I think this is an awesome toy because you get to be creative and make something of your own design. In addition, this toy also teaches reusing what we have. Your child can gather up all their old crayon bits. Instead of throwing them out, they get to make something new and usable out of what was previously junk.

The reviews on Walmart are split because one person thinks that the wax takes too long to melt. However, the reviews on Amazon are fairly positive including this one:

At first I wasn’t sure it was appropriate for my 6 yr old grandson however after seeing all the safety from a child burning themselves built into this product I felt so much better. He has melted old crayons and made very colourful rings that he gives to us to colour with him. He has asked so many family members for their old crayons that he has quite a supply.

This is super cute and I think it would make a fantastic Christmas gift. This is a one-day deal only so please pick up a Crayola Factory before the deal ends and before they sell out dear Moosers!

Walmart Canada: 1 Day Only Toy Sale (EXPIRED)

Walmart has a blowout sale today only on toys. There are some really hot items and some have already sold out, so you’ll want to act fast. None of the regular prices are up, so you’ll have to price compare, but for the ones I’ve compared, there are some great deals.

Lets start with Elmo, because everyone loves Elmo. The Playskool Sesame Street Big Hugs Elmo is a fun toy for a toddler or preschooler. Walmart is selling it for $16.97, and Toys R Us sells it for $59.97!

If you’ve got a Monster High fan, the Monster High Scaris Werecat doll is now only $12.46. I don’t know the regular price, but I know this is a hot price considering you get the doll and a journal in a popular toy brand.

The Hot Wheels Sharkport Showdown is a colour change playset and sells for $22.39 at Amazon. Get it at Walmart for only $12.46.

I spent quite a bit of money on my Marvel Hulk mask, but you won’t have to, thanks to today’s sale. Get it for only $6.46.

Boom Boom Balloon game is a super fun game – I know because my kids love playing it and it is very inexpensive today for only $9.44.

Give Barbie some friends for only $8.36. If you need to buy some gifts for donations, these Barbies will please any little girl and are under $10!

If your kid loves Laloopsy and ponies, how about a Lalaloopsy pony? Now only $3.97 with your choice of character.

My bug-loving son would love this Smartlab bug playground for only $4.98. It would make a great gift from his brother, especially because it is cheap enough for him to buy it with his own money.

Shipping is free on anything you buy from Walmart, so buy as little or as much as you’d like and cross all of the kids off your to-buy-for list.
