Dirt Devil Quick Lite Plus Vacuum Was $146 | Now $52 + Free Shipping @ Amazon.ca

Cleaning can be a drag with a heavy vacuum. Check out the Dirt Devil Quick Lite Plus Vacuum and get the job done quickly and painlessly. This bagless vacuum was $145.59 but is now only $52.21 @Amazon.ca. To sweeten the deal, this item qualifies for free shipping.

I am not a vacuum expert. I do however know a thing or two about cleaning up messes. My preschooler keeps me well on my toes making sure there are plenty of crumbs and dirt to clean. Please do not look under my kitchen table. Yesterday I think I saw a half-eaten snow pea trying to attack my cat.

I try to avoid the problem for the poor cat by running the vacuum regularly, especially on the main floor. I have a Dyson vacuum at my house. The vacuum does the job however rarely does it make it up to the second floor. The stairs only see the vacuum around four to six times a year. Part of my reluctance bringing my vacuum upstairs is the weight. Imagine lugging a big clunky vacuum up the stairs while the preschooler and the cat attempt to run circles around you. Sounds like a fun afternoon at the hospital.

I have been intending to buy a vacuum that is lighter in weight. One of the main complaints lightweight and stick vacuums have is often inadequate suction. This Dirt Devil vacuum seems to provide the suction necessary for small spaces and quick cleaning. It has a HEPA filter, which is always on my list for a good vacuum. Several consumers have mentioned they use their vacuum on multiple surfaces such as hard wood and vinyl in the Q&A. Having a vacuum that works on multiple surfaces is also important to me for under my kitchen table.

I did a little price snooping and only found this particular model @ Staples.ca for $89.94. My guess is that because this model is light and somewhat compact, it is a great vacuum for an office environment also. I also found a similar model, the Dirt Devil Dynamite Cyclonic Bagless Upright Vacuum at Homedepot.ca for $79.99. The Home Depot model is similar though it does not include a hepa filter. The Home Depot model also specifically mentions a mode for cleaning hard wood.

Reviews seem to be pretty good overall with most reviewers on Amazon giving it four or five stars.

Surprisingly a good little “sucker”.

Another happy reviewer liked this vacuum for small cleaning jobs.

Easy to assemble, and store away because it is smaller. It is also pretty powerful suction wise for the small jobs I need so it is good very so far!

One or two reviewers have complained about the loudness or the length of the cord. Most reviewers overall seem happy with this vacuum for taking care of small jobs. I would say if you are looking for a quick cleanup vacuum for little messes, this Dirt Devil is a good pick. I would use this Dirt Devil as part of my daily cleaning routine. I might pull out a bigger vacuum to clean up that container of rice my preschooler just spilled on the floor.

Lowes Small Electrolux Versatility Canister Vacuum Was $500 | Now $170 (EXPIRED)

Lowes Small Electrolux Versatility Canister Vacuum Was $500 | Now $170 (EXPIRED)

Today only, Lowes is having a one-day only sale on small appliances. The feature of this sale is the Electrolux Versatility Canister Vacuum that was $499 and is now only $169. That’s a savings of $330.

Electrolux is a well-known name in vacuums, so you know you’ll be getting a quality appliance during this sale. This bagless vacuum is also super light at only 11 pounds, has a HEPA filter and cyclonic suction. In case you are vacuuming in the dark (totally possible when you have kids) or have lots of little toys laying around that you don’t want to suck up, it has an LED headlight so you can spot those suckers before they go up the vacuum.

I had a really hard time finding this vacuum for sale anywhere in Canada, besides on Amazon where it selling from a secondary seller for over $500. It does sell in the U.S. for about $400 USD, so no matter how you look at it, this is a hot deal.

If you aren’t in a market for a new vacuum, you’ll still want to check out this one-day sale on small appliances.

I found this Hamilton Beach convection toaster oven with rotisserie a really great find and perfect if you have a student going away to school on their own this year. Regularly $149, it is now only $99. I price compared elsewhere and found it the cheapest at Sears for $120.

Another hot find, especially if you like entertaining, is this Crock-Pot 5-quart stainless steel and black 2 vessel slow cooker. It was originally $99.99 and now $36.99, which is a $63 savings. I also couldn’t find this item anywhere else, but I think $37 for a dual crock pot is a sweet deal!

If you sign up for Lowe’s newsletter, you’ll also get a coupon for another $10 off your $50 order. Parcel shipping is free on orders over $49.

Amazon.ca: Dirt Devil Scorpion HV 7A Vacuum Only $29

Posted by on January 9, 2015 at 2:02 PM

Amazon.ca: Dirt Devil Scorpion HV 7A Vacuum Only $29

Purchase the hand held Dirt Devil Scorpion Quick Flip HV 7A Vacuum on sale from $44.79 down to $28.63 at amazon Canada. As this convenient little vacuum cleaner costs over $25, the unit will also ship for free to your home.

In price comparing this unit I did find some decent prices. However, Amazon Canada’s price was the best compared to these competitors:

  • $34.99 @ Home Depot Canada (in store)
  • $39.99 @ London Drugs Canada
  • $48.30 @ Hookbag Canada

This is a bagless, corded, straight suction hand vacuum cleaner. The bagless design saves on waste and allows you to deposit dirt right into the trash. The 16 foot cord is excellent for extending your reach without having to switch outlets all the time. The vacuum also has this cool quick-flip crevice tool. A plastic channel flips out at the end of your vacuum cleaner to channel suction. It lets you get into tight corners and edges without losing suction.

The seven AMP motor will power through most small messes and it flicks on and off at the switch of a button on the handle. The vacuum also comes with a few extra accessories (besides the quick flip tool). These bonus accessories are a dusting brush, hose, shoulder strap, and an extension.

The reviews are good for this unit as well. Out of 20 reviews on Amazon.ca, the Scorpion Dirt Devil is averaging 4.5/5 stars. One reviewer said:

I have a Dyson cordless and I use this instead because it has greater suction! Believe it. You don’t always get what you pay for but in this case the little Dirt Devil outperforms the mighty D. Easy to empty and you can carry the cup to the garbage to empty instead of having to cart the whole unit. Highly recommend.

I find that a bit of a hard pill to swallow as I am a Dyson fan, but they are quite right. Sometimes you buy into a brand name because you liked something they made previously when something cheaper and not as popular will do the job as well – if not better. You can often save a lot of money by trying to over-ride your brand bias to try something different.

For $29, I think this is an excellent purchase. It will save fishing out the large vacuum cleaner (if you have one) or save purchasing a large one if you only have small bits of carpet.

Amazon Canada: iRobot Braava 380T Floor Mopping Robot Was $350 | Now $250 (EXPIRED)

Amazon Canada: iRobot Braava 380T Floor Mopping Robot Was $350 | Now $250 (EXPIRED)

Say goodbye to backache and treat yourself to an automated solution to the mop and bucket!  Right now over at Amazon.ca you can save $100 off the price of an iRobot automated floor mop.

I find these days it is getting harder and harder to remember to do the chores around the house.  From putting in more hours at the office to chasing around kids and their activities – there just isn’t enough time in the day anymore.  Why do we continue to complicate our lives when technology is making it easier to get the little things done?  That’s where this neat little device named “iRobot” comes in.  I have been thinking for a while now about getting one of these.  Mostly just to watch in fascination as it scoots about the kitchen!

This is the current floor mopping robot “Braava” from iRobot that is on sale for $249.99 down from $349.99.  Not to be confused with the “Scooba” which is a floor scrubber that retails for $600.  The Braava will essentially replace the broom, mop and bucket to a degree.  If you’re looking to get deep grime and marks off your floor the Scooba is a better solution.  The Braava features a dry and damp mop mode to efficiently pick up any dirt, dust and hairs.  One neat feature I like is you can use iRobot’s reusable microfibre cloths instead of always throwing away a disposable cleaning pad.

The dry mop can clean up to 1000 square feet and the damp mop can clean up to 350 square feet.  That is a pretty decent range that should suit most of our kitchen and bathroom floors.  The battery lasts about four hours for dry cleaning and two and a half for wet.  The Braava only takes two hours to completely charge in its dock.  A couple things to note is the navigation cube requires 2 – C batteries which are included and you’ll have to manually put the mop in its charging cradle.  This will work for every hard surface you have including:  tile, vinyl, hardwood and laminate.

The reviews on this model are pretty good with most rating it 4/5 stars.  Here’s one review from Amazon that sums up how well it cleans.

Oh so quiet and it does an amazing job, have been using it everyday (almost) and it has saved me so much work amazing! Our family has two labs, one cat and four kids so this item is like an extra pair of arms, I use this after my scheduled Roomba vacuums up all the dog hair.

The cheapest I could find it elsewhere is at Best Buy and Future Shop where it is also on sale, for $280.  This is definitely something I’m thinking I should have asked for as a Christmas gift.

You get free shipping at Amazon for anything over $25.

Free Sennheiser Headphones with Dyson Purchase @ Future Shop ($150 Value) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 17, 2014 at 1:30 PM

Free Sennheiser Headphones with Dyson Purchase @ Future Shop ($150 Value) (EXPIRED)

I am stoked about this sweet deal from Future Shop Canada. Receive a free pair of Sennheiser HD Pro Over-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones for free ($149.99 value) when you purchase a Dyson vacuum or air multiplying fan for $349.99 or more.

Dyson and Sennheiser are both higher end brands that I love. I currently own a Dyson vacuum and would love to own a Dyson fan. I have also been drooling over Sennheiser headsets for ages now.

For the free headset, you need to add these Sennheiser HD Pro Over-Ear Sound Isolating Headphones (HD280 PRO) to your cart with the Dyson product and they will be automatically discounted. This headset is an absolute classic for Sennheiser. While it may not be exactly what a casual music listener is looking for, it is designed for studio use with crisp clear sound and incredible differentiation. As one reviewer put it: if your music sounds good on this headset, it will sound good on any headset.

This deal is at its best when you purchase the lowest priced Dyson’s available. I would pick up the Dyson Digital Slim Multi Floor Vacuum (DC35) before the last few go out of stock. If I was to need a new vacuum cleaner, I think I would purchase this one. It is compact, cordless, and has a long arm that really reaches into hard to reach places. The vacuum retails for $349.99, so you will receive the headset for free. This vacuum has such positive reviews including:

Amazingly powerful for its size. Got construction dirt out of our new home’s hardwood floors that a bigger, more cumbersome vac had not picked up. Light, maneuverable and very easy to use. Love it!

My second choice would be the Dyson Animal Stick Vacuum (DC45AN) for $449.99. We have two cats and one of our big boys is a lovely black long-haired feline. That can be rather taxing on a vacuum cleaner. The animal line is designed to deal with pet hair and I know that would be a huge bonus in my household! There is cat hair everywhere – sometimes I feel like plastic wrapping the furniture! It is worse when they decide to join me in bed. They are warm furballs but they sure leave their fur lying around. I would also love the free headset with my new vacuum cleaner. Free Sennheiser Headphones with Dyson Purchase @ Future Shop ($150 Value) (EXPIRED)

This deal is a limited time offer only. You will know if it is still on as you will see this on the product page:

Best Buy Canada: Samsung Bagless Canister Vacuum | Was $300 Now $200

Posted by on November 1, 2014 at 9:00 AM

Best Buy Canada: Samsung Bagless Canister Vacuum | Was $300 Now $200

Is your current vacuum just not as powerful as it used to be? Perhaps it’s time to get a new one – when vacuuming starts to become too tedious (especially when you’re using a machine that requires you to go over the same spots repeatedly due to its age), then you should do yourself a favour and retire your machine. Thankfully, Best Buy is currently having a sale on their Samsung Canister Vacuum today! It normally retails for $299.99, but you can now buy this canister vacuum for $199.99. You’ll also qualify for free shipping – whoo!

This is a pretty nice deal – especially since you’re saving 33% on the regular price! This Samsung Canister Vacuum (model VC12F50HNDU/AC) comes with a 3-in-1 accessory pack, and has some sweet features, like a remote control handle that makes it easy for you to turn this machine on and off, a svelte bagless design, and an advanced HEPA filtration system. It’s also quite powerful, since it has Cyclone Force Multi Technology. You can read more about this bagless canister vacuum by clicking on the link above.

I currently use a Dyson bagless vacuum, and prior to that, I used bags. I can honestly say that you save so much by going bagless! Just think about all the dirt that needs to be removed when you’re vacuuming your home – especially if you’re vacuuming at least once a week, it won’t take long for those bags to fill up!

If you wanted to buy this Samsung Canister Vacuum from Lowe’s, it would cost you $299. I’ve included a brief review of this bagless vacuum from a satisfied Lowe’s customer below:

This Samsung works great. Has 3 levels of suction and you can feel it pulling the carpet. The power button on the wand is a great feature. And very easy to empty the canister. Before purchasing this particular vacuum, I read online reviews and this model seemed to have the least negative reviews.

Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Staples Canada: Dirt Devil Quick Lite Vacuum Only $50 (Was $90)

Posted by on August 18, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Staples Canada: Dirt Devil Quick Lite Vacuum Only $50 (Was $90)

If you are looking for a handy little vacuum for your dorm or new apartment, Staples has a great deal on. Get the Dirt Devil Lite Plus cyclonic compact vacuum for only $49.96, with a regular price of $89.96.

This looks like quite the vacuum for under $50. Totally light-weight, it is only 9lbs. It is so light, my kids could use it. Hmmm… maybe I should pick one up for them and get them to help out a little more around here! Even though it is light, it is still powerful with a 7 amp motor. It also has a HEPA filter that traps 99.97% of dirt, dust and pollens down to 0.3 microns, which sounds like quite a lot! The hose is 8′ long and the power cord is 20′ so I’m sure you could get your entire apartment clean starting from one spot.

The vacuum also comes with a crevice tool and an upholstery tool. This little lady has it all!

You might be thinking that a vacuum this cheap might be a piece of crap. Well, its not. There are quite a few reviews on the website, and it has an overall rating of 4.1 stars out of five. I even wonder if it does a better job than some of the more expensive vacuums out there.

This powerful little machine picks up dirt my other vacuum left behind on both carpets & bare floors.

I like how easy it was to put together. It cleans efficiently and fast and it is light weight making cleaning easier and more enjoyable. It is very easy to clean out and maintain because of it’s neat compartments.

Downfalls include that its a little loud and that the power cord might not be long enough, although I think its plenty long. I also don’t mind loud vacuums as they help drown out the noise of the kids when I need a break from whining or fighting. Staples Canada: Dirt Devil Quick Lite Vacuum Only $50 (Was $90)

This vacuum will also ship for free from Staples.

Walmart Canada: Bissell 3-in-1 Stick Vac Now Only $17

Posted by on July 8, 2014 at 11:30 AM

Walmart Canada: Bissell 3 in 1 Stick Vac Now Only $17

With college and university comes leaving the nest. If you or your child is heading off to their new place or a dorm room, there are going to be some essentials they need. Besides the toaster oven or hot plate, they might want to vacuum their little space. Of course, you could send them away with your 100-pound Kirby vacuum from 1969, or you could buy them this Bissell 3-in-1 stick vac for only $17 (regular price $24.96). You’ll get it shipped for free too.

This lightweight powerhouse does three jobs. It can be used as a stick vac for floors, as a stair vac and as a hand vac. I’m actually thinking of getting one for my kitchen for those jobs I just don’t want to pull out my $500 Dyson for. You know, when you child walks around the house with their toast, or when the bowl of cereal hits the kitchen floor. But, it looks like this vac is powerful enough to get up the dog hair on my hardwood as well, so it could be used as an everyday vacuum.

The Bissell stick vac has over 100 reviews, with the majority giving it a 5-star rating. It really only has eight poor reviews. This ShopWise person summed it up perfectly:

Great product. Powerful vacuum at an awesome price. Value Worthy 100%. I keep this handy in my kitchen all the time. It’s light but powerful. Get the job done fast and easy. Not to mention great price!

The Bissell stick vac weighs less than four pounds, so you know what that means, don’t you? Child labour! Yesterday my 8-year-old spilled a large quantity of lemonade all over my kitchen floor. Although I gave him the steam mop to clean it up, he did a poor job. I think giving him a chore like vacuuming the kitchen with this super light vacuum would work out well. I’m even wondering if my 3-year-old could take on the job. It looks like it is only available in siliver, so your fuchsia dreams will have to be put on hold.

Lowe’s Canada: 50% Off Shop-Vac Now $84.50

Posted by on June 23, 2014 at 10:30 PM

Lowes Canada: 50% Off Shop Vac Now $84.50

Lowe’s Canada has put this Shop-Vac 45 L 6.5-Peak HP Shop Vacuum on sale for just $84.50, which is 50% off the original price of $169. You will also receive free parcel shipping.

Shop-Vacs are fantastic for anyone with a garage, shop, or work shed that needs a little help being cleaned. They have powerful enough suction to clean up some of the worst messes and they can handle abuse a normal vacuum cannot. This Peak HP shop vacuum is a wet/dry unit, which means it can suck up both dry goods as well as liquids without harming the vacuum. It is designed to handle everyday garage messes, which often include fluids. This vacuum will also not require emptying all that often as it is a 45L model. It also has a 2 1/2 inch hose to pick up larger pieces of debris.

For me, I do not own a shop or a garage so, you would think, this vacuum would be rather useless. However, I own a car that I like to clean out myself instead of pay someone else to do so or shovel coins into my local car wash to use their vacuum. This Shop-Vac is perfect for cleaning the interior of a car. It can handle all the crumbs, dirt chunks, and any liquids that might have spilled. With the long, wide, and flexible cord, the shop vacuums really beat conventional vacuums for cleaning car interiors. In my experience, shop vacuums are also lighter than your usual in-home vacuum, which makes them much easy to maneuver when cleaning up.

However, this is not a simple shop vacuum: it is a 2-in-1 unit, which features a powerful yard blower to make yard cleanup a breeze (literally). The blower is detachable for easy utilization. Clean the leaves off your patio or driveway with this simple tool.

The Shop-Vac has 6.5 HP and uses a bag and cartridge filtration system. It comes with several different attachments as you can see in the image above. The vacuum also comes with a five-year warranty, which is pretty surprising given how many items are only sold with one year warranties these days.

Thankfully, this Shop-Vac will ship with parcel shipping, which is free across Canada so there are no extra fees. I think this is a great deal for a 2-in-1 wet/dry vacuum with a detachable blower.

Lowes Canada: Shop-Vac Wet/Dry Only $20 Today Only

Posted by on June 6, 2014 at 11:30 AM

Lowes Canada: Shop Vac Wet/Dry Only $20 Today Only

Save $20 off the regular price of $39.98 on the Shop-Vac 9L 2.5 peak HP shop vacuum at Lowes, now $19.98 today only.

I think 50% off this very handy tool is a great deal! This Shop-Vac is only 9L, but it makes it easy to take places and with a top carry handle, it is extremely portable. It also has a wall mounting bracket and all the tools store right on the machine, so you always know where the vacuum is and the tools. It can also be reversed so you can use it as a blower, a great multi-functionality for one $20 vacuum. You can blow leaves and dirt out of your garage and you can even use it to inflate things like air mattresses or your kids blow up beach toys.

We are moving soon and know we are going to have a lot of cleaning on our hands, both at the house we sold and the one we are moving into. It would be handy to have this to clean up the new house before we move in all our stuff, while keeping my regular vacuum at home to do the carpets once the furniture is gone.

The reviews for this machine are phenomenal, with an overall 4.5 star rating out of 5. It has 111 reviews, with 67 of them being five-star. Reviewers state the vacuum is handy and easily portable, making it great for the garage and the car. And although the vacuum itself is small, it is still very powerful.

Here is one review that might help make your decision to spend $20 easier:

I love my little shop vac. It”s powerful, compact, and awesome investment for my home cleaning tools. It”s very portable and great for cobwebbing, furniture cracks, register vents. I just hook a long extension chord and go, go, go.

Another perk to buying this vacuum is that it ships for free with free parcel shipping from Lowes.

Get 20% off all iRobot vacuums and literally get a robot to sweep your floors!

If there is one item I absolutely need, it is one of these iRobot vacuums. With three crumb-trailers and a puppy, walking in my house is iffy. Enter this iRobot vacuum, which I could leave on all day (if that is possible), or even at night while we sleep. It is like a dream come true.

All discounted prices are shown in cart. There are five different styles of the vacuum, plus a floor washer! Some are already sold out or not available online, so if you’d like one, shop quick.

It picks up 98% of dust, dirt and pet hair from your floors and you can even schedule it for when you want it to work. It won’t be late or watch tv, either! Was $579.99, now $439.99.

The least expensive model is the 630, which has the same three-stage cleaning and a dirt detect sensor, just not the room to room or timer features. Still pretty awesome of it to clean your house though. Was $429.99, now $343.99.

Once your floors are done been vacuumed, put on the Scooba floor washing robot, which lays down cleaning solution, scrubs the floor, then squeegees up the mess. I think I’m in love. Was $329.99, now $263.99.

I have the floor washer and the 770 on my Christmas list!

Shipping is free when you spend $20, so enjoy that perk as well.

Get up to 50% off upright and canister vacuums, steam mops, cordless sweepers, and handheld vacuums from Bissell from Amazon.

Dyson: $100 Off 1 of 5 High End Vacuums

Dyson lets you clean up in two ways with this vacuum deal.

The five vacuums on sale are as follows:

Dyson is an amazing company. They have managed to somehow make vacuums and other wind-based products sexy. To make it even better, they are nerds. Just look at videos like this to see how nerdy their engineers really are.

There are two full upright vacuums and three little compact ones. They all seem to be better suited for certain tasks so take a read through the links above to see which one is best for you. It seems, from all I hear, that these are some of the best vacuums you can buy. It’s the difference between a Gaggenau and a Frigidaire.

Even in their naming, they are awesome. Stowaway is obviously because it’s small and compact and can hide in a small area without being noticed, much as a stowaway on a ship. They could have called it the “Dyson Compact” or something but they gave it the much more awesome name, Stowaway. Motorhead is named like that because it has a motorized brush bar. Could have been the “Dyson FWQ6279 Motorized Brush Bar Vacuum” but they decided to give it the same name as a Heavy Metal band.

Even the Dyson Ball (the DC29 and DC25 are ball vacuums) seems likely to have been named after the Dyson Sphere which is an ultra-nerdy concept that you can read up on if you are so inclined. I’d go into teacher mode and tell you all about them but then you’d fall asleep and miss out on the cool deal.
