Tiger Direct Canada: Get $20 off your order of $100 or more

Hey there, Bargainmoosers! Tiger Direct is currently having a limited time promotion where you can get $20 off your order of $100 or more when you’re shopping online. That’s not a bad deal, folks! All you have to do is click on the promotional banner in the link below, and enter your email address. Tiger Direct will then send you your personalized coupon code. Keep in mind that Tiger Direct charges for shipping (which depends on the items that you’re purchasing).

Tiger Direct has a myriad of great electronics that you can choose from. They usually have some very decent prices as well! You can choose from many computers & tablets, cameras & camcorders, toys & games, TV & home theatre merchandise, and even office equipment & supplies.

There are some good deals currently available at Tiger Direct, including this Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga S100 Intel Core i5 Touch Notebook Computer that’s currently on sale for $799.99 (this was previously retailing for $1299.99). A similar laptop is currently on Amazon’s American website for $1302.99 US. This is also one of the rare items on Tiger Direct’s website that qualifies for free shipping!

Now that Christmas is just around the corner (Halloween is going to be this Friday, people – that was fast), it may be time to consider doing some early holiday shopping. Plus, if you start shopping now, you won’t have to worry about stuff becoming out of stock (at least not as frequently). Don’t you hate when that happens?

I’ve listed a snippet of a review of the Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga from a satisfied Lenovo customer below:

I have had the Thinkpad Yoga for two months now and it has exceeded my expectations. I am a college student and it does what I need and more. This product offers all the add-ons and feature you could ever want. Its absolutely amazing and I love it.

Best Buy Canada: Insignia 64.5″ 1080p 120Hz LED TV | Was $1200 Now $900 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on October 22, 2014 at 9:00 AM

Best Buy Canada: Insignia 64.5 1080p 120Hz LED TV | Was $1200 Now $900 (EXPIRED)

Best Buy is having a FLASH sale for one day only on their Insignia 64.5″ 1080p 120Hz LED TV! It normally retails for $1199.99, and is now on sale for $999.99, but today’s FLASH sale allows customers to save an extra $100! Now you can purchase this huge television for $899.99 – that’s a great deal for a nearly-65-inch TV! You’ll also have to pay $49.99 for a scheduled delivery, since this is one huge product.

This Insignia 64.5″ 1080p 120Hz LED TV is huge! Not only will your movies, TV shows, and video games look amazing, but you’ll also be the envy of all your friends with this 64.5″ television! With this Insignia 64.5″ 1080p 120Hz LED TV, you can enjoy watching your Blu-Ray movies in 1080p, and in 120Hz.

I personally like the Insignia television brand. I think it’s high in quality and low in price, which is always a win with me. I currently have a 32″ Insignia LCD TV that I purchased back in 2009 (it was $525 at the time, which was a very decent price for a 32″ flatscreen TV), and it’s still working well! It also has a sleek exterior, which makes this more than just a “generic TV brand”.

If you wanted to purchase this Insignia 64.5″ 1080p 120Hz LED TV from Future Shop today, it would cost you $1199.99. I’ve included a brief review of a similar 55″ model of an Insignia LED TV from a satisfied Future Shop customer below:

I purchased a 32″, 39″ & 48″ Insignia LED TVs and am very happy with all of them. The HD content shows look awesome. Connect a Sound Bar and enjoy even better sound.

This may not be in stock for very long, so if you’re looking for a decent deal on a 64.5″ LED TV, then you should check out this deal! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Amazon Canada: The Office: The Complete Series On DVD | Was $230 Now $90

Posted by on October 21, 2014 at 10:17 AM

Amazon Canada: The Office: The Complete Series On DVD | Was $230 Now $90

That’s what she said. Today’s deal at Amazon is for the complete series of The Office on DVD – normally selling for $229.99, you can now purchase this set for $89.99. You’ll also get free shipping with your order! The Office: The Complete Series on DVD is currently on sale for $139.99 at Best Buy and Future Shop.

Oh, how I loved The Office – its dry humour that gave us a glimpse into a, often-mismanaged Scranton, Pennsylvania paper company known as Dunder Mifflin was a ground-breaking show for its time. It intrigued me when I first watched it back in the mid-2000s, since I didn’t hear the obligatory laugh-track in between every joke on the show.

Remember when TV shows had to remind us when we were supposed to laugh? After watching The Office, it kind of ruined many shows with laugh-tracks for me (at least the newer ones – I will always love Seinfeld and The Fresh Prince of Bel Air).

Either way, I really enjoyed watching The Office. It was a thoroughly enjoyable series with memorable characters such as Dwight, Andy, and of course, Michael Scott (played by Steve Carrell). One of my favourite lines in the series is when Michael Scott (the manager of the Dunder Mifflin office in Scranton, PA) is trying to motivate his employees, and has the following inspirational line written down on chart paper: You miss 100% of the shots that you don’t take. -Wayne Gretzky -Michael Scott.

The last few seasons aren’t as creative or hilarious as the earlier seasons, but they’re still fun to watch. Mindy Kaling of The Mindy Project also rose to prominence during her time on The Office. I’ve included a brief review of The Office: The Complete Series on DVD from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

Ordered for myself and my wife. It’s our favourite show. Hilarious, smart, and just perfect. Steve Carell is so funny.
The display is very nice and simple. Amazing!

Get this great DVD set before it’s sold out! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Kidoodle Canada Promo Code: Free Cartoons For 2½ Months!

Kidoodle Canada Promo Code: Free Cartoons For 2½ Months!

In celebration of Halloween, Kidoodle TV is offering 2 free months of cartoon viewing! Since Kidoodle is currently also offering a free 14-day trial of their TV services, you could hold off on entering the code below until your free trial has expired to get 2½ months for free!

Click here to sign up @ Kidoodle.TV now

  • Coupon Code: SPOOKY
  • Discount: 2 free months
  • Expiry: 30th November 2014

Usually priced at $4.99 per month, Kidoodle is an online service for watching TV shows that have been certified by the kidSAFE Seal Program and has also received the PTPA Award, which is given out to family-friendly products and services. Designed for kids 12 and under, Kidoodle TV can be played on multiple devices from PCs, to Macs, tablets and even smart phones. Viewing limits can also be easily set and the viewing experience for each child can be customized in the Parents Room.

Promotions like these are usually only for subscribers, but surprisingly, existing members can also enter the promo code to extend their subscription by two months for free!

It’s certainly a marketing ploy, but what’s even cooler about Kidoodle’s promotion is that they have also designed two sets of printable TV cards that you can give out to trick or treaters and share this promotion with them as well. For every of the above-mentioned Kidoodle promo code used before the time runs up, Kidoodle will also donate $0.50 to Ronald McDonald House Charities Canada. If two free months, printable cards and a commitment to donate money isn’t impressing enough, then I don’t know what is!

Cartoons on TV just aren’t the same anymore and so, I was actually pleasantly surprised to see plenty of “oldies” in Kidoodle’s available content. Here are some of the titles that they have available (scroll down for the Canadian content):

  • Doodlebops
  • Magi-Nation
  • Zorro
  • Waybuloo
  • Danger Rangers
  • Yogabba Gabba!
  • Transformers
  • Paddington Bear
  • Super Mario World
  • Sonic Underground
  • Sabrina’s Secret Life
  • Madeline
  • My Little Pony
  • Johnny Test
  • Inspector Gadget
  • G.I. Joe
  • Conan The Adventurer
  • Caillou
  • Angela Ananconda

On top of these, there are also a number of education titles from National Geographic and even Quest Man’s Journey Into Space is on there as well. In fact, there are also eight My Little Pony titles available and I have to admit that having watching a couple myself, I was surprised at the level of vocabulary used by the characters, I definitely suggest checkout out those as well. All in all, there are plenty of really awesome TV shows to keep your little one(s) entertained and considering it’s just $5 per month after the 2½ free month period is over, it’s definitely well worth it!

The Source Canada: Seiki LE-55GCL-P 55″ 4K Ultra-HD DLED TV (Refurbished) | Was $1040 Now $630 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on October 7, 2014 at 12:00 PM

The Source Canada: Seiki LE 55GCL P 55 4K Ultra HD DLED TV (Refurbished) | Was $1040 Now $630 (EXPIRED)

There have been some great 4K television sales lately. Such is the case with today’s deal at The Source – you can get a refurbished Seiki LE-55GCL-P 55″ 4K Ultra-HD DLED TV for $629.98 (plus $34.99 shipping) ! The regular price of this TV is $1039.99, so this is an alluring deal! Even though Seiki isn’t exactly a familiar brand name, the fact that you can own a 55″ 4K television for $629.98 is pretty incredible. If you want to save on the shipping cost, you can also arrange for a free in-store pickup from a The Source location that’s near you.

Some of the features of this Seiki LE-55GCL-P 55″ 4K Ultra-HD DLED TV are already in its title, including the ability to display 4K content and Blu-Rays. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate, 3 HDMI ports, and 1 USB port.

This is the new display technology that people are marvelling at when they go to popular retail locations like The Source, Best Buy, and Future Shop. When you see a 4K TV on display, it’s hard to not be amazed by the intricate details that you can see on the screen in front of you! It’s just that clear and crisp!

You likely heard these things when flatscreen televisions with 1080p resolution were released, and at the time those were some amazing pieces of technology. However, 4K simply blows it away (and naturally it should, since 1080p televisions were introduced more than a decade ago).

If you buy the smaller 50″ version of this Seiki LE-55GCL-P 55″ 4K Ultra-HD DLED TV at Newegg, it would cost you $679.99. You can actually find this exact 55″ Seiki 4K TV on Amazon’s American website for $699.99 US (plus shipping). I’ve listed a brief review of this TV from a satisfied The Source customer below:

TV makes a really good buy in terms of value for money. The bezel is decent looking and is on the slimmer side of things. The picture quality and contrast are actually very good despite the 4000:1 low dynamic contrast advertised. The downside is that one would only be able to play UHD 4k at 30hz. I currently use it regularly as a full HD TV and i’m loving it.

These refurbished product deals at The Source don’t usually last very long, since the items are usually out of stock soon afterwards! Check this out while it’s still available – happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Even though Seiki isn’t exactly a name brand like Sony or Samsung, I’m finding it very hard to keep myself from using my credit card on this 4K TV set! Finding this particular TV in Canada is a challenge, but I did find that it’s on Amazon’s American website for $999.99 US. I’ve included a snippet of a review from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

Although it’s cheap this is one of the best TVs I have owned… Tested 4k on my PC and it looks gorgeous. Not saying this is the best TV out there but for the price, it is very impressive. Very happy with my purchase.

WalMart Canada: RCA 32″ Direct LED HDTV Television Only $169 (EXPIRED)

WalMart Canada: RCA 32 Direct LED HDTV Television Only $169 (EXPIRED)

With the recent influx of television deals, it would be a difficult choice to not replace your older CRT TVs. Though our tube shaped televisions have provided us with plenty of years of entertainment, flat screen TVs are becoming even more affordable. For example, today’s deal at WalMart is for an RCA 32″ Direct LED HDTV compatible TV, and it’s only $169! This 32″ RCA  LED TV normally costs $279 at Canadian Tire, which shows you just how affordable this TV is. You’ll also get free shipping from WalMart for this 32″ TV!

This is the perfect TV for a bedroom, a garage, or a basement setup. 32 inches is plenty of room for a secondary TV, especially if you plan to just use it to play video games on. The RCA 32″ Direct LED television also has 2 HDMI inputs and a VGA input, so you can easily hook up your laptop or desktop computer to this TV. Though it can only display up to a 720p resolution, you can’t go wrong for $169.

My brother actually has a 32″ LCD TV set up in his home gym, and he finds it incredibly useful. It may not have the best quality, but he still enjoys it for what it is – a way to watch television while working out. Plus, he purchased it roughly 5 years ago for about $550, so you can really see the value in WalMart’s current deal.

I’ve included 2 brief reviews of the RCA 32″ Direct LED TV from satisfied WalMart customers below:

I am very satisfied with this 32 inch RCA TV. The price was great and the free delivery very speedy. I have not been a regular Walmart customer, but will certainly shop on-line with you again.

I bought this TV online at an AWESOME price. It was the best price anywhere. I have continued looking at the price in flyers over the past few weeks and it is at least $50.00 more in all other stores when it is on sale.I loved the free shipping too.

This TV is an affordable solution for those that want to replace the old tube television that’s in their basement. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Sony Canada: Buy A 4K Television And Get A Free PS4 Last Of Us Bundle

Sony Canada: Buy A 4K Television And Get A Free PS4 Last Of Us Bundle

One of the first things that gamers will do when they get a brand spanking new TV is – you guessed it, they’ll hook up a video game system to it. With today’s deal from Sony, whether you’re a video game fan or not, you’ll be able to do just that! For a limited time, when you purchase a 4K TV from Sony, you’ll also get a free Playstation 4 System with The Last Of Us Remastered! You’ll also qualify for free shipping. If you’re in the market for these newer luxury television sets, it never hurts to get a free PS4 system bundle with it!

4K televisions are the next big thing. They literally have to be seen to be believed! The detail that you can see in the screen of a 4K TV is so intricate, it’s incredible! Even seeing a delicious food dish on a 4K television screen will make your mouth water – the picture is that crisp and clear!

One of the cheapest 4K TVs that you can currently get from The Sony Store is the 49” X850B 4K Ultra HD TV, which is currently on sale for $2099.99 (the regular price is $2299.99). Add in the PS4 Last Of Us bundle (a $449.99 value), and you`d be saving a total of $649.99 – it`s a great bonus for such a big purchase.

I first saw a 4K TV demo at a Best Buy location half a year ago, and it still amazes me. I’m trying my best not to exaggerate, but if you have a chance to see one that’s on display at a retail location like Future Shop or Best Buy, I think you’ll be very impressed with the picture quality on them.

At this time, they’re still pretty pricey, but 4K TVs are still relatively new to the market. At Future Shop, a similar 49 inch Sony 4K TV is currently on sale for $1999.99 ($500 off), while another one is $2129.80 on Amazon. Listed below is a snippet of a review of the 49” X850B 4K Ultra HD TV from a satisfied Sony Store customer:

The colours are bright, motion is smooth, blacks are deep, and I have yet to see an artifact that isn’t the result of Internet streaming. The 4K is very impressive. There isn’t a ton of 4K content out there, but from what I have been able to watch on this unit (a few Netflix shows), this TV handles 4K wonderfully.

For a new and exciting TV experience, perhaps a 4K TV would best suit your needs. If you don`t have the funds for it now, there`s always Boxing Day! Here’s to a great weekend, Bargainmoosers! Happy hunting!

Amazon Canada: Animaniacs Full Seasons Only $11.49

Posted by on June 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Amazon Canada: Animaniacs Full Seasons Only $11.49

Take yourself back to the nineties and immerse yourself in the animated show Animaniacs, getting each full season for only $11.49, instead of the regular price of $41.19.

I never did watch this show (I guess I was too old in the nineties!), but was reading the rave reviews about it online. Amazon has quite a few good reviews about this show, which looks like it is great for all ages. Parents who watched it in the nineties now want to get it for their kids to watch. I love doing this with shows I loved as a kid, and my kids have definitely seen The Wizard of Oz, E.T., and the Flintstones along with many other movies and television shows I enjoyed as a child. For only $11.49 a season, there is no reason to get your kids interested in something different. Or, you can relive your own youth and watch this yourself.

Even if you haven’t watched this, you might like it. It was an award-winning show that is great for kids because of the wacky characters and adults will like the wittiness of the dialogue aimed to go over the kids heads. This reminds me of Spongebob Squarepants, or even some of the Pixar movies. It’s really great when you can sit down with your kids, watch movies and actually have a good time along with them.

Each season is on sale:

For some reason Amazon has volume 2 listed as $11.49, but when you click to it, it comes up a different price. This link might take you to the page to buy it for $11.49.

If you are also interested in other nineties shows, Pinky & The Brain is also on sale for $11.49 from $41.19. There are a few volumes of this one and other fun older shows, so check out the selection.

Shipping is free on orders over $25, so treat yourself to all four volumes.

Amazon Canada: Northern Exposure: The Complete Series for $88.99

Amazon Canada: Northern Exposure: The Complete Series for $88.99

Still looking for a Father’s Day gift? If he is a fan of the 90′s tv show Northern Exposure this would be a great gift set. The original price is $229, on sale for $88.99, that’s a 61% savings.

Although I did not watch the show religiously the first time around, in fact it was more background noise when I would be visiting my older sister, it is on my list of shows to check out. As I recall, this series had a fairly good fan base back in the day. As expressed by so many reviewers on line, the show holds promise that it withstands the test of time with the clever script writing, character development and overall love for the show, which definitely makes me want to move it up on my list of tv shows to watch.

This is great story and character driven tv, an absolutely classic series. The characters are endearing, quirky, and memorable. This is especially interesting to watch in this format because the story stands out so much more than watching on tv with commercials.

If Northern Exposure isn’t quite up your alley, Amazon.ca has another tv series box set coming up on their Deal of the Day: Everybody Loves RaymondThe set will be 58% off tomorrow, one day only.

Another tv show with a loyal fan base, as evident by this reviewer:

This is a great compilation at a good price and we are enjoying it immensely. We are viewing all shows of all 9 seasons in order which adds something to the whole experience. We are having a lot of really good laughs.

Both options include FREE Super Saver Shipping as they are over the $25 minimum.

(Expiry: 11th June 2014 for Norther Exposure and 12th June 2014 for Everybody Loves Raymond)

Prime Cables Canada: Heavy Duty Tilt Wall Mount Bracket Only $30 (Was $115)

Prime Cables Canada: Heavy Duty Tilt Wall Mount Bracket Only $30 (Was $115)

While this isn’t the sexiest and most exciting deal I’ve ever seen, I bet it will be one of the more helpful ones. Prime Cables has an all in one, heavy duty tilt wall mount bracket with safety for a 37″ to 70″ TV on for only $29.99, with an original price of $114.99. This saves you 73%!

To add to this deal, Prime Cables is also throwing in a free screen cleaner kit (worth $7.99) and a free six foot HDMI 1.4 cable (worth $14.99).

Trying to price compare this item is like trying to get a toddler to go to bed. There are so many different options and varying price ranges, it makes it almost impossible to tell if there are cheaper units. I did see in the reviews that people thought the original price was quite high, but the sale price is a good price for this item.

We recently got rid of an old tube TV we had that was probably 200lbs. It worked fine but my husband refused to move it to our new house as every time he wanted to move it to a different location in the house, he needed a couple of friends to help. He also felt it was a safety hazard in case a child pulled it onto himself. We are planning on getting a new TV that will be put up on the wall, and this bracket is just what we need. We don’t want to spend a ton on the TV, so spending only $30 on the bracket is perfect.

Shipping at Prime Cables is free once you spend $49, but the great thing is that there are five stores with one checkout, so if you needed something from 123 Ink Cartridges or Phone Gala and more, you can order from them and this will get you up to the shipping minimum threshold.

Costco Canada: $45 Off Kanto FMX2 Articulating Wall Mount For 37″ – 80″ TVs (Now $90 | Was $135)

Costco Canada: $45 Off Kanto FMX2 Articulating Wall Mount For 37 80 TVs (Now $90 | Was $135)Costco Canada is offering an awesome deal on the Kanto FMX2 articulating wall mount for flat panel televisions from 37 inches to 80 inches. For a couple of days, you can get it for just $89.99, which is a $45 reduction from its original price of $134.99.

This is the kind of deal that even if you don’t need it right now, you should probbaly just get it for later, especially if you’re planning on buying a new flat panel television or are moving into a new place this summer.

I have been looking into getting a TV for my bedroom but it would be extremely inconvenient to place it anywhere else than on the wall. The room is already jam-packed with a queen-sized bed, two nightstand, a pack ‘n play and even two dressers… definitely no room for anything else but the wall have plenty of space! Costco Canada: $45 Off Kanto FMX2 Articulating Wall Mount For 37 80 TVs (Now $90 | Was $135)

As a full-motion wall mount made of solid steel construction, the Kanto can be tilted, swivelled left or right as well as extended. Plus, it even comes with a cable management system and can hold TVs up to 130 pounds. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

Great unit. I easily installed a 55″ LCD TV on a brick wall. Being able to pull the tv out so far from the wall makes it easy to hook up new components. Make sure you buy very long cables (HDMI, USB, ect). Top quality, better than anything they sell in the warehouse or other electronic stores

Price Comparison

Looking to compare prices, I found this same TV wall mount only on Amazon Canada for as much as $239.99! I also checked Best Buy for full-motion TV mounts and the cheapest I found for the same size is the Sonax TV mount for as much as $149.98.

As usual, Costco offers absolutely free shipping, which is always a great plus.
