WalMart Canada: RCA 32″ Direct LED HDTV Television Only $169 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on September 23, 2014 at 10:00 AM

WalMart Canada: RCA 32 Direct LED HDTV Television Only $169 (EXPIRED)

With the recent influx of television deals, it would be a difficult choice to not replace your older CRT TVs. Though our tube shaped televisions have provided us with plenty of years of entertainment, flat screen TVs are becoming even more affordable. For example, today’s deal at WalMart is for an RCA 32″ Direct LED HDTV compatible TV, and it’s only $169! This 32″ RCA  LED TV normally costs $279 at Canadian Tire, which shows you just how affordable this TV is. You’ll also get free shipping from WalMart for this 32″ TV!

This is the perfect TV for a bedroom, a garage, or a basement setup. 32 inches is plenty of room for a secondary TV, especially if you plan to just use it to play video games on. The RCA 32″ Direct LED television also has 2 HDMI inputs and a VGA input, so you can easily hook up your laptop or desktop computer to this TV. Though it can only display up to a 720p resolution, you can’t go wrong for $169.

My brother actually has a 32″ LCD TV set up in his home gym, and he finds it incredibly useful. It may not have the best quality, but he still enjoys it for what it is – a way to watch television while working out. Plus, he purchased it roughly 5 years ago for about $550, so you can really see the value in WalMart’s current deal.

I’ve included 2 brief reviews of the RCA 32″ Direct LED TV from satisfied WalMart customers below:

I am very satisfied with this 32 inch RCA TV. The price was great and the free delivery very speedy. I have not been a regular Walmart customer, but will certainly shop on-line with you again.

I bought this TV online at an AWESOME price. It was the best price anywhere. I have continued looking at the price in flyers over the past few weeks and it is at least $50.00 more in all other stores when it is on sale.I loved the free shipping too.

This TV is an affordable solution for those that want to replace the old tube television that’s in their basement. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Sony Canada: Buy A 4K Television And Get A Free PS4 Last Of Us Bundle

Posted by on September 19, 2014 at 8:00 AM

Sony Canada: Buy A 4K Television And Get A Free PS4 Last Of Us Bundle

One of the first things that gamers will do when they get a brand spanking new TV is – you guessed it, they’ll hook up a video game system to it. With today’s deal from Sony, whether you’re a video game fan or not, you’ll be able to do just that! For a limited time, when you purchase a 4K TV from Sony, you’ll also get a free Playstation 4 System with The Last Of Us Remastered! You’ll also qualify for free shipping. If you’re in the market for these newer luxury television sets, it never hurts to get a free PS4 system bundle with it!

4K televisions are the next big thing. They literally have to be seen to be believed! The detail that you can see in the screen of a 4K TV is so intricate, it’s incredible! Even seeing a delicious food dish on a 4K television screen will make your mouth water – the picture is that crisp and clear!

One of the cheapest 4K TVs that you can currently get from The Sony Store is the 49” X850B 4K Ultra HD TV, which is currently on sale for $2099.99 (the regular price is $2299.99). Add in the PS4 Last Of Us bundle (a $449.99 value), and you`d be saving a total of $649.99 – it`s a great bonus for such a big purchase.

I first saw a 4K TV demo at a Best Buy location half a year ago, and it still amazes me. I’m trying my best not to exaggerate, but if you have a chance to see one that’s on display at a retail location like Future Shop or Best Buy, I think you’ll be very impressed with the picture quality on them.

At this time, they’re still pretty pricey, but 4K TVs are still relatively new to the market. At Future Shop, a similar 49 inch Sony 4K TV is currently on sale for $1999.99 ($500 off), while another one is $2129.80 on Amazon. Listed below is a snippet of a review of the 49” X850B 4K Ultra HD TV from a satisfied Sony Store customer:

The colours are bright, motion is smooth, blacks are deep, and I have yet to see an artifact that isn’t the result of Internet streaming. The 4K is very impressive. There isn’t a ton of 4K content out there, but from what I have been able to watch on this unit (a few Netflix shows), this TV handles 4K wonderfully.

For a new and exciting TV experience, perhaps a 4K TV would best suit your needs. If you don`t have the funds for it now, there`s always Boxing Day! Here’s to a great weekend, Bargainmoosers! Happy hunting!

Amazon Canada: Animaniacs Full Seasons Only $11.49

Posted by on June 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Amazon Canada: Animaniacs Full Seasons Only $11.49

Take yourself back to the nineties and immerse yourself in the animated show Animaniacs, getting each full season for only $11.49, instead of the regular price of $41.19.

I never did watch this show (I guess I was too old in the nineties!), but was reading the rave reviews about it online. Amazon has quite a few good reviews about this show, which looks like it is great for all ages. Parents who watched it in the nineties now want to get it for their kids to watch. I love doing this with shows I loved as a kid, and my kids have definitely seen The Wizard of Oz, E.T., and the Flintstones along with many other movies and television shows I enjoyed as a child. For only $11.49 a season, there is no reason to get your kids interested in something different. Or, you can relive your own youth and watch this yourself.

Even if you haven’t watched this, you might like it. It was an award-winning show that is great for kids because of the wacky characters and adults will like the wittiness of the dialogue aimed to go over the kids heads. This reminds me of Spongebob Squarepants, or even some of the Pixar movies. It’s really great when you can sit down with your kids, watch movies and actually have a good time along with them.

Each season is on sale:

For some reason Amazon has volume 2 listed as $11.49, but when you click to it, it comes up a different price. This link might take you to the page to buy it for $11.49.

If you are also interested in other nineties shows, Pinky & The Brain is also on sale for $11.49 from $41.19. There are a few volumes of this one and other fun older shows, so check out the selection.

Shipping is free on orders over $25, so treat yourself to all four volumes.

Amazon Canada: Northern Exposure: The Complete Series for $88.99

Amazon Canada: Northern Exposure: The Complete Series for $88.99

Still looking for a Father’s Day gift? If he is a fan of the 90′s tv show Northern Exposure this would be a great gift set. The original price is $229, on sale for $88.99, that’s a 61% savings.

Although I did not watch the show religiously the first time around, in fact it was more background noise when I would be visiting my older sister, it is on my list of shows to check out. As I recall, this series had a fairly good fan base back in the day. As expressed by so many reviewers on line, the show holds promise that it withstands the test of time with the clever script writing, character development and overall love for the show, which definitely makes me want to move it up on my list of tv shows to watch.

This is great story and character driven tv, an absolutely classic series. The characters are endearing, quirky, and memorable. This is especially interesting to watch in this format because the story stands out so much more than watching on tv with commercials.

If Northern Exposure isn’t quite up your alley, Amazon.ca has another tv series box set coming up on their Deal of the Day: Everybody Loves RaymondThe set will be 58% off tomorrow, one day only.

Another tv show with a loyal fan base, as evident by this reviewer:

This is a great compilation at a good price and we are enjoying it immensely. We are viewing all shows of all 9 seasons in order which adds something to the whole experience. We are having a lot of really good laughs.

Both options include FREE Super Saver Shipping as they are over the $25 minimum.

(Expiry: 11th June 2014 for Norther Exposure and 12th June 2014 for Everybody Loves Raymond)

Prime Cables Canada: Heavy Duty Tilt Wall Mount Bracket Only $30 (Was $115)

Posted by on June 7, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Prime Cables Canada: Heavy Duty Tilt Wall Mount Bracket Only $30 (Was $115)

While this isn’t the sexiest and most exciting deal I’ve ever seen, I bet it will be one of the more helpful ones. Prime Cables has an all in one, heavy duty tilt wall mount bracket with safety for a 37″ to 70″ TV on for only $29.99, with an original price of $114.99. This saves you 73%!

To add to this deal, Prime Cables is also throwing in a free screen cleaner kit (worth $7.99) and a free six foot HDMI 1.4 cable (worth $14.99).

Trying to price compare this item is like trying to get a toddler to go to bed. There are so many different options and varying price ranges, it makes it almost impossible to tell if there are cheaper units. I did see in the reviews that people thought the original price was quite high, but the sale price is a good price for this item.

We recently got rid of an old tube TV we had that was probably 200lbs. It worked fine but my husband refused to move it to our new house as every time he wanted to move it to a different location in the house, he needed a couple of friends to help. He also felt it was a safety hazard in case a child pulled it onto himself. We are planning on getting a new TV that will be put up on the wall, and this bracket is just what we need. We don’t want to spend a ton on the TV, so spending only $30 on the bracket is perfect.

Shipping at Prime Cables is free once you spend $49, but the great thing is that there are five stores with one checkout, so if you needed something from 123 Ink Cartridges or Phone Gala and more, you can order from them and this will get you up to the shipping minimum threshold.

Costco Canada: $45 Off Kanto FMX2 Articulating Wall Mount For 37″ – 80″ TVs (Now $90 | Was $135)

Posted by on June 4, 2014 at 10:00 PM

Costco Canada: $45 Off Kanto FMX2 Articulating Wall Mount For 37 80 TVs (Now $90 | Was $135)Costco Canada is offering an awesome deal on the Kanto FMX2 articulating wall mount for flat panel televisions from 37 inches to 80 inches. For a couple of days, you can get it for just $89.99, which is a $45 reduction from its original price of $134.99.

This is the kind of deal that even if you don’t need it right now, you should probbaly just get it for later, especially if you’re planning on buying a new flat panel television or are moving into a new place this summer.

I have been looking into getting a TV for my bedroom but it would be extremely inconvenient to place it anywhere else than on the wall. The room is already jam-packed with a queen-sized bed, two nightstand, a pack ‘n play and even two dressers… definitely no room for anything else but the wall have plenty of space! Costco Canada: $45 Off Kanto FMX2 Articulating Wall Mount For 37 80 TVs (Now $90 | Was $135)

As a full-motion wall mount made of solid steel construction, the Kanto can be tilted, swivelled left or right as well as extended. Plus, it even comes with a cable management system and can hold TVs up to 130 pounds. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

Great unit. I easily installed a 55″ LCD TV on a brick wall. Being able to pull the tv out so far from the wall makes it easy to hook up new components. Make sure you buy very long cables (HDMI, USB, ect). Top quality, better than anything they sell in the warehouse or other electronic stores

Price Comparison

Looking to compare prices, I found this same TV wall mount only on Amazon Canada for as much as $239.99! I also checked Best Buy for full-motion TV mounts and the cheapest I found for the same size is the Sonax TV mount for as much as $149.98.

As usual, Costco offers absolutely free shipping, which is always a great plus.

Best Buy & Future Shop Canada: B2G1 Free On All TV Shows

Posted by on May 28, 2014 at 9:30 AM

Best Buy & Future Shop Canada: B2G1 Free On All TV Shows

Both Best Buy and Future Shop have a fantastic deal on right now. Buy two TV seasons and get one free. This is a great opportunity for you to stock up on a few seasons of a show you love or have been meaning to watch.

With Summer comes bland TV (mainly). With the exception of True Blood and Orange is the New Black starting new seasons this Summer, there is not usually much else on. And, there is good reason for that considering it is so nice out and you shouldn’t really be sitting in front of the tube. But, on rainy days and tired evenings, you do want to have the option to veg in front of the TV. What I also like about DVDs or BluRays of TV seasons is that you can take them with you camping or to the cottage.

The sale is only on select titles but I see a huge range of titles available. One of my favourite shows and a must-see for anyone who hasn’t seen it is Dexter. Both places has the first season, second and third season on for $34.99 each. But, here’s the kicker – Amazon sells these seasons cheaper than Best Buy and Future Shop but when you add the cost of the three seasons at Amazon versus paying for two seasons at Best Buy or Future Shop with one season free, you get the same price. But, this isn’t true for all of the TV series available in this sale, so you might want to price compare with Amazon before you shop to see what is the best deal.

I really want to see the series 24, which Future Shop is selling for $14.99 a season, as compared to Amazon, who sells it for $19.97 a season. This makes Future Shop by far the winner of the price wars, because a total for three seasons would be $29.98 at Future Shop, compared to $59.97 at Amazon.

Both Best Buy and Future Shop will ship on purchases over $20, which could also impact where you might buy your shows since there are shows with prices as low as $11.99 and with Amazon shipping for free at $25 or more, you wouldn’t even reach that threshold.

Amazon Canada: Shameless Seasons 1 & 2 Only $20 (Was $63)

Posted by on February 19, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Amazon Canada: Shameless Seasons 1 & 2 Only $20 (Was $63)

For only $19.99, you can get a Blu-Ray copy of seasons one and two of Shameless. The regular price for this item is $62.48.

I’m excited to blog this deal, as although I can’t get it because I don’t have anything to play Blu-Rays on, I absolutely love this show. If you’ve never seen it, now is your chance to get in a Shameless marathon and pick up the first two seasons very inexpensively.

Shameless is a show that was first started in the U.K., and I believe it is still going there. It did so well they made a U.S. version, which is quite behind the U.K. version. The Gallaghers are a family living in the hood in Chicago with addict parents and six kids. The oldest siblings are doing their best to raise and feed the younger ones, all the while dealing with all of the crap that goes on around addiction, poverty and growing up. It sounds like a sad show, but it is so funny that I guess you’d call it dark humour.

It has some really great actors/actresses in it like William H. Macy and Joan Cusack, but you’ll really love the lesser-know characters. My favourite is Lip, who is really cute in a disheveled sort of way.

Shipping won’t be free unless you spend another $5, so you might as well pick yourself out something else nice.

Amazon Canada: Homicide: Life On The Street Complete Series Only $60 (Was $170)

Amazon Canada: Homicide: Life On The Street Complete Series Only $60 (Was $170)

If you are looking for an awesome deal on a no-holds barred show, then Amazon has a treat for you. Get Homicide: Life On The Street, the complete series for only $59.99, was $169.99.

This deal is only available today, so you want to snap it up quickly. There are 35 discs included in this set for seven seasons, which means almost 100 hours of viewing! This one will keep you busy over the long winter months.

This show is highly rated and it is a #1 boxset seller at Amazon. I’ve never seen it, but am always looking for the next great show to watch. It has won numerous awards, including Emmys and has a number of great actors.

One reviewer who loves the show said:

Homicide: Life on the Street is a gritty, no-holds-barred take on the day-to-day interactions of members of the Baltimore Police Homicide Unit. The officers involved in the unit (for the first 4 seasons at the very least) are generally not the typical “beautiful people” that too often populate most TV dramas. The strength of the series is that the characters are real people. They have good days and bad, they make mistakes and have triumphs, and they live, breathe, and sometimes die. The series strikes a good balance between focusing on the character interaction and focusing on the plot the players are moving through. The intensity of being in “the Box” (the interrogation room) is phenomenal. You feel like you are right there sometimes, trying to break the criminal sitting across from the detectives.

Shipping is free for this item.

Amazon Canada: Blu-Ray TV & Movies Sale

Amazon Canada: Blu Ray TV & Movies Sale

Amazon Canada is having a blu-ray sale with excellent deals on TV collections and movies. You can view the full sale through the link below or peruse my husband’s ‘best of’ list.

My husband actually sent me this deal (thanks Daniel) because he is a huge movie fan and always on the lookout for great deals to add to his collection. The following is what he considered the best of this sale:

There are some great deals on complete series in this sale as highlighted above. Do note that prices could fluctuate or change at anytime, Amazon has a habit of doing that. My favourite of the above deals has got to be the Harry Potter deal, you are essentially paying $10 a film for the blu-ray version. Just think of all the great extras you get too.

Amazon Canada provides free shipping on all orders of $25 or more.

Dell Canada: $550 Off LG 55 Full HD LED TV Now $800

Dell Canada is offering $550 off a 55 inch LG LS5600 Full HD 1080p, 120Hz LED TV to turn your living room into the ultimate home entertainment center. Originally $1,349.99, it is on sale for $799.99 with free shipping.

I’m not sure what I can tell you about this TV. It has a huge 55″ screen and full 1080p HD for all those blu ray movies you own. It is 2D (not 3D), but for the price I think this is a fantastic buy. I found the same model in a smaller size (47″) for only $100 cheaper on clearance. For that extra $100 you are getting 8″ more of screen, so I think that is pretty reasonable.

This TV doesn’t really have many bells and whistles. It does have its own media center built in, but that is about it for the special features. It specializes in being an affordable giant HDTV made by a dependable brand.

Enjoy free shipping on all your Dell orders.
