Travel Zoo Canada: 50% Off Medieval Times Tickets

Travel Zoo Canada: 50% Off Medieval Times Tickets

If you are going to be visiting Toronto this summer, one show you shouldn’t miss is Medieval Times. I say this having never gone but having heard rave reviews from friends. With this hot deal, I’m considering buying tickets for my son’s 8th birthday as he would absolutely love to go to this! Regularly $79 for one adult ticket, you can get the ticket (which includes your dinner) for only $40 at Travel Zoo.

Children’s tickets are also discounted, regularly $55.93 and now only $29.50. With these discounted tickets you get the show, along with a four-course dinner, which includes:

  • tomato bisque
  • garlic bread
  • oven-roasted chicken
  • sweet buttered corn
  • potato
  • pastry of the castle
  • two non-alcoholic drinks

If you want to treat yourself like royalty, there are special Royalty tickets that includes all of the above plus:

  • VIP seating
  • a commemorative program
  • knight’s cheering banner
  • Behind the Scenes DVD for your party

Once you’ve bought your tickets through Travel Zoo, you’ll have to call to confirm your reservation. You can see a complete calendar with show dates and times before you purchase. It looks like there are lots of shows available even though 1,000 vouchers have been purchased from Travel Zoo.

While perusing the Medieval Times site, I noticed that you can join the birthday fellowship to get a free admission on your birthday. This means I can buy one less ticket and take my son for free on his birthday and the total I’d pay for the rest of us would be $140 for all five of us to go and get dinner. I usually spend about $100 on dinner out with the kids and we don’t get anything even close to as fun as this.

The tickets are good until September 7th. If you have guests coming to Toronto from out of town, this would be a fantastic way to treat them. The reviews on Travel Zoo say that 98% of reviewers enjoyed Medieval Times and I’d say that is pretty glowing.

Disney On Ice Was $28 | Now $17 With Travel Zoo Promo Code @ Ticketmaster

Disney On Ice Was $28 | Now $17 With Travel Zoo Promo Code @ Ticketmaster

With Christmas less than two days away, you are going to be hard-pressed to do online shopping and get your items in time. But, you can order tickets to an event and get that in time with ease. If you want something to do with the kids (or even with other adults), consider Disney on Ice. You can use this TravelZoo coupon code to get tickets for $17 with a regular price of $28 and $35 with a regular price of $45.

Click here to get your tickets @ Ticketmaster now

  • Coupon Code: TZ2014
  • Discount: $17 and $35 tickets
  • Expiry: 28th December 2014

How fun and what a special night it would be if you surprised your kids with Disney on Ice tickets for Christmas Eve or even Christmas Day? Tickets are available as early as today, all the way until December 28th.

Finding your seats is easy as you choose your wanted day and click see tickets. From there, enter the promo code to see the available seats at these rates. I also noticed that there is a deal for kids tickets for $20 in the $35 seats. This means your family of four could see the show in fairly good seats for $110.

Unfortunately, there are ticket fees on top, which is normal with Ticketmaster. These fees vary up to $10 a ticket and another $5 on top of your order. The bright spot in this is that you are basically saving these fees with the coupon code.

The show that is playing is Treasure Trove, which features all of the Disney princesses, plus other favourites from The Lion King, Alice in Wonderland and more.

It is playing at the Rogers Centre in Toronto and if you aren’t familiar with Toronto, there are some great restaurants down there that you could go for dinner afterwards with the family. I also love seeing all the lights downtown Toronto at this time of year. Your kids will not forget this.

For all Ticketmaster coupon codes, you’ll want to visit the forum.

Travel Zoo Canada: $79 Toronto Hotel With 14 Days of Parking

Posted by on June 23, 2014 at 2:30 PM

Travel Zoo Canada: $79 Toronto Hotel With 14 Days of Parking

Get a hotel room by the Toronto airport, plus 14 days of free parking and breakfast for only $79!

If you are going away this summer or sometime in the future (for some reason I don’t see an expiry date!), this is a great deal for you. Parking at the airport is notoriously expensive. I’ve flown out of Pearson airport a number of times, trying both the park right at the airport way and the satellite lot with shuttle way. Both ways were expensive and the second option was also very time consuming. Waiting to get a shuttle back after a long flight proved treacherous, and even though it came every 30 minutes and my friend and I were the first in line, the shuttle went a little past us, the crowd rushed to get on and we didn’t get a spot! We ended up paying a taxi $25 to take us to the parking lot, which forfeited any savings we had made parking farther away. I was not too happy about this.

When I got married and was flying to Jamaica, it was January and I had a two-hour drive to the airport for an early flight. On my mind was that there would be a snow storm or an accident blocking the highway, essentially making me miss my wedding. Before you go thinking I’m paranoid, this actually happened to me on another trip where I got on the plane right before they closed the doors after sitting on the 401 for over two hours waiting for an accident at my exit to be cleared on a beautiful summer Sunday morning. I even tried to convince my friend to park her car on the side of the highway and we’d hop the fence and get a taxi but she refused. Luckily we just made the flight because it was on this vacation where I met my husband-to-be!

Anyway, take it easy, stay the night in the hotel, get up leisurely and have breakfast and let the complimentary shuttle take you over to the airport, while your car sits for free in their parking lot. The hotel is the Hotel Indigo, and it looks like the regular cost of this deal is $254, so this is quite the savings no matter how you look at it.

Travel Zoo Canada: $29 Off Per Adult For A Niagara Falls Helicopter Tour

Travel Zoo Canada: $29 Off Per Adult For A Niagara Falls Helicopter Tour

If you are heading to Niagara Falls anytime soon and looking for something fun and unique to do, consider taking a helicopter site seeing tour. Imagine seeing the falls from above, where most people don’t get to see them! If you thought the price was too steep for your budget, how about saving $29 off each person with Travel Zoo’s printable coupon? Instead of spending $137 per adult, you’ll pay only $108 for this once in a lifetime experience.

I think this deal would be amazing for a number of reasons. I’ve lived in Ontario my whole life and seen the falls probably 30 times, but I’ve never seen it from a helicopter and have always wanted to. My husband and I often go there for a quick getaway together, and this would be something so fun to surprise him with. Just my husband and I would save $58. If you have out-of-town visitors, what better way to impress them than a ride in a helicopter over Niagara Falls? A proposal inside of the Niagara helicopter would also be truly unforgettable. What if you had a bunch of your friends standing beside the falls holding Will You Marry Me signs?

Looking at the Niagara Helicopters site, I see that the flight is only 12 minutes long but takes you over the whirlpools, over all of the Falls and even dips down a bit to see the falls from the front, where you really can’t see them except from an aviation vehicle. It then flies over the city and lands, giving you ample opportunity to snap lots of amazing photos.

Check for more Travel Zoo coupons in our forum, we might be able to save you a ton of money on your next trip!

TravelZoo Canada: Algonquin 3-Day Adventure For 2 With Meals Only $700

TravelZoo Canada: Algonquin 3 Day Adventure For 2 With Meals Only $700

If you are looking for the trip of a lifetime in your own country, Algonquin Park is the place to go. It is absolutely gorgeous, rugged and an unspoiled gem in Ontario. Travel Zoo has a fantastic deal on for a 3-day Algonquin adventure for two including meals for only $699, was $1056.

I’ve been to Algonquin Park a multitude of times. While I’m not a back-country camper because I need amenities like showers and toilets, I’m sure it is quite the amazing adventure. I’ve been in all seasons and Summer and Fall are my favourite. Spring could mean black flies, and they get very nasty up there on cloudy days. Winter could mean not the greatest driving conditions to get north. When my husband and I were first dating, we made our way to Algonquin Park and right before we entered a 40km stretch where there is nothing, he put windshield washer fluid in the coolant tank. He realized it as we were driving and luckily we didn’t break down, but I sure broke a sweat.

In case you are wondering, I’ve seen a number of moose in my travels to Algonquin, along with a number of other wildlife.

This deal is actually available for May and June or you can pay more for an extra night in July and August. So here’s what you get: three days and two nights in a cabin retreat for $699 or four days and three nights in a cabin retreat for $899 (both with different availability dates). On top of that you’ll get all meals and excursions including canoeing, biking, hiking with expert guides. With the three-day package you’ll also get a $50 gas card, $25 credit for Highlander Brew Co. and $25 meal credit at Iron Skillet restaurant.

TravelZoo Canada: $59 For a Niagara Falls Escape

Posted by on January 16, 2014 at 8:30 AM

TravelZoo Canada: $59 For a Niagara Falls Escape

I found this fantastic deal for a trip to Niagara Falls on Travel Zoo. For only $59 you get a one-night stay in a hotel, plus a ton of other credits including meal and gaming credits, which total up to $225 on their own.

I recently stayed at the Best Western Fallsview Hotel (which is part of this deal) as part of a deal I bought last summer. I paid about $80 for my deal and got way less in credits. The hotel is fine – it was clean and had enough space to fit my family of five. We were able to walk to quite a few attractions, or use the WEGO passes that are also included with the deal (on two-night stays). I do believe we had to pay extra for parking, but this is the norm at any Niagara Falls hotel.

For only $59 you’ll get:

  • one night stay at Best Western Fallsview on a Sunday to Friday
  • $70 Ruth Chris Steakhouse dining voucher
  • $20 Outback Steakhouse voucher
  • $10 IHOP voucher
  • $100 of game play at Captain Jack’s Pirates Cove entertainment complex and admission for four to Cannon Ball Blasters and Time Freak
  • $25 slot play voucher at Fallsview Casino

If you decided you wanted to go on a Saturday night, pay $69 instead of $59. If you want to stay for two nights, you’ll pay $99 total for Sunday to Thursday or $119 arriving on a Friday or Saturday. You can even travel during spring break (March 7 – 16) for $75 a night. The two-day or the spring break deals also give you a $20 TGI Friday credit and WEGO shuttle passes for two and an additional $10 for IHOP. Spring breakers also get four IMAX tickets.

This deal is so good, I think I’m going to talk my husband into it for March Break at the Falls. The Captain Jacks place is so much fun for both the kids and the adults and $100 will get you a good 1-2 hours of fun. We also did the laser tag, which was such a fun experience for all of us. Our voucher included meal credits at The Keg and we ended up having two of them (one from another package we bought) and the waiter let us use both. I’ve never eaten at Ruth Chris, but I heard it is fantastic and $70 is a pretty sweet credit especially considering it is more than you are paying total for this deal.

Travel Zoo has a gift idea section, with some hot deals that you could give as gifts this year.

This section is hugely populated with deal ideas and you can sort by region, type of experience and even look at the top staff picks. I think a getaway or other experience makes a sweeter gift than some electronic device or small appliance that may never get used. Travel makes us richer, don’t forget that!

Travel Zoo Canada: Whistler 1-Night Stay & Lift Tickets Only $269 (Was $534)

Posted by on November 6, 2013 at 8:00 PM

Travel Zoo Canada: Whistler 1 Night Stay & Lift Tickets Only $269 (Was $534)

Travel Zoo is showcasing an amazing deal for the Whistler Four Seasons resort in Whistler. For as low as $269, you’ll get a one-night stay and two adult lift tickets (valued at $200). There might also be some other perks, depending on the dates you book.

The pricing all depends on what date you book and range from $269 to $509, but still include the free lift tickets. As well, if you are staying from November 28 – December 25, January 2-23, February 2-6 and March 2 – April 12 you’ll also receive complimentary parking ($35 value per day), and two-for-one breakfast ($30 value per day), along with the two lift tickets.

I’d love to go to Whistler and take my kids skiing or snowboarding. I’d also just love to go on my own with my husband or a group of friends. What’s great about this deal is that the lift tickets are pretty pricey, so getting them included is a great bonus, on top of the discounted price of the room.

The hotel has some sweet features including steam room, hot tubs and a dedicated ski concierge. I am all about not really travelling over the Christmas break or March break, but would rather miss the crowds and take my kids out of school instead. A week somewhere like this is more of an education (well a different type) than stuff they could make up at school. This way I also get the better deals on pricing!

Travel Zoo Canada: $3 For 25% Off Dining In NYC

Posted by on July 6, 2013 at 4:00 PM

Travel Zoo Canada: $3 For 25% Off Dining In NYC

I frequently peruse the deals on Travel Zoo, and this one more than interested me. If you are heading to New York City this summer (or maybe this deal might convince you to go), buy this Travel Zoo deal to get 25% off your bill at more than 50 of the top New York restaurants. Your savings could be huge and meanwhile, you’ll only pay $3!

I’d love to head to NYC with the hubs. It is a great choice for a couple with kids (who will be left behind) because it isn’t too far away and it is an exciting city, which would be fine to visit for just a few days. I am such a foodie and I would totally want to eat at all the greatest restaurants, because that is a huge part of the appeal of New York.

With this Travel Zoo deal, you can buy a savings certificate, hand it in at the end of your meal, and you’ll get 25% off your bill, no matter the total! If you go with a group of friends and you spend $400, you’ll save $100 off your bill, making your voucher worth $97! You can buy as many as you like, but can only use one per meal. This means if you are going to a few different restaurants, you’ll want to buy one for each meal. You could save thousands by the end of your trip. What’s even more amazing is that the savings aren’t just on food, you’ll save 25% off your drinks and wine too! Usually these deals exclude drinks, are only valid for one person per table and there are lots of other restrictions. You can use this voucher for a table of up to eight people.

The only caveats are that you’ll have to use them during July and August. Restaurants where these certificates are valid include top spots like:

  • Bann
  • Bice
  • Duke’s
  • Sons of Essex
  • Le Midi
  • Slide
  • Alewife

Can I go to all of them, please? It would be easy to research the restaurants reviews online to decide where you want to go. There are many choices per district, too.

Travel Zoo: Atlantis Bahamas Only $149/Night

Posted by on June 4, 2013 at 5:00 PM

Travel Zoo: Atlantis Bahamas Only $149/Night

Atlantis in the Bahamas is having its biggest sale of the year with astonishing prices for stays in their hotel. These are the lowest prices ever advertised for them!

There are two places I really want to take my children as soon as possible. I’d love to travel the world with them, but these are more affordable and realistic options. The first is Disney, as they’ve begged me a million times to go there already. The second is the Atlantis Resort in the Bahamas. I have visited there while staying in the Bahamas and it is definitely a sight to behold. There is so much to do there, kids and adults will not be bored for even a second. I’m really considering talking my husband into this deal, since the prices are just so great!

With travel for this fall, from September 2nd to November 2nd, I think that is the absolute best time to go. Resorts are less busy in the fall and the weather is beautiful, not too hot and not too cool. Choose between the iconic Royal Towers for only $149 (reg. $449) a night or the five-star Cove Atlantis for $279 (reg. $640) a night. Prices are in U.S. dollars.

You can choose better view rooms for just a little more. I priced out five nights for my family (two adults, three children) and it came to only $596 plus $286.80 in fees and taxes for a total of $882.80. Usually only four people are allowed in a room, but because one of my children is under five, he is allowed and we don’t have to book a second room.

Although you don’t get food with this deal, you get so much more and for only $149 a night, you can’t even get a deal this good in Canada or the U.S. This deal includes admission to the 141 acre waterpark, which is one of the largest in the world, access to the lagoons, use of eleven different pools, three private beaches and two river rides. They have a giant aquarium, which is also great to do on rainy days and is free for Atlantis guests.

You’ll also get $25 free to play in the slots, a special twilight rate for golf and special rates for kid’s adventures.

Ok off to convince hubby… stay tuned!

Travel Zoo: $300 Off an Algonquin Getaway For 2

Posted by on April 24, 2013 at 9:00 AM

Travel Zoo: $300 Off an Algonquin Getaway For 2

Travel Zoo has an amazing deal on an Algonquin Getaway for two with travel this Spring or Summer.

If you’ve never visited Algonquin Park, I’m telling you that you are missing out. With a huge stretch of land full of wildlife, lakes and forests, this peaceful place is a must for any outdoors person. I’ve camped there a number of times, although I’m too chicken to do any sort of back country camping (I must stay connected). I’ve had friends who have done the backcountry thing and the experience has stayed with them throughout their lives. Algonquin Park is only a 2.5 hour drive from Toronto and four hour drive from Ottawa.

This deal includes an all-inclusive cabin adventure for two, with guided excursions and all meals and activities, starting at $669. You’ll stay at the Northern Edge Algonquin, which boasts a five-star rating on TripAdvisor. Here you can unwind by the lake in a wood-fired sauna, sit by the campfire or kayak across the beautiful blue abyss. At night, you’ll sleep on a feather duvet.

  • For $669, you’ll get three days and two nights with Friday or Monday arrivals in May or June (check for exact dates).
  • For $899, you’ll get four days and three nights, with arrivals Thursdays or Fridays in July or August.

Both deals are 30% off their regular price and include expert guides and all meals.

  • For $799, you’ll get get a four day, three night all-inclusive canoe safari excursion with one night in a private cabin and two in a private tent. This deal has arrivals on most Thursdays from June until September.

When you buy the voucher, you don’t have to decide on a date. Simply purchase your voucher and call the property to reserve.

Travel Zoo: $129 For A 4-Star Romantic Escape w/ Jacuzzi

Posted by on January 22, 2013 at 8:00 AM

Travel Zoo: $129 For A 4 Star Romantic Escape w/ Jacuzzi

Get a suite at the 4-star Hilton Niagara Falls with a jacuzzi for only $129 including dining credits and winery tours!

I was just looking for something like this, with my anniversary happening in four days and Valentine’s Day slowly creeping up. They say Niagara Falls is the spot for lovers and I’d have to agree. We’ve stayed in a jacuzzi room at this Hilton more than once and the experience was always amazing. Where else can you sit in a jacuzzi by a window and watch the majestic beauty of this natural landscape? And for only $129, why would you not?

This deal has a lot to offer, including a $75 dining credit at the Watermark Fallsview restaurant. I’ve eaten here and the food is very good, although pricey, but you have to expect that in Niagara Falls. The credit will get you one of your dinners paid for including drinks, so expect to spend about another $50 more depending on drinks. If you decide to leave the hotel, you can instead get a $40 credit at Brasa Brazilian Steakhouse, which sounds amazing. You also get a buffet breakfast for two at the Grand Caffe (worth $40) and a $10 lunch credit for Romano’s Macaroni Grill. My favourite part of this deal is the winery tours and tastings worth $40 at Peller Estates and Hillebrand wineries.

You can also choose to upgrade your room. The $129 deal includes one night in a two queen or one king jacuzzi room with city views. For $10 more get a two-bedroom deluxe suite with a jacuzzi, fireplace and city views. If you want fallsview, add another $20. These are all for stays Sunday to Thursday only.

You don’t have to decide right now when you will go, but you have to travel by March 22nd. There are some blackout dates, so read the deal carefully. You also have to pay for parking, which starts at $20 a night.

The hotel has an indoor pool, so if you decide not to venture out into the busy day and nightlife of the falls, you can relax, stay in your hotel and still be entertained.

TravelZoo – Great Place for Travel Deals

Posted by on January 19, 2013 at 12:00 PM

TravelZoo Great Place for Travel Deals

If you are looking to get away this summer you really should try subscribing to the Travelzoo newsletter. I have subscribed for a while now and they email out great deals on vacations, hotels, cruises and many other fabulous travel associated deals.

I love their top 20 deals. You can get deals for anywhere and everywhere. If you can’t go very far you can just subscribe to deals within your own province for a ‘stay-cation.’

Here are some of the deals that I have seen lately in their newsletters:

  • $99 – Luxe Vermont Retreat w/$50 in Credits, Reg. $309
  • $79 – Las Vegas: Massive Suite at 5-Star Hotel
  • US $899 – 14-Night Alaska Cruise w/$150 Credit, Save $300
  • $469 & up – Costa Rica All-Inclusive Beach Vacations w/Air
  • $99 – Ottawa Hotel near Parliament Hill, $60 Off

There are some really fabulous deals that they will find for you – saving you both time and money. I successfully saved over $200 on a downtown hotel in NY a few years ago and it was a major score! It was only a few blocks from Times Square and the place was gorgeous. The price was incredible too!

Travel costs a lot of cash so travel deals can often save a huge amount of money! That is why I highly suggest signing up for their newsletter – travel costs fluctuate often and these fluctuations can cost or save you hundreds of dollars. We would prefer you save the money.
