TopBox Canada: The Kits Limited Edition Winter Guide Box Only $35 ($115 Value) & Free Shipping

TopBox Canada has released The Kit’s Limited Edition Winter Guide Box for just $35 with free shipping. The box full of winter goodies has an estimated value of $115 – so you are getting your money’s worth in this beauty box.

This is an awesome box full of deluxe samples that will give your skin a new lease on life. I particularly like this beauty box as it does not come with a magazine subscription. I don’t know about you, but I primarily interested in the cosmetics, not another stack of magazines I never read. This beauty box comes loaded with at least three full-size products and many deluxe samples including: Read the rest of this entry »

Topbox Canada: Limited Edition Beauty Boxes Starting @ $20 & Free Shipping

Topbox Canada: Limited Edition Beauty Boxes Starting @ $20 & Free Shipping

TopBox Canada is selling Beauty Boxes starting at just $20 with free shipping on all orders.

Topbox beauty boxes sell out very quickly – the boxes I was looking at just a couple days ago are already sold out and a new one was introduced! Without further ado, here are the current beauty boxes for sale.

Limited Edition The Kit Spring Hair Guide Box - $20

This limited edition spring box features deluxe samples from some of the most popular names in hair care. This sample box includes:

  • REDKEN Braid Aid 03 Defining Lotion (50mL)
  • Joico Flip Turn Volumizing Finishing Spray (43g)
  • Marc Anthony Oil of Morocco Argan Oil Volume Shine Hairspray (43g)
  • Aveda Air Control Hair Spray (42g)
  • BaByliss PRO Argan Oil Treatment (59mL)
  • OGX Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo (60mL)

I really like Argan oil as a body lotion and think it would also be nice in my hair. These sample boxes are great because you get to try a variety of products without buying full-size of any of them.

Limited Edition Bobbi Brown Box – $27

Bobbi brown cosmetics are pretty popular, but it can be daunting to try out a new cosmetics company when they have an array of products. This Bobbi Brown box lets you sample six products: Soothing Cleansing Oil 15mL, Smokey Eye Mascara, Hydrating Eye Cream 3mL, High Shimmer Lip Gloss, and Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner Sample Card (includes Black Ink and Steel Ink) 1g. all of these are sample sizes that are generous to last you quite a few applications.

There are three other boxes still available (with many others already sold out). The Kit’s Limited Edition One-Minute Miracle Collection for $38 comes with a couple full size products. The Limited Edition LOULOU Spring Beauty Booster for $33 includes several full-size nail polishes and a magazine subscription. Lastly, The Kit’s Limited Edition Spring Skin Guide Box is my favourite and the most expensive at $40. I recognize many of the products including Cake Beauty Be Delectable Ultra Nourishing Hand Cream Assorted (60mL) and Tata Harper Skincare Regenerating Cleanser (15mL). Tata Harper is a luxury name in all natural skincare – I would love to try out her line.

These boxes also make excellent gifts for girlfriends, mothers, and friends who need to treat themselves. Try new products and find new favourites at the same time. As all boxes ship with free shipping, there is no additional expense.

TopBox: LOULOU Spring Beauty Booster Only $33 ($100 Value) & Free Shipping

TopBox: LOULOU Spring Beauty Booster Only $33 ($100 Value) & Free Shipping

TopBox Canada is full of great new beauty boxes! I picked out the LOULOU Spring Beauty Booster as it has a retail value of $100 but only costs $33 with free shipping.

This box is loaded full of goodies worth approximately $100. Included in the box is:

  • B.Kamins Bio Maple Lotion (7g)
  • Ceramic Glaze Mermaid’s Tale (14 mL)
  • Ceramic Glaze Shell Me All About It (14 mL)
  • Estée Lauder Little Black Primer (2.8 mL)
  • eyeko hydrogel Eye Patch (3 g)
  • Kiehl’s Hydro Plumping (5 mL)
  • Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream (1.2 mL)
  • Medusa Assorted Lip Gloss (6 mL)
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat (14 mL)
  • TheBalm Mary-Lou Manizer Bronzer (0.57 g)
  • Wella Professional Thermal Image (150 mL)

In my research, I found that the Wella Professional Thermal Image alone retails for around $19.95 and up to $22 at the places (In the US) I was looking. Ceramic Glaze nail polish retails for $11 per bottle at Shoppers Mart – and you receive two full size bottles. Even between these three items, your total value is over $40 already – and that is just three out of eleven products.

Along with the eleven products, you will also receive a four-month LOULOU physical magazine subscription or an eight-month digital subscription. The value of the subscription adds on a few dollars as well.

This is a great little bundle full of summer essentials. Mascara, lotion, nail polish, and bronzer are just a few of the items included.

Now, there are some other great boxes as well. There are a couple boxes for just $9 each that are well worth the cost. The FLARE Fearless Beauty Box and the FLARE Classic Beauty Box are well worth the under $10 price with free shipping. Each box comes with a coupon code for hair colour that has a retail value of up to $16. If you use the voucher code, you are already saving money and getting pretty much everything else for free. Each box includes two to three full sized products as well as some travel-sized products. I would estimate each box is worth at least $30 before you redeem the ‘up to $16 worth’ voucher.

These beauty boxes make a great gift for you or for friends. They are an excellent way to try out new products without always buying the full sized containers. Recently I tried a hair oil sample that I just loved, and it made me buy a full size bottle!

TopBox: 78% Off Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow – Now $5 & Free Shipping

Posted by on December 3, 2014 at 3:09 PM

TopBox: 78% Off Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow Now $5 & Free Shipping

TopBox Canada is selling Marsk Mineral Eyeshadow (1.2g) for just $5, originally $22.50. You receive approximately 78% off the original price and shipping is free as always.

Three of the four shades available are on sale:

  • Seaspray
  • Rich List
  • Black Comedy

This is just a great little deal and a fun way to spoil yourself on the cheap. Marsk Mineral Eyeshadows are 100% natural and cruelty free – they have never been tested on animals. The mineral-based loose powder has a creamy texture that blends well and creates a striking eye effect.

The Seaspray is fantastic for the girl who wants to be a mermaid, and the little Goth inside of me wants to buy the Black Comedy. I think Rich List is the gold colour eyeshade that would be glorious for holiday gatherings and other parties.

While these products do qualify for free shipping, which is what makes this deal even greater, they will not ship out until January 15th when the TopBox subscriptions ship. Thus, it will take a little patience to get your order unless you want to pay for shipping. Personally, I can wait.

There are some other good deals in the TopBox shop right now, but none quite as good as the eye shadow deal above. However, you may wish to add this Pari Beauty Eye Pencil Black to your cart for only $5, originally $12.

My favourite of the other deals would have to be the So Susan Intense Eye Shadow Palette with Coated Pigments for just $10, originally $29.96. You save 66% off the original price, which is a very good deal and it is such a pretty little palette.

In addition, this MeMeMe Cosmetics Shimmer Stack – Bronze is $2 off the regular price of $17 right now, pay only $15. I think you can do better with the deals above though.

Keep in mind that many of the limited edition holiday and winter boxes are out right now from TopBox. Anything you order now will ship on January 15th, 2015. While these will not make a good Christmas gift because you will not receive them until the New Year – they are a nice little gift all the same. I have several friends with birthdays in January. If I do not shop for them in November or December, I never seem to have any money come January.

Canadian Subscription Box Deals & Gift Ideas!

Canadian Subscription Box Deals & Gift Ideas!

It’s my mom’s birthday soon and I have been trying to think of a gift idea. She’s coming 69 and she doesn’t really “need” anything and it can be very difficult to think of a gift for her that she doesn’t already have. I was thinking about it just now and I came up with the idea of a subscription box for a couple of months. There are quite a few services in Canada which offer gift boxes… some not necessarily great for my mom, but these could be a good idea if you’re buying a gift for a friend or relative.

Here are some of the services that you can choose from and a quick word about each, as well as any special offers you might want to take advantage of:

Canadian Subscription Box Deals & Gift Ideas!

Cosmetics Subscriptions

This seems to be a very popular niche for subscription boxes. Here are a few beauty and cosmetics subscription boxes to note:

Luxe Box – This is a Canadian subscription box in which you get 7 or 8 trial sized beauty products, curated to match your beauty profile. The price of the Luxe Box is $26 for one box and that comes with free shipping. Prices drop if you subscribe for longer. I believe the Luxe Box operates quarterly rather than monthly.  There’s a gift option at checkout if you want to send a box as a pressie. I don’t know of any active coupon codes for these at the moment.

Topbox – This Canadian beauty box subscription will give you four hand-picked samples each month, for only $12 with free shipping – a very low price point. There is a waiting list for subscriptions though, it could take a few months before you get your first box, so it might not be ideal as a present unless you are planning this one well ahead in time.

Canadian Subscription Box Deals & Gift Ideas!

Pet Subscriptions

There are a few that I know of in this field: – these are a relatively new Canadian service, offering monthly dog goodies in a box. For any sized dog, it’s $29 for one month but the monthly costs fall if you subscribe for longer. There is also a shipping fee of $4.50 a month. They have a “gift” option at checkout so it makes it easy to gift a Bowzerbox. You can use Bowzer Box coupon code LP10 to get $10 off your first box. – while these are US based, they’re still good to ship to Canada. Prices of these pet subscription boxes start at $29 for the first month, plus $5 shipping to Canada. You can use the coupon code fbruv10 to get $10 off. There’s also a gift option available, so good to use for that purpose.

Canadian Subscription Box Deals & Gift Ideas!

Food & Drink Subscriptions

Food boxes are yummy!! There is quite a wide variety of foods you can get in this type of subscription – here are a few interesting options.

Treatsbox – This is a Canadian service which ships you a monthly box of candies and snacks, from popular brands such as  Hershey’s, Cadbury, Wonka and more. It’s only $30 with free shipping, and they’ve got the gift option at the checkout. The Treats Boxes look delicious and would make a super gift.

Munch Better – This is a Canadian snack subscription box which costs $19 per month, plus shipping fees. This service focusses on healthy snacks with high quality ingredients. Sadly, there are no coupons for these just now!

Parachute Coffee – This type of box makes a great gift for the coffee aficionado. Parachute offers a monthly box of hand-picked coffee from the best local coffee roasters for only $25 with free shipping. My partner would love to try this one.

Tea Sparrow – We’ve had coffee, what about tea? Tea Lovers may like to try out Tea Sparrow which offers a subscription box filled with 4 different loose leaf teas. It’s only $20 with free shipping and for that, you’ll get about 35 cups of tea. I watched the video on their site and it looks delicious! Follow the instructions on this post and you can get your first box for only $8.

Well Moosers, these are just a few different ideas of subscription gifts you could give as a gift. Have you any more thoughts? Have you gifted a subscription box, and if so, which one? Let us know in the comments below!

TopBox Canada: Limited Ed. LOULOU 10th Anniversary Collection – $35

Posted by on September 23, 2014 at 7:30 PM

TopBox Canada: Limited Ed. LOULOU 10th Anniversary Collection $35

TopBox Canada has released a new Limited Edition LOULOU 10th Anniversary Collection box for just $35 with free shipping. All boxes are shipped on the 15th of October 2014.

The box includes the following items. I have done a bunch of research and tried to find a monetary value for each full size item:

  • B. Kamins Bio-Maple Maple Sugar Body Scrub (12 g)
  • Barefoot Venus Pink Pepper Green Tea Cleanser (60 mL – full size) - $5.50
  • essie sleek stick (full size) – $12.99
  • essie Under The Twilight nail lacquer (full size) - $7.70
  • Eyeko Black Magic Mascara (4 mL)
  • MeMeMe – Elegant Eyes Eyeshadow Trio (full size) - $9.98
  • OSiS+ Session Label Dust It Flex Mattifying Powder (10 g)
  • philosophy hope in a jar moisturizer for all skin types (7 mL)
  • Teeez Easy On The Eyes Eyeliner – Black (full size) – $20
  • Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau De Parfum (1.5 mL)

You will also receive a four issue print magazine subscription or a 12-issue digital magazine subscription that can be gifted.

Even if we just add up the five full sized items I found, you would be paying $56.17 for just them. That totally excludes the other five deluxe samples you are getting out of this kit that most certainly have value. That is why these kits are awesome, you are saving a bundle and you get to try some new products and have a lot of fun while doing so.

While I was researching the prices for the full sized items, I ran across a reoccurring theme: these items are stupid difficult to get in Canada. While essie isn’t too bad and Barefoot Venus is actually made in Canada, brands like MeMeMe and Teeez are impossible to find on this continent. Thus, their prices are actually converted over from the currency I found them in. For MeMeMe, I found it in England and Teeez I found in the United States. While this may deter some buyers, the rarity of these brands in Canada peaks my interest. I love to own things that are different from anyone else!

One of the samples is also driving me wild, so if you do not like it send it my way! I have long wanted to try Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Eau De Parfum! The Opium scent is a classic and I am eager to experience the subtle differences between the original and the newer Black Opium. I expect this perfume to be delightful.

Topbox: Limited Edition Topbox Kits $40 – $49 (Up To $160 Value)

Posted by on June 17, 2014 at 8:00 PM

Topbox: Limited Edition Topbox Kits $40 $49 (Up To $160 Value)

Topbox Canada is offering limited edition TopBox Kits for only $40 to $49 when they each have a value of $140 to $160. To sweeten the deal, they throw in a free magazine subscription with each one and free shipping.

To clarify: these are available to non-subscribers of Topbox. You do not need to be a member of Topbox’s usual beauty box subscription service to buy one of these boxes. There are three new summer limited edition kits available:

Limited Edition The Kit Topbox

This kit includes 13 products to test out including well-known brands like Burt’s Bees and Marc Anthony along with some great cosmetic companies like China Glaze and GOSH Cosmetics. Enjoy products for your face, nails, hair, and skin. The kit will cost you just $49, and is valued at $160+. Receive a free one-year subscription to The Kit Magazine.

Limited Edition FLARE Hot Summer Picks

This kit includes 10 products for you to try from brands such as Shu Uemera, Aveda, and essie. Included in your box is a sampling of such decadent products like scented oil, gradual tan lotion, and even a pair of Blush Riley Drop Earrings from Jewels and Aces. The kit will cost you $40, and has a value of $140+. You will receive a free one-year subscription to Flare and free shipping. You also have the option of gifting the Flare subscription.

Limited Edition Chatelaine Topbox

This topbox is also valued at $140+ and is currently being offered for $40 with free shipping. It includes brands such as Ceramic Glaze, Be a Bombshell, Kiehl’s and Yves Rocher. There are nine products in all and seven of them are full size. The Sweet Pea Mango Papaya Soap looks the most interesting to me. You will also receive a free one-year subscription to Chatelaine magazine with your Topbox.

The last Topbox listed, the Limited Edition LOULOU Summer Topbox I blogged about before so you can click through that link and check it out. These three above are the new offerings and, indeed, the Chatelaine Topbox just started shipping on June 15th.

These Limited Edition TopBox Kits are a great way to sample new brands and products without paying full price. If you have a couple girlfriends, it is always nice to pick up a couple different boxes and split the contents based on skin shade and colour preference. I use to split beauty boxes with my Mom when I was younger.

Topbox: Limited Edition FLARE Mani-Pedi Kit – Only $25

Posted by on April 18, 2014 at 1:30 PM

Topbox: Limited Edition FLARE Mani Pedi Kit Only $25

I blogged about for the first time a couple days ago, and they have another limited edition kit I wanted to mention. The FLARE Mani-Pedi Kit is only $25 and comes with free shipping. You do not need to be a subscriber to purchase this kit.

Oddly enough, Topbox does not give the retail value of this box. So I had to run around and do a little price comparing myself. First of all, the box includes the following:

  • Six full sized quick-dry polishes: Tickle Me Pink, Trouble Maker, Get Juiced, I Lilac You, Strawberry Shields, and Jaded
  • Cuticle Eraser and Balm
  • Dry and Go Drops Top Coat
  • A nail file
  • 12-issue subscription to FLARE magazine – a $12.95 value

What you are getting is the Sally Hansen Salon line of products. This nail polish retails for $7.99 a bottle at as does the top coat. I couldn’t find the exact cuticle cream pictured, but a different one by the same company costs $6.99. So the approximate value of this kit is $63 excluding the magazine subscription (or $76 total value including the subscription). I think you are getting a pretty nice deal.

Topbox: Limited Edition LOULOU Summer Topbox $40 ($130 Value)

Purchase the Limited Edition LOULOU Summer Topbox for only $40 and receive $130 worth of beauty products and a free year LOULOU magazine subscription.

Topbox Canada is not a company we have mentioned on Bargainmoose before so let me give you a rundown. They are a beauty box subscription service usually, so you sign up for a monthly subscription and get new and fabulous beauty products sent to you monthly. They also offer limited edition boxes that are a one time purchase. This LOULOU box is a limited edition offer that you can get without a subscription. It is a one time box deal.

The LOULOU Summer Topbox includes:

  • MAKE UP FOR EVER Mist & Fix Makeup Setting Spray (travel size)
  • essie Nail Polish – bikini so teeny (full size)
  • essie Nail Polish – peach daiquiri (full size)
  • Soap & Glory – Sexy Mother Pucker Yummy Plum (full size)
  • Shu Uemura Art of Hair – Cleansing Oil Shampoo & Conditioner (travel size)
  • Clinique repairwear laser focus wrinkle correcting eye cream (travel size)
  • teeez Desert Metals Mascara – Black (full size)
  • Yves Rocher Oriental – Velvety-skin scrub (travel size)
  • KMS California Free Shape – Quick Blow Dry (travel size)
  • Free 1 year LOULOU subscription valued at $12.95

The box is pretty loaded. I would never pay $130 for all this. but for $40 I could certainly indulge. As an added bonus, receive free shipping on your order.

Box ships 15th May, 2014.
