The Source: $25 Savings Card with Every Purchase

Posted by on May 4, 2015 at 1:30 PM

The Source: $25 Savings Card with Every Purchase

The Source Canada is offering a $25 savings card with every purchase on their website.

While there is no minimum purchase required to receive the saving’s card, there is a minimum required for spending it. The $25 savings card you receive is redeemable on orders of $150 or more. You can redeem the card between June 1 and June 21, 2015. No restrictions are mention – so this should be valid on most anything you could want including some of the ‘restricted’ brand names like Apple and Bose.

With this offer, I would suggest your first purchase be fairly as you will want to use the savings card on a larger purchase. If you have The Source store nearby, then pick up your order in store to avoid shipping charges on orders under $25. This Gigastone 16GB USB Thumb Drive is on sale from $24.99 down to $7.99 right now. One reviewer said:

Bought to use as a backup for a recent laptop purchase. Installed automatically, and worked well for assigned duty. New laptop requires a minimum 16 gig stick to copy hard drive restore information in the event the laptop crashes and or master drive dies.

I think this is a great idea: you should always have an external backup in the case of emergencies.

If you are looking for a simple set of earbuds, look no further than the SONY MDR-EX15AP/B Fashion Colour EX Earbuds in blue. Originally $29.99, the ear buds are on sale for $19.99. These will work well with any MP3 player or smart phone. They come with an in-line mic and smart phone controls. There are three sizes of silicone ear buds so you receive the perfect fit. I have read some earbud reviews where people need two different sizes (different size for each ear) in order to get the perfect fit. Do not be afraid to mix and match sizes.

Combine the two above deals and you can receive free shipping to your home (orders of $25 or more). Orders under $25 can still be shipped free to your local store.

The $25 savings card requires a high minimum. I would use it on a new iPod – as Apple recently jacked their prices – or on a new monitor. Laptops and speaker systems (like Bose) also would benefit from the $25 off $150 savings card.

Individual deals will have their own expiry dates. The following expiry is for the savings card promotion.

The Source Coupon Code: $25 Off $150 Purchase

The Source Coupon Code: $25 Off $150 Purchase

The Source Canada is offering $25 off orders of $150 or more with the following coupon code.

Click here to shop @ The Source Canada now

  • Discount: $25 off $150
  • Expiry: 29th April 2015

This is a two-day only offer by The Source Canada. You can stack it on top of whatever deals you like!

Personally, I jetted my butt straight to the Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker I have had my eye on forever. Originally $219.99, the speaker is now on sale for $199.99. Most of the time Bose is excluded from coupon codes but this time it worked! This legendary sound system came down to just $174.99 after coupon, thus beating all deals I have seen on the sound system ever.

The Source Coupon Code: $25 Off $150 Purchase

Well, there goes my birthday fund.

I have actually been looking out for a new laptop – not really for myself, but for a friend of mine. Personally, I love my laptop but I need to get it to do a full back up so I can wipe the system clean. However, my friend’s electronics are self-destructing as we speak. I suggested he just invest in a laptop (instead of both a laptop and a desktop) and purchase the extra cables he needs to hook up his external monitors.

This Acer Aspire E5-521-66SN Laptop was $499.99 and is now on sale for $429.99. After coupon code, the laptop comes down to $404.99. This laptop comes with:

  • AMD Quad-Core A6-6310 processor
  • 1TB HDD

One reviewer said:

great laptop for the price, fast buffering for internet

The laptop also has a 15.6″ screen size and comes with Windows 8.1, which I will have to try out at some time. I am still clinging to Windows 7. I do like that this computer has good speed, somewhere in the middle, and has a giant hard drive. I could actually go for half the hard drive side and double the processor speed – but they do not like to make those computers. I price compared this exact laptop with Best Buy Canada where it is on sale for $449.99. The Source beats that price by $45.

The coupon code only takes $25 off your entire order. If you plan to buy two or more expensive items, then place two separate orders.

All orders of $25 or more will ship to your home for free. As the coupon necessitates you spend $150, you are guaranteed free shipping.

The Source: Total Chef Juicin’ Juicer Was $100 | Now $70 & Free Shipping

The Source: Total Chef Juicin Juicer Was $100 | Now $70 & Free Shipping

The Source Canada has an excellent sale on the Total Chef Juicin’ Juicer. Originally $99.99, the juicer is on sale for $69.99 with free shipping.

I price compared this unit with other online retailers. The Total Chef Juicin’ Juicer retails for the following prices:

  • $84 @ Walmart Canada
  • $99.95 @
  • $99.95 @ Home Depot Canada
  • $99.98 @ Best Buy Canada

This is a basic juicer – perfect for morning freshly squeezed orange juice. Many juicers are quite expensive, but if you want to pass on store bought juice for a healthier alternative, then pick up this budget friendly juicer from Total Chef. This juicer can also juice veggies. The Top Chef Juicin’ Juicer has a dual speed selector and auto-shut off. The extra-large pulp bin will let you get through a couple glasses of juice before emptying. A wide chut opening lets you spend less time cutting fruit.

The juicer is a combination of plastic and stainless steel. Most importantly, the juicing blade is made of stainless steel so it will keep a sharp edge and last for years to come. I like the addition of suction cups to the bottom of the juicer to keep it in place on your counter. That sounds very handy.

While there are no reviews on The Source, I did find some on other websites. Reviews for this juicer are a mixed kettle of fish. Some people found it not worth the money ($100) and found the machine a bit messy. However, one reviewer at Home Depot reminded readers that:

It is not the best juicer out there, but it is in a good 100.00 juicer. It does leave wet pulp not getting all the juice out but in all fairness I have not read the manual yet. Make sure that it is put together snugly or you will have a mess. I have used better juicers but this one fits what I need for now and the price is right. clean up is not that bad if you do it right after you use it.

If this is a good juicer for $100, then I think it is an even better juicer at only $70. For anyone needing a juicer on a budget, this one certainly fits the bill. As the juicer costs over $29, it qualifies for free shipping to your home.

The Source Canada: Acer X223W 22″ Monitor Was $135 | Now $80 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

The Source Canada: Acer X223W 22 Monitor Was $135 | Now $80 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

Monitors on a tight budget are not too common on Bargainmoose, but I just found a great little deal. The Source Canada has discounted the Acer 22″ X223W LCD monitor from $134.98 (regular price) down to $79.96. This is an open box model and comes with full warranty.

I think a clarification of terms is in order first. There is a big difference between display model, open box, and refurbished. Refurbished means the product had an issue and had to be sent back to the manufacturer to be fixed. Display models were used in store as display models. Open box items are generally when a box has been opened to show the product to a customer and when a box gets damaged in transit. The product inside is still brand new and comes with the full three year warranty (or one year warranty – The Source has two different warranty lengths written in different places). The warranty protects you from anything going wrong.

Here is a basic rundown of the monitor’s features. The 22″ TFT LCD screen provides crispt clear images. That screen has a 1680 x 1050 resolution and a 50000:1 contrast resolution. There is a 5 ms response time that will accommodate most movies you throw at it. There are both VGA and DVI (HDCP) Ports on the monitor as well. One reviewer said:

I got this item on sale, great for the price! screen is clear!

I could not exactly price compare this unit as I could not find it elsewhere in Canada. However, I looked at the cheapest 20 – 22″ monitors on Best Buy Canada to get an idea. The only two deals that came close to this were:

  • HP 20″ IPS LED Backlit Monitor (20BW) – $99.99
  • Dell 20″ Widescreen LED Monitor (P2011H) – Refurbished – $99.99

Both the monitors are 2″ smaller than the Acer and both cost an extra $20 premium. In addition, the Dell is a refurbished unit so it is not even new. On Walmart Canada, the cheapest monitor is an Acer K202HQL b 19.5″ LED for $98. Given that the Acer from The Source costs less and is a bigger monitor, I think this deal is hot.

As the Acer monitor retails for over $25, you will receive free shipping to your home. I assume this monitor will set out quickly as The Source often has very low stock on their clearance items.

The Source: Beats Solo 2.0 Wireless Headphones Were $330 | Now $280 & Free Shipping

Posted by on March 17, 2015 at 6:16 PM

The Source: Beats Solo 2.0 Wireless Headphones Were $330 | Now $280 & Free Shipping

The Source Canada had discounted the ever-popular Beats by Dr. Dre Solo 2 wireless Bluetooth headphones from $329.99 down to $279.99. As the headphones cost over $25, they will ship for free.

Only the red Beats Solo 2.0 is on sale. I price compared with other popular retailers. I could not find them on sale elsewhere. Here is what they are selling for at other places:

  • $329.95 @ Apple Canada
  • $329.99 @ Best Buy Canada (OOS)
  • $329.99 @ Future Shop Canada (OOS)

It is very important to know the difference between these and the other (cheaper) Beats Solo 2.0 headphones. The ‘other’ Beats Solo 2.0 headphones that retail for about $100 less are wired headphones. These Beats are wireless with Bluetooth compatibility so you can hook them up, without wires, to your smart phone, iPhone, MP3 player, and more.

These headphones offer around 30 feet of wireless freedom – give or take a concrete wall or two. That means you can put your phone down in the living room and still make a trip to the bathroom with your headset on. I am not sure who does that, besides me. I really like wireless headphones for travel. It can be a royal pain to untangle the cord of my headset or fish it out from underneath and behind things.

For travel, the wireless Beats Solo 2.0 is perfect. The headset is compact – folding down for travel or storage. The ear cups are padded for both comfort, and to cut out external noise from interfering with your musical experience. While I have not been impressed with the sound from Beats before (many years ago), it sounds like they have gotten better. One reviewer said:

I could not believe the difference from the other headphones I was can hear so clear it is unreal recommend to anyone

This headset comes with a cord so you can still listen to your music when the battery runs out. Enjoy the icon Beats by Dr Dre styling and the gorgeous hot red colour. This headset demands to be noticed!

If you own this headset, then we would love to hear from you! I always like hearing feedback from our Moosers on what they think of their electronics and more. This information is really helpful for other Moosers!

The Source: Nexxtech 32GB USB Thumb Drive Was $50 | Now $12.99 & Free Shipping *HOT* (EXPIRED)

The Source: Nexxtech 32GB USB Thumb Drive Was $50 | Now $12.99 & Free Shipping *HOT* (EXPIRED)

The Source Canada has further discounted the Nexxtech 32GB USB Thumb Drive. Originally $49.99, this 32GB flash drive is on sale for $12.99. Use The Source coupon code TS4411 for free standard shipping to your door.

Okay, I will admit I have blogged a similar deal before. Back in September, The Source had the Nexxtech 32GB thumb drives on sale for $14.99. There was no free shipping promo. Therefore, if you wanted it shipped to your home, then you had to pay an additional $4.95. Not only is the Nexxtech drive cheaper right now, you also save $5 on shipping. Sweet!

For your information: this is a 2.0 not a 3.0 thumb drive. For tech newbies, that refers to transfer speed. The newest flash drives are all 3.0 speed so this is the previous generation. I do not think I own anything (hard drive, flash drives, etc.) that has the 3.0 speed yet. I tend to use electronics until they die, so that is why.

The reviews are very positive! One reviewer said:

This USB does it all. It is well made, comes in great colors, has built in storage sleeve, bought on sale at a ridiculously low price and bought 4, has a place to attach to a carrying handle and is very high quality.

Another reviewer said:

Great value for the money. I bought it while on sale ($14.99) and I love it. It’s fast enough and full of space for pics, music or movies.

This reviewer also said that shipping to his door was super-fast. He ordered the Nexxtech drive on one day, and two days later the drive arrived.

As I mentioned before, a 32GB thumb drive holds more data than your average consumer will ever need to store or transfer. A 32GB flash drive can hold 15,237 photos, 7,618 MP3, or 60 feature length films.

I could not find this model anywhere else in Canada but everywhere I looked, these sort of flash drives were $14.99 or more (without free shipping).

Now, if you MUST have the 3.0 speed – you need to shop at Amazon Canada. They have the Lexar Jumpdrive 32GB 3.0 stick on sale, in orange, from $41 down to $14.99 plus shipping. This is also a very good deal, but you can only score free shipping if you order $25 or more.

Whichever way you go, these are both great deals on a 32GB flash drive.

The Source: SONY SRSX3 Was $150 | Now $99.99 & Free Shipping

The Source Canada has an amazing deal on the new Sony SRS-X3 Wireless Speaker. Originally $149.99, the speaker is now on sale for $99.99 and free shipping.

I price compared this speaker with many other companies. Other retailers currently have the Sony SRSX3 speaker priced at:

  • $109.99 @ Dell Canada (Deal of the Day)
  • $129.99 @ Sony Store Canada
  • $149.99 @ Future Shop Canada
  • $149.99 @ Best Buy Canada

The only place where this speaker is on sale for the same price is at – where it is currently $99.99 and there is a free shipping coupon code too. So, if The Source suddenly is out of stock, head over to to pick up the same deal.

Sony is a well-known brand that excels at electronics. The Sony SRS line of speakers – X3, X5, and X7 – is affordable luxury. The speakers sound amazing and yet are at a reasonable price point. I own the Sony SRSX5 speaker, which sounds incredible and is equal (in quality) to the legendary Bose. The SRS-X3 is a smaller version of the SRS-X5 and comes at a more reasonable price point. CNET is a great place for reviews. They said:

With comparably good sound for its size and the addition of speakerphone features, the Sony SRS-X3 mini Bluetooth speaker measures up well against the pricier Bose SoundLink Mini.

I agree with this review, I spent a good deal of time deciding which Sony SRS speaker I wanted. The quality on all three models was amazing, and I managed to afford the SRS-X5. The SRS-X3 was a strong contender at a really great price. One reviewer of the SRS-X5 said:

I bought this to replace another brand. Sony was so much clearer and richer sounding with excellent bass. I use it for my home Desktop Computer and for listening to ITunes. can’t go wrong with this.

Most people are amazed at the sound quality of this speaker. It is also very sleek and comes with a decent seven-hour battery. While I generally plug my speaker in when I listen, it is nice to have the battery for travelling or for using the speaker in another part of the house.

The Source Canada: $620 Off Canon EOS 60D 18-55 IS Kit – Now $680 (HOT!) (EXPIRED)

The Source Canada: $620 Off Canon EOS 60D 18 55 IS Kit Now $680 (HOT!) (EXPIRED)

Need a spiffy camera? Then hurry on over to The Source because while quantities last, you can get the Canon EOS 60D 18-55 IS kit for just $679.96. It was originally priced at $1299.99, so that puts it at $620.03 off!

A word of warning: while writing this post, the camera seems to have gone in and out of stock frequently, so if you’re interested in taking advantage of this deal, do not wait!

If you click over to The Source’s site and don’t see the yellow “add to cart” button, then try refreshing the page. This little trick worked for me but once it’s completely sold out, then it probably won’t work anymore!

The EOS 60D camera is an 18MP digital SLR camera with built-in flash and features a 3″ LCD screen.

Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

This is not just an entry level camera and nears professional level quality. Check the independent reviews – awesome camera at an amazing price! Thank you, The Source!

Price comparing, I was surprised to find this same camera completely out of stock at Future Shop. Not only that, but it was also more expensive as it was on final clearance for $749.97. Even there though, reviews are fantastic: 20 reviewers gave this camera an average rating of 4.3/5 stars — that’s pretty fantastic! Here’s one such review:

I bought this camera a couple of years ago and i started out as someone with very little camera knowledge and now I can say i take some pretty good shots with this camera. The 18-200 that came with camera is a good all rounder lens but not great in low light condition. I added a 16-35 f/2.8 and this camera performed much better in low light. Though i would love to upgrade to 6D or maybe even a 5D mkIII, but for now, this camera does everything that i need it for. Not a great professional tool but very good for an amateur photographer. Thanx.

With regards to shipping, you have two choices. You can either have your camera shipped to your local The Source store for free or you can enter the Source coupon code TS4411 at checkout to get free shipping. Make sure to enter the code if you would prefer to have the camera shipped straight to your door because if you don’t, a $4.99 fee will apply.

The Source: Apple iPod Nano 7th Gen 16GB Was $150 | Now $130 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

The Source: Apple iPod Nano 7th Gen 16GB Was $150 | Now $130 & Free Shipping (EXPIRED)

The Source Canada has a sweet one-day only deal on Apple iPod Nano 7th Generation 16GB. Originally $149.99, the iPod 7th gen is now on sale for $129.99 with free shipping.

I price compared the iPod Nano 16GB (7th gen) with other websites. While Future Shop comes close, The Source still has the best deal. Here is what other retailers are selling the iPod Nano for:

  • $139.99 @ Future Shop Canada
  • $149 @ Chapters Indigo Canada
  • $149 @ Staples Canada
  • $149 @ Apple Canada
  • $149.99 @ Best Buy Canada

As you can see, most every other retailer is selling the iPod Nano for its original retail price. Future Shop does have the Nano for $10 off, but The Source’s $20 off deal is better!

I do not think the iPod Nano needs any introduction. It is the most recognizable MP3 player around the world. The reviews are overwhelmingly positive and the iPod comes backed by Apple’s well-known one-year warranty and excellent service policy. I have owned many Apple electronics before and the company has been amazing at fixing each one of them. Here is just a sample from one of the reviews:

I love everything about this iPod, the battery lasts for a long time, the sound is great, and it is so light you hardly know your carrying it. The screen gives you everything you need to know, whether you are listening to music or a book.

This sale includes all colour reiterations of the iPod. Choose from blue, silver, purple, space grey, yellow, green, and pink. I like the purple and the green first. However, the yellow would match my car better so I might end up buying that instead. It is really a great little device and super lightweight. I have a problem with storing all my music on my phone – it just will not all fit. Between apps, pictures, and more – 14GB of music does not fit on a 16GB player with all that other stuff. I totally wanted to purchase the iPod Classic, but it is no longer made. I either have to fork over the extra money for the Touch, or use a dedicated Nano for all my music and have my apps, pictures, and life on my phone.

This offer expires TODAY – so buy soon!

The Source: Fujifilm JX660 Camera Only $65 & Free Shipping

The Source: Fujifilm JX660 Camera Only $65 & Free Shipping

The Source Canada is offering the basic Fujifilm JX660 16 MP Digital Camera for only $64.99 with free shipping. After this promotional period, the cost of the camera will go up to $129.99.

I consider this a basic camera at a good price. While many people are not buying cameras as they are built into their smart phones, I still think a dedicated camera is a good choice. If your kids are into photography, it is far better to give them a $65 camera than a $650 smart phone. If they drop the camera in water, off a cliff, in the toilet, or smear it with peanut butter and try to feed it to the dog – you are not going to mind as much with a $65 item. In addition, cameras are quite resilient whereas when I drop my smart phone a couple feet, it threatens to shatter.

When price comparing this unit, I discovered this is a bit of an older model that many stores no longer have in stock. However, here are the prices from other retailers in Canada:

  • $89.95 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $89.95 @ Future Shop Canada (OOS)
  • $90.99 + $12.06 shipping @ (OOS)
  • $94.99 @ (OOS)

Secondary sellers are trying to sell these cameras for $111 or more at It is easy to see that The Source Canada has the best price by nearly $35.

The Fujifilm JX660 camera has all you need for a simple but useful camera. The 16MP sensor captures good quality images. For video, enjoy HD 720p recording. There is a dedicated movie recording button and you can edit the videos as well (trimming, joining). With 5x optical zoom, you will get closer to your subject without having to shove the camera right up close.

In addition, see everything through a large 2.7″ monitor. I find monitor size integral to good quality images. If I cannot see the picture I am shooting, my photo composition will suffer. Even the width of a hair of movement can turn a good quality picture into so-so if your lighting is not right or you catch the edge of something you do not want in your picture.

This camera comes with a rechargeable lithium ion battery that charges through a USB cable. A two-year warranty from FUJI will give you peace of mind.

As the camera retails for over $20, free shipping to your home is included.

Today Only: 50% Off Fujita Xtreme HD Lite Sports Waterproof Camera @ The Source – Now $60 (Expired)

Posted by on February 25, 2015 at 11:00 AM

Today Only: 50% Off Fujita Xtreme HD Lite Sports Waterproof Camera @ The Source Now $60 (Expired)

Want another way to capture your life? The Fujita Xtreme HD lite sports camera is on sale for just $59.99 today only at The Source. It was originally priced at $119.99, which puts it at a $60 discount (50% off).

A friend of mine recently mentioned to me that he has been looking into getting a GoPro camera but that his budget just wouldn’t allow it. Those cameras are extremely popular at the moment and with due reason but shelling out a couple of hundreds on one just isn’t possible for everyone.

The Fujita action camera is definitely a great compromise, especially if you take advantage of today’s sale to get it for 50% off. Here’s a quick round-up of its specs:

  • 720p, 30 fps & 5MP
  • Mountable to a helmet, dashboard or bike handle bar
  • Waterproof up to 33′

It’s also very easy to use as all you need to do is press one button to operate it. At The source, there are 9 reviews for it and a total of 4/5 stars, which is quite surprising for an affordable action camera like this one that won’t break the bank. Here’s what one reviewer had to say about it:

Calling this “a poor man’s GoPro” doesn’t come close to doing it justice. This thing shoots absolutely crystal clear video at almost any distance, even right up close. (Think “a few inches.”) My only gripe would be the sound; there’s a tiny pinhole in the back through which sound reaches the built-in condenser microphone, and even when I’m only a few feet from someone, you can barely hear their voice at all, and even mine is somewhat muted. Still, this camcorder represents GREAT value for the money, even at full price.

As for the sound, it can definitely be a hit or miss in that department. Even for a highly reputed action like the GoPro, you could have sound that’s not 100% clear depending on the activity you are performing and the weather outside.

With regards to shipping, a $4.99 standard fee will apply at checkout but make sure to enter The Source coupon code TS4411 before you check out to get free shipping. Alternatively, you could also have your order shipped to your local The Source store for free.

The Source Canada: $50 Off Garmin Nuvi 66LM GPS – Now $140 & Free Shipping

Posted by on February 1, 2015 at 12:00 PM

The Source Canada: $50 Off Garmin Nuvi 66LM GPS Now $140 & Free ShippingDon’t get lost ever again with the Garmin Nuvi 66LM GPS. Originally priced at $189.99, it’s now on sale for $139.99 at The Source.

With a 6″ LCD screen, the Garmin Nuvi 66LM GPS is super easy to use and comes with maps of Canada, the US along with a lifetime supply of maps. The last part means that you can update your device  up to 4 times per year at no extra charge. Plenty of other GPS devices have a tendency to stop working after a couple of years but you can rest assured that this one won’t.

In terms of a price comparison, both Future Shop and Best Buy have this same GPS for $189.99. Although The Source’s site doesn’t boast any reviews, here’s what one reviewer had to say about it at Future Shop:

I like Garmin. I had Lifetime Maps on my last Garmin and they still pumped out updates for that model after almost 8 years. I respect that. My Dad got a different brand and map updates were cancelled on his model after a few years. My older Garmin did have a password option, this one doesn’t. Also worth mentioning that there is no “split screen” view as is shown in all the advertising pictures… the image on the right does not seem to be an actual option… just an artistic rendering.

The lack of a split screen that the reviewer mentions is actually a downside that many other reviewers have echoed as well but it’s not really a negative point per se as this isn’t a feature that would usually be available on a GPS anyways. The reviewer goes on to praise the touch keyboard for its ease of use, especially for anyone who travels a lot for work.

Although it’s not available at Canadian Tire anymore, I found 18 reviews on their site with a general consensus of 4.6/5 stars. That’s definitely pretty amazing, especially with comments like this one:

After going through the other top brands, I have finally settled on Garmin. Easy to use, great accuracy, and free updates makes this unit a top buy that won’t get you lost.

Usually, a flat $4.99 shipping rate applies to every order but make sure to enter the Source coupon code TS4411 at checkout to get free shipping. If you prefer, you can also choose to have your order shipped to your local The Source store for a free pick-up as well.

The Source Canada: 50% Off JBL Duet2BLK II 2.0 Speaker System – Now $70

Posted by on January 29, 2015 at 11:30 AM

The Source Canada: 50% Off JBL Duet2BLK II 2.0 Speaker System Now $70

Need new speakers? The JBL Duet2BLK II 2.0 speaker system is on sale for just $69.99 at The Source right now. They were originally priced at $134.99, which puts them at half off!

These speakers come in a pack of two and feature Phoenix transcuder technology with a great bass. They’re easy to set up and as you can see on the picture above, can easily be placed on just about any surface.

Although there are no reviews for these speaker on The Source’s site, I did find a couple of very useful reviews at Amazon, where it’s currently sold out. With 19 reviews thus far, these speakers have generated a general consensus of 4/5 stars with reviews like this one:

So first impressions: the Duet II is easy to set up and easy to use. Basically, there are only three pieces to the unit; the adaptor, the left speaker, and the right speaker.

And here’s another one:

For someone who listens almost exclusively to classical music, I would recommend these reasonably priced speakers to listeners who do not need the exaggerated base response one hears in rock and rap music.

The reviewer further goes on to say that it’s nothing against other musical genres but in his opinion, the speakers are simply better suited for classical music. This is a fact echoed by a ocuple of other reviewers as well, who have praised the JBL speakers for listening to jazz, blues, vocalist music, etc.

$20 off $100+ code

Last week, Avigayil blogged about a The Source coupon code for a $20 discount when you spend over $100. While this code can’t be applied if you only get this speaker, you could, however, apply it if you add a filler item and reach the $100 minimum threshold. Check out your local The Source flyer for inspiration or there are also hundreds of deals in the clearance outlet section.

This Samsung NX1000 20.3 MP camera, for instance, is on sale for just $399.96 (reg. $699.99) and is actually as high as $759.98 on Amazon (in a white colour though).

Shipping is at a flat rate of $4.99 per order but if you don’t use the coupon code mentioned above, then you can instead use the Source coupon code: TS4411 to get free shipping on any order.

Alternatively, you can also choose to pick up your order in-stores for free without the use of any code.

The Source Coupon Code: $20 Off $100 Purchase & Free Shipping on $25

If you missed our exclusive coupon code for $20 off $100 (for 100 people), then you are in luck. The Source Canada has released a new coupon code for $20 off $100.

  • Coupon Code: AIRMILES100
  • Discount: $20 off $100
  • Expiry: 31st January 2015

The promo code excludes usual items like gift cards, cellular cards, and the like. However, there are some very good deals if you play your cards right. This Xbox One 500GB console with Kinect and Ryse: Son of Rome is currently on sale from $399.99 down to $349.99. This matches Boxing Day prices we saw at other retailers selling refurbished Xbox One consoles. However, after coupon code you can buy the refurbished console with kinect and game for just $329.99. That is the cheapest I have seen it anywhere. The console will come with a three-month manufacturer’s warranty, but you have the option of extending the warranty through Advantage.

Bose is one of those brands that rarely ever goes on sale. However, they are not excluded from this coupon code so you can pick out some small shiny Bose sound system or pair of headphones to receive $20 off. I chose the new Bose SoundLink Color Bluetooth Speaker that retails for $139.99. After coupon code, the SoundLink came down to $119.99 in my cart. This speaker is full price ($139.99) at both Best Buy Canada and Future Shop. Personally, I have wanted the BOSE Soundlink Mini Bluetooth Speaker for a coon’s age but was never willing to spend over $200 on it. The classic Bose speaker retails for $219.99, and comes down to $199.99 after coupon.

I am afraid I do not know much about tablets these days, but there is a Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210 7″ dual-core 8GB tablet on sale right now as it is open box. The sale price is $129.96, and the coupon brings this tablet down to $109.96. I may not know much about this brand of tablets, but just over $100 for a brand name tablet with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean seems like a good deal. The product is ‘open box’ so the box may be damaged but the product is in perfect shape. The tablet comes with a full one-year warranty as well.

I think all of these are very good tech deals and worth looking at if you are in the market for any of the products mentioned above. Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more. For this and future Source coupon codes, visit our forum.

The Source Canada Promo Code: Exclusive $20 Off $100 For the First 100 Customers

If you are up early this morning and checking our blog, you’ll be one of the luckier ones who can take advantage of this exclusive coupon code from The Source. You can use it to get $20 off $100 on any purchase of sale or regular priced items. It has the regular exclusions of gift cards, rate cards and cellular. This coupon is only valid for 100 people, so you won’t wait to wait to use it.

  • Coupon Code: BMOOSE100
  • Discount: $20 off $100
  • Expiry: 100 uses

Like I said, you can use it for absolutely anything on site (exclusions apply). As long as your total hits $100, your $20 will be discounted.

One of the hottest deals you’ll get with this coupon is on the Apple iPod Touch 5th generation 32GB. It is regularly $269.99, but is on sale for $259.99. Add the coupon code and pay only $239.99. Looking around, I see it only as regular price at stores like Walmart and Best Buy. If you’ve been waiting for a sale on an iPod Touch, this is going to be your best bet.

Similarly, if you are looking for an Apple iPod Nano 7th generation 16GB, your best deal will be with this coupon from The Source. Regularly $149.99, you’ll get it for $119.99. The cheapest I saw it elsewhere was $144 at Walmart.

If you’ve also been waiting for the Beats Solo 2.0 on-ear headphones to go on sale, by using this coupon at The Source, you’ll get them for $179.99, with a regular price of $219.99. Looking around, the cheapest I see them for is $189.99.

This coupon will no longer work once it gets to 100 uses, so if you’ve tried and it doesn’t work, feel free to let us know in the comments below.

I’ve also been told that The Source is going to have a huge overstock sale today, but at time of writing this morning, I don’t see that on their site. Hopefully it will come up in time for you to make a great deal on an overstock deal that much better.

Since you’ll be spending over $100, your shipping will be free, as The Source has a low threshold of $25 for free shipping. You’ll want to keep an eye on the coupon page for The Source and even subscribe to find out when their next coupon will be out as you never know when this deal will be repeated.
