The Source Black Friday Flyer Released with Up to 75% Off!

The Source Black Friday Flyer Released with Up to 75% Off!

The Source Canada has just released their Black Friday Flyer and we have it here for you at the Bargainmoose. We have the entire flyer for you, but I am going to point out some of my favourite deals.

Technology deals happen to be a favourite for Black Friday, and I know we are all looking for that special deal to satisfy our technological needs.

I am really looking forward to the JBL Charge 10W Bluetooth Speaker door crasher. The speaker with built-in bass port (flyer fails to mention) retails for $159.99 but will be on sale for $89.99 come Friday. The speaker has really great reviews on the website so far with one reviewer saying:

I just got mine today and I love it so much I haven’t stopped using it! It gets so loud and it’s so clear! For the price it’s way better than Jambox mini or even the Beats Pill. Pill killer for sure! Must have for portable music lovers!!!

Score that for $90 and you will be flying!

I am also looking forward to the Fitbit Flex for $79.99 (save $20) as it is about time I did somthing about my fitness level. This 64GB USB Thumb Drive for only $19.99 (originally $79.99) is also on my to buy list as my largest flash drive is still around 4GB, which is pathetic!

There are so many other good deals. Pick up this Sony Blu-Ray Player for $49.99 (originally $89.99) on Black Friday weekend if you have wrecked your PS3 as I almost did.

There is also 75% off McAfee Internet Security 2015 – 3 Users or McAfee Total protection 2015 – 3 Users. Internet Security was $69.99 and is dropping to $14.99. Total protection was $79.99 and is going down to $19.99.

All cameras will be on sale, toys will be buy one get one 50% off, and you can even find sale prices on Apple products like iPods.

Perhaps one of their best deals, this Innovative Tech Tower Bluetooth stereo with piano finish will be only $49.99, down from $149.99. The speaker deals are out of this world!

The deals all start on Black Friday – shop early before items start to sell out.

The Source: Supertooth Disco 3 Wireless Speaker $49.99 & Free Shipping

Posted by on November 25, 2014 at 11:27 AM

The Source: Supertooth Disco 3 Wireless Speaker $49.99 & Free Shipping

The Source has a nice deal on the Supertooth Disco 3 wireless speaker that not only looks great, but will also blast your music from here to infinity. The source has the Supertooth Disco 3 speakers on sale for $49.99, when they regularly retail for $79.99. Even better, you will receive free shipping as your cart costs over $20.

You do have some choices here. There are three colours included in this sale:

These portable speakers come equipped with Bluetooth 4.0 with 12 Watts RMS. They have two speakers on the front and a bass system on the back of the unit. Stream your music to the device wirelessly for hours of enjoyment. The battery is rechargeable making it easy to maintain your unit without having to spend extra money on batteries.

Now, it is hard to do thorough price comparing when looking at wireless speakers, as they seem to be sold almost everywhere. However, I did check out some of the main competitors and here is what they are selling this unit for:

  • $73.20 @ Amazon Canada
  • $69.99 @ Future Shop Canada
  • $79.99 @ Staples Canada

I will admit that my idea of a wireless speaker probably retails upwards of $200. However, my budget does not always match what I want so I actually own a speaker that retailed for under $100 *ye gasp!*. The quality is rather good and I am very happy with being able to transport the speaker with me. I like listening to my music when I am in a hotel, visiting family, or just around the house. The wireless speaker is far better than my computer’s speakers are and I can take just the speaker into the bathroom while I have a bath instead of taking my phone.

While there are not many reviews on our websites, RoundReviews in the UK had this to say:

the Disco 3 is competitively priced and is definitely up there with the similarly priced speakers. Overall it performs well in all areas and with a nice range of colours to choose from it’ll appeal to most people. The battery life of this device is also something to point out as its very impressive lasting up to 15 hours on a medium volume.

This portable speaker also looks cool. For tones that are more neutral, you will want to stick with grey. I rather like the honey colours as they certainly got it right! It reminds me of my beeswax candles that I burn while I have a bath. The glow is that fiery yellow.

The Source Canada: Canon Pixma Photo Printer Was $50 Now $20 & Free Shipping!

Posted by on November 23, 2014 at 11:02 AM

The Source Canada: Canon Pixma Photo Printer Was $50 Now $20 & Free Shipping!

If you’re on the lookout for a budget printer, consider the great price on this Canon Pixma IP2700 Photo Printer which is currently on sale in The Source outlet sale. Originally priced at $49.99, it’s now only $19.99! That’s a steal. The Source Canada: Canon Pixma Photo Printer Was $50 Now $20 & Free Shipping!

How to get free shipping: make sure that once you add the above Canon printer to your shopping cart, you apply The Source coupon code TS499 which gets free shipping on ANY order (well, a $4.99 discount on any shipping fees). With this free shipping coupon code from The Source, the coupon code should work on anything, in case it’s not just this printer you want to purchase.  Here’s some basic info about this particular model:

  • 7 black pages or 4.8 colour pages per minute
  • 4800 x 1200 print resolution
  • Auto Photo Fix II
  • 12 months warranty

I googled for reviews of this Canon Pixma IP2700 and Amazon was the first result, of course. They have a number of consumer reviews on this particular model, but they’re not very high (mostly 2 to 4 stars). Obviously for $20, you’re not going to get the most amazing printer in the entire world, you DO pay for what you get.

If you’re thinking of using this printer a fair bit, then make sure you check for the price of inks in the future. It’s likely that they will cost more than the printer itself! That’s pretty common with these basic entry-level printers, so keep it in mind. But, if you just need a cheap printer for some really basic tasks, this Canon printer could be just the ticket.

The Source Canada: Samsung Wireless Mono Laser Printer | Was $100 Now $50

The Source Canada: Samsung Wireless Mono Laser Printer | Was $100 Now $50

It’s a great day to save a buck, my fellow Bargainmoosers! At this time, you can pick up this sweet Samsung Wireless Mono Laser Printer from The Source for only $49.99! That’s right – it’s 50% off the regular price of $99.99, and that’s still a decent price for a laser printer! You’ll also qualify for free shipping! Like many products that have great sales at The Source, this Samsung Wireless Mono Laser Printer may not be in stock for very long, so if you need a new printer, or if you’d like to finally try out a laser printer, then you should consider taking advantage of this deal!

This Samsung Wireless Mono Laser Printer seems like a great piece of equipment to have in your home office. It has a maximum print resolution of 1200 dpi, a 1,500-page one-piece toner cartridge that’s easy to replace, a maximum capacity of 150 sheets at a time, and best of all, you can easily connect this printer to your wireless network, since it has built-in Wi-Fi capabilities! You can learn more about this laser printer by clicking on the link above. Since this is a mono laser printer, it can only print in black and white, but if you don’t really use your colour ink (I know I don’t), then this shouldn’t matter – especially if you rely on your printer to print documents.

I keep toying with the idea of buying a laser printer. It can just go through so many sheets of paper when compared to ink-jet printers. Just like ink-jet printers, it can be pricey to buy new ink, and this printer is no exception (it’s $49.99 to get a new cartridge for this laser printer at 123inkcartridges). However, you should also remember that laser printers last much longer than regular ink-jet printers, so it will be a much better purchase.

If you wanted to buy this Samsung Wireless Mono Laser Printer from Amazon, it would cost you $79.99. Listed below is a brief review of this laser printer from a satisfied The Source customer:

It works for me! Simple printer with small footprint. It’s all I need, Thanks, Samsung!

Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source is currently having a really great sale on their Acer 18.5″ LED Computer Monitor today – you can now pick up this monitor for only $49.96! It normally sells for $99.99, so you’re saving $50.03 in total! Similar Acer 18.5″ LED Computer Monitors sell for $99.99 at Best Buy, Tiger Direct, and Newegg. Now that’s a spicy deal! It also qualifies for free shipping – whooo!

I still remember the day that I finally got my first LCD monitor – it replaced my extremely bulky 20-inch CRT monitor (it also weighed roughly 50 pounds), and it provided me with so much more room! I was finally able to add more stuff to my computer desk, and that made me one happy camper. If you know anyone that still has a “classic” CRT computer monitor, help them out and get them this Acer 18.5″ LED Computer Monitor!

Listed below is a brief review of this Acer 18.5″ LED Computer Monitor from a satisfied The Source customer:

The monitor is good, and the online ordering and shipping process went very smoothly.

This won’t be in stock for very long. • Coupon Code: TS4411
  • Discount: Free shipping
  • Expiry: Unknown

This Canon PIXMA MG2220 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer is perfect for anyone that just wants a new printer that can also make copies and scan photos. I typically buy cheap printers, so whenever I run out of ink, I end up buying another cheap printer. The reason why? Printer ink. I think printer ink can be pretty pricey, and rather than buying new black and colour ink when my printer runs out of it, I’d rather pay the same price (or sometimes less) by purchasing a new printer.

At $20, you can’t go wrong. I haven’t been able to find another all-in-one printer for this price this week, and I’m actually going to order this printer for my father once this article is published. He’s been having some printer issues (paper jams and all that fun stuff), so I think that this gift will put a smile on his face.

If you wanted to buy this Canon PIXMA MG2220 Photo All-In-One Inkjet Printer from Amazon, it would cost you $189.77. I’ve included a brief review of this printer from a satisfied The Source customer below:

I bought and use this printer mainly for the scanning features, and I print labels occasionally. Inkjets have expensive ink, so that is all I do (I am still on my original cartridge).

This may not be around for very long, so get it now! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

I previously wrote about this Instudio Bluetooth Tablet Speaker Stand last month, when it was on sale for $19.96. I couldn’t pass up this opportunity to write about this final clearance sale – after all, you’re saving an extra $10 when compared to last month’s deal (which expired soon after it was posted).

The Source Canada: 60% Off Open Box Acer V225WL 22″ LED Monitor – Now $60 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on November 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM

The Source Canada: 60% Off Open Box Acer V225WL 22 LED Monitor Now $60 (EXPIRED)

With up to 60% off in discounts to be had, The Source has just launched their Computer Clear-Out sale and among these, I found a great deal on the Acer V225WL 22″ LED monitor (open box). It’s now on sale for just $59.99 and once the sale is over, will be going back to its original price of $144.96 — that’s a 60% discount ($85 off)!

With a 22″ screen, the Acer V225WL LED monitor features a 1680 x 1050 resolution, a 5ms response time and is Energy Star qualified. It also has VGA and DVI ports. Looking around other stores, I found this same monitor for much more expensive everywhere else:

Out of all of these, I only found 2 reviews. The first was posted on Best Buy’s site and features 5/5 stars:

This is my first widescreen monitor. Don’t know why I didn’t get one sooner. Opens up a whole new world!! The picture looks fantastic! Comes with both VGA a.nd DVI cables. The one feature I wish it had would be the ability to turn the power light off while you’re using it. Other than that, it gets a 5 from me!

And the other was posted on Future Shop’s site and is a 2/5 star review but that’s only because the customer didn’t realize that this computer monitor doesn’t include built-in speakers. No other mention was made as to the performance of the monitor, which leads me to assume that it worked just fine. Personally, I don’t have speakers on my own monitor and it’s not a feature that I have particularly ever cared for because I much prefer having the speakers apart as these are typically better and are easily replaceable.

The best part about The Source’s deal is that you could get 2-3 of these monitors for dual or triple viewing like on the picture above. I, myself, use two screens and although it takes some getting used to at first, it makes working on the computer much easier!

Granted, it’s an open box but that’s really nothing to be afraid of, especially at that price. Open box items are tested to make sure that they are fully operational, which means that in most cases, you’re more than likely getting a perfect product for a fraction of the cost just because of the box. And even if you are to encounter problems, then the products, or in this case, the computer monitor, can be returned to The Source within 30 days.

As usual, there is a $4.99 flat shipping rate but you can choose to have it shipped to your local The Source store for free instead as well.

This is the ultimate item to bring with you on your vacation – especially if you plan to swim near some coral reefs! Since you literally don’t have to hold anything, you can conveniently get some intimate photos and videos of your underwater journeys without any issues – I know the feeling, since I’ve used disposable underwater cameras before. While they’re still really cool devices, I found it awkward to hold on to the camera safely while I tried to swim. This Liquid Image HD320 Scuba Series Underwater Digital Camera Mask makes it easy for you to do, which is always nice!

I’ve included a brief review of this Liquid Image HD320 Scuba Series Underwater Digital Camera Mask from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

This mask was easy to operate and performed perfectly. Not only were the pictures and video extremely sharp, but in the video mode it records audio as well.

Like most clearance deals at The Source, this likely won’t be around for very long, so get it now! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Now that we’re approaching the holiday season, you will likely see plenty of different sales that will pop up. This midnight madness sale at The Source will actually be happening again tonight (well, technically Sunday morning) at – you guessed it, midnight. We don’t know what will be on sale this time around, but you will be able to save up to 60% on select electronics.

If you wanted to buy this Sennheiser U320 Multi-Platform Gaming Headset With Splinter Cell Blacklist at Amazon, it would cost you $189.99 for just the headphones alone (no game is included). Listed below is a snippet of a review of this product from a satisfied Amazon customer:

I bought these headphones for my husband who loves to play Battlefield online and I was getting sick and tired of hearing gun shots, helicopter and tank sounds etc… now all I hear is clicking sounds from the controller and the odd swears from him. So yes I love it and he does, too.

This deal expires at 8AM, so if you’re reading this right now, check out this deal before it’s Gone, Baby Gone – did you like how I somehow snuck a reference from a Ben Affleck movie in here? Anyways, I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
