The Source Canada: Open Box Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16 MP Camera | Was $200 Now $80

Good evening, my fellow deal hunters! The Source currently slashed the price on their open-box Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera – normally selling for $199.99, you can now purchase this easy-to-use digital camera for $79.96! Your order will also qualify for free shipping! That’s always a nice bonus, right?

This Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera is loaded with great features – it has a 16mp 1/2.3-inch ccd sensor with a primary colour filter, it can film 720p hd videos, has an hdmi (mini) port, accepts sd/sdhc cards, and has a 30x wide angle optical zoom. This is a great camera for this price!

I’m not entirely satisfied with the camera on my cell phone, so I think it’s important to still have a decent digital camera that you can use during special events. When you’re going to be at a memorable get together with friends or your family, a sports event, or a wedding, you’ll want to use a camera that you can rely on. Plus, you’ll want to be able to take high-quality pictures, and you can certainly do that with this Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera.

On Amazon, this Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera costs $169.99. If you were to purchase this camera from WalMart’s American website, it would cost you $199 US. I’ve listed an informative review of this camera from a customer of The Source below:

A little below in features of the newest cameras. Such as video quality at 720 not 1080. Zoom is not as powerful as newer models.
But it is below half the price of the current models out there and takes excellent quality pictures.

If you want to save some cash on a convenient 16MP camera that can also take videos, then you should definitely check out this deal before it’s gone. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: Litehawk Brute R/C Monster Truck 1:12 Scale (Refurbished) | Was $150 Now $53 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on October 11, 2014 at 9:00 AM

The Source Canada: Litehawk Brute R/C Monster Truck 1:12 Scale (Refurbished) | Was $150 Now $53 (EXPIRED)

R/C vehicle fans should get a kick out of this deal! Today at The Source, you can pick up a refurbished Litehawk Brute R/C Monster Truck (1:12 Scale) for $52.50 – the regular price of this R/C monster truck is $149.99, so you’re saving $97.49! As an added bonus, your order will also qualify for free shipping.

This Litehawk Brute R/C Monster Truck (1:12 Scale) uses a 2.4GHz frequency, and can go up to 30 KM an hour! It’s quite the powerful little R/C monster truck! It also comes in random colours, so it may be blue or yellow. You’ll also need to purchase a battery pack or batteries, which are sold separately.

When I was a young lad, I used to hang out with my neighbour and watch him play with his R/C truck. It was so cool, especially since this was during the early 90′s! Our backyard used to have a huge dirt-filled terrain that all the neighbourhood kids converted into a makeshift baseball diamond (complete with cardboard bases), so my neighbour and I would play with his R/C truck around this area.

A few years later, they ended up building a shopping plaza on that terrain, and I noticed that my neighbour didn’t really play with his R/C truck any more. It may have been because he was a bit older, but either way it’s always a lot of fun to use an R/C vehicle when you’re controlling it in an interesting area outdoors.

If you were to purchase this Litehawk Brute R/C Monster Truck (1:12 Scale) at Future Shop, it would cost you $149.99, while it’s on sale for $107.88 at Amazon. I’ve listed a brief review of this R/C monster truck from a satisfied The Source customer below:

I have been looking for an RC vehicle for a long time. Litehawk offers you a quality piece that you can customize and repair as you go. If you’re looking for an RC to take you out of the toy market this is it. You will not find an RC of this quality at this price anywhere. This thing is fast, it’s like driving a lightning bolt.

Check out this deal before it’s gone! I hope you’re all enjoying your Saturday, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

Today’s deal at The Source can save you 74% on a handy cordless soldering iron! Normally retailing for $18.99, you can now purchase this 15W Cordless Soldering Iron for $4.96. Plus, you can get free shipping with your order when you use the coupon code below. Not a bad deal for those that want a cordless soldering iron!

Click here to check out this deal @ Thesource.ca now

  • Coupon Code: ts499
  • Discount: Free standard shipping
  • Expiry: Unknown

This lightweight 15W Cordless Soldering Iron is fast acting – it can reach 185°C (365°F) in roughly 7 seconds! The maximum temperature you can reach with this 15W Cordless Soldering Iron is  566°C (1050°F). Plus, the fact that this tool is cordless makes it that much easier to use!

I will sometimes have to use a soldering iron, since my brother and I own several coin operated arcade and pinball machines. Some of these older machines simply break down or have issues, so I will sometimes have to replace certain parts. A soldering iron is an important tool during this process, and yes – my soldering iron has a cord.

I’m going to actually end up purchasing this 15W Cordless Soldering Iron from The Source once I publish this article, since it’s incredibly affordable, and it’s cordless, so I can solder wires without being restricted by a cord (I usually have to use an extension cord when I’m working on these machines).

Other 15W cordless soldering irons on Amazon typically cost $15.57 (plus shipping). I’ve included a snippet of a review of this 15W Cordless Soldering Iron from a satisfied The Source customer below:

I install car stereos as a profitable hobby. This little puppy is fantastic for soldering speaker wires. It’s a real pain to get a corded iron in some tight spots, this works wonderfully.

I hope you’re all enjoying your Saturday, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: Seiki LE-55GCL-P 55″ 4K Ultra-HD DLED TV (Refurbished) | Was $1040 Now $630 (EXPIRED)

The Source Canada: Seiki LE 55GCL P 55 4K Ultra HD DLED TV (Refurbished) | Was $1040 Now $630 (EXPIRED)

There have been some great 4K television sales lately. Such is the case with today’s deal at The Source – you can get a refurbished Seiki LE-55GCL-P 55″ 4K Ultra-HD DLED TV for $629.98 (plus $34.99 shipping) ! The regular price of this TV is $1039.99, so this is an alluring deal! Even though Seiki isn’t exactly a familiar brand name, the fact that you can own a 55″ 4K television for $629.98 is pretty incredible. If you want to save on the shipping cost, you can also arrange for a free in-store pickup from a The Source location that’s near you.

Some of the features of this Seiki LE-55GCL-P 55″ 4K Ultra-HD DLED TV are already in its title, including the ability to display 4K content and Blu-Rays. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate, 3 HDMI ports, and 1 USB port.

This is the new display technology that people are marvelling at when they go to popular retail locations like The Source, Best Buy, and Future Shop. When you see a 4K TV on display, it’s hard to not be amazed by the intricate details that you can see on the screen in front of you! It’s just that clear and crisp!

You likely heard these things when flatscreen televisions with 1080p resolution were released, and at the time those were some amazing pieces of technology. However, 4K simply blows it away (and naturally it should, since 1080p televisions were introduced more than a decade ago).

If you buy the smaller 50″ version of this Seiki LE-55GCL-P 55″ 4K Ultra-HD DLED TV at Newegg, it would cost you $679.99. You can actually find this exact 55″ Seiki 4K TV on Amazon’s American website for $699.99 US (plus shipping). I’ve listed a brief review of this TV from a satisfied The Source customer below:

TV makes a really good buy in terms of value for money. The bezel is decent looking and is on the slimmer side of things. The picture quality and contrast are actually very good despite the 4000:1 low dynamic contrast advertised. The downside is that one would only be able to play UHD 4k at 30hz. I currently use it regularly as a full HD TV and i’m loving it.

These refurbished product deals at The Source don’t usually last very long, since the items are usually out of stock soon afterwards! Check this out while it’s still available – happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: InStudio Bluetooth Tablet Speaker Stand | Was $80 Now $20 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on October 6, 2014 at 11:30 AM

The Source Canada: InStudio Bluetooth Tablet Speaker Stand | Was $80 Now $20 (EXPIRED)

For those that own a tablet or an iPad, this item can be quite the handy accessory. Today’s deal at The Source is for an InStudio Bluetooth Tablet Speaker Stand, which normally costs $79.99. At this time, you can get this speaker stand for just $19.96 (plus $4.99 shipping). If you want to save on the shipping costs, you can also arrange to pick up this InStudio Bluetooth Tablet from a The Source location near you – you can select that option while you’re placing your order online.

This InStudio Bluetooth Tablet Speaker Stand can help you add some power to the sound of your iPad or tablet with its built-in speakers. It can also be a useful stand for those that love to read on their tablets while they’re having a meal. I know I’d find that exceptionally useful!

I have an iPad Mini, and it actually has some great sound that can come out of those speakers. However, when I’m having a workout, I always hook it up to a speaker dock, simply because I want to be able to hear the music or podcast that I’m listening to. The built-in speakers just don’t cut it for me when I’m working out, but I think they’re just fine when I’m trying to do some work in my home.

With this InStudio Bluetooth Tablet Speaker Stand, since it’s easy to carry this small accessory around the house, I can conveniently use the extra speakers that are build into this stand when I want to listen to music on my iPad Mini when I’m doing chores in my home.

The cheapest portable speaker that you can pick up at Best Buy is this Philips Universal Portable Speaker, which costs $19.99. However, it isn’t Bluetooth compatible, and it doesn’t have a convenient stand like the InStudio Bluetooth Tablet Speaker Stand does.

I’ve listed a brief review of the InStudio Bluetooth Tablet Speaker Stand from a satisfied The Source customer below:

Handy little stand. Folds up small, making it easy to carry around with you. Bluetooth connects good and it definitely sounds better, and plays louder than my tablet’s built-in speakers.

If you have a tablet, you should consider checking out this deal at The Source. Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Microsoft Canada: Surface Type & Touch Covers $50 Off Today Only

Posted by on October 3, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Microsoft Canada: Surface Type & Touch Covers $50 Off Today Only

Today only, Microsoft has a great deal on their Surface type and touch covers, now $50 off. These rarely go on sale and I couldn’t find an equivalent price anywhere. You’ll also get free shipping on these from Microsoft.

If you have a Surface or are thinking about getting one, this is a deal that may pique your interest. These click-in keyboards have a variety of functions to make your life easier while using your Surface.

The first one on sale is the Type Cover 2, which was $129.99, now $79.99. It comes in four colours, in both French and English, including basic black or a fun purple. It is backlit so you can work in any type of lighting and has all the Windows shortcuts, function keys and media controls you need to navigate. Besides being a functional keyboard, it offers protection for your Surface against bumps and scratches. It has an overall 4-star rating, with the only complaint being the mousepad.

The second cover on sale is the Touch Cover 2. This one only comes in black and is now $69.99, regularly $119.99. It has all the same functions as the Type, with a lightweight frame that is spill-resistant. It doesn’t have as good of reviews as the $10 more Type Cover 2, but they aren’t bad.

The last and most expensive of the covers is the Power Cover, which also only comes in black. Not only a functional keyboard and cover, it also extends your battery life. This one was $199.99, now $149.99. The ratings say a lot about this cover, with an almost five-star rating:

I am using the Power Cover with the Pro 2 – and have to say I am delighted with the extra longevity. Here’s my typical use case: schlep the tablet with the Touch Cover 2 attached and work that way – but keep the Power Cover in my bag and attach as needed. Works fine. The only (small) quibble is, given the extra battery life, it would have been nice to have the same backlighting as on the Type Cover 2 – but that said, this is an awesome peripheral for the Surface Pro !

I did price compare these covers and couldn’t find any of them for less than the regular prices listed at the big box stores like Best Buy, Future Shop and The Source.

The Source Canada: Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera (Open Box) | Was $200 Now $100 (EXPIRED)

Posted by on September 30, 2014 at 11:30 AM

The Source Canada: Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera (Open Box) | Was $200 Now $100 (EXPIRED)

Good morning, Bargainmoosers! This is a notable deal for a nice high quality camera at The Source. For a limited time, you can get a Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera (open box item) for $99.96. The regular price of this Fujifilm camera is $199.99. Plus, you’ll also qualify for free shipping!

Some of the features of this Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera include a 16mp 1/2.3-Inch ccd sensor, 30x wide angle optical zoom, a 3.0 inch lcd screen, and a 720p HDMI (mini) port so you can check out your videos and photos on the big screen!

Even though many of us already have decent cameras built into our cell phones nowadays, that doesn’t mean that it should be the only camera that we own. On special occasions like weddings, special birthday parties and memorable nights out on the town, would you prefer to take pictures that were 5 MP in quality, or 16 MP in quality like this Fujifilm camera has?

Plus, once you see how versatile this camera is, you’ll never go back to using your cell phone camera (unless you see something hilarious while you’re on your way home from work). Fujifilm has been a reputable name in the camera industry for many years, so this isn’t just some cheap digital camera that you’d order from China on Ebay – it’s a high quality camera that you can get for a more affordable price!

On Amazon, this Fujifilm FinePix S4800 16MP Camera costs $169.99, and it’s $199 US at WalMart (they are no longer in stock). I’ve included a snippet of a review from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

This camera was attractively priced for the large number of features it contains. It will take me a while to use them all! I’ve done a bit of experimenting in the short time I’ve had it, and it takes nice snapshots and is as easy to use and to learn as any comparable camera. I look forward to using and enjoying this camera for a very long time to come.

Like many deals for open box items at The Source, this likely won’t remain in stock for very long. The price will also be going up before midnight tonight, so now’s your chance to nab it for $100! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: Nexxtech 32GB USB Thumb Drive $14.99 (Save $35)

Posted by on September 29, 2014 at 6:30 PM

The Source Canada: Nexxtech 32GB USB Thumb Drive $14.99 (Save $35)

Need a little memory? Pick up a couple Nexxtech 32GB USB thumb drives at The Source Canada for just $14.99 apiece, originally $49.99.

Buy just one and get it delivered to your local store for free (or pay $4.99 for shipping). Pick up two or more to reach that $20 free shipping minimum and get your thumb drives shipping to your home free of charge.

I could not find this thumb drive anywhere else, but comparable 32GB USB flash drives tended to be a bit more expensive for other name brand products. For example, this Kingston Digital 32GB USB Data Traveler at Amazon.ca is on sale for $18.28 right now. At around 20% cheaper, I figured that $15 for 32GB of space is a pretty good offer.

This flash drive slides open, so you will not lose your cap and risk getting the tip of the drive dirty or bent. Unfortunately, the USB flash drives ship on a random colour basis – so you might end up with red, blue, purple, black, or maybe another colour. If you want an exact colour, then you should visit your local Source store to pick one out for yourself.

Use your Nexxtech thumb drive to transfer photos, movies, and music from one computer to another. When visiting relatives, you merely need to pop the flash drive in the side of their computer to transfer new photos and family movies. This is a great way to keep the grandparents and rest of the family up to date. You can even mail them the flash drive full of goodies. Even if you lose the flash drive, or your lovely relative decides to borrow indefinitely, the drive only costs $15 so it is not a huge loss.

A 32GB flash drive is more than most people will ever need for transferring visual media. A thumb drive this size can hold:

  • 15,237 photos
  • 7,618 MP3
  • 60 feature length films

One reviewer said:

Ideal for transporting photo and video files from pc to pc. I get some everytime they come on sale. Exceptional value.

I have one USB drive and it is pretty small. I got it from my university and I could actually max. it out with just the number of assignments I did each year. I also think it may be corrupted. Maybe I need one of these for my documents moving forward.

The Source Canada: Acoustic Research Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Speaker 2 Pack (Refurbished) | Was $250 Now $61

Posted by on September 23, 2014 at 11:00 AM

The Source Canada: Acoustic Research Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Speaker 2 Pack (Refurbished) | Was $250 Now $61

For a limited time, you can save big on some high quality wireless speakers at The Source! If you act fast, you can nab some refurbished Acoustic Research Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Speakers for just $60.48! What makes this deal so enticing is the fact that they normally retail for $249.99. Purchasing these speakers will also qualify you for free shipping. If you’ve been looking for a wireless speaker solution that’s compatible with smartphones, then these Acoustic Research Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Speakers should easily accommodate your needs.

These Acoustic Research Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Speakers are very versatile – not only can you connect your smartphone to it, but you can also use each speaker independently if you want to. Let’s say your husband wants to listen to his music while working in the backyard – he can still do that while you’re listening to your own music that’s playing from the other wireless speaker that you’re listening to indoors.

You can also choose to have these speakers connected to an electrical outlet, or you can make them completely portable by putting 6 AA batteries in each speaker. You’ll also be able to enjoy crystal clear reception for up to 45 metres.

I have some wireless speakers hooked up to my television set (it’s an affordable surround sound solution at the moment), and I really enjoy them. They’re also great for any time that I need to get some chores done, since they can play back my music clearly without any issues. I did have a Centrios wireless speaker dock that didn’t work very well, but my new wireless speakers work great.

Similar Acoustic Research wireless speakers currently cost $138.99 at Costco (you’ll also need a membership), and $129.99 on Amazon.  These Acoustic Research Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Speakers have some great reviews, and I’ve included a snippet of one review from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

I have had it running for about 10 hours on a single set of six AA batteries and they have not shown any sign of weakening yet… This is a great speaker and a useful tool. There are many options for portable wireless speakers, but this one is reasonably priced and the wireless signal and the sound quality are very good. I am having a lot of fun with this.

These clearance deals at The Source don’t last long, so get these speakers while you still can! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: Canon PowerShot ELPH 130 IS Now $99.96

Posted by on September 17, 2014 at 7:30 PM

The Source Canada: Canon PowerShot ELPH 130 IS Now $99.96

The Source Canada has a good deal on the Canon PowerShot ELPH 130 IS Camera. Originally $209.99, the camera is now on clearance for $99.96.

This camera is just on clearance, and does not appear to be an open box or refurbished model. I did some price comparing to ensure you are getting the best deal. I found the camera, in various colours, for the following prices. The same model is $136.26 @ Amazon.ca, $119.97 at Future Shop (sold out), $149.95 @ Newegg and $151.13 at Hookbag. The Source Canada’s price is the best out there currently.

The camera features:

  • 16.0 MP
  • 8x Optical Zoom(4x digital zoom as well)
  • 28mm Wide-Angle Lens
  • 720p HD Video Recording

It also has a 3.0″ screen to help you see your photos better and help you take better photos. The built in Wi-fi allows you to transfer wirelessly the photos from your phone to your computer. The camera also comes with a rechargeable battery, a recharger, and it appears to come with a case as well if the photos are any indication (as the text does not mention it).

This is a good camera for an affordable price. 16MP will give you good quality images and the 8x optical zoom will bring you in close enough to capture them. The 720DH video recording and the Wi-fi are bonus selling points in my book. I am not much for taking videos, but they often capture a mood or even far better than photos can. I certainly like having that built into my camera. It is also very convenient not to have to connect your camera to your computer each time you want to share pictures. I would love that feature on my camera.

Here is one review of the camera of off Amazon:

Great camera. I love it. The pictures are incredible and clear resolution at 16MP. I also have a Canon T3i and travel alot. But during travels, the size of the Canon T3i makes it very impractical and heavy. So the ELPH 130 is my travel camera. It goes on my hip and takes great pictures. I especially love the CMOS capability, which makes it a very nice camera for close quarters and limited lighting. I strongly recommend this camera to anyone looking to buy a camera that takes professional quality pictures at a fraction of the cost of a large professional camera.

There are tons of reviews of this camera on Amazon Canada, I suggest reading a few to get a good idea of what it does and it does not do. This camera is on sale in grey.

Receive free shipping on orders of $30 or more.

The Source Canada Overstock Sale: $140 Off Nikon CoolPix S9400 Camera – Now $140

Posted by on September 16, 2014 at 10:30 PM

The Source Canada Overstock Sale: $140 Off Nikon CoolPix S9400 Camera Now $140

The Source’s Overstock Sale is now on with up to 60% off plenty of electronics and among these, I found the Nikon CoolPix S9400 camera on sale for just $140.03, down from an original price of $299.99 (53% off).

The CoolPix S9400 digital camera features the following specs:

  • 18.1 MP
  • 4x digital/ 18x optical zoom range
  • CMOS sensor
  • 3.0″ LCD screen
  • 65MB built-in memory
  • Li-ion battery good for about 230 still shots

Reviews are mixed on this camera but if you’re not a photography pro and are looking for a relatively simple and straightforward digital camera to use, then this nifty camera may just be the one for you. On The Source’s page, there are only six reviews with a total of 3.2 stars out of 5, which definitely doesn’t paint the most accurate picture with regards to this camera’s performance because they’re very varied all the way from this 5 stars out of 5 review:

18.1 megapixels, fantastic zoom, and a great price. Small and compact. What more could you ask for?

All the way to this 1 star review:

Received the camera yesterday: can’t charge the battery. And according to the service rep, buying and external charger and/or a new battery might do the trick. I would think Nikon could sell cameras that work out of the box. Very disappointed . Won’t buy a Nikon product any time soon.

But to be fair, that latter review seems like a fluke and one that can happen with any gadget, even the upcoming iPhone 6! The Source Canada Overstock Sale: $140 Off Nikon CoolPix S9400 Camera Now $140

If you want to skip paying the $4.99 flat shipping rate, then you can ship this camera or any other order straight to your nearest The Source store instead. The way I see it though is that compared to the cost of gas that it might take you or even the bus fare (+ your time), it might just be easier to have it shipped straight to your door. Not to mention the fact that I had an order shipped to my nearest The Source store last Christmas and it took some time for it to arrive, or for them to even call me even though the majority of my order had been sitting at their store for a couple of days already when I checked in. I’m sure it’s different for every store but that’s just my experience.

This camera is one of many other overstock deals and they are all definitely worth a look but keep in mind that some have been reduced due to damage to the box. In these cases, you can rest assured that the products are sure to have been inspected and they will more than likely be completely fine! Other awesome discounts include but are not limited to:

The Source Canada: Canon Vixia HF R400 Camcorder Bundle | Was $330 Now $200 (Expired)

Posted by on September 14, 2014 at 12:23 AM

The Source Canada: Canon Vixia HF R400 Camcorder Bundle | Was $330 Now $200 (Expired)

There are many occasions during your life where you’ll want to use a video camera. Sure, you can use your smartphone’s video camera, but chances are that the video and audio quality just wouldn’t be good enough for certain events, such as weddings, celebrations, and other significant moments that you want to capture on video. Thankfully, The Source has a great deal on the Canon Vixia HF R400 – an HD video camera that’s high in quality and low in cost! For a limited time, you can get this high definition video camera for just $199.96 – the regular price for this bundle is $329.99! Plus, this item also qualifies for free shipping – whoohoo!

The Canon Vixia HF R400 camcorder bundle comes with a 4GB SD card, an HDMI cable, and a Canon camera bag. This high definition video camera has a 32x optical zoom, 1060x digital zoom, and a 53x advanced zoom.

I still have an older Canon camcorder that I purchased 7 years ago, and it still works great! However, unlike the Canon Vixia HF R400, my older camcorder uses MiniDV tapes, which makes the transfer of videos to my computer an exceptionally lengthy process.

The Canon Vixia HF R400 makes it easier to transfer your videos to your computer, since the videos are stored on an SD card instead of a MiniDV tape (like older camcorders). I would have loved to use a digital camcorder like this when I used to make movies with my friends, since it would have made the process so much easier for me (especially when I had to edit the videos on my computer).

The Canon Vixia HF R400 retails for $288 at WalMart, and it’s $379.99 on Amazon. I’ve included a snippet of a review of this camcorder from a satisfied Amazon customer below:

The video quality on this model is excellent. The performance in low light is slightly grainy but very good and better than usual for a camera in this price range with a small sensor, and as good as some far more expensive ones I’ve used. The audio quality from the built in mic is very good.

If you need an affordable camcorder, you can’t go wrong with this Canon Vixia HF R400 bundle. Get it while it’s still available, Bargainmoosers! I hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend!

The Source: Canon Powershot D20 Waterproof Digital Camera | Was $380 Now $200 (Expired)

If you’re seeking an affordable waterproof digital camera that’s been manufactured by a trusted and respected brand, this is it. For a limited time, you can save big by getting a Canon Powershot D20 12.1 MP waterproof digital camera for $199.96 at The Source – the regular price for this particular model was $379.99, so that’s $180.03 that you’ll save! This also qualifies for free shipping, so that’s not too shabby!

This camera has it all – it has a GPS tracker built in to it, is temperature resistant (from 14°F to 104°F), shockproof (up to 5 feet), and waterproof (up to 33 feet). You can also record HD 1080p videos with this Canon Powershot D20 waterproof digital camera, making it a very versatile device.

Speaking from personal experience, if you plan to visit a location that’s hot, I’d recommend bringing a waterproof digital camera. Even if you plan to be extra careful with your camera while you’re lounging at a beach, you never know what could happen. A friend of mine brought their camera near the water to take a picture of my friends and I, when she accidentally fumbled the device and it landed in some water. Even though it just touched a bit of water, the camera would no longer turn on. There were no more pictures taken during that trip!

This camera can withstand up to 33 feet of water – that’s a nominal amount of water! Plus, the reputable Canon name has been associated with cameras for decades, so it’s not like this is some no name digital camera that you can get for a cheap price on eBay.

Currently, the Canon Powershot D20 costs $318 at WalMart, and $279.99 on Amazon. I’ve included a brief review of this waterproof digital camera from a satisfied WalMart customer below:

This camera has done great. We have used it 20 + times under water fresh and salt water and even more than that on land. The pictures are remarkably clear. We loved having this with us while gone to Panama on our family trip.

Take advantage of this deal while these cameras are still in stock! Happy Friday, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: Parrot Zik Wireless Headphones (refurb.) $240

The Source Canada: Parrot Zik Wireless Headphones (refurb.) $240

I am currently having a heart attack over this deal. The Source is having a refurbished sale with my dream headset in it. Pick up the Parrot Zik by Starck Stark Wireless Headphones – refurbished – for just $239.98 with free shipping. These headphones usually retail for $429.99.

Massive fan girl moments occurring right now. If there was one headset in the world I could get my hands on, it would be the Parrot Zik by Starck (if the Sennheiser HD800s were not available). First and foremost: this is a wireless headset that connects to your phone via Bluetooth. The cups are touch sensitive and respond, much like a tablet screen, to swipe motions you make with your fingers. Swipe forward to play jump forward a track. Swipe up to increase the volume and swipe downwards to decrease the volume. When you remove the headset from your ears, it will pause automatically.

The Parrot Zik has a run time of approximately eight hours. Unlike many other headsets, it can still be used once the battery has run out. Just plug in the 3.5mm jack and you are good to listen to your tunes for countless more hours. You must know about so many other features! Like pairing: pairing your Parrot Zik with your simple when you just touch your phone to your left ear cup (for NFC devices). The headset also has active noise cancellation as well as four microphones and a jawbone sensor for call clarity. The Parrot App will allow you to adjust the acoustics and sound-space right from your phone.

Here is what a reviewer at The Source had to say:

I got a refurbished set of Parrot Zik headphones so I can only speak about the gently used pair I got and I have to say, they are awesome! The sound quality is good, the frequent firmware / software updates are apreciated and the touch controls work great. I’m also really impressed by the active noice cancellation. The battery is also giving me 8 hours of playback with the features like noice cancellation and I would recommend this product to anyone looking for bluetooh headphones with noise cancellation.

This headset is currently $399.99 at Future Shop and $429.99 at Best Buy Canada.

This set of headphones includes a USB charging cable and a case.

The Source: iPod Touch 5th Generation 16 GB (Damaged Box) Was $230 Now $160 (Expired)

The Source: iPod Touch 5th Generation 16 GB (Damaged Box) Was $230 Now $160 (Expired)

In today’s Apple – centric society, many people desire iPhones and iPods. Even I’ll admit that I was late to join the bandwagon, but once I finally purchased an iPod Touch several years ago, I realized just how useful these mobile devices are. Getting a decent deal on Apple products can be a rarity due to their massive popularity, but this particular deal at The Source is really hot, so take advantage of this while you can! At The Source, you can order a 5th Generation iPod Touch with 16 GB of storage space (listed as a display model, and it has a damaged box) for just $159.97! It normally retails for $229.99, so you’re saving $70.02 in total! It also qualifies for free shipping – whoo!

There are many apps that you’d find useful on an iPod Touch. Whether you’re looking for word applications, video players, recipe e-books, or games, the iPod Touch will consistently keep you entertained. Its bright retina display and Facetime capabilities are also very cool!

I found that the iPod Touch helped me improve my productivity. When I first got one of these devices, it allowed me to check my work related emails (I was strictly freelancing at the time) when I was away from my home office, or when I was visiting friends. This was when mobile internet plans were less affordable than they are currently, so I found the iPod Touch incredibly useful (obviously, if I was on the road or at a store, I couldn’t check my emails with the iPod Touch, since a wireless internet connection is required).

This is the latest edition of the iPod Touch (5th generation), and 16 GB of room for your songs and apps should be just enough space for most casual users. It’s currently selling for $219.99 at Future Shop, but they’re all out of stock at this time. Surprisingly, Best Buy is actually having a sale on these at the moment for $179.99, but they’re all sold out according to their website.

Here’s a snippet of a review for the 5th gen iPod Touch from a satisfied Best Buy customer:

Simply said, Apple has always done an amazing job on their flagship iPod device, the iPod Touch. With a stunning retina display, it makes even watching movies worth it (which normally wouldn’t be on a small screen). With the processing power they fill it with, I can play games on it that not even my cell phone can play properly!!

This deal won’t last long, so get this while they’re still in stock at The Source! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!
