Walmart Canada: RCA 32″ LED HD TV/DVD Combo Now $218 & Free Shipping

Posted by on July 3, 2015 at 4:00 PM

Walmart Canada: RCA 32 LED HD TV/DVD Combo Now $218 & Free Shipping

That dorm room could use a little sprucing up or, perhaps, you want a new television for the bedroom or the kids want a new TV for the play room. Either way, pick up this inexpensive all-in-one RCA 32″ LED TV/DVD Combo on sale for from $268 down to just $218. According to my cart, this television will also receive free shipping as it costs over $50 yet is not considered oversized/heavy.

Let us get started on price comparing. First of all, so few online retailers actually stock this television. I did end up finding this RCA television at The Source Canada, where they sell it for $359.99. In the USA, I found similar models of the same size around the $300 mark with some dipping below that on sale.

This 31.5” rear lit LED television features 720 HD resolution that is 16:9 wide. The dynamic contrast is 5000:1 and the response time is 7ms. The television comes with 2 HDMI ports and a myriad of other connections. Use this television as a secondary TV in another room, or turn this HDTV into a monitor for your laptop or desktop computer. It is pretty simple to turn a television into a monitor; you merely plug in an HDMI cable and edit the settings on your computer. This is actually an affordable way to buy a BIG monitor on a budget. An actual 32″ monitor would cost you a small fortune.

I think that these televisions are really best for kids and young adults. Kids and broke students really do not care whether they have the best resolution on the planet or not. They just want to watch their cartoons and movies. In a play room, this would make an excellent television for young children to watch their favourite shows on, like The Cat in the Hat and others. With the built in DVD player, there is no need to buy a separate unit. Just pop in Frozen and you are good to go.

For university students, this is also an ideal unit. This 32″ TV is small enough to fit into a dorm yet big enough to enjoy movies. With the built in DVD, there is one less thing to buy. Also, the television can double as an external monitor when they are conducting research or working on homework.

AVF 37″ to 65″ TV Wall Mount Kit Was $200 | Now $50 & Free Shipping @ Best Buy Canada

AVF 37 to 65 TV Wall Mount Kit Was $200 | Now $50 & Free Shipping @ Best Buy Canada

Everyone has the best TV spot with the AVF 37” to 65” Flat- Panel TV Wall Mount Kit. This kit was $199, but you can pick it up for only $49.99. This item also qualifies for completely free shipping.

Last weekend I had the pleasure of having a dear friend stay with us for the weekend. Somewhere along the way our conversations have turned from university gossip to topics like home renovations, politics and workplace trouble. We did manage to get in some games of Settlers of Catan and Zombie Dice complete with wine to lighten things up. Our friend just bought a new house that is not quite level, so he found himself shopping around for a TV mount. He had also read an article recently about how flat screen TVs falling on young children is on the rise and causing lots of injuries. I do not know the exact article he read, but here is one the CBC published about the topic. We quickly learned when we saw my daughter play near the TV and it almost fell over!

Pick up this great TV mount at Best Buy Canada on the cheap, and you can avoid a cracked screen or injured person. This is a nice little set that includes a mount that has a low profile to the wall. The mount also tilts for optimum viewing. Included in the kit, you will also receive:

  • Two HDMI Cords
  • TV cleaner
  • Microfiber cleaning cloth
  • Surge protector with two USB ports

This exact TV mount is available in Amazon Canada from alternate sellers for $217.74, I found a comparable tv mounting stand that tilts over at for $69.99, but does not include the extras. The sizing is a little smaller, as it can handle TVs that are 37” to 60.” Dell Canada has a TV mount designed for TVs that are 40 inches to 63 inches across for $99.99 that also does not include the extras.

Most of the reviews seem happy with this mount. It seems sturdy and easy to install for most buyers. A few buyers mentioned it is a little too close to the wall with the cables they are using on their TV. Here is one happy review.

So I had gotten this on black friday and I think the package speaks for itself, but to help you out on making this choice: instillation was relatively easy and the power cord has 2 usb ports to charge your devices and it does a really good job. 5 out of 5.

I would pick this TV mount up now. Not only are you getting a great deal, you also get a nice little accessory kit to go with it. From my searches, the only other time of year we have seen a deal this good on this mount was Black Friday last year. Pick this up now while they are still in stock.

You can combine this coupon with sale items to receive the best deal possible.

Now, my favourite deal has to be the Sony 42″ W700 LED Internet TV. This is a smart TV that allows internet access for watching YouTube Videos, Netflix, and more. Originally $799.99, the television is now on sale for $599.99. After coupon code, the TV comes down to $569.99.

Sony Store: Up to 66% Off & Exclusive 5% Off Coupon Code

Now, I could not find this television at many places in Canada to price compare. However, I did find the exact same 42″ internet TV at CDW Canada for $731.99. At Best Buy Canada, I found the 40″ version of this television for $799.99.

If you are a fan of Sony, then you probably already own a few electronics by them. If you own a Sony camcorder, then add this Underwater Housing to your cart for shooting in pools, the ocean, and more. Originally $49.99, the housing is now on sale for $24.99. After coupon code, pay just $23.74.

The Sony Action Cam is a popular product as you can record your life as it happens. I hope you have a more exciting life than mine. While this exclusive promo code works well with sale items, you can also use it on regular priced items. I have wanted the Sony 4GB Walkman Sports MP3 Player for a while. As this MP3 player is waterproof, I will use it while lane swimming to keep me in the pool longer. This device retails for $89.99, but comes down to $85.49 after coupon code. I just need to decide between black and white. White is currently in stock whereas black is back-ordered.

May 1 LG 55IN 120Hz Smart TV Was $1600 | Now $899 & Free Shipping *HOT*

Posted by on May 1, 2015 at 1:00 PM LG 55IN 120Hz Smart TV Was $1600 | Now $899 & Free Shipping *HOT* has a killer deal on the LG (55LB6300) 55″ 1080p 120Hz IPS Smart WiFi LED TV with magic remote. Originally $1,599, this television is now on sale for $899! This television also qualifies for free ground shipping, which probably saves you around another $50.

As with all electronics, I thoroughly price compared this unit. In the end, I was very pleased with the price at as no other company even came close!

  • $1399.95 @ Best Buy Canada
  • $1453.06 @ Amazon Canada
  • $1279.99 @ Dell Canada
  • $1449.99 @ Costco Canada
  • $1399.99 @ Newegg Canada (refurbished)

Yup! I could not find another one of these televisions below $1000, let alone at the $899 mark. has really outdone themselves with this deal. does not have any reviews for this television yet, so I borrowed one off of Best Buy Canada. This reviewer positively raved about all the features this smart TV has to offer.

This TV has gone above and beyond my expectations. I used to be Sony or Samsung only, but after reading many consumer reports and hearing the goods from friends who bought lg, I decided to take the plunge. What an amazing company. Technology is top notch. The magic remote is really cool. Pairing devices is easy. It connects to the internet with ease, and most importantly, the picture is unreal!

This is just part of his review; the rest is just as positive. The TV is thin and lightweight so you can move it and set it up by yourself if necessary.

I am not too familiar with television technology – I just have not stayed caught up on all the new developments. However, I do know that SMART Televisions are the future of TVs. They allow you easily to access content from the web without needing any additional devices. Watch Netflix, YouTube, and more directly from your television. The TV features built-in WiFi with smart share.

This TV comes with everything you need and more. The 120Hz refresh rate gives you crisp clean viewing and the 55″ LED screen will show off your HD movies in true splendour. There are three HDMI ports and three USB media ports as well.

Given the huge price drop for this television and the free shipping – I highly recommend this deal! It is one of the best deals I have seen on a television of this size for a while.

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Was $161 | Now $70 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Was $161 | Now $70 & Free Shipping @ Amazon Canada

If you are a fan of Breaking Bad, need to get your fix and Better Call Saul just isn’t getting you that high, you could get this hot deal from Amazon today. Get the complete series of Breaking Bad today for only $69.99, with a regular price of $160.99. Because the set is over $25, it will also ship for free.

This is the DVD set and has about 3000 minutes of terrifying goodness. If you were sick or had to stay up for over two straight days, you could watch this entire set in those 50 hours.

If you haven’t seen Breaking Bad, you really are missing out on one of television’s greatest series. The show has its emotional moments and also its gruesome. There were times I had to look away and many times I could not look away. The adventures of Walter White and his gang make for some amazing TV!

Just to show you that this is the best price around, check it out at Walmart, where it sells for $107.97, although it does have a bonus bottle opener. I don’t think I’d pay $37 for a bottle opener. I didn’t see this set anywhere else on DVD, but know that the blu-ray set is about 2.5 times the price of this set at Amazon.

If you are more of a collector, Amazon also has a sweet deal at 63% off today on the Breaking Bad: The Complete Series Limited Edition 2014 Barrel. It regularly sells for $299.99 and is now on sale for $109.99. It has been on sale before, but not for this low of a price. Walmart sells it for $210.97. Otherwise, I didn’t see this set elsewhere either.

I’d love to pick up this set just to watch the two-hour documentary that is included.

You can take a read of the reviews yourself, but as you’ll see, the general consensus is that everyone loves Breaking Bad and loves the collector’s set as well.

This might make a fantastic Father’s Day gift!

Best Buy Canada: 40″ Dynex 1080p HDTV Was $400 | Now $250 & Free Shipping

Best Buy Canada: 40 Dynex 1080p HDTV Was $400 | Now $250 & Free Shipping

Go and buy yourself a television at Best Buy – right now. Best Buy Canada has discounted the Dynex 40″ 1080p 60Hz LED TV (DX-40D510NA15) from $399.99 down to $249.99. While larger TVs have a $49.99 handling charge, this 40″ Dynex comes with free shipping!

Okay my lovelies! It is time for price comparing this television. Often, I find price comparing TVs difficult because certain retailers only carry certain brands – and whatnot. I could only find this HDTV (In Canada) at Best Buy’s sister store. Future Shop currently has the sale television on sale from $499.99 down to $299.99. Best Buy’s price is $50 better.

This is a full (1080p) HD TV for beautiful colours and rich landscapes. The Dynex 40″ HDTV provides 1920 x 1080 HD for all your pictures, videos, and more. Combine this television with your favourite HD movies for a mind-blowing experience at an affordable price.

This TV has the following ports:

  • 2 high speed HDM (shared HDMI/DVI)
  • USB port
  • shared component video
  • composite video with audio
  • antenna/cable
  • 3.5mm PC/DVI audio input

Most reviewers on Best Buy purchased this TV while it was on sale. I read the first six or seven reviews; all of them thought the Dynex television was good value for the price. One reviewer said:

Got this TV on sale, great price for the size. Not the sharpest graphics but I dont need cinema quality. Built in speakers are also really loud, haven’t felt the need to get a sound bar yet. Good value in my opinion.

Other reviewers have suggested using custom settings (not base image settings) for a better picture. One reviewer detailed out some settings for you to try to improve the picture quality.

Turned down backlight, turned off overscan, aspect ratio normal, noise reduction low, adaptive contrast off, dcr off or low. Using these settings and the picture looks great.

Try following those setting suggests for the best picture quality. Many reviewers praise the volume of this television and say the size is good. Two HDMI ports are sufficient for most people as well. The television is an excellent price especcialy with free shipping.

Depending on your province, there may be an environmental fee tacked on to your television. For BC, that fee is $23.25.

Future Shop Canada After Hours Sale: Up To 75% Off Cookware Sets, Used Games, Cameras, TVs & More! (EXPIRED)

Future Shop Canada After Hours Sale: Up To 75% Off Cookware Sets, Used Games, Cameras, TVs & More! (EXPIRED)

Don’t have plans on this fine Saturday night? Then you’re in luck, because Future Shop’s After Hours Sale just started and during the next couple of hours, you can score plenty of amazing deals on TVs, laptops, cookware sets, used games and much more. This is a limited time sale and is set to end on Sunday morning at 10am ET.

If you’re in the market for a cookware set, then I spotted the T-Fal Easy Strain 10-pc cookware set on sale for just $99.99. Originally priced as high as $399.99, which puts it at 75% off, it comes with the following 10 pieces: 20cm fry pan, 24cm fry pan, 14cm sauce pan, 18cm sauce pan, 20cm sauce pan and 24cm Dutch oven lids. Made of stainless steel, the T-Fal Easy Strain cookware set features a 3mm gauge body that provides even heat distribution and is oven safe to up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s dishwasher safe and unlike a lot of cookware set, comes with glass lids. On Amazon, this same cookware set is currently going for $169.99.

The T-Fal Actifry 2-in-1 deep fryer is also on sale for $249.99 (reg. $329.99). With 1400 watts, it can cook various combination of foods simultaneously like: friends & vegetables, meat & fish, etc. Plus, it also has 4 programs depending on whether you’re cooking: meat, fish, poultry or desserts. That dessert feature is one that got me particularly excited because ever since trying a deep fried chocolate bar at a fish and chips place near my house, that’s all I have been craving for dessert. It also comes with a recipe book and a special measuring spoon. On Amazon, this same deep fryer is on sale for $270 from a $400 regular price.

With the exclusion of Xbox One and PlayStation 4 games, all used games are also currently 50% off. I must warn you that these are selling like hot cakes, so act fast! For any of you with a Wii U, the new Super Mario Brothers can be yours for just $22.50 instead of $44.99. Keep in mind that the discount will be visible at checkout. If the game you want isn’t available online, then you can also try to reserve it in-stores and pick it up on Sunday.

Shipping is free on orders over $25.

Best Buy Canada: Insignia 48″ HDTV $379.99 (Save $90)

Posted by on November 7, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Best Buy Canada: Insignia 48 HDTV $379.99 (Save $90)

Best Buy Canada has a satisfactory deal on this Insignia 48″1080p 60Hz LED TV (NS-48D510NA15) TV right now. Originally $469.99 according to Best Buy, this television is now on sale for $379.99.

Under $400 is a phenomenal price for a 48″ flat screen television with full high definition and Best Buy beats that price marker by $20. For $379.99, you are getting a 48″ screen, full HD 1080p resolution, and a 1920 x 1080 native resolution.

Your TV comes with all the necessary ports including: two HDMI ports, one component video, one A/V (composite), one coaxial cable (RF), one optical digital audio, one headphone jack, one PC audio, and one USB media port as well. While I prefer three HDMI ports (one for the PVR, one for the PS3, and one for my laptop), I actually rarely have more than two items connected at once since I no longer own a PVR. However, I assume most of you do. Two HDMI ports will allow you to have your gaming console and your PVR connected at the same time at least.

On the price-comparing front, I cannot find this TV many places at all. I did find it at Future Shop (Best Buy’s sister store) on sale for $399.98, which is $20 more expensive. If you want to make them price match, then be my guest. I also checked previous deals we have written up on the Bargainmoose. I blogged about this television once before, back in March, when it was on sale for $399.99. This current price of $379.99 is the cheapest I have seen this television.

This television has very good reviews on Best Buy’s website. Out of nine ratings, seven of those are a solid five stars. This reviewer compared it to others TVs they have had:

Tried a RCA 50 in LED tv but the picture quality and colors were poor. This tv has a very good picture with good colors and also has good sound. It was sitting next to a LG and the pictures looked equal. I also have a 39 in insignia which is an excellent tv for the price.

For the price and the size, you really cannot go wrong. You are getting excellent value for your money.

Even though this TV is HUGE, you will still qualify for scheduled delivery for free in most urban areas. I am not sure about rural Canada.

Dell Canada: LG 32-inch LED HDTV Now $230 (Save $120) (EXPIRED)

Posted by on October 16, 2014 at 7:00 PM

Dell Canada: LG 32 inch LED HDTV Now $230 (Save $120) (EXPIRED)

Dell Canada is selling the LG’s 32″ LN530B HD 720p LED TV for just $229.99, originally $349.99. You will also receive free shipping on your television from Dell.

I would not have even dreamed of a brand name 32″ flat screen HDTV for under $300 a few years ago, and yet here they are. I know you can get no-name versions for just under $200 these days, but I would spend the extra $30 or so for a brand such as LG.

Price comparing this unit was very hard as so few places in Canada carry it. I finally found it at two places. Through the Amazon marketplace, you can buy the same model TV for $359.93. Newegg Canada also sells this television. The LG 32LN530B is on sale for $279.99 with $21.99 shipping at

This is a great price and undercuts the price of the same size sale-priced Sony by $70. We recently blogged about that TV. The LG is a great deal for those who want brand name, but want to keep most of their cash in their pocketbooks.

The television is a backlit LED with 720p HD. It also features something called ‘MHL’ that allows you to charge, display, and control your Smartphone on the big screen. I assume this only works with android phones but I would be curious to learn more about it as it sounds like a great feature.

As for ports, the TV has:

  • 2 HDMI
  • 1 USB
  • 1 RF
  • 1 Component
  • 1 Composite
  • 1 Digital Audio Out

I find two HDMI ports the bare minimum a television should have these days, as you want one for your PVR and one for your console. Our television has six HDMI ports, which sounds great, but we never use more than three.

There are a couple negative reviews from people who quite obviously got lemon TVs. For the most part, the TV has excellent reviews averaging a 4.5/5 eggs on Newegg. One reviewer said:

Bought this for my father for father’s day. He had an older TV that was not a flat screen and was not high-def. After setting it up for him, it looks darn good, especially compared to his previous TV.

Other people use them for their spare room and many people use this as their primary television. The price is excellent for this size of television with HD capabilities. This television is part of an up to 50% off sale that Dell currently has.

Sony Canada: Buy A 4K Television And Get A Free PS4 Last Of Us Bundle

Posted by on September 19, 2014 at 8:00 AM

Sony Canada: Buy A 4K Television And Get A Free PS4 Last Of Us Bundle

One of the first things that gamers will do when they get a brand spanking new TV is – you guessed it, they’ll hook up a video game system to it. With today’s deal from Sony, whether you’re a video game fan or not, you’ll be able to do just that! For a limited time, when you purchase a 4K TV from Sony, you’ll also get a free Playstation 4 System with The Last Of Us Remastered! You’ll also qualify for free shipping. If you’re in the market for these newer luxury television sets, it never hurts to get a free PS4 system bundle with it!

4K televisions are the next big thing. They literally have to be seen to be believed! The detail that you can see in the screen of a 4K TV is so intricate, it’s incredible! Even seeing a delicious food dish on a 4K television screen will make your mouth water – the picture is that crisp and clear!

One of the cheapest 4K TVs that you can currently get from The Sony Store is the 49” X850B 4K Ultra HD TV, which is currently on sale for $2099.99 (the regular price is $2299.99). Add in the PS4 Last Of Us bundle (a $449.99 value), and you`d be saving a total of $649.99 – it`s a great bonus for such a big purchase.

I first saw a 4K TV demo at a Best Buy location half a year ago, and it still amazes me. I’m trying my best not to exaggerate, but if you have a chance to see one that’s on display at a retail location like Future Shop or Best Buy, I think you’ll be very impressed with the picture quality on them.

At this time, they’re still pretty pricey, but 4K TVs are still relatively new to the market. At Future Shop, a similar 49 inch Sony 4K TV is currently on sale for $1999.99 ($500 off), while another one is $2129.80 on Amazon. Listed below is a snippet of a review of the 49” X850B 4K Ultra HD TV from a satisfied Sony Store customer:

The colours are bright, motion is smooth, blacks are deep, and I have yet to see an artifact that isn’t the result of Internet streaming. The 4K is very impressive. There isn’t a ton of 4K content out there, but from what I have been able to watch on this unit (a few Netflix shows), this TV handles 4K wonderfully.

For a new and exciting TV experience, perhaps a 4K TV would best suit your needs. If you don`t have the funds for it now, there`s always Boxing Day! Here’s to a great weekend, Bargainmoosers! Happy hunting!

Walmart Canada: RCA 50″ LED HD TV Only $398 (Save $100)

Posted by on September 18, 2014 at 3:00 PM

Walmart Canada: RCA 50 LED HD TV Only $398 (Save $100)

You need to checkout Walmart over the next few days as they just launched their huge anniversary sale with discounts in almost every department. I ran across this beautiful RCA 50″ Direct LED HD TV on sale for just $398, down from $498.

I tried price comparing this TV, but all I could find were refurbished ones that are not available online. However, they are the same televisions so I have added them here to show you the price difference. Factory Direct sells a refurbished RCA 50″ for $449.99 and Angel Electronics sells a refurbished RCA 50″ TV for $499.99. With Walmart, you are paying less and getting a brand new television.

The RCA supports 480i, 480p, 576I, 576p, 720p, 1080i, and 1080P HD. Thus, the TV is full-HD capable for brilliant movie viewing. The screen is thin to keep the unit light while you still enjoy the large screen size. HDMI, composite, and component inputs as well as an integrated ATSC tuner are built into this television for versatility and compatibility with your console, DVD player, and more.

Most reviews on this television are very positive, with only one negative review in the group. This reviewer said:

No complaints, super TV, we love it! however, make sure you are home for delivery, otherwise you will have to pick it up yourself, NO second deliveries!

That is very good advice! Another reviewer mentioned hooking it up to their console:

I just bought this tv and so far I am happy with it,  it was easy to set up and so far the kids like playing their playstation on it Walmart Canada: RCA 50 LED HD TV Only $398 (Save $100) the colors seem good.

A 50″ television for under $400 is a good deal in my books.

Looking for something different? If you are, then feast your eyes on these other TV deals. Pick up an RCA 32″ Direct LED HD TV for just $169 (was $198). Over 250 reviews give this television an average 4.5/5 star rating. While it is a smaller screen, you really cannot beat the price! Amazon Canada: Six Feet Under Only $63

Amazon Canada: Six Feet Under Only $63

Amazon Canada has a hot deal on the complete series of Six Feet Under. With a regular price of $174.99, it is now $62.99. If you haven’t seen this series, you are definitely missing out as it is one my most favourite television shows.

Six Feet Under stars Michael C. Hall before he was the iconic Dexter. The show is about a family who runs a funeral home and the complexities that go along with living surrounded by death each day. I always loved the way they’d start the show with some very ironic death that would already have you on the edge of your seat. The entire show will haunt your dreams (in good and bad ways), but it is so dramatic and well done that you probably will have to order food in for a week, as you won’t want to leave your chair to stop watching every episode in the complete series.

As I always say, don’t just take my word for it, check out the reviews. There are 39 reviews with a total of 4.6 stars out of 5. This is because 31 of the reviewers gave it five stars. That is a pretty great rating. One reviewer called it “the epic masterpiece of modern time (and television)”. Another said it was the “best thing I’ve ever seen on television”.

Since this show has come out, there have been some new shows I love just as much like Shameless, Dexter and Breaking Bad. But at the time it was released, nothing could compare to getting my Six Feet Under fix. I would classify it at the same league as Sopranos.

Since you spending over $25, Amazon will ship this series to you absolutely free. It doesn’t look like many stores sell the complete series, so I couldn’t price compare, but the cheapest that I saw it was at Costco, where it was about $10 more.

Dell Canada: Up To $670 Off LG TVs

Dell Canada: Up To $670 Off LG TVs

Dell has a fantastic deal on right now on LG TVs, with up to $670 off select ones.

There are also a number of accessories on sale now for this TV event. My husband is looking for a new TV for after we move as we will actually have a finished basement in our new house. Right now we only have one TV for the five of us and while it isn’t usually a big deal, there are some times when you’d just like to relax and watch an adult movie, but you can’t because Sesame Street is on. My family aren’t the hugest TV watchers, but on rainy days or tired evenings, we do like to sit and relax with some boob tube. The kids also like to play video games, and they can get awful loud, so I’d like it away from my main living space. So a new TV it is. I will be sure to forward him this blog post and see what he’d like to check out.

If we wanted to go really deluxe, we could look at this LG 55-inch LED Smart 3D HDTV with six glasses. I know the kids would love it and the savings are enormous right now. It was originally $1699.99 and now only $1029.99.

I don’t think we want to spend over $1000, but we still want the great savings like $570 off this LG 55-inch LED 1080P HDTV. It also saves us money as it is an Energy Star qualified TV, so my hydros bill won’t go up with two televisions on. This one was originally $1299.99 and now only $729.99 – a great price for a new and large TV.

As an added bonus, Dell offers free shipping on anything you buy.
