I think Anna got a wall deckle for her little girl’s room and loved it. If I had a kid I would be temped to get the Mr. Fisher Cat wall decal for the kid’s room. It is just so adorable and was $90 | Now $59.

I really like this Organic Lines, it reminds me of a funky picture frame… but instead it is just framing your wall. It would look awesome against a darker wall. The wall tattoos from Surface Collective are fantastic, I love some of their designs.

I’ve recently made an agreement to purchase my first home, just waiting to do all the paperwork and get my hands on the keys! I cannot wait to move, and be able to decorate the house to my tastes. I’ve noticed that wall tattoos are becoming very popular. More and more in today’s society, people want to make themselves stand out from the crowd. Personalising the plain walls of your house can be another way to do this. It’s also a pretty simple and effective way to brighten up your walls, rather than messing around with paints, stencils, wallpaper. You can do something in a few hours with wall stickers that would probably take days or weeks to do if you were doing it from scratch. I tested the coupon code out on a wall decal costing $99, and it reduced it by $49.50 – sweet! I did think shipping was a little steep though, it was $17 on that particular order. But when you total it up, the 50% discount really offsets that shipping cost.

I’ve got a beautiful wall decal in my daughter’s bedroom, I posted about it back in October last year. You can see the image of it here. I choose the pocket full of posies in violet, lilac and pink. Everyone admires it, when I bring them into the room. It took a few hours work to get it up on the wall, because I choose quite a complicated one with a lot of detailed parts. There are many wall tattoos to choose from though, and some are a lot more simple. Some even come in one single piece, so would be a doddle to get up on the wall.

They also sell laptop tattoos, which I might be interested in getting. But I’d love one for my iPad – I don’t think they sell those yet.

We previously posted a Surfacecollective coupon code here, that’s when I got the wall tattoo for my baby’s nursery. That’s her nursery  in the picture at the top of this page. I choose the pocket full of posies in violet, lilac and pink.

I really love the final design of my Surfacecollective wall tattoo! It’s quite girly, but not too pink for my liking.

I did choose quite a complicated design though, and it took me quite a while to put it up on the wall (perhaps about 3 hours). The Surface Collective wall tattoo came on 3 pages, one for each colour in the pattern. I had to cut roughly around each individual leaf, then stick them all to the wall individually in the pattern of my choice. I was quite impatient at first, but then I realised I just needed to take a bit of time and care in sticking the tattoos to the wall. I found it difficult initially, to get the tattoos off the backing and neatly on the wall, but I soon got used to it and was speeding up with every sticker.

There are other Surfacecollective wall tattoos that are a lot less complicated, ones that only have one piece to adhere to the wall. But they wouldn’t be as much fun, would they?!

We live in a rental, so we’re not really allowed to decorate rooms without permission, which is why these wall tattoos come in really handy. You can add some personalisation to your rooms, without causing any permanent issues – the stickers can be peeled off when we leave.

The SurfaceCollective.com is a Canadian company, based out of Vancouver. They sell 2 things right now – wall tattoos and laptop tattoos. They’re basically vinyl stickers that you can put anywhere… on your walls or to decorate your laptop. I only found their site recently, and I was actually really impressed by the layout, the ease of use, and the design of it.

I think they’re a very good idea if you want to brighten up a room but either don’t want to be bothered with actually decorating it, or maybe if you have a rental property and are not permitted to do anything like that.

I was browsing through to see some designs that might be appropriate in my little baby girl’s room, and I’ve chosen this pocket full of posies wall tattoo ($59 or $29.50 with coupon code). It’s pinkish, a bit girly, so I think it will suit well. There are some other great ones for kids rooms too, like this Yes, Mr Giraffe ($59 or $29.50 with coupon code)or this Panda playground ($89 or $44.50 with coupon code).

As for the laptop tattoos, I might be tempted to buy one of these too. I really like the style of a lot of them, such as the Lost Lenore ($19 or $9.50 with code) or the Lost At Sea (same price).
