Staples Canada: $2 off Starbucks Coffee – Now $6.91

Posted by on June 23, 2014 at 9:00 PM

Staples Canada: $2 off Starbucks Coffee Now $6.91

Staples Canada appears to be clearing out a bunch of their Starbucks coffee. Pick your favourite roast and get each bag for only $6.91, which is $2 off the original price of $8.91.

You can choose in this sale from five coffees. The Starbucks Coffee, House Blend is self-explanatory and tends to be one of the most popular coffee blends that Starbucks sells. If you just want a good all-around cup of coffee, then this is the blend you wish to buy. Next, you can pick up the Starbucks Coffee, Breakfast Blend, which is a mild and light-bodied coffee. While it says breakfast blend, this might be a good coffee for later in the day as well. The Starbucks Coffee, French Roast is their darkest roast and fantastic for those who like bold flavour.

This Starbucks Coffee, Caffe Verona comes already ground for you. It features bold flavour with a seductive sweetness for a perfect cup of coffee. The Starbucks Coffee, Decaf House Blend also comes pre-ground. For those who love the test but don`t like the mid afternoon caffeine withdrawal jitters, this may be the blend for you. it is a medium-roast and sure to tickle your taste-buds.

So, let us do a little math. Starbucks Canada sells most of these coffees in the 1lb size for $15.95. Staples is selling their bags of 226 g for $6.91. One pound is equal to 453 (approx.) grams, which means that the bags that Staples Canada is selling are half-pound bags. To compare prices between Starbucks and Staples Canada you would either need to 2x the price of Staples or half the price of the Starbucks coffee. I decided to do the latter. Starbucks coffee works out to $7.96 a half pound if bought at Starbucks so you are saving just over a dollar per bag at Staples, or, approximately 13% off.

This, of course, does not take into account the natural fact that products sold in smaller packages will cost more per gram than those sold in larger quantities. However, buying coffee in smaller amounts can be quite nice if you want to try a new flavour without dedicating extra capital to something that might be a complete miss. This way, you can try out half pounds of several different coffee flavours without making the commitment of a full pound. You save money at the same time, which is always good.

If you just want to make a small purchase, you have until the end of tomorrow to do it and get free shipping. You can also take advantage of any sales going on at Starbucks with our exclusive coupon code.

While I’m not a huge fan of coffee, some days I feel like I should take up drinking it. You know those days when you are dragging butt and you just need a pick-me-up? I think I could totally go for something like this Via caramel flavoured iced coffee. I don’t like hot drinks and this sounds so refreshing on a hot day. You get five servings for $6.95 and if you buy four, you’ll get them shipped to you for free. That’s a few weeks of this sweet coffee right at your door.

The new collection of summer drinkware is literally quite hot! You can browse by size and colour, which is pretty cool if you have a theme in your drinkware or have a favourite colour. I think the stainless steel is so classy looking, plus the steel keeps drinks cold. This 16 oz. cup is perfect for those iced coffees I talked about above and it comes with a stainless steel straw. I like that kind of straw because you know it won’t get moldy inside. This cup is $22.95, so you’ll need to maybe add one package of iced coffee and you’ve got yourself a good deal with free shipping.

Buy a $10 Starbucks Gift Card For $5 @ Groupon!

Posted by on June 12, 2014 at 6:37 AM

Buy a $10 Starbucks Gift Card For $5 @ Groupon!

Quick post! For 48 hours only, Groupon has brought back their deal for Starbucks eGift cards. If you buy a $5 Starbucks gift card, you’ll receive a $10 one!

The Groupon site says that the deal is good to the end of the 13th June, but that there is a limited quantity available. If you want one of these Starbucks eGift cards, don’t wait until later in case they sell out. There have been over a thousand Starbucks gift cards bought already at the time of writing this post.

This is always a super-popular deal from Groupon, and they usually sell tens of thousands of these deals. It’s handy because everyone knows Starbucks, and most people probably live pretty close to a Starbucks location, and these Groupons can be used anywhere. I’ve bought it many times in the past, very useful for some cheap summer frapucinnos!

I see in the small print that these gift cards can also be used at Teavana stores, I hadn’t noticed that before. That’s a good deal for those of us who prefer tea to coffee.

The gift cards are good through to the end of 2014, so you have plenty of time to make use of them.

Starbucks Canada: Bring in Your Own Reusable Mug, Get a Free Tea or Coffee for Earth Day

Starbucks Canada: Bring in Your Own Reusable Mug, Get a Free Tea or Coffee for Earth Day

Happy Earth Day from Starbucks Canada! Visit a participating location today and get a free tea or coffee when you use your own reusable mug.

It’s Earth Day today. I’ll probably be commemorating the day doing Earthy crafts with my young son, or maybe digging out our garden plot if it doesn’t rain (c’mon Earth, don’t rain, I want to plant my garden on your special day!). But these activities require energy, and I could use a little more of it. Luckily for me, there’s a Starbucks at the end of my street and they’re offering free coffee for Earth Day.

To get your free coffee (or tea) all you have to do is bring your own reusable mug or tumbler into a Starbucks location. This freebie is only valid on Starbucks’ brewed coffees and teas, so you won’t be able to get anything fancy with caramel sauce or whipped cream or whatever else you like to throw into your beverage, just good old-fashioned basic coffee or tea. Which works out well for me, as that’s all I ever get from Starbucks.

The promotion mentions that this free offer is only available at “participating locations,” so hopefully it’s valid at mine. They’ve posted it to the Starbucks Facebook and Twitter accounts so it should be pretty widespread, but you can always call ahead to check if you don’t want to be disappointed. You can find contact information for Starbucks Canada locations with the store locator on their website.

You can take advantage of this offer all day today for Earth Day (April 22).

Starbucks Canada Freebie: Find Your Perfect Roast – Free Coffee Samples

Posted by on March 27, 2014 at 10:30 AM

Starbucks Canada Freebie: Find Your Perfect Roast Free Coffee Samples

How does a free Starbucks coffee sound? Sounds pretty good to me, so I’ll be heading to the Find Your Perfect Roast free coffee tastings at Starbucks this week!

I admit it, I’m a Starbucks addict. But I’m not a complicated one — I don’t go in for the drink orders that take a half hour to recite and cost as much as an entire meal. I just like good, strong, black coffee. And lots of it. So I’m pretty excited about this freebie.

Find Your Perfect Roast is a three-day event that will feature a free sample of a different Starbucks blend each day. It runs from Thursday March 27 to Saturday March 29 at participating locations (fingers crossed the location at the end of my street is participating!). Free beverages will be available from 2-3PM on each day, here’s what you’ll be sampling:

Thursday: Starbucks True North Blend. A Starbucks blend specifically for Canadians! This coffee is a more mellow “blonde roast” intended for everyday drinking. A nice, polite, Canadian way to start your free-coffee tasting.

Friday: Pike Place Blend. This one’s my favourite right now. It’s only a medium roast (I usually prefer dark), but it’s got a great rich flavour. According to Starbucks it features a “well-rounded blend of Latin American coffees with subtly rich flavours of cocoa and toasted nuts.” According to me, it keeps me sane and awake after a night of dealing with a fussy toddler who couldn’t sleep.

Saturday: Starbucks Tribute Blend. For your final free coffee, take it up a notch with this bolder spicy blend that combines four coffees for a full-bodied dark roast.

Are you a Starbucks lover? Then you’re going to love their End of Season Sale as there is up to 30% to be had off select mugs, tumblers, lids, straws etc.

There are a couple of other products available, but here are some that particularly stood out to me for their price and style:

I have to admit that the rose-coloured cold cup (last one on the list above) particularly caught my eye with its sleek and elegant style. I could totally see myself sipping a refreshing iced caramel macchiato with extra caramel this summer! Starbucks Store Canada End Of Season Sale: Up To 30% Off Select Mugs & Tumblers

For all those who truly love the taste of coffee and don’t just drink this black gold for waking up purposes, then a coffee press is one of those must-try ways of brewing coffee. Starbucks Canada Treat Receipt: Any Handcrafted Grande Beverage Just $2 After 2PM

Starbucks Canada Treat Receipt: Any Handcrafted Grande Beverage Just $2 After 2PM

Calling all Starbucks and most importantly coffee lovers, Starbucks has released an AH-MA-ZING promotion that you surely won’t want to miss! For a limited time, get any handcrafted beverage in a grande size (medium) size for just $2 every day from 2pm until closing time when you bring in your morning receipt.

I have to admit that when I first came upon Starbucks’ latest promotion, the whole “handcrafted beverage” stumped me a little but the term should be taken straightforwardly, with all of their beverages available for ordering, most notably their most recent addition: Caramel Flan Latte.

A regular latte but with caramel flan syrup, caramel whipped cream and caramel drizzle on top, the Caramel Flan Latte has already gained a fabulous reputation for being a tasty variation of the all popular dessert, but as per Starbucks Melody‘s advice, you could also try the Caramel Apple Spice beverage with spritzes of the caramel flan syrup for a heavenly combination.

What is your go-to Starbucks drink? Will you be giving the Caramel Flan Latte a try?

December 27 10% Off Coffee

Posted by on December 27, 2013 at 9:00 PM 10% Off Coffee

At, all coffee has been reduced by 10%, but only for a limited time. This includes: ground coffee, instant coffee, whole beans, espresso, decaffeinated coffee along with coffee capsules such as K-Cups, T-Discs and iperEspresso capsules.

Here’s a statement that I bet the vast majority of readers can easily admit to having uttered frequently during the madness and hecticness that preceded Christmas this year: “I love coffee“. We have all been there and while caffeine is part of numerous coffee routines, overpaying for it isn’t as fun.

For all the Starbucks fans out there,’s sale may be a great opportunity to save on Starbucks K-cups, which you can buy in bulk and get an even bigger discount. The Starbucks House Blend 160 K-Cup case pack, for instance, is on sale for $131.39 (regular $145.99), while at the Starbucks Store, these come up to $22.95 for 24 k-cups (or $153 for the same amount of 160).

On top of saving on coffee, you can also save up to 60% off during’s Boxing Week Blowout Sale, which as Avigayil mentioned in a previous post, has some pretty deep discounts on beauty products, vitamins and much more.

Starbucks Store Canada: Buy 1LB of Coffee & Get $5 Gift Card Free

Posted by on December 17, 2013 at 9:00 AM

Starbucks Store Canada: Buy 1LB of Coffee & Get $5 Gift Card Free

Buy a regular 1lb bag of coffee at Starbucks Store and you’ll get a free $5 gift card to give or keep.

If you normally buy your coffee from Starbucks, then this is a great deal because you are basically get $5 free to use on more coffee. The deal doesn’t say anything about getting a $5 card per bag of coffee, so I’m not sure if you can stock up and keep getting gift cards. That would be sweet. The only issue here is that shipping is free on orders over $60 and coffee is about $16 a bag, so you would need to buy 4 to get free shipping and you might still only get one gift card. If paying shipping doesn’t matter to you and this is a Christmas gift, you can still get it in time for Christmas by choosing express shipping at checkout.

While you are shopping at Starbucks, you might as well look at what other items catch your fancy and you could stick with just one bag of coffee and still get free shipping. Either way you are saving $5 overall, so do it!
