Staples Canada: Assassins Creed IV Black Flag For PS4 – Now $30

Posted by on July 9, 2014 at 6:30 PM

Staples Canada: Assassins Creed IV Black Flag For PS4 Now $30

Staples has a great deal on Assassins Creed IV – Black Flag: it’s now on sale for just $29.97.

When it comes to video games, I have a really bad habit of buying games and never playing them. In fact, I still have this version of Assassin’s Creed but for PS3 sitting unpackaged alongside BioShock2, Resident Evil 7 and Call of Duty: Black Ops on a shelf in my living room. Although Call of Duty has only been played once and will probably never get played again, but that’s a whole ‘nother story altogether.

Released in November 2013, Assassins Creed IV: Black Flag throws the player in the 18th century during the Golden Age of Piracy and centres around the adventure of Edward Kenway, a pirate who gets drawn into an old war.

As one of the top video games reviewers, GameSpot has actually rated this game 9 out of 10, with Shaun McInnis making the following persuading statement to play the game:

Black Flag doesn’t just present a beautiful world; it gives you a mountain of reasons to run off and go exploring.

Story-wise, the PS3 and PS4 versions of this game seem to be the same, but the real differences lie within the quality of the graphics, which you can clearly view in RajmanGaming’s Youtube video comparing the two. The colours are much more vivid on the PS4 and there are far more details (i.e. you can clearly see the waves in the ocean on the PS4, whereas it’s rather blurry on the PS3).

This game is actually still sold at its full price of $59.99 at EB Games and Best Buy. Future Shop has it on sale for $49.99 and Amazon has it at the lowest price, but still higher than the one at Staples, at $39.96.

Since shipping is only free on orders over $45, you can also check out the other two games for PlayStation 4 that you can also get for just $29.97: Need for Speed or Knack. Both are definitely great deals, although Amazon has Knack for $28.64.

If you’re on the hunt for furniture, then be sure to also use the Staples printable coupons available on our forum to save up to $100 off when you shop in-stores. There are three individual coupons that may only be used on furniture: one for $20 off orders over $100, another for $50 off orders over $250 and the last one for $100 off orders over $500.

Staples Canada: $2 off Starbucks Coffee – Now $6.91

Posted by on June 23, 2014 at 9:00 PM

Staples Canada: $2 off Starbucks Coffee Now $6.91

Staples Canada appears to be clearing out a bunch of their Starbucks coffee. Pick your favourite roast and get each bag for only $6.91, which is $2 off the original price of $8.91.

You can choose in this sale from five coffees. The Starbucks Coffee, House Blend is self-explanatory and tends to be one of the most popular coffee blends that Starbucks sells. If you just want a good all-around cup of coffee, then this is the blend you wish to buy. Next, you can pick up the Starbucks Coffee, Breakfast Blend, which is a mild and light-bodied coffee. While it says breakfast blend, this might be a good coffee for later in the day as well. The Starbucks Coffee, French Roast is their darkest roast and fantastic for those who like bold flavour.

This Starbucks Coffee, Caffe Verona comes already ground for you. It features bold flavour with a seductive sweetness for a perfect cup of coffee. The Starbucks Coffee, Decaf House Blend also comes pre-ground. For those who love the test but don`t like the mid afternoon caffeine withdrawal jitters, this may be the blend for you. it is a medium-roast and sure to tickle your taste-buds.

So, let us do a little math. Starbucks Canada sells most of these coffees in the 1lb size for $15.95. Staples is selling their bags of 226 g for $6.91. One pound is equal to 453 (approx.) grams, which means that the bags that Staples Canada is selling are half-pound bags. To compare prices between Starbucks and Staples Canada you would either need to 2x the price of Staples or half the price of the Starbucks coffee. I decided to do the latter. Starbucks coffee works out to $7.96 a half pound if bought at Starbucks so you are saving just over a dollar per bag at Staples, or, approximately 13% off.

This, of course, does not take into account the natural fact that products sold in smaller packages will cost more per gram than those sold in larger quantities. However, buying coffee in smaller amounts can be quite nice if you want to try a new flavour without dedicating extra capital to something that might be a complete miss. This way, you can try out half pounds of several different coffee flavours without making the commitment of a full pound. You save money at the same time, which is always good.

Staples Dollar Day Deals – Up to 70% Off

Posted by on June 10, 2014 at 10:00 PM

Staples Dollar Day Deals Up to 70% Off

Staples’ Dollar Days are back and with it comes a plethora of great offers from the office supply company.

While kids are just getting out of school this month, this is a good time to start stocking up on back-to-school supplies. I know you want to just stone me for mentioning something that does not start until September, but it is never too early to plan for it. Supplies are often more expensive right before school starts so that companies can make a greater profit, whereas right now Staples is trying to drop inventory as there is about to be a lull in demand for such supplies.

These Staples Binder Clips, Small 3/4″, Black, 40/Tub were originally $4.65 and are now discounted to just $1. You might be thinking you don’t need binder clips but these boys are real multi-taskers. Use them for keeping cereal bags closed and any other food bags that do not come resealable. They can also be used to hang artwork without damaging it: just use a binder clip on the artwork and then hang the binder clip from a thumbtack or whatever else you are hanging it from.

These Hilroy Shape It Up™ Binder 1.5″, Assorted Designs are fantastic for school and for keeping your child’s art and writing organized during the summer. They come in such fun designs like hearts, stripes, and circles in multi-colour. Originally $6.99, they are now only $2.

If you have a white-board at home for grocery lists, to-dos, and random artwork then pick up a Staples Dry-Erase Markers, Chisel Tip, Black, 4/Pack for only $2, originally $5.96. That works out to just 50 cents a marker.

My favourite of this sale is the Quartet Black Bulletin Board, Graphite Frame, 24″ x 18″ that was $29.99 and is now $10. This can be used for a home office, playroom, garage, or really anywhere. It is such a versatile piece of furniture. You can hang keys of the front of it, tuck mail behind the plastic ledge, and tack notes to the board. Use it to display your child’s artwork or to pass notes between busy family members. This would work well in a front hallway where every family member passes by on his or her way in and out of the house.

Dollar Days at Staples is the perfect time to stock up on school supplies, office supplies, and supplies for around the house. The only limit to their ability is your imagination.

Receive free shipping on orders of $45 or more.

Staples Canada: Whalen L-Shaped Desk Only $145

Posted by on May 23, 2014 at 6:00 PM

Staples Canada: Whalen L Shaped Desk Only $145

In the market for a great deal on a new desk? Staples has a fantastic deal going on with $145 off the Whalen Legeant L-shaped desk in cherry. It was originally $289, now $149.99. This item will also ship for free.

This has everything you need in a desk, from reversible legs for use in a corner or in the middle of a room, to compartments and drawers for files and storage. Made of high-quality engineered wood, it has a really nice cherry finish. I would really love an L-shaped desk as the desk I have now doesn’t give me enough room for all my stuff. I use a laptop and desktop simultaneously and having that L-shape would help out quite a bit.

There are 40 reviews on this desk, with a four star rating. The pros include an attractive design and being comfortable, and a con is that it is difficult to assemble. But, people have rated it as easy to assemble as a pro, so as with any review, take them with a grain of salt.

This desk is on sale because Staples is having their Spring Furniture event with up to 50% off, so if you don’t like this desk too much, there are many others (among other furniture) to choose from.

Staples Canada: Multi-function Task Chair Only $97 (Was $194)

Posted by on May 21, 2014 at 12:00 PM

Staples Canada: Multi function Task Chair Only $97 (Was $194)

Look for a good multi-functional chair? Look no further than Staples and pay less than $100 ($97.46 to be exact). The regular price for this chair is $194.92 so you are saving almost half off, which makes it an excellent deal.

I could totally use a new chair for my desk. The one I use now hurts my back and I’ve been meaning to change it for eons. But, I’m too busy sitting in this crappy chair doing work to actually order a chair. This might be the time! Professional-looking, apparently this chair was also made for long periods of time sitting at your desk.

If you are a sloppy eater like me, and often eat at your desk like I do, your chair is probably covered in stains, like mine. Well, this chair will eliminate those embarrassing tell-tale stains with its stain-resistant fabric. Even with heavy use, the chair will look new. It has a 15-year warranty, so you know you can’t do anything bad to this chair without getting away with it. It will look and work like new for years to come.

Multi-function means the chair will get your coffee, answer your emails and feed your kids. Ok, it unfortunately won’t do that, but it does have a back tilt and lock, contoured back for lumbar support, seat height adjustment and dual-wheel casters on a five-pointed-star base, which means you can do all the spins you like when people are driving you nuts.

This chair will also ship to you for free, so there’s another nice bonus.

Brother Canada Promo Code: 50% Off Everything!

Posted by on May 14, 2014 at 5:30 PM

Brother Canada Promo Code: 50% Off Everything!

Brother Canada has a new coupon code out that will save you on everything site wide; it is one of the best coupons I have seen in a long time.  Save a whopping 50% on absolutely everything site wide, all the way until June 1st, with this amazing coupon code.

Click here to shop @ Brother.ca now

  • Coupon Code: THANKU
  • Discount: 50% Off
  • Expiry: 1st June 2014

The reason this coupon is so amazing is that you can use it on everything site wide.  That means you can use it on their printers as well.  It is pretty unusual for a company (let alone an electronics company) to have such a high value coupon to offer us.

You can use this coupon one of two ways (or both if you really want to).  You can buy some new products for your home and home office and save a bundle, or you can be the office hero to your boss and suggest a new printer, fax machine, scanner or something else your office may need and in the process, save your company a lot of money.

You could get this Brother Mono Laser Printer DCP 3-in-1 that was $199.99 for just $99.99 with this coupon code.  That is a pretty incredible deal! I found the exact same printer over at Staples for $199.96, more than double the price at Brother with this coupon code.

Another great thing to get for your home would be a label maker.  I have mentioned many times before how often I use labels as a way to organize at home, and you can start to do this as well. As far as label makers go, there is no need to get the most expensive because the less expensive ones do the trick. This Brother professional label maker that was $99.99, now just $49.99 with this coupon, would be perfect for home or office use. It gets a 4.5 star rating out of 5 stars.  I also found it at Best Buy for $57.98, which would normally be a great price, but with the coupon code at Brother the price is much lower.

Another thing you could save on is printer ink.  I find I sometimes spend a lot of money on the cost of ink to the point where I could almost get a new printer instead for the same amount.

Brother Canada offers free shipping for every single order of $50 or more.

You will find this awesome Brother coupon and any others posted up on the Bargainmoose coupon forum.

Staples Canada: Business Tools Event With Up To 50% Off

Staples Canada: Business Tools Event With Up To 50% Off

If you are in need of tools for your business (and really, who isn’t?), Staples has the deal for you. Get up to 50% off during their big business tools event.

While I was originally going to write about the 40% off writing instruments events, I couldn’t open any links, so I think that event might only be in-store. The business tools event, however, which gives you up to 50% off, is definitely online. I work from home every day and while my computer and telephone are the most important tools in my business, I always seem to be missing other things, and I think I see a few I’d like to get from Staples today.

First off – tape! Do you think I can ever find tape when I need it? No! And I do need it quite a bit. A tape dispenser would be the perfect addition to my desk and this Scotch stiletto shoe tape dispenser adds to the sexy vibe of my home office. It would also look great on anyone’s office desk, as it tells others something about you. Does Mom have a shoe fetish? She’d probably fancy one of these rather than shoes she didn’t pick out herself. Get it for only $11.02, was $14.70.

As a scrapbooker, I did have my own paper trimmer, but my kids stole it and now it doesn’t work quite right. I definitely need a new one and I’d like one they can’t really lift, like this X-ACTO 12″ premium wood laser trimmer. It was $69.99, now $41.99.

Shipping is free on orders of $45, so during this sale you could really fill up your basket (without emptying your wallet).

Staples Canada: iPad Mini Only $299

Posted by on April 28, 2014 at 12:30 PM

Staples Canada: iPad Mini Only $299

Staples Canada has the 16GB Wi-fi iPad Mini on sale for only $299 right now.

The iPad Mini is the ultimate tablet. It is light weight, small enough to throw in your bag, but large enough to read newspapers on and play games comfortably on the screen. It also costs substantially less than the regular iPad, so you are saving several hundred $$$. The price point is perfect, the quality is there, and it’s a beautiful machine too.

Staples is sporting the best price (by a wee margin) over the competitors. Right now seems like a popular time for the Mini to be on sale, so Best Buy and Future Shop both have it on sale for $299.99. Yup, $1 more. Save that $1 and go buy yourself a drink at McDonalds or something. Now, the usual price of an iPad Mini, and why I am really posting, is because Apple sells these little babies for $319. So you are saving $20 off the retail price.

Choose from white or space grey. Both are still in stock and they will ship for free because they cost over $50. I have found Staples Canada to have super fast shipping (it’s seriously intense), so you are going to get your new device quickly.

Staples Canada: Samsung Wireless Colour Laser Printer Only $130 (Was $260)

Posted by on April 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM

Staples Canada: Samsung Wireless Colour Laser Printer Only $130 (Was $260)

Get the Samsung wireless colour laser printer at Staples for half the price, now only $129.94, was $259.94. I’ve been told this is a really hot deal, that won’t last as long as the expiry date.

As I recently blogged, I could totally use my own colour printer. This one prints wirelessly, which makes it so handy. You can print from your wireless device through the Samsung app or with Google Cloud from anywhere.

It is also great quality with polymerized toner and up to 2400 x 600 dpi output. The ECO button helps you save on toner, paper and energy, saving you on the cost of running your printer.

While I’ve read that reviews are mixed, this printer has an overall 3.8 star rating. Reviewers say it is great value for the money and that it is an overall smaller home printer, and best for speciality at-home printing, like photos, etc.

Staples will ship this item for free in one business day, so if you need a printer now, this is a good deal that will get to you ASAP.

This offer is online and in-stores, so if you needed further incentive, you could travel to your nearest Staples and see what it has to offer, although ordering online is much more convenient, and like I said, free.

Staples Canada Printables: $25 – $75 Off During 5 Days Of Great Deals

Posted by on March 24, 2014 at 8:30 PM

Staples Canada Printables: $25 $75 Off During 5 Days Of Great Deals

Starting March 25th 2014, you can present a different Staples printable coupon in-stores to save up to $75 on items like camcorders, cameras, hard drives, monitors, tablets, laptops and desktop computers.

Valid for only one day each, here are the different deals you can take advantage of with the Staples coupon:

  • Tuesday, March 25th 2014: $25 off any camera or camcorder $99+
  • Wednesday, March 26th 2014: $30 off any hard drive $100+
  • Thursday, March 27th 2014: $50 off any computer monitor $149+
  • Friday, March 28th 2014: $50 off any tablet $299+
  • Saturday, March 29th 2014: $75 off any laptop or desktop computer $599+

As I’m due to give birth soon, I have been planning to add a whole bunch of feel-good movies onto a hard drive to potentially distract myself and hubby with at the hospital. Whether we’ll actually get to watch them is something I’ll have to update you moosers on later, but in the meantime that’s the plan, with the only problem being that I’m in need of a new external hard drive. So I’ll probably be using the Wednesday coupon to save $30 on the Western Digital 4TB USB 3.0 My Book external hard drive priced at $189.99. Although it’s $171.24 at both Best Buy and Future Shop, with the coupon, it comes down to just $159.99 at Staples.

In any case, there is definitely no shortage of stock to choose from; just make sure to carefully price compare with all of the other major stores first!
