This is a Canadian deal for those of you who hold an SPC (Student Price Card). Saturday the 7^th of March is one of their “double discount days!”

I’ll not paste every single retailer in here, but here are some examples of their excellent discounts tomorrow:

• Bluenotes Canada – 20% off everything
• National Sports – $10 off $50 / $20 off $100
• Esprit – 30% off everything

As you can see, most of the stores are clothing and fashion stores, and a few sports stores. Definitely the opportunity to nab a few bargains there!

If you are a student but don’t yet own an SPC card, you can buy one at the following stores: Champs, Fairweather, Foot Locker, Jean Machine, Randy River, Sport Chek and Spring shoes. The online price shows that it is $8.50, it could be the same in-store. Spending $8.50 for the card is a really good idea, if you think about how much money you can save with the discount card. Even if you buy a $50 pair of jeans and save $10, the card has pretty much already paid for itself!

As I mentioned in the last thread about SPC cards, I said I’d try and keep you guys up-to-date if any more special offers appeared. Well, it appears that tomorrow they are doing one of their “National Shopping Days”, on Saturday the 27^th of September, 2008. Good news for us……

This means that if you have an SPC student discount card, certain stores will be giving you double their regular discounts… I don’t want to paste the full list in here as it is detailed on their website, but here’s an idea to show you what I mean:

• Aldo: 20% off regular/sale prices
• Foot Locker: 30% discount on regular price / 10% discount on sale price
• Guess Canada: 20% discount on regular & sale prices
• Levi’s Store: 20% discount on both regular and sale prices
• Sport Mart Canada: $10 discount on spend of $50+ & $20 discount on purchase of $100+

There are loads more big names too!!

So get your credit card ready, put on a pair of comfy shoes, and shop till you drop!!!

Do you have an SPC yet? Or is it perhaps time to renew your existing Student Price Card? Here’s a great deal – now is brilliant time to order a new 2008/09 SPC card.

If you don’t know what it is, the SPC is a discount card that costs you $10.50 to purchase. You don’t have to be a student, anyone can purchase this item online. Once you have it, it entitles you 10-15% discount at loads of familiar stores, such as Aldo, Foot Locker, Burger King, Bluenotes, Yves Rocher, Zellers, and loads loads more!

Here’s the special offer:

“Buy an SPC Card online between September 10 & 14, 2008 and receive two $10 Shopping Cards from your choice of one of the following: Best Buy, Esprit, Guess or Jean Machine.”

So if you order this discount card, you get some $10 gift cards as freebies too!! There are some terms and conditions, of which I suggest you have a quick read. For example, on the free Best Buy gift cards, the minimum spend is $50 (which isn’t too bad anyway).
