The offer is valid while quantities last, so they might end it at any time – I don’t have an exact expiry date. There are 3 models to choose from, and regular prices start at $941 (or $741 once you apply the Sonystyle coupon code).

I have a Sony Vaio notebook now! It looks like the black one in the picture above. I bought it about 4 or 5 months ago as a replacement for my old Dell Vostro. The Dell was quite a chunky notebook and the Sony Vaio seems quite slick and fancy in comparison. I really like my new Sony Vaio.

Right now, Sony Style Canada has a special deal on their excellent ebook readers! You can get an automatic $40 discount on a pocket edition, or a $50 discount on a touch edition.

The discount is automatic at checkout – just add one of the ebook readers to your shopping cart.

This means the pocket readers are only $199 and the bigger touch editions are $299, with free shipping of course.

I have the older Sony ebook reader, the 505 edition, and I’ve had it for over a year now. I love it so much… but I really want to upgrade to the touch edition! I cannot justify spending $300 though just so I can turn the pages using the touch screen. Although, in a demonstration I saw recently, I really liked the ability to look up word definitions. Sometimes I read books and come across a word I don’t know, and it would be great to tap it and find out what it means in the built in dictionary!

Here’s a good example of something that would be a good deal with this coupon code – the Sony PSP 3000 for $125!

Being the bargain hunter that I am, I thought I would test the coupon code with a few different digits at the end, and I came across another one that worked.

I think this coupon code deducts $25 off $100, for each product in your cart.

For example, I tested it with a few products over $100 each, a reader and a radio. The discount amount was $50 in total, a $25 discount for each item.

I cannot see any terms and conditions for this coupon by using google, so not sure exactly when it will end.

Just add some Sony items to your shopping cart, and apply the promotion codes there. I tested out the coupons on a lovely ebook reader, and they worked well!

There’s a deal in-store @ Sony Style Canada, which could be worth a mention to the savvy shoppers.

You must purchase a $50 gift card at Sony Style. When doing so, they will give you a free discount coupon which entitles you to a $50 discount on a $100 spend, on a future purchase between the 26^th December 2009 and the 7^th January 2010.

Here’s the nice thing – you CAN use the purchases gift card in conjunction with the coupon, when you eventually go to redeem it. This technically means you can get $100 worth of products for $50.

I think this deal was available last year too, so Sony Style Canada has decided to continue it this year. As the coupon can be redeemed in the Boxing Week period, there could be some good deals to find. If there was something in particular you were planning on buying from Sony Style, you could buy the gift card now, then apply the discount in your future purchase.

If you decide to buy a few gift cards to get a few coupons, you cannot redeem more than 1 coupon on the same purchase, they aren’t stackable unfortunately.

If you purchase one of the new Touch or Pocket edition Sony ebook readers from Sony Style online, they will send you a coupon to purchase $25 worth of ebooks from their ebook store. So once you have your reader, you could put the $25 to good use, buying up the latest romance, horror, mysteries – whatever tickles your fancy.

I know ebook readers are not very common devices (yet) but I think they will be in the future! They’re really taking off, what with the kindle, and various other companies getting in on the action.

I have the older Sony ebook reader, and I love it to pieces. It goes everywhere with me, and I have used it every single day for the last 7 or 8 months. The new touch edition with the bigger screen looks really good, but I don’t think I will be upgrading just yet.
