Half Price Baby Banz @ Snugglebugz Canada (Were $20, now $10) – Expired

Posted by on May 25, 2014 at 10:00 AM

Half Price Baby Banz @ Snugglebugz Canada (Were $20, now $10) Expired

In a recent email from Snugglebugz Canada, I noticed that their range of Baby Banz sunglasses is half price! They’re all marked down from $19.99 to only $9.99 each. I wanted to write about this for two reasons. One: they’re a great price and two: I love Baby Banz!

You can select from a huge variety of colours there, there are nineteen to choose from; such as key lime green or petit floral.

The image you can see above is my daughter when she was only one year old, sporting her first Baby Banz! When she was young, I kept them around all the time and used them any time there was a modicum of sunlight. She became very used to wearing her Baby Banz, and since then, has had no issue with wearing sunnies. Some children that I know hate wearing sunglasses! I think it’s a great habit to get them into, protecting their eyes from a very young age.

Thoughts on shipping:

When I did a test order, shipping to Ontario was an extra $4.35, so even at that, you’re talking about a figure of around $14 plus taxes if you are only buying the Baby Banz on their own.

But what I would probably recommend is to take advantage of the free shipping on Snugglebugz. All orders of $40 or more qualify for free shipping, so I’d say try to make your order up to that level. If you are expecting, or already have a little one, it wouldn’t be hard to spend $40 or more at a store like this. There are so many cool baby items on there.

Price comparisons:

This is the cheapest online price I can see for Baby Banz in Canada. Most stores have them for $19.99 plus shipping.  Some prices come close, but none are as good as Snugglebugz. Here’s a rough comparison of some of the cheapest prices & shipping fees elsewhere:

  • Amazon.ca: $15.99 + $5.50 = $21.49 (or free shipping on $25+)
  • Well.ca: $15.99 + $4.99 = $20.98 (or free shipping on $25+)

So, as you can see from the above, even if you pay extra for the shipping from Snugglebugz, you’re still getting a great price on these, compared to the other stores.

Any of the Moosers use Baby Banz and want to leave a comment below?

Snuggle Bugz Canada: September Sale

Posted by on September 24, 2013 at 4:00 PM

Snuggle Bugz Canada: September Sale

Snuggle Bugz Canada is having a huge September sale, with tons of baby stuff on sale, including car seats, feeding items and nursery items.

Not just stuff on sale, Snugglebugz is also having doorcrashers every day until the end of this sale, so check their site daily for special deals.

The Diono Radian RXT rugby car seat is on sale for 15% off. This car seat has amazing reviews, including how it saved someone’s child’s life. That is a pretty glowing recommendation. Was $359.99, now $305.99.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Angel baby bottom balm is also on sale. I’ve heard this stuff works miracles on diaper rashes and I wish I could have found it in Canada when my kids were babies. Was $13.99, now $12.49.

The Grobag Gro Anywhere blind is on sale too. It is perfect for travelling parents who have trouble getting their little one to sleep in places where light is coming in. My middle son was a horrible sleeper away from home from the day he was born. He would cry and scream the entire night and it was horrible. I wonder if an item like this would have helped to calm him, so he wouldn’t know exactly where he was! Was $59.99, now $54.99.

Shipping is free when you spend $40+.

SnuggleBugz Canada: 20% Off Beach Gear

Posted by on April 6, 2013 at 9:00 AM

SnuggleBugz Canada: 20% Off Beach Gear

Get 20% off all beach gear for your little bug at SnuggleBugz Canada.

The first thing you need for beach weather is sunscreen. Kids who burn are at a greater risk for skin cancer later in life. I am always worried about chemicals in sunscreen, so I try to overdress my kids and keep them in the shade. At the beach, this is almost impossible. To compensate, I try to use the most natural sun blocking products I can find. This Green Beaver organic SPF 27 spray has natural ingredients and Green Beaver is known for its organic products. Get it for only $17.59, regularly $21.99.

I absolutely love this Baby Banz flap hat and had one very similar for my kids. It covers the neck, ears and face, which is so important as the neck is so susceptible to burning. Get it for only $13.59, regularly $16.99.

If you hate the price of swim diapers, plus how disposable they are, check out this swim diaper from Apple Cheeks, with amazing reviews. Washable and way cuter than any disposable, get them for only $15.19, regularly $18.99.

We can’t forget the shades. I had Baby Banz for my babies because you can velcro them to stay on and your kid looks totally cool. Get them for only $15.99, regularly $19.99.

Shipping is free on your purchase over $40.

SnuggleBugz Canada: Get $50 Off Clek Foonf

SnuggleBugz Canada: Get $50 Off Clek Foonf

Save $50 on the Clek Foonf Phantom or Drift car seat, regularly $449.99 at SnuggleBugz Canada. Get it for $399.99.

With amazing reviews for quality, the Cleck Foonf is a durable, safe and comfortable car seat. You may think the price is high, but for me, safety doesn’t come cheap, especially when you are talking about car safety and my children.

The Foonf is Clek’s first convertible car seat, with the ability to be rear and front-facing. It is also a very narrow seat, making three across a reality in some vehicles. This is so important for people who don’t have minivans and have three kids still in seats, as I once did. I had to buy a minivan to accommodate, because there were not seats out there that would fit, but that is not a possibility for some people.

The Foonf has all of the great safety features you’d expect including a strong frame, and easy-to-install LATCH system and LATCH connectors. A patented energy absorption system will slow the seat down in a crash and limit the rotation of the seat, protecting your child’s head from impact. Deep side-wings and foam wings are also energy absorbing.

Comfort features include an easy-to-recline seat, integrated magnets to keep harnesses open when putting your child in and out of the seat and a fabric that is easy to clean and has stain, moisture and bacteria protection. That is so important, trust me. If your child is going to be sick or soil their pants, they are going to wait until they are in the vehicle to do it. True story.

Snuggle Bugz Canada: Valco Baby Zee Stroller Only $279.99

Posted by on February 22, 2013 at 4:00 PM

Snuggle Bugz Canada: Valco Baby Zee Stroller Only $279.99

Snuggle Bugz Canada has the Valco Baby Zee stroller on for only $279.99, regularly $339.99, with free shipping included! I googled around and couldn’t find this stroller for less than the regular price on other sites, so this is a great deal.

Word on the Mommy circuit is that Valco is an awesome name in strollers. The reviews for this stroller are glowing.

What’s awesome about this stroller is that it is really lightweight (only 18 pounds), which was a really important factor for me when I shopped for a stroller. I didn’t want to hurt myself doing the endless lifting in and out of my vehicle. Especially after giving birth or a c-section, you don’t want to be lugging around too much weight on one of the most important pieces of equipment you need for a child.

Another really important factor in choosing a stroller is that it is a smooth ride. I remember hanging out with a friend pre-motherhood and offering to push her stroller while she tended to her toddler. It was the crappiest ride ever. The stroller stalled and was basically like pushing a brick house across the mall. I actually have a cheap stroller like this right now, which I have to kick the wheels every time I turn or go in reverse. It gets my blood pressure up. The Valco Baby Zee is a very smooth ride with great durable wheels that are larger in the back.

Secondary to those features, it is nice to have some add-ons like an adjustable footrest, extended hood to keep the sun out of the baby’s eyes (so important) and a very roomy basket for all the shopping you will do on your maternity leave because you just need to get out of the house! I also like the full recline, because you know there will be many, many, many days you’ll be walking that baby through the neighbourhood hoping for just a few hours (or minutes) of quiet and rest.

It is also very easy to fold down, which is super important when you are juggling many things, and it is compact so it fits in even the tightest of trunks. You also have your choice of three colours.

If you check in the Bargainmoose coupon forum, we also have an exclusive coupon code for an additional $10 off your purchase over $100 at Snuggle Bugz.

Shipping is free on orders over $40.

Snugglebugz Coupon Code Exclusive: $10 off $100

Snugglebugz Coupon Code Exclusive: $10 off $100

Buying baby stuff can be expensive… so any little potential discount can be a big help. That’s why Snugglebugz.ca are offering the Bargainmoosers an exclusive $10 discount on a $100 spend from their online baby boutique. Here are the details:

Click here to use the Snugglebugz coupon code online

  • Coupon Code: SB-MOOSE10
  • Discount: $10 off $100+ (regular priced items)
  • Expires: 28th November 2012

The Snugglebugz coupon code will work on any order on their site, including sale items.

You only have to spend $40 to get free shipping, that’s a pretty low threshold and good for encouraging us to buy!

There are a lot of fantastically handy baby items for sale on Snugglebugz, many of which I used myself while raising my little girl. Here are some examples and a quick note on what I thought of them:

Avent Formula Dispenser / Snack Cup for $8.99 – I used this dispenser for formula. It was very handy when we were out and about for the day as it holds 3 portions, and it was also very easy to wash and keep clean. All Avent items are currently on sale until the 4th November 2012.

Baby cubes for $6.99 - When you’re pre-preparing baby food, you don’t need special containers, you can just use ice-cube trays. But I went for these baby cubes, and I found that they were much handier and more hygienic too. I was also able to write the date on the lids, so I could see which foods needed used up before the others. These were perfect for storing batches of cooked veggies and giving to baby at a later stage.

Baby Bjorn comfort carrier for $209.99 – Now, I personally would not have spent so much cash on a baby carrier, but this was gifted to me when my baby was born. And it is an excellent piece of kit. I used it for the first year or so, on a countless number of occasions. I found it particularly handy right at the very start, when I would wear it to the grocery store, with baby in comfort on my chest. Plus, it’s still in superb condition and I will be using it for my next child too.

P.S. Snugglebugz is currently running a semi-contest on Facebook. The more likes they get there, the more of a percentage discount they’re going to offer for a future promotion (starting on the 5th November 2012). They’re currently on 17k likes but they’re just a bit short of their target of 20k likes. If they reach that level, they will give out a coupon code for 15% discount on the entire site – please “like” them if you want to help out!
