Photobook Canada Coupon: 50 Free Business Cards (Pay Shipping)

Photobook Canada Coupon: 50 Free Business Cards (Pay Shipping)

Photobook Canada has just branched out into business cards. In honour of this product expansion, receive 50 free business cards with the following coupon. You will need to pay for shipping, which costs $5.59 most places

Click here to design your business cards @ Photobook Canada now

  • Coupon Code: BZCARD
  • Discount: 50 free cards
  • Expiry: 11th April 2015

Business card prices are hard to compare because you have different quality business cards. These cards are double-sided and printed on 270 gsm uncoated Smooth paper. You can choose from 33 different styles. Within the styles, you can have

  • 1 Design – $11.99 value
  • 5 Designs – $12.99 value
  • 25 Designs – $13.99 value

The voucher works on all three options, so your maximum discount is $14 worth of business cards. I like that you can have multiple designs – even up to 25 in one set of business cards! That way you could use an array of images. For a photographer, this could be a gold mine. Instead of having all your business cards with one amazing photo – you can pick five or 25 amazing photos. With 25 designs in a pack of 50 cards, every second business card is different!

If you do not need business cards, you can use these cards for many other purposes. Make personal cards with your name and phone number. When you are networking, you can hand out your personal business card with your Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn profile.

Alternatively, you could use the business cards as mini wedding announcements or the birth of a baby announcement! Sure, that is not what they are made for, but you can put any text you like in the lines available. It is also a great memento for friends and family to keep. I like the minimalist profile and think that these cards are perfect for sticking on the side of the fridge (or front). Use a pack of business cards to invite your friends to a party, or to advertise a new business coming soon the area.

Unfortunately, the base shipping method ($5.59) is not available everywhere in Canada. For those in rural or more far-flung areas of Canada, your only choice for shipping may be $7.99. I happen to live in one of these areas where the shipping is higher. Photobook Canada does not mention what areas receive the slower (and thus cheaper) shipping.

Receive free shipping on orders of $75 or more. For this and future Photobook Canada coupons, visit our forum.

Staples Black Friday For Business Deals!

Posted by on November 21, 2014 at 3:30 PM

Staples Black Friday For Business Deals!

Staples has an early Black Friday sale going on this weekend with tons of deals for business. Of course, you can also buy these business deals for your home as well.

I see a number of great deals that I’d like to get for my home-based business, that would also be great for an office or some even for the home or another setting.

For example, Staples has a Purell hand sanitizer dispenser on sale for only $3.96, with a regular price of $8.96. Today I was helping out my children’s school and my youngest son’s teacher walked by with a sick little girl. She had just thrown up all over his class. My first thought after “oh no!!!” was hopefully they got the sanitizer out and got the area and the kids all sanitized. I really don’t want to deal with vomit all weekend (or month!). Wouldn’t one of these be perfect in a classroom?

If you need a great executive chair and don’t want to pay executive prices, Staples has the Global Ride & Rest leather executive chair in black on for $800 off. Now $499 and was $1299.99, I couldn’t find this chair for less than $800 at other online Canadian retailers. With adjustable everything and gearshift controls, it even has adjustable lumbar support. My aching back is screaming for this chair!

While there is no regular price, I do believe this is a hot buy. The Emtec 8GB Click USB flash drive in a 5-pack is only $29.98. I price compared elsewhere and couldn’t find it as the five-pack but one was at least $12 and you are getting them for $6 each, which is essentially half the price. You know you’ll use all five too.

Staples offers free shipping on orders over $45, so get what you need and get your total over this low minimum for free shipping.

September 25 25% Off All Print Products

Posted by on September 25, 2014 at 12:00 PM 25% Off All Print Products

Do you know about Well you should! does amazingly beautiful business cards and other print products. I should know, does Bargainmoose’s business cards. They are having a super sale on right now with 25% off all print products.

Moo does ship from U.S., so you may encounter duties or fees at your door (as I did), but with this sale, you might be able to keep your order under the $20 limit for not having to pay duties. If you are also wondering about shipping, it will all depend on what you order and how fast you want your order. For example, if you want 50 business cards and can wait 14 business days, your shipping will be $8.25 and your business cards will be $16.49 (regularly $21.25). I found out this info very easily straight from their very handy shipping calculator. I love this feature as you don’t have to make your cards, add to your cart, only to be caught unawares about the secondary costs.

Totally out-of-the-ordinary business cards, you should check out the Luxe Project, where design teams create gorgeous new designs and help a good cause too, with 100% of the proceeds going to a charity of the designer’s choice. I love this and I love the fashion math designs I’m seeing. I may just have to get some more business cards for fun!

Again, if you want something different so you can stand out from the crowd (and business cards really need to), check out the square ones they have on offer. These are normally $24.99 to start, but are down to $18.74 during this sale. is not just business cards though. You can get stickers and labels and much more too. Why do you need stickers? There are many ways you can use stickers for your business or personal use. They are easy to place on anything to get your message or brand across. If you are getting married, imagine how easy it will be to have your photo or monogram on anything you are giving as a favour. There are endless uses for stickers – just ask my kids. You can get 90 postage size classic stickers for only $8.24, with a regular price of $10.99. The price goes up from there depending on size and quantity.

Freshbooks Canada: Free 30-Day Trial

Freshbooks Canada: Free 30 Day Trial

Shawn told you all about Freshbooks last July in this blog post. Back then they offered your first three clients free, but now they are offering you a free 30-day trial.

So if you don’t feel like reading Shawn’s description of Freshbooks, take a gander at mine. Freshbooks is the #1 (self-proclaimed?) cloud accounting solution designed for small business owners. This means you can track your time, use online payments, capture expenses and do other accounting activities all in the cloud while at your desk or on the go.

Basically, Freshbooks says it is “built for small businesses owners to get organized and get paid”. That says it all. As a small business owner myself there is really three things I need – to get organized, to get paid and for more time, but I don’t think Freshbooks can get me more time, although with such a simple system, they might save me time on the menial task of accounting.

While FreshBooks offers a free 30-day trial, when you go to the sign-up page it says you can use the free version forever. I’m not sure what the difference is between the free version, the paid version and the trail version, so you may have to try it out for yourself and let me know.

Starting Your Own Business Without Breaking The Bank

Posted by on March 23, 2014 at 8:00 PM

Starting Your Own Business Without Breaking The Bank

Starting your own business can be quite the daunting process. First, you might have to quit the job you have or work on the side. You wonder where and when you’ll get income and if you’ll actually go in the hole starting it. I actually quit a full-time job that I loved ten years ago to move across the province to be with my now husband. I started my own business and although I’ve put a ton of work into it, I’ve been really lucky to find paying work and keep myself afloat. Because my business is writing and editing, I didn’t have a lot of start-up costs. If you want to start your own business, besides the product for your business, you are going to need tools to run your business.

The first and most important item for running a business is a computer. You may already have one, and that is great, but you might need more. Although I had a brand new Apple computer when I started my business, it didn’t have Microsoft products on it. I could have bought them, but decided instead to have the capabilities of a Mac and a Windows computer, and to also have a desktop and a laptop, so I could work on the go as well. Laptops are not too expensive theses days and for basic functions, you can get one for under $500, like this touchscreen laptop. I’d like to invest in a tablet as well, as it is very portable and can help me run my business while I’m out with the kids or running errands. If I need to make a change to a document, I can easily do it while carrying the tablet right in my purse. I do like the larger 10″ screens and this $300 Microsoft Surface fits the bill nicely.

Cell Phone

To run a business, you most definitely need a cell phone, so you can take calls about your business while on the go. A landline is also beneficial as the reception is clearer and you can get a dedicated line for your business. Rogers has deals for around $30 a month and upwards for lines that have fax capability as well.

Speaking of being online, your business absolutely must have a website. If you aren’t technical like me, there are many companies out there that build your site for you or offer templates for drag and drop functionality like Go Daddy. If you need any images for your website, you could buy a subscription to a company that sells images for use on websites like iStockPhoto, which won’t cost you too much and will be worth the money you spend to make your website look professional. Bargainmoose has an exclusive coupon to get a discount on this service, which is always worthy to take a look.

Promotional Materials

You might not need to many promotional materials for your business – it all depends on the type of business and the type of exposure you need. The most important hard copy promotional item is a business card. I think everyone, even stay at home moms, need business cards. They are a great way to keep people remembering you and able to find you. I actually need to get on making these for myself! Vistaprint is fabulous for this, and sometimes they even have promotions on for free business cards with promo code! Watch for it.

Social Media

You should also take advantage of all free social media outlets to get your name out there, like Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest. Social media is so important to businesses today and the Financial Post wrote this great article on how to use social media to your advantage with your small business.

One thing I find daunting is the bookkeeping for my business. I was lucky to find someone who could show me how to invoice when I started, but I just have to be diligent in recording my invoices into a spreadsheet and recording all expenses and keeping receipts. For me, I rarely have receipts, but for those who do, you might need some kind of service to help you along. Quickbooks  is great for doing accounting online, including payroll if you need to do that. As always, check our Quickbooks coupon page first for coupons before you purchase online services. You may opt to get an accountant to do your taxes at year end, but I have always done my own business taxes, which has saved me a ton of money. Software like Turbo Tax for Home & Business is great, because they have lots of tips and tricks and easy navigation for entering in expenses, income and other relevant business items. And again, Bargainmoose has a coupon for that. Why wouldn’t we?

The days of spending a ton on long distance are gone. There are so many ways to communicate for free and with a lot of people. Here at Bargainmoose, we use Skype to communicate with varying groups in different departments of Bargainmoose. Because many of work remotely, this is an amazing and free way to talk to the entire group, or to individuals, at any time of day. We can call each other or just send messages, including attachments.

Bargainmoosers, what do you absolutely need to run your small business and how do you save money on it?
