Clarisonic Canada: 20% Off Clarisonic Aria Cleansing Brush + Free Shipping

Posted by on July 26, 2014 at 9:00 PM

Clarisonic Canada: 20% Off Clarisonic Aria Cleansing Brush + Free Shipping

Take care of your skin and save money doing it with the Clarisonic Aria facial cleansing brush. Regularly priced at $225, you can use the Clarisonic coupon code: INDULGE to save 20% off and get it for just $180. Plus, shipping is absolutely free as well!

Just Clarisonic’s skin concerns & benefits page is enough to convince me to get a cleansing brush as it features plenty of pictures of the difference in cleaning your face by hand and with the brush, but the main reason why I have been wanting one is because I have the worst skincare routine ever. The Aria is Clarisonic’s latest sonic cleansing brush and compared to the others, it features more speeds, a better timer and also comes with USB-enabled universal voltage plink charger, which the other ones don’t come with. It’s also available in either white, pink or black.

So far, there is only one review on the Aria on Clarisonic’s site, but on Amazon, I found the following five out five stars review:

My skin problems have not totally cleared up, but there is slow and steady improvement in the texture and look of my face. Having used it for less than 3 weeks, I still expect more of my skin issues to be resolved over time.

In fact, Krista recently blogged about this coupon in the weekly coupon codes roundup, but I thought this one was good enough to highlight in a post of its own because with the coupon code, the Aria, along with the other Clarisonic cleansing brushes are all cheaper than anywhere else. At Amazon, for instance, I found the Aria for $199.

Just like tooth brushes, it also recommended that the brush heads be replaced every month, but since these run at $30 for each and $46 for a twin pack, I suggest you also add the latter to your order. This way, you will also get to save 20% on it and get two brushes for just $36.80 ($18.40 each). There are different ones to choose from: normal, deep pore, sensitive or delicate.

The great part about the code above is that you can use it to save on anything site wide but keep in mind that the more you shop, the more you will save:

  • 10% off orders between $50 and $99.99
  • 15% off orders between $100 and $149.99
  • 20% off orders over $149.99

For a cheaper alternative to the Aria, you could get the Mia cleansing brush for $145. With the code above, you could get it for $123.25 or $116 if you add another item, like a brush head, to push the order over $50.

In general, Clarisonic also only offers free shipping on orders totaling over $70.

Estee Lauder Canada Offer Code: Free Double Wear Mascara ($28 Value) With Purchase Of 2 Skincare Products + Free Shipping

Posted by on July 24, 2014 at 6:30 PM

Estee Lauder Canada Offer Code: Free Double Wear Mascara ($28 Value) With Purchase Of 2 Skincare Products + Free Shipping

Estée Lauder has a fabulous freebie available: for a little while longer, you can get a regularly-sized Double Wear mascara for free with purchase of any two skincare products. Plus, you will also get free shipping on any order total! To pick your skincare products, simply hover over the “skincare” category at the top of any Estée Lauder page.

Click here to get skincare products @ EsteeLauder.ca now

  • Coupon Code: MASCARA
  • Discount: free double wear mascara
  • Expiry: 2nd August 2014

I’m sure most of you have heard of the beauty company Estée Lauder but what some of you may not know is that it has been around for nearly 7 decades! It was in 1946 that Estée Lauder herself launched this now well-known brand with her husband Joseph Lauder. Although they started with only 4 skincare products, they have since vastly expanded and have become one of the world’s most successful beauty specialists. Surprisingly, the Lauder family still owns the majority of the company!

The Double Wear mascara that you will receive upon entering the coupon code above at checkout is described as being a “zero-smudge lengthening mascara” and would normally set you back $28! Personally, I have stuck with my same L’Oreal waterproof mascara for a couple of years now and I’m always reluctant to try new mascaras because I have yet to find any as good as the L’Oreal one (in my opinion, at least). This freebie is definitely a great way to try a new mascara, especially one that would normally be pretty pricey. There’s nothing worse than paying more for an item, only to hate it afterwards!

According to its description, it has won SHAPE magazine’s “Eye Makeup Reward” and is designed to stay on for as long as 15 hours. I’m definitely skeptical about that last part but if you have tried this mascara, then make sure to share your review in the comments section.

Admittedly, the skincare products available for purchase aren’t cheap but this freebie definitely makes them more worth it, especially if you’re a regular buyer of Estée Lauder merchandise. Since I have yet to try any Estée Lauder products, I’m definitely tempted to give the Perfectly Clean triple-action cleanser/ toner/ make-up remover a go, especially since I barely ever have any time to properly clean my face before bedtime. Maybe a 3-in-1 product is one that could my dilemma of often skipping taking off my make-up! It’s $32 for 5oz.

Be sure to keep an eye on the Bargainmoose forum for an up-to-date list of all Estée Lauder coupon codes.

Tria Beauty Promotion Code: BOGO On ALL Skincare Products

Posted by on July 10, 2014 at 11:00 PM

Tria Beauty Promotion Code: BOGO On ALL Skincare Products

Tria Beauty has just released an amazing promotion that you won’t want to miss: for a limited time, buy one skincare product and use the code below to get a second one for free!

Click here to shop @ TriaBeauty.ca now

  • Coupon Code: BOGOSKIN
  • Discount: buy one skincare product, get one free
  • Expiry: unknown

Considering that Tria skincare products range from $29 to $105, this is most definitely an amazing deal! Tria Beauty is primarily known for its Tria devices, which specialize in either laser hair removal, anti-aging or acne and blemishes, but to get to the skincare products you need to hover over any one of those three categories and then click on the furthest right link from the menu that pops up. In short, however, there are eight products to pick from.

Laser Hair Removal

Anti-Aging

Acne & Blemishes

Keep in mind that the last two kits on the acne & blemishes category need to be used with the Acne Clearing Blue Light priced at $340.

I’m particularly tempted to give the skin perfecting foam cleanser a try at $29 because I have a really bad habit of not properly cleaning my face every night before bed. Since my skincare routine isn’t the best, I’m hoping a cleanser can help, especially since this one promotes healthy cell renewal, all the while exfoliating and unclogging pores. I also like that it’s designed to prevent skin dryness because having tried ProActiv in the past and having to quickly stop from how badly it dried out my skin, I have been looking for a product to clean my face without the bad side effects. As evidenced by this reviewer, the Tria blue light isn’t even necessary with it, although its description boasts the removal of impurities that can block the blue light:

Although I don’t use the Clarifying Blue Light product that came as part of my Starter Kit on a daily basis (i only use it when I feel like I’m going to break out), I use this cleanser on a daily basis! I use it 1x a day vs twice a day and LOVE how my skin feels after every wash.

If you’re in the market for any of the Tria devices, then make sure to grab our Bargainmoose exclusive Tria Beauty promotion code to get a free skincare gift. The gift will depend on which laser you get. For instance, if you get the Age-Defying laser, then you will receive a finishing eye treatment for free ($75 value). Plus with the purchase of any device, you will also automatically receive the age-defying skincare kit for free as well.

Even better is that shipping is absolutely free on all orders!

Well.ca Promo Code: Get 20% Off all Facial Skincare!

Well.ca Promo Code: Get 20% Off all Facial Skincare!

Today only, use the coupon code to get 20% off any brand of facial skincare at Well.ca. This is a really great coupon code as I don’t often see ones like this for Well.ca and definitely not across the board on a huge selection of brands.

Click here to shop @ Well.ca now

  • Coupon Code: LOVEYOURSKIN
  • Discount: 20% off
  • Expiry: 26th May 2014

Not just do you get a huge selection of brands available for the discount, but the term facial skincare is quite large. It includes toners, serums, eye cream, lip care, moisturizers and so much more. It even includes devices.

Lately, I’ve noticed that I look so tired in photos. This is mainly because of the dark circles under my eyes, from, you know, lack of sleep that having three children brings. I haven’t known what to do about it, but I’ve considered that there should be some sort of eye product that could help. This Skin Essence Organics ocular eye serum looks like just the stuff. It provides nourishing extracts to improve dark circles and reduce puffiness and smooth fine lines. It is made in Canada, organic and made with plant ingredients. With the coupon you can pick this serum up for only $18.40, regularly $23.

If you’ve been thinking about doing microdermabrasion, now is the time to pick up this Olay Pro-X microdermabrasion plus advanced cleansing system from Well.ca. You’ll save $9 on the entire kit and pay only $35.99, rather than $44.99.

Shipping is free when you spend over $25, so you might want to stock up on your skin products today. Check for all our Well.ca coupons in the forum.

Proactiv Canada: Free Shipping With No Minimum

Proactiv Canada: Free Shipping With No Minimum

Avi blogged the other day about how she didn’t find it fair that she is now an adult with acne. I’d have to agree that crows feet and acne together is just totally unfair. Well, there is something we can do about it and proactiv is a brand that is said to help all the big celebrities with their pimply faces. Maybe it could work for Avi and I. Right now they have some great deals on with free gifts with purchase and free shipping for a limited time.

There are three different packs to choose from, which can help you get better skin. If you have a lot of acne, you might want to try the deluxe Proactiv pak for ultimate acne care. It includes five products to balance, hydrate and protect your skin. As a teen, you might look at fighting stubborn acne like those giant zits you get with hormones with the Proactiv pak for teens that includes a blemish treatment along with the other products. Both of those packs cost $34.99. For day-to-day regular acne fighting action, check out the 3-step Proactiv pak with cleanser, toner and treatment and for only $24.99.

On top of these packs, you’ll get some free extras like the travel size green tea moisturizer, The Doctors secrets to a lifetime of clear skin book and ActivMember Benefits. On top of that, you’ll be able to choose from one more extra like a blackhead dissolving gel or deep cleansing brush and more.

I do see a little hitch though. You’ll be automatically subscribed to start getting a 60-day supply every two months, a month or two after your initial order. It will also be charged $9 shipping. This is something I’d cancel immediately as I don’t like being told what I am buying. Cancelling will not affect your first order and maybe you like it so much you’ll take part in this deal. Just be aware that it happens.

  • Discount: 40% off 4 items
  • Coupon Code: BLOOM50
  • Discount: 50% off 5+ items
  • Expiry: 16th April 2014

To be honest, my skincare routine could definitely use some improvement because I’m too lazy to spend too long in the bathroom applying all the creams and lotions I should be applying and that’s exactly why I have been eyeing the Clarisonic Mia 2 Sonic skin cleansing system for some time now. At $180, it comes with the main cleansing head, a sensitive brush head, a trial sized cleaner, an international charger and a protective travel case. But the best part is that it’s designed to remove 6 times more make-up than the regular way of just using a cleanser with a cloth. Plus, it’s waterproof and can be used in the bath or shower!

Just recently, Avi blogged about a great deal on this same product on Amazon but it’s currently out of stock and although its regular price is of $138.74, if you buy it along with 3 more items at SpaBoutique, then it comes down to $108 with the 40% off code or as low as $90 if you get 5 items or more in total. The best part is that those other items don’t have to break the bank either as Spa Boutique has quite an extensive collection of makeup, skincare and nail products to pick from.

Although these Spa Boutique coupon codes won’t apply to Eminence, Jane Iredale, Aquafolia, IS Clinical or Cellcosmet merchandise, you can use it to save on everything else.  Keep in mind that if you shop for over $75, then your order will also qualify for absolutely free shipping along with 3 free premium samples.

Get 25% off select spring purifiers at Pangea Organics with promo code.

  • Coupon Code: 3NEWSTART
  • Discount: 25% off
  • Expiry: Unknown

This coupon is valid on three items from Pangea. The first is the Egyptian geranium with Adzuki bean and cranberry scrub. The scrub will gently exfoliate while it cleanses, detoxifies and regenerates skin cells. It normally sells for $34, but with the addition of the promo code, you’ll only pay $25.50.

The second item is the Japanese matcha tea and acai and goji berry mask. This mask sounds just as delicious as it does healthy and purifying. Use it to improve the tone and texture of your skin. I am seriously considering this mask as my skin tone is horrible and my winter-ravaged skin is crying out for something. Was $42, now $31.50.

The last item sound equally delicious and is the Brazilian brown sugar with cocoa butter body polish. Use it to remove rough skin, which has probably permeated your elbows and knees and more. Was $22, now just $16.50.

Get free shipping on a $75 spend, so you might as well splurge and get yourself one of each of these products.

Lise Watier Spring Online Private Sale: Up To 60% Off

Lise Watier Spring Online Private Sale: Up To 60% Off

Lise Watier is having an online only sale for Spring, with up to 60% off some of its best products.

Only until Sunday, you’ll enjoy discounted prices on makeup, skincare and fragrances at Lise Watier, but only online. Here’s the kicker: the items on sale are either discontinued or have damaged packaging. If you don’t care about either of those things, this sale is a hot one.

This glitter eye palette is probably discontinued for the mere fact that the colours are technically “out” for spring. This is no biggie, as I don’t follow colour trends with eye colour. This set is all you need to create a sparkly eye, including false eyelashes, eye shadows and eye liner. It was $45, now only $16.

This hydra shine lip stain is a remarkable deal, at only $3, was $18. Available in four pink-ish type colours, I’m sure there is one for every skin tone.

For great skincare, the lift and firm duo has both a rejuvenating day cream, plus an instant lifting serum to give you fresher skin. Was $83, now $40.

As you can see, there are many hot and varied deals, so check out the rest for yourself.

With your order you’ll get two free samples and you’ll also score free shipping if you spend over $75.

Bobbi Brown Friends & Family Event: 20% Off Everything

Bobbi Brown Friends & Family Event: 20% Off Everything

Love Bobbi Brown’s line of make-up and skin care? Then you’re definitely going to fall head over heels for their Friends & Family Event, during which you can save 20% off everything!

Since Bobbi Brown’s products tend to be on the pricier side, this is definitely a great opportunity to save on your favourite products or maybe to even try something new. If like me, your make-up tends to be scattered all over the place, then have a look at their cosmetic cases, of which the Old Hollywood train case immediately stood out to me with its elegant style, black satin interior and a mirror on the inside. Originally priced at $250, it comes down to $200 and even though it’s labelled as a travel case, it could still be used every day.

Something I have been meaning to get for ages now is a quality brush set; one that can be easily stored away all the while remaining clean since I tend to carry my make-up with me without any protective bag or case. This is exactly why the basic brush collection caught my eye, especially since although originally priced at $220, it comes down to just $171 during Bobbi Brown’s sale. Included is a portable black case along with a collection of six brushes: eye liner, eye shadow, eye brow, concealer, foundation and face blender.

Paying over $100 for a brush set may seem a little daunting at first but according to several reviewers, it’s well worth the investment:

I have other brushes as mid price range, and wasn’t impressed with the results. I wanted a basic set with a case that would keep them protected and portable. After seeing these and hesitating because of the price, I gave in and hoped for the best. I’m so happy I did, the foundation, concealer and blending brush alone are worth the cost of this set. My makeup now has a very professional finish. I use them everyday. They are very high quality, the best that I’ve come across. with proper care, these will last for years to come.

Shipping is free on all orders over $75.

5 Tips To Save Money On Skincare

Posted by on November 2, 2013 at 8:00 PM

5 Tips To Save Money On Skincare

Skincare can be very expensive, but of course, well worth the investment.  With the increasing worries of what is actually in skincare products (and the fact that we are absorbing this into our skin), many people are opting for more natural options.

Making your own skincare can be a great, self-sustainable option that is good for your body and good for mother earth.

Here are three do-it-yourself skincare recipes that will have you making more!

#1. Citrus Facial Refresher

5 Tips To Save Money On Skincare

From Corrine’s Kitchen Spa, this recipe makes a perfect spring or summer spritzer to freshen your face up especially when the weather is hot and drying.  With this, you won’t need to buy the expensive Evian water spritzers anymore!

It takes eight hours to make (just because you need to let it sit) but it is super easy.

All you need are:

  • 2 lemons (only the peels)
  • A vitamin C tablet
  • 2 cups water
  • Small spray bottles

Instructions:

  • Boil water in a small saucepan
  • Add vitamin C tablet and dissolve it
  • Put the lemon peels in a separate glass bowl
  • Pour the hot water over the lemon and cover with plastic wrap
  • Leave it overnight to steep
  • Pour the mixture into spray bottles and leave a small peel in each spray bottle

#2. Yogurt Cleanser

5 Tips To Save Money On Skincare

This is a recipe created by dermatologist Dr. Shamban from the show “The Doctors”, from the blog beautylish and is meant for oily, acne prone skin.  The zinc and lactic acid in the yogurt helps smooth the skin, and the enzymes help to reduce pore size and moisturize.  The baking soda acts as a gentle exfoliant to get rid of dead skin.

What you need:

  • 2 Tbsp yogurt (plain)
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tbsp apple sauce

Instructions:

  • Mix all ingredients together by hand
  • Massage into damp skin
  • Rinse off with tepid water
  • Use once a day

#3. Apple Skin Toner

This recipe is from Gaiam Life, an authority on organic lifestyle.

This toner is intended for slightly oily skin because the witch hazel acts as a gentle astringent.  A lot of people swear by vinegar to keep the acne away because it keeps the pH of your skin balanced.

What you need:

  • 2/3 cup witch hazel
  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
  • Few drops of lavender (or other essential oil)

Instructions:

  • Mix well into a clean glass bottle
  • Shake well before use and apply on cotton pad and massage into face

#4. Find an All-In-One Product

Find a product that is gentle enough to use as an all-in-one product: one that can be used as hand soap, body cleanser, facial cleanser, and even as shampoo.  One that comes to mind (that smells great and is organic) is the Dr. Bronner’s castille soap.  You can find it in most organic grocery stores or even buy it online in bulk on Amazon.ca.  They have different scents, including almond, baby mild, citrus, eucalyptus, peppermint, lavender, rose, and tea tree.  You can get an entire gallon (which will probably last the entire family for a year) for under $65.

Not only does it help keep everything nice and clean (without all the parabens crap we are all worried about) but having one soap that does everything keeps your bathroom from looking too cluttered.

#5. Scrap the Spa Stuff:

If you’re not into making things yourself and would rather buy store-brand, it might be reassuring to know that there is little difference between expensive department store brands of skincare products and drugstore brands, especially if they all contain the same active ingredients.  Dr. Cheryl Burgess on the Oprah.com website indicated that price alone isn’t a huge factor in the strength and efficacy of skin care products.  If the drugstore brand and spa brand have the same active ingredients with the same concentration, then you’re not necessarily better off buying the more expensive option.

The skincare industry is huge, with every new marketer vying for your attention and your hard earned money.  Just because it’s expensive does not mean that it is effective.  Taking a bit of time to make your own skin care products reassures us that what we are putting on our face isn’t full of unpronounceable ingredients.  On top of all these tips, probably the easiest way to ensure your skin looks fresh is to make sure you drink at least eight glasses of water a day!

Bargainmoosers, do you have any favourite DIY skin care tips?

Groupon Canada: Celebrity Peel & Hyaluronic Serum Only $19 ($90 Value)

Posted by on October 8, 2013 at 11:00 PM

Groupon Canada: Celebrity Peel & Hyaluronic Serum Only $19 ($90 Value)

Get the Celebrity Peel & Hyaluronic serum for only $18.99, an $89 value at Groupon.

I wanted to blog this deal because when I was price comparing to see if it was a good price (it definitely is), I found a ton of great reviews for it. Although I don’t see it offered at many Canadian retailers, I have to wonder if this is a diamond in the rough. Maybe it will become something you’ll tell your friends about.

It is an anti-aging formula made with glycolic and salicylic acids that dissolves dulls and aging skin cells, smoothing out your skin and making you look younger. It is a gentle formula that needs no recovery time, but still produces the desired results. The moisturizer helps keep your skin hydrated, especially after the peel. This stuff is similar to what you’d get in a high-priced medi-spa, although it is gentle enough for first-time users.

My skin is getting older and duller, I hate to admit and I’m really considering this product. This review almost has me there:

I have done four Celebrity peels, one every two weeks, and the results have been AMAZING!!!

I’ve done series of peels through the derms before, mainly glycolic acids, and this is even more powerful,
the first treatment I only left it on for four minutes, and was amazed how powerful it was, I’m now up to ten minutes, a little redness and flaking for a few days to reveal smaller pores , more even skin tone, and the age spots on my nose are almost gone!!! You can also layer the product to even go into Deep peel territory.

Shipping is $4.99.

I really like Marcelle’s products. I’ve used quite a few of them and I find them great for my skin and not too expensive. They have two types of skin care product – anti-aging and hydration (read: for younger skin). I’ve only used the hydration products and found them light enough to use on a summer day. I’ve also used the eye cream, which I really needed and the makeup remover, which worked amazingly well. I can’t stand raccoon eyes after a long day.

BB creams are all the rage right now and Marcelle has a BB cleanser at a great price, especially once you factor in $4 off. Was $16.95, now $12.95.

Their twist push-up mascara is supposed to do for your lashes what a tight bra does for your breasts. Sounds intriguing. Was $13.50, now only $9.50.

How much do I need this BB roll-on concealer today? So much! If dark circles plague you too, check it out. Was $20.95, now $16.95.

I love that the shipping is free on only a $25 purchase, so you don’t need to buy a ton to save on delivery.

The Bargainmoose forum is where we keep all our Marcelle coupon codes, so check it out.

I use it one to two times a day depending on how bad the weather is. When I need extra hydration I leave the balm on and it works wonders. Regularly $40, after discount the balm will be $36.

I use mine with amazing mighty little Konjac sponge which I am a huge fan of as well! This fun little plant fiber sponge is wicked at taking off dry skin in the gentlest manner possible! Winter is hard on your skin, and while you look great all summer with a bit of glow, that’s when you start to notice skin damage, spots and for me, breakouts big time. I have never shopped at Pur Minerals, but looking through their skincare line, I’m definitely intrigued.

The See No More pore minimizer (Item No: 851114010) sounds like an amazing product for someone who absolutely hates their skin (me). The serum reduces pore size and makes your skin smoother and primed for makeup: $23.

Without parabens or formaldehyde and not tested on animals, the Pur Body Butter (Item No: 951131020) in a natural lemon scent sounds fab. Take a look at your legs. If they are anything like mine you might wonder who replaced your calves with a crocodile. Scales are for fish, not humans: $23.

The Pur Polish (Item No: 951135010) is so effective, it’s just like going to the beach every day and rolling around in the sand. You might look a little strange doing so, so try this instead. The reviewers recommend you do: $23.
