Here is a line from the T&Cs:

Consumers will save 15% on one product of their choice per transaction, per person, per day. Limit of 15 units of the same product (same product code). Discount applies Saturday, November 21, 2009, on all in-stock merchandise available in store only.

So, I guess you could either get a 15% discount on 1 big ticket item (such as on power tools),  or if you need a lot of smaller items, you can choose 15 of them. For example, 15% discount on 15 light bulbs!

If there was something you needed to buy in bulk… for example if you needed 50 floor tiles – you could bring your family in with you to buy them. As you can only buy 15, each other person could buy 15 too, and you could get however many you need. Does that make sense? Hope so!

While it would probably be nicer to have some sort of “Spend $X get $X discount” coupon from Rona, sadly they only seem to do these type of specific product discounts.

Unfortunately, the Rona coupons aren’t generic style (e.g. $10 off $50) but they all apply to certain products. This still might be useful to you if you were looking for one of these things in particular.

I think they will give you a sticker in-store, and you can stick it on the item you want, and get your 15% discount. I thought this would be really handy if there was a particular item you were in need of. How about some new power tools for dad on Father’s Day?

This is an in-store only deal from Rona Canada, if you’re lucky enough to find one at your local store! They’re selling a great little 6 piece patio set for less than a hundred bucks!

The brown and beige patio set includes 4 folding chairs, a table, and a big umbrella. It’s a great price for a handy little set.

Of course it might last you a year or two, I guess it depends on how you take care of it and store it when not in use. But for this price, a definite bargain.

Between the 6^th and 7^th of December 2008, Rona are giving away free gift cards with your purchases. For every $100 (pre tax) you spend, you get a free $10 gift card. For example, if you spend $600, that means a free $60 gift card! Of course, it doesn’t apply if you’re buying gift cards themselves, only on products at your Rona store.

I’ll let you guys into a secret – I hate hardware stores! Sometimes my OH drags me to get some special tool, and I walk like a zombie round the aisles. They’re so huge and sprawling, and there are 2 million different types of screws or bolts or whatever! I can’t take the pressure! But I know they’re a necessary evil… after all, it keeps him happy for half an hour.
