Chapters Indigo Paperbook Deal In-store

Chapters Indigo Paperbook Deal In store

This is just a quick post to let you know about a deal in a recent email from Chapters Indigo. All pocket paperbacks are on a special offer where you buy 2 and get the 3rd for free!

Sadly this deal isn’t available online, so you will have to drag your lazy bodies down to the Chapters Indigo store if you want to take advantage.

Since I bought my Sony ebook reader last year, I haven’t really bought any books in real life. My partner recently bought a paperback copy of Neil Gaiman’s The Graveyard Book, and it was kind of nice to read a proper book for a change. It was a very good story, if you’re a Gaiman fan… and even if you’re not. It’s aimed at kids aged 7 to 9, but that really doesn’t stop me getting my teeth into a good story.

(Deals ends Sunday 1st August 2010)

Canadian Freebies: Free 30 or 90 Day Subscription To The National Post

Canadian Freebies: Free 30 or 90 Day Subscription To The National Post

Found this deal for anyone who likes to read the news more the old fashioned way: A free subscription to the National Post for 90 days!

Here is the fine print:

The National Post print edition is applicable to only where National Post home delivery is available. This offer cannot be combined with any other offer. Subscription is offered to readers who have not had National Post delivery in the past 45 days. Offer expires August 31, 2010.

I have NOT tested the above freebie, because I found the following freebie first and tested it out before finding the one above. I found a free 30 day subscription of the National Post and it is what I tested. So if you are not sure you want a full 90 days, you might want to check out this offer instead:

As for it’s fine print, almost the same but a few more details:

Delivery is Monday to Saturday. The National Post print edition is applicable only where National Post home delivery is available. National Post digital edition will be supplied in all other areas. Offer is limited to readers who have not had home delivery in the past 45 days. One complimentary subscription per household. Offer valid until July 31, 2010.

They said my delivery would start in about 5 days.

Read New Stephenie Meyer Book Online for Free

Posted by Avigayil on June 13, 2010 at 11:00 PM

Read New Stephenie Meyer Book Online for FreeStephenie Meyer, the author of the Twilight saga, is offering her new book: The Short Second Life of Bree Tanner to read online for free! It will be available to read from June 7th till midnight EST on July 5th.

This is an eclipse novella. For any Twilight fan this is a great opportunity for a free read! Unfortunately the book cannot be downloaded to your e-reader or phone, and no it can not be printed out.

Product Description:

“Fans of The Twilight Saga will be enthralled by this riveting story of Bree Tanner, a character first introduced in Eclipse, and the darker side of the newborn vampire world she inhabits. In another irresistible combination of danger, mystery, and romance, Stephenie Meyer tells the devastating story of Bree and the newborn army as they prepare to close in on Bella Swan and the Cullens, following their encounter to its unforgettable conclusion.”

If you read it, let me know how it is! I’ll admit it, I have read the entire Twilight Saga, but I am an old-fashioned vampire lover, after the Bella Lugosi fashion… not really the teen romance type. But human/vampire love is an enjoyable construct.
