Book Outlet: 3 Puzzles Just $1.99 Each (Orig $12.99)

Book Outlet Canada is known for their great deals on your favourite authors. However, they also have the odd fantastic deal on games or puzzles as well. The following three puzzles have been reduced to just $1.99 each. Originally they cost $12.99, and Book Outlet regularly sells them for $4.99 – $5.99.

These are child size puzzles: 100 pieces each. Choose from the following puzzles or pick up all three:

My favourite is under the sea with a great big shark front and center of the puzzle. All puzzles have a finished size of 10.4 inches x 9.1 inches. Puzzles are an excellent way to spend the summer on days where it is just too hot to be outside and yet you do not want your child spending the entire day in front of the TV. For more fun, try mixing two puzzles together, or even all three puzzles together for older children. Then they have to sort out which pieces belong to each puzzle while assembling them.

I love putting together 500 to 1000 piece puzzles. I think the perfect size for me is around 750, but it is harder to find that size of puzzle. I do know that this is a very good deal for brand new puzzles and that is why I am blogging it.

Now, while you are at Book Outlet Canada, make sure you check out there other sales so you can spread the shipping costs a little further. In honour of school ending for the summer, receive an extra 50% off 50 children’s books. If your needs go beyond books for kids, you can always explore areas like books for $1.49 or less.

I also find the Boxed Bargains area very interesting. There are a million little summer activities buried in that section from larger puzzles to baking kits to toys to games.  The Cupcake Cookbook: Delicious Cupcake Recipes for Easy Baking complete with silicone baking tray is a great little project. originally $15.99, it is now on sale for $5.99.

Shipping is $3.99 for the first item, and then an additional $0.75 per item. If you just bought the three puzzles, your total would be $12.21, which is still less than the original price of one puzzle. The more you buy, the less the original flat rate shipping charge costs per item.

Be sure to check out the coupon forum for any additional discounts you can take advantage of.

Sears Canada: 60% Off NanoBlocks

Sears Canada: 60% Off NanoBlocks

Sears has 60% off Nanoblocks building sets right now. If you don’t know what Nanoblocks are, they are like Lego for adults, with teeny-tiny micro-sized blocks to build 3D buildings. Kids and adults can enjoy these sets, and the prices are outrageously cheap.

My kids and husband love building and doing puzzles. I don’t have the patience for figuring out puzzles anymore. I help the kids out, but I don’t do it in my free time for fun. My husband has quite a few 3D puzzles that he likes to put together. He enjoys the challenge. I enjoy the opposite of challenge right now.

Check out these cool sets, which range greatly in price:

Book Outlet Canada: Jigsaw Puzzle Sale

Book Outlet Canada: Jigsaw Puzzle Sale

Who is shopping at Book Outlet this weekend? I am! They are offering an extra 50% off a small (14) but terribly worthy selection of 1000 piece jigsaw puzzles.

All the puzzles were originally $15.99, but are now on sale for only $3.49 each! When I told my husband about this deal his eyebrows shot up almost an inch. It is incredibly low; you just do not see puzzles for this price.

Do you love puzzles? Want something challenging? Try out the Mind-bogglers! They are especially challenging puzzles because of their repetitiveness, colour scheme, etc. This Boathouse puzzle would be especially difficult because the entire scene is reflected in the water. This Blue Striped Snappers is also really difficult because the fish all have the same colouring and patterning. My favourite is the Leopard. It is also a mind-boggler because of all the spots, but he is just so majestic!

Shipping is $3.99, plus $0.75 per item.

As always, check the forum for more Book Outlet coupon codes before you shop.
