Amazon Canada: 20% Off PS4 & XBox One Games TODAY (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 11, 2014 at 12:15 PM

Amazon Canada: 20% Off PS4 & XBox One Games TODAY (EXPIRED)New games are on so many wish lists this year. If you missed on on the last sale Amazon had on new console games, then take advantage of their new 20% off deal when you purchase two or more select Ps4 and Xbox One games. This offer ends tonight!

This offer should work on all the games through the above link as the link directly connects to the promotion. The offer is only valid on the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Only games sold directly from Amazon (not secondary sellers) are eligible for the promotion. You will not see the discount in your cart, but it will be shown on your order total before you complete checkout. See below as an example:

Amazon Canada: 20% Off PS4 & XBox One Games TODAY (EXPIRED)

You can order more than two games, but you must order a minimum of two for the promotion to work.

As console games are terribly expensive, you can understand why this promotion is so lucrative. In my demo cart I used Little Big Planet 3 – PlayStation 4 Day One Edition at $69.95 and Halo: The Master Chief Collection – Xbox One at $69. However, there are many other popular games you can choose from in this offer.

A few titles sparked my interest. The Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor – Xbox One looks really cool. I really love the Lord of the Rings and The hobbit movies so anything set in that world really perks my interest. In addition, one reviewer said that:

The nemesis system really give a different personality to each of your enemy, so you don’t feel like you are bashing through generic enemy without personality. Each time you face an Uruk, he will remember what you did and it will impact on it’s motivation and personality. Each enemy is unique and you will never meet him again in another game neither will you hear the same line of dialogue

That sounds pretty awesome. I have played quite a few games and repeat dialogue and ‘bashing through enemies’ gets pretty boring after a while I LOVE the sound of that system.

I also think that Just Dance 2015 – PS4 Standard Edition looks pretty cool as well but it is getting mixed reviews. Evidently, Ubisoft is really pushing their downloadable content. I think dance games are a lot of fun (hello dance-dance revolution, which I SUCK at!).

Receive free shipping on orders of $25 or more.

Free PS4 Game + Other Freebies & Discounts @ PlayStation Store Right Now!

Posted by on December 6, 2014 at 4:07 PM

Free PS4 Game + Other Freebies & Discounts @ PlayStation Store Right Now!

Sony’s PlayStation Experience has been ongoing all day today in Las Vegas after announcing that a couple of games and special discounts would be going live this afternoon, it looks like they have made good on their promise! This week-end only, you can get 3 free games (one for each PlayStation platform), along with a couple of select discounts. Keep reading to find out more.

Although only available on select PlayStation platforms, here’s a list of the freebies that you can score as of right now:

  • PS4: Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare
  • PS3: Mirror’s Edge
  • PS Vita: Need for Speed Most Wanted

Only available for the PlayStation 4, you can also score the following game rebates:

  • Grand Theft Auto V & free Bull shark cash card for just $69.99
  • The Last of Us Remastered just $38.49
  • Dying Light Ultimate Edition: was $79.99/ now $71.99

Keep in mind that you might need to sign into your PlayStation account in order to view these freebies and deals.

I have to admit that Plants vs Zombies isn’t a game that I would normally ever even consider buying but since it’s free, I’ll definitely be giving it a whirl. This game is usually priced at $39.99. It looks like the perfect lazy week-end game to play, especially since GameSpot has given it a good rating of 7/10.

However, if you’re looking for something with more of a story, then The Last of Us Remastered is definitely worth its current discounted price tag. At Best Buy, The Last of Us Remastered is currently 54.99. I haven’t played it myself as I’m not the biggest zombie fan, but I have had to endure my hubby playing it and on top of stunning graphics, the story is well worth exploring as well.

Hurry to download these because although they are supposed to be available during this week-end only, you simply never know when they might expire. Even if you don’t plan on playing any of these game this week-end, just download them real quick to have them when you do have time to play.

Just Dance 2015 (PS4 & Xbox One) $25 & Free Shipping @ Walmart.ca! (EXPIRED)

Posted by on December 2, 2014 at 2:00 PM

Just Dance 2015 (PS4 & Xbox One) $25 & Free Shipping @ Walmart.ca! (EXPIRED)

Here’s a deal for those of you with either an Xbox One or a Playstation 4. Perhaps you picked up a bargain in the recent Black Friday sales and you’re looking to expand your video game collection… or maybe you are on the lookout for video game deals for Christmas. Walmart.ca has reduced the price of Just Dance 2015 for either console – right now, you can get this game for only $24.94 with free shipping!.

As has been the case with all Walmart online sales lately, we don’t know how many they have in stock or how long this deal will last. If you’re even interested a tiny little bit… buy now, think later.

Price comparison of Just Dance PS4: $50 @ Amazon, Future Shop, The Source, Archambault.

Price comparison of Just Dance Xbox One: $35 @ Toys R Us, $50 @ Best Buy, Amazon, Microsoft, The Source, Archambault, Staples.

As you can see, the Walmart price seems to be the best online in Canada – sweet deal.

Note that the PS3 version is also on sale @ Walmart for the same price, but you can pick that title up at that price from a couple of other stores too, such as Amazon and Toys R Us. The best deal is on the PS4 and Xbox One versions, as they are much cheaper than the competition, as shown above.

Just Dance 2015 gets a rating of 71 on Metacritic, my go-to site when I want to see ratings of recent video games. They say:

Let loose with friends and family by dancing to hit songs like “Happy” by Pharrell Williams and “Burn” by Ellie Goulding.

Do you remember when Just Dance launched back in 2009? I am not sure if it was the launch that coincided with an app being released, but I DO remember a Just Dance Autodance app which went viral. Me and my sisters used the app to record some funny dancing videos, after we’d imbibed a few cocktails to loosen the inhibitions. The little videos were really great, and ended up on our Facebooks, of course. Do you remember the Autodance app?

Shop.ca: Knack For The Sony PS4 | Was $40 Now $20

Shop.ca: Knack For The Sony PS4 | Was $40 Now $20

I hope you’re all enjoying your morning so far, my fellow Bargainmoosers! Your day just might get even better after checking out today’s deal at Shop.ca – you can now pick up a copy of Knack for the Sony PS4 video game system for only $19.99! This game typically sells for $39.99, so this is quite a bargain! Best of all, you`ll also get free shipping with your order at Shop.ca!

Knack for the PS4 is an early title for the system, but it’s a game that every Sony PS4 owner should try out. It’s creative, it’s fun, and it allows you to play as a unique character. It has plenty of positive reviews, and is a lot of fun, too. I tried out this game at a Best Buy location near my home, and it certainly got my attention! When I get a PS4 system (likely next year), I plan to get Knack as well. It’s just a cool game.

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas! With snow flurries, cold weather, and an abundance of holiday decorations littering retail stores, you can’t help but get a little excited if you’re a fan of Christmas. After all, surprising the people that you love with thoughtful gifts is always a fun thing to do, and it’s definitely one of my guilty pleasures. If you want to surprise someone with this game, make sure that they own a PS4 system!

If you wanted to buy Knack for the PS4 at WalMart, it would cost you $39.83. Listed below is a snippet review of this game from a satisfied gamer that posted this on Metacritic:

I have not put another game since I started. Knack reminds me of games of my youth (I’m 41 years old).

Happy gaming, my fellow Bargainmoosers! Here’s to a great weekend that’s filled with good times, great memories, and lots of fantastic deals!

Two PlayStation PS4 Dualshock 4 Controllers for $30 Each @ Shop.ca (EXPIRED)

Posted by on November 28, 2014 at 12:16 PM

Two PlayStation PS4 Dualshock 4 Controllers for $30 Each @ Shop.ca (EXPIRED)

This deal takes a little explaining so bear with me lovely folks. Right now Shop.ca has PlayStation PS4 Dualshock 4 Controllers on sale for $39.99 each for Black Friday, down from $64.99. Sign up for a new unique $20 off $50 coupon code right here, and then use the code on a purchase of two controllers. Two controllers = $79.98 and then you get $20 off, which comes down to $59.98 for both controllers. Divide that by two and you are paying just $29.99 per controller!

Honestly, there are two ways to use this deal. If you want two PS4 controllers than your best deal is to get both of them and use the coupon code. However, if you are just in the market for one – you could just add $10.01 to your cart of other stuff and then add on the $20 off $50 coupon code on top. Either way you will be getting the best deal you can find on these controllers right now.

Here is what they are selling for at other retailers:

  • $39.99 @ The Source
  • $39.99 @ Best Buy
  • $39.99 @ Future Shop
  • $39 @ Walmart (OOS)

As you can easily see, purchasing two from Shop.ca and using the above unique coupon code promotion will make this controller the cheapest you can find this Black Friday. The only downside is that this offer is only available for the black; the other colours are still full price.

I would totally buy both the controllers if I owned a PS4 because you can never have enough controllers. Are you having friends over for games night? You need an extra controller or two. When my friend Lee comes over to play, suddenly the two controllers we have for the PS3 are not quite enough. It would be nice to get a third controller.

If you are still looking for a fantastic deal on a new console, look no further than Anna’s Black Friday Console Gaming Deals Roundup! There you can find a summary of the best console deals around and get your hands on a new PS4 or Xbox One.

You will also receive free shipping on any order at Shop.ca.

Black Friday Console Gaming Deals Roundup!

Posted by on November 28, 2014 at 10:39 AM

Black Friday Console Gaming Deals Roundup!

From all the Black Friday flyers and deals at the various Canadian stores across the internet, I’ve noticed that there are quite a few sweet deals on consoles and gaming bundles with the PS4 and Xbox One, with some top tier gaming titles too. If you were considering buying one for Christmas, here’s a breakdown of a few of the best deals for your buck.

ONLINE: Xbox One console & Free Game – $349.99

If you just want the basic console, no bells and whistles, then consider this deal at The Microsoft Store. You can buy the Xbox One console on its own for only $349.99 with free shipping. PLUS you can then choose a free game as well, with choices such as Titanfall and Forza 5.

ONLINE: Xbox One 500GB Assassin’s Creed Unity Bundle with Kinect - $449.99

This is a super deal from Best Buy Canada! For $450, you’re getting a 500GB Xbox One console, Assassin’s Creed Unity and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, plus your choice of one more game up to a value of $69.99. Just add that game to your cart and it will be automatically discounted.

ONLINE: PS4 500GB GTA V & The Last Of Us Remastered Bundle – $449.99

You can pick this one up from either Walmart or FutureShop, whoever you prefer. They’ve matched each other’s prices on this deal. In this bundle, you will get a 500GB PS4, Grand Theft Auto V, and The Last of Us Remastered, all for $449.99 and free shipping.

ONLINE: PS4 500GB GTA:V HARDWARE BUNDLE – $449.99

Here’s a great bargain from The Source. For only $449.99 with free shipping, you will get the 500GB PS4 console, The Last of Us Remastered, GTA V, a DUALSHOCK 4 wireless controller, a wired headset, an HDMI cable, a power cable and USB charging cable.

ONLINE: PS4 The Last of Us Remastered Bundle & Free $75 account credit – $449.89

This deal from Amazon.ca may not last much longer, as it is one of the lightning Black Friday deals. For $449.89, you will get a 500GB PS4, The Last Of Us Remastered, and $75 credit to spend on Amazon.ca. If you prefer to have the account credit to spend on games of your choice rather than being stuck to a set game in one of the bundles above, then this would be a good choice.

Our old Bargainmoose author Shawn says:

Assassin’s Creed 4 and 5 as well as GTAV and The Last of us are absolute top of the line.

He’s right! Usually in gaming bundles, you get some crappy little titles… but these are excellent games in the bundles. Are you buying one?

Shoppers Drug Mart Canada: Game On Sale | Get 20X The Optimum Points On Video Games Today Only (EXPIRED)

Shoppers Drug Mart Canada: Game On Sale | Get 20X The Optimum Points On Video Games Today Only (EXPIRED)

Good morning, my fellow deal hunters! Shoppers Drug Mart is currently advertising a cool promotion on their website, and it just might pique your interest. If you pick up any video games tomorrow at a Shoppers Drug Mart location near you, you could get 20 times the Shoppers Optimum Points with your purchase (if you spend $50 or more)! If you don’t have a Shoppers Optimum Card, you could easily apply for one at a Shoppers Drug Mart location near you (and it’s free of charge). This can lead to some big savings, especially if you plan to purchase certain video games or consoles for Christmas, including the Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PS4, Nintendo Wii U, or Nintendo 3DS. You can find out just how much you can save by checking out the Shoppers Optimum Points calculator that’s on their website – click here to see how much you could save!

There are many great video games that you can save on during this one-day sale. It will only be valid today (Saturday November 15th), and it can help you get a huge amount of Shoppers Optimum Points that you could use for future purchases at Shoppers Drug Mart (yes, you could even use these optimum points to get more points once they show up in your account).

In fact, you could even spend $299.99 on a Wii U system today and get 20X the Shoppers Optimum Points for your purchase. This would translate to 60,000 Optimum Points, which equals to about $95 of credit that you could use (once it shows up in your account). So you could come back in a few weeks and use that credit on another video game that hasn’t been released yet, like the highly anticipated Super Smash Bros. U (which should retail for $64.99), which means that you’d still have about $30 in Shoppers Optimum Points to use! Now that’s a sweet deal.

This 20x Optimum Points promotion can also apply to other merchandise in the store (with select exclusions, which you could check out here.) Have fun today, Bargainmoosers – I hope you can all find some sweet video games and consoles at Shoppers Drug Mart today!

Toys R Us Canada: Mix & Match Video Game Sale | Buy 3 Games & Save 20% On Your Order

Good afternoon, my fellow gamers! Today’s deal at Toys R Us is a good one, so brace yourself for this one – if you buy 3 video games that are at least $29.99 for any system, you’ll be able to save 20% on all three of the games that you picked up! This applies to Sony PS4, PS3, Microsoft Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Wii, and 3DS games that are at least $29.99. You really can’t go wrong with this deal, especially since you’ll qualify for free shipping with your purchase! If you only find 2 games that interest you, then you’ll be able to save 15% on those titles!

There are plenty of great games that you can choose from during this sale! There’s NHL 15 ($69.99) for the PS4 and the Xbox One, Super Mario 3D World ($59.99) for the Wii U, Mario Kart 8 ($64.99) for the Wii U, LEGO: The Hobbit ($34.97) for the Xbox One, and even new releases like Sunset Overdrive ($64.99) for the Xbox One and Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero Edition ($69.99) for the PS4.

Now that the holidays are fast approaching, this is a great deal to use to your advantage. After all, when those Christmas lists are filled with video game requests, this 20% off deal at Toys R Us can alleviate some of the stress on our wallets during the holiday season!

If you wanted to buy these games at another retail location this week, you wouldn’t be able to get a 15% or a 20% discount on your purchase, so Toys R Us is the place to be this week! Just be sure to get those games before they’re out of stock! I’ve included a brief review of Sunset Overdrive for the Xbox One from a satisfied Future Shop customer below:

Fantastic game!! This is so much fun so far… Very fun game. I recommend it to anyone who likes having a lot of fun blowing things up!!

Happy gaming, Bargainmoosers!

NCIX Canada: Destiny For The Sony PS4 | Was $70 Now $50

NCIX Canada: Destiny For The Sony PS4 | Was $70 Now $50

Fellow gamers, I found a pretty sweet deal on NCIX that I’d like to share with you – it’s for the ever-popular video game Destiny for the Sony PS4 system. This title was just released recently, and now you can save $20 off the retail price! You can now purchase Destiny for the PS4 for only $49.99! It normally costs $69.99, so this is a nice deal – especially if your child has this on their Christmas list! You’ll also get free shipping with your order, which is always a nice bonus!

Destiny for the PS4 video game system has quite the following – it came out amid much fanfare, and actually looks really cool! One of my friends was literally counting down the days for this game to be released, and he would constantly tell me about how much he looked forward to playing it. In fact, he actually booked a day off from his workplace to play the game on the release date! He anticipated Destiny so much that he pre-ordered the game from EB Games and picked it up during its midnight release. Now that’s dedication!

This is definitely one of the most popular PS4 games of the year. Many PS4 owners would love to get their hands on this exciting game during the holiday season, so this deal at NCIX is pretty convenient for those who plan to buy this game anyways.

If you wanted to buy Destiny for the PS4 at Best Buy, it would cost you $69.99. I’ve included a snippet of a review of this game from Playstation Official Magazine Australia below:

Videogame worlds are rarely this rich and addictive. No matter your pleasure – story-based campaigning, co-op comradeship, or adversarial annihilation – Destiny delivers on all fronts.

Quantities are extremely limited, so get this deal while it’s still available! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

The Source Canada: $30 Off PS4 Controller – Now $40

Posted by on November 3, 2014 at 12:00 PM

The Source Canada: $30 Off PS4 Controller Now $40

The Source has a fantastic deal on the PlayStation 4 Dualshock wireless controller. It’s now on sale for just $39.99, which is a $30 discount from its original price of $69.99.

The PlayStation 4 may have been released last year but I guarantee that it will nonetheless be at the top of plenty of Christmas lists this year, so if you anticipate having to get one or are already considering one, then you’re going to want to get an extra remote.

At The Source right now, you can get it in the 3 following colours:

Looks like there is also a blue PS4 controller available at The Source but only in-stores. So if this is the one you want, then I suggest calling your local The Source store to see if they have it in stock before heading out and trying to reserve it. Both Best Buy and Walmart have this remote for $65 (the camo one is $70 at Best Buy) and the cheapest I have seen it anywhere else is $44.98 at Amazon.

I have had the PlayStation 4 console for a couple of months now and it’s definitely well worth the investment, especially in the case of any serious gamer that has yet to get it. Personally, I would totally go for the urban camo one as it’s slightly less conventional from the black and white ones, which are the most common since they are typically released first. When I bought my second remote, even the white one wasn’t yet available!

Despite widespread concerns about battery life, the PS4 controller is much better than the PS3 one has it’s more comfortable to hold and is more precise. The built-in speaker is definitely a nice addition as it enhances game play (though you may want to turn it off if your remote is low on battery) and the touch pad is pretty cool as well.

Shipping is at a flat rate of $5 per order or you can choose to have your order shipped to your local The Source store for free. In any case, $5 is more than likely the price it would cost to drive over to the store anyways, so you might as well save yourself the trouble! The Source Canada: $30 Off PS4 Controller Now $40

Best Buy Canada: PS4 500GB Destiny Bundle + Free Game Of Your Choice | Was $540 Now $480

Posted by on October 31, 2014 at 8:00 AM

Best Buy Canada: PS4 500GB Destiny Bundle + Free Game Of Your Choice | Was $540 Now $480

Hey there, Bargainmoosers! Best Buy is currently having a really sweet sale on their Sony PS4 systems – you can now purchase a White PS4 500GB Destiny Bundle and get a free $49.99 to $69.99 game of your choice! This is a $539.99 value, but you’ll be getting all this for $479.99! You’ll also qualify for free shipping – whooo!

Now that we’re gearing up for the holiday season, the deals for video game systems like the Sony PS4 will be spicy, and this is certainly one of those enticing bargains. You’re essentially getting a free PS4 game (you just pay an extra $10 on top of the typical PS4 Destiny bundle price of $469.99), and I’m not talking about older, outdated games from last year – you can choose any PS4 game that you want that’s from $49.99 to $69.99! Plus, you’ll also be getting the much-hyped Destiny game with your PS4 system, which was just released back in September!

All you need to do to enjoy this discount is add the PS4 500GB Destiny Bundle to your cart, then choose a PS4 game that’s priced between $49.99 and $69.99. The discount will then be automatically applied when you’re checking out.

This is a cool deal. There are many great newer games that you can choose from, like Diablo III ($54.99) and NHL 15 ($69.99). You can check out some other great PS4 games that you can choose from by clicking here.

If you wanted to buy the PS4 500GB Destiny Bundle at The Source or Amazon, you’d be paying $469.99, and you wouldn’t be getting any extra games to choose from. Here’s a brief review of this PS4 system from a satisfied Best Buy customer:

Good value in this bundle. Destiny is awesome. My PS4 is awesome.

Get this while they’re still in stock! Happy gaming, my fellow deal hunters!

The Source Canada: Playstation 4 DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller (Damaged Box) | Was $70 Now $43 (Expired)

Posted by on October 28, 2014 at 10:19 AM

The Source Canada: Playstation 4 DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller (Damaged Box) | Was $70 Now $43 (Expired)

Good morning, my fellow deal hunters! The Source is currently having a sale on Playstation 4 DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controllers that have a damaged retail box. Normally retailing at The Source for $69.99, you can now purchase one of these PS4 controllers for $42.24 – that’s one spicy deal! Although the box is damaged, will that really matter when you tear it open so you can use this PS4 controller to play your video games? Another nice bonus is that you’ll also qualify for free shipping when you order this Sony PS4 controller!

If you plan to play your Sony PS4 video game system with your friends, then getting a second controller is a necessity (unless you’d rather play with them online). Since Sony Playstation 4 systems typically come with only 1 controller, you would need to buy a second controller separately, which can be pricey. After all, it would cost you $64.99 if you bought a Playstation 4 DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller if you got it from popular retailers like Best Buy or Future Shop.

I’m still on the fence regarding the PS4 and Xbox One console war. I just want to see what other games will be released next year before I make a decision on the console that I want to purchase, since I’m very happy currently with my Wii U, PS3, and Xbox 360 (not to mention the many classic video game systems that I still buy games for). However, if I had to make a decision based on the games that are currently available, I would go with the PS4.

I’ve included a brief review of this PS4 DUALSHOCK 4 Wireless Controller from a satisfied Best Buy customer below:

Controller is great! The controller won’t fall apart and no need to swap battery or tape the light. BTW the light is used with the PS camera to track movement and use Gameroom. Great for kids!

Like many clearance deals at The Source, this may not be in stock for very long, so check it out now! Happy hunting, Bargainmoosers!

Future Shop Canada: Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes | Was $35 Now $20

Posted by on October 27, 2014 at 11:30 AM

Future Shop Canada: Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes | Was $35 Now $20

Good morning, my fellow video game fans! Future Shop currently has a good sale on Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for the Sony PS4 system – it normally costs $34.99, but you can now purchase this game for just $19.99 (plus $5 shipping). If you spend at least $5.01 more at Future Shop, you’ll qualify for free shipping, so I highly recommend that you pick up a cheap game or movie – after all, you’ll be spending $5 on shipping anyways if you don’t buy anything else. You may as well get something extra with that money.

If you’ve ever heard of the Metal Gear series, then you likely know how successful they’ve been. Originally appearing on the original Nintendo video game system in 1988 (it was first released in Japan on the MSX computer in 1987), Metal Gear experienced a huge resurgence a decade later when this series made a remarkable return on the Sony Playstation in 1998. Metal Gear Solid was a huge hit, and its cinematic-like cutscenes and exceptionally fun stealth gameplay made this one of the most popular games that year.

Fast-forward to 2014, and it’s easy to see that the Metal Gear Solid series is very popular with young and older gamers alike. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes may not be a full-fledged Metal Gear Solid game (according to reviews, it’s more like a side-quest), but it can still be an important piece of your video game collection.

If you wanted to buy Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes for the PS4 at Game Access, it would cost you $34.99. It was $29.99 at Newegg, but it’s currently out of stock. I’ve included a brief review of this game from a satisfied Future Shop customer below:

MGS Ground Zero is worth every penny. Beat the game in about 2 hours however only 8% done. A lot of achievements and Easter eggs Future Shop Canada: Metal Gear Solid V Ground Zeroes | Was $35 Now $20

Some of the titles that you can save on with this deal include the recently released and highly popular Destiny ($52.49 - was $69.99), EA Sports UFC ($52.49 - was $69.99), NHL 2015 ($52.49 - was $69.99), Diablo III ($41.24 - was $54.99), and Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn ($33.74 - was $44.99). If the game is at least $40, it will qualify for this deal. Remember that you have to purchase at least 3 of these PS4 games to qualify for this deal – if you did, you’ll see the amount that you’re saving in your shopping cart.

I don’t have a PS4 system yet, but it looks like there’s plenty of great games that are currently out. From classic sports titles like FIFA 2015 to the latest popular titles like Destiny, the PS4 is definitely picking up some steam!

If you were to purchase these titles anywhere else, you’d be paying the regular retail prices that Best Buy usually charges – for example, Destiny was just released about a month ago, and it’s more than $69 everywhere (it’s $69.99 at Future Shop, and $69.96 at WalMart). I’ve listed a brief review of Destiny for the PS4 from a satisfied Future Shop customer below:

Since I received my copy of Destiny for PS4 I have not been able to stop playing it. It puts Titanfall to shame!

This deal may not last for long, so check it out while it’s still valid! Happy gaming, my fellow Bargainmoosers!

Select Games Starting From $1.50 @ Sony PlayStation Network Flash Sale

Fancy yourself a gamer? Grab a couple of games starting at $1.50 at Sony’s PlayStation Network right now! Keep in mind that while you will be able to see the Flash Sale, you will need to sign into your PSN account in order to descriptions and actually make a purchase.

The cheapest game you can get is Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for $1.49. Rekeased in 2009, it’s playable on PS3, PSP and PS Vita and it actually boasts a near perfect score on IGN and is labelled as one of their Editors’ Choice games. It’s even 8.8/10 on GameSpot! In fact, here’s a snippit from James Mielke’s review:

While it may seem as if Resident Evil fans are getting shortchanged on this one, it really isn’t the case. Judged on its own merits, Resident Evil 3 is a truly outstanding game. Unlike other series (Street Fighter, Tomb Raider) that offer incremental “improvements,” the RE lineup continues to refine an already excellent premise. This is a series with legs, and each new chapter does nothing to diminish it.

Listed from lowest to highest priced, here’s a short list of the other games you can get during PSN’s Flash Sale:

  • Mirror’s Edge: $2.25
  • BloodRayne – Betrayal: $2.49
  • Mortal Kombat: $2.49
  • Knytt Underground: $2.49
  • Sacra Terra – Kiss of Death: $2.99
  • Sanctum 2: $3.49
  • Beyond Good and Evil: $3.49
  • Giana Sisters – Twisted Dreams: $3.49
  • Portal 2: $4.99
  • Resident Evil Code – Veronica X: $5.99
  • Battle Princess of Arcadia: $7.49
  • Remember Me: $11.99

A game you should definitely consider getting is Portal 2. Only playable on PS3, it’s an absolutely incredible game that will have you hooked within the first couple of minutes. Essentially a puzzle game, the goal is to create puzzles in order to escape the chambers that you are trapped inside. Each “level” gets progressively harder as you advance through the game and even cooler is that you can either play it solo or with someone else.

In fact, you can also rent the first and second volumes of Kill Bill for $3.99 each in SD (or $4.99 in HD). I have to admit that I totally thought it was a game version of the popular movie but as it turns out, it’s the movie itself! So if you want to re-watch (or perhaps even watch for the first time), this two-part phenomenal movie, then here’s your chance!
